Awesome place in Tifton GA. We stopped because of my fiance wanted some pecans and we got a few things to snack on. If u like jellies and jams u will definitely like this stop. I must have seen over 15 types of different jams and jellies plus marmalade. Over 20 types of salad dressings and hot sauce too. Check it out for urself. U might like it..
Great selection of jelly, jams, preserves, hot sauces, and knickknacks/souvenirs. Excellent customer service. I accidentally dropped our bag right after purchasing and broke two of our items. They were extremely helpful with letting me get replacements even though it was my butterfingers that caused this incident. 100% recommend going an browsing with the family.
We stopped on the way home to Florida and to get gas. We went inside and its amazing all the great things they have in Magnolia Plantation. I always was curious to stop and I had the chance this weekend. So I got some mango butter and that is the most delicious I ever taste.I eat it every day for breakfast. It was worthy to stop. . I want to order some.
Great place to stop for the absolutely AMAZING pecans!!! There is numerous choices of jellies, candies, pecans for baking use and gifts!!! Plus its a great place to stop when Iin need of a clean bathroom on I-75! Stopped there twice to get more of the delectable pecans!
The pecans are good, from local farm that advertises heavily on the highway. They also offer salsa, bbq sauce, steak sauce, and a variety of salad dressings. All worthy of 5 stars, but the incredibly expensive fuel at pumps that barely work, and employees who seriously lack customer service skills killed the 5-star rating. Ill buy elsewhere next time.
Stopped for gas. The pump would not register card and we never did get gas. Just hope it didn’t start because several people told us it was just very slow. Really don’t want someone else to be able to get gas on our card Went inside to tell clerk but she didn’t seemto care. Just said it didn’t show up. Checked some items to purchase but after I saw a fruitcake at full price and a date that was past sell by date I did not purchase anything. We have always stopped there but no more. Bathrooms had just been cleaned but to dry hands you get to tear a paper towel off a roll that belongs in a paper holder.
If this place would spend half as much on buying gas and repairing their gas pump receipt printers and cleaning their bathrooms as they do on BILLBOARDS for the last 20 miles on I-75 they might do some business! Oh and all the candy and nuts they advertise in their billboards are from out of state! Oh and no cigarettes sold in the business. What? a gas station on a major interstate with no tobacco sales? Good grief!
Have been stopping here for years. Always buy snacks and get gas. Always clean bathrooms and eat on and off 75. We travel back & forth from Florida to NC pretty regularly. Sorry to say the last couple stops were awful. No TP in two of the 6 stalls, soap dispenser off the wall and gas tanks were either out of order or so slow it takes forever. Not sure if it’s new management or what but whatever the case management needs to take a long hard look.
This is a good place to use the restroom and thats about it. A lot of their decent goods are seasonal and everything else is pretty low quality. The folks who work there are nice but they really need to do a complete makeover of the gas station and all of their electronics and systems theyre using in the shop. Its completely outdated half the pumps dont work A lot of the buttons on the pumps dont work very poor quality.
On a road trip with 3 kids and its pouring down raining, its 8pm right on the head and the lady working there wouldnt let us in just to let our 7 year old use the restroom. Its understandable that you want to go home and its closing, but its literally 8, your employee could have let my daughter go to the restroom quickly. Note to all parents traveling along the highway, dont stop.
This is a big busy gas station. But don’t think that it is a convenient store or a grocery store or your normal gas station. Inside they have a lot of specialty items like jams, jellies, preserves, cookbooks, T-shirts and touristy gifts. They only have a small selection of sodas and waters either by fountain or bottle. There are no typical snacks, just the specialty items and a lot of nut items. The restrooms are OK. The pumps are always busy but there’s plenty of space to park.
Clean restrooms and nice dog area however premium gas was $4.27 a gallon which was the highest we paid from FL to NE. They have awesome pecan treats but they are pricey too.
Most of the gas pumps are broken. The one we were able to use did not have a to set up the handle for automatic pump. I had to stand and hold it for the gas to pump. The bathrooms were also not clean.
Nice place. Lots of nice amish jellies & things. Place is clean and restrooms r clean nice place to stop. Gas was just a little bit high here.
Have stopped here many times for gas, store items and of course clean ladies room for my wife. Today only about half of the pumps worked and the place was busy with lines. My lady said they rest room was disgusting and couldnt even think of buying products from your store. Please, for the sake of your business get back to the place we always loved to shop.
Today, I was traveling back to Florida from North Carolina. I decided to stop in at 7:10 AM to get some gas. Two workers just opened the store. Both workers see me out there trying to get gas. I walk up to the storefront and ask if the pumps are on. The one co worker says with an attitude that we don’t open until 7:30 AM. Several of their pumps are out of service, I noticed that a few days ago when I had stopped prior to heading to North Carolina. The pumps are still out of service. I will definitely avoid this gas station at all costs.
Nice big clean bathrooms. Good selection of snacks. Friendly staff
From TN and was told to come here. All the signs from the highway could give a heads up they close at 8. But better yet they close early anyways. Got here at 7:30 and they were closed. Over 10 people in the parking lot and gas pumps shut off.
Worst gas station in the country. Dont waste your time if you need fuel. Half the pumps dont work and the other half bary do. Took 35 minutes to put 21 gal of diesel in my truck. Do some maintenance please.
I think this is the store that had the Dog flower pot stand.I wanted to buy one, but decided to when we came back through, but unfortunately we didnt make it.
I disliked the name but on my return trip from Florida, curiosity got the better of me and I stopped. The inside is a stark contrast to the outside. Large, mostly undivided space with large bins of things like nuts, jams, moccasins, and a wide assortment of dressings, one in particular I hadnt seen since leaving Ohio. Side note: The clerk wasnt wearing a mask and this was during a time when the pandemic was still very active. Luckily, most guests were.
Such a great quick stop for all ages traveling through from Florida back home to Iowa if ever come through area again would love to spend more time. Beautiful photo area waterfall clean restrooms and friendly staff. Trinkets jams sauces candy and more 😍💕
Horrible experience. They advertise “large, clean bathrooms”, when in reality the women’s room had 4 or 5 stalls, most of which had old, stained, and clogged toilets. Coming out of the restroom, I noticed about a third of the ceiling tiles had very extreme water damage and black mold- the whole place has a musty smell. I would not buy any kind of food item from this store if I were you. The gas was 45 cents more than what we paid per gallon in Tampa and they’re only open 7:30am-7pm so just skip this one unless you’re about to pee your pants or run out of gas.
One start is too but had no choice. This place was never ever a plantation. We stop thwre on our way back from Florida, We ask a few people the history amd there was none, the enployees told us it was never a plantation. Most everything is Chinese made or made somewhere else. When asked about peaches she said, We aint had none in 2 years .lol Fakes.Thos place is just a Shell gas station and thats iy, So dont go home thinking otherwise .
From Kentucky every time we go South we stop, they got the best shell roasted Peanuts I ever eaten in my life, also my Wife likes their Cook Books, cheap Gas and clean Restrooms, what more could you ask.
Love this place stopped in on our way home. Purchased some bbq sauce. Tried it when we got home and we kick ourselves for not buying a case. I wish the had a website cause I would definitely order multiple sauces from them. Thinking about a road trip just to get some more.
When traveling in the area we stop here because of the large selection of jams and sauces and other items. You have to try their Vandalia onion and peach hot sauce! This is a convenient location that also has fuel and their prices are within reason so give it a try. UPDATE 12/21/18 they still have everything we like and they are in nice neat orderly rows ! I wonder if low man in pecking order gets that job? It makes you hesitate to disrupt the display!
Clean and all ADA restrooms. Lots of yummy gifts.
Why have such huge billboards promoting your business yet they close at 8 on a Friday night with a parking lot full of cars trying to pump fuel without even telling anyone. First time stopping and definitely the last time.
Nice new bathrooms, very clean. But not a true convenience store. Had tons of homemade local products and old fashioned candy. No coffee, no bottle tea, only bottled Coca Cola and Pepsi products. There was a fountain machine for more soda, but again no tea. Looks like a glorified souvenir shop. The women that work here are very curt. All the customers wore face coverings, but not the employees. We stopped here for the Shell gas.
Looks like a good rest stop. It’s not.
This place used to be a nice rest stop, but now its so moldy!! It smells terrible and the vents in the store are black with what looks like mold.
False advertisement the big billboard sign from the highway said had peaches this place does not have peaches
As if the “plantation” in the name wasn’t enough of a deterrent, this place just looks nice from the road. Interior is like a back country bait and tackle shop with semi nice restrooms. The pumps are also very busy and a lot of them don’t work. Keep driving!!
It takes 18 years just to pay for your gas, then the pump handle is broken where I have to hold it the whole time. If youre advertising yourself as a big stop for gas on the highway, you need to make sure I dont spend 15 minutes just pumping gas.
“Large” restrooms closed at lunchtime, busiest time of day. Edit: 10/02/21 Another horrible experience. Tried to get gas at 8:15 pm. No gas! Employees turned off overhead lights while we were trying to get gas. Do not stop here.
The gas pumps were extremely busy, the srore does not have any food to offer. It’s all jams, nuts, T-shirts and other collectible paraphernalia. There are bathrooms, and they were fine. Getting gas with the trailer is kind of a pain when it is so busy, but they had plenty of parking four vehicles with trailers.
Had to use the bathroom and refused to go to an establishment with the name Plantation associated with it. Looking at the reviews, the business is not even worth stopping for.
We have always loved stopping at the Magnolia Plantation on our way from Wisconsin to and from Florida. Imagine our surprise, when we arrived at 7:45 PM, to discover a dark building and locked doors. There were no signs indicating that their hours were different than what it says online, and we were VERY DISAPPOINTED that we weren’t going to be able to purchase items that we had planned on buying as gifts. If an employee decided to “close early” because no one would come in those last 15 minutes, they were wrong! Bad decision Magnolia Plantation!!!
Old, run-down, junk store.... food was stale.
Crummy gas pumps dont take card, half the pumps are down. Employees have a issue with mixed couples
Cleanest bathrooms on the highway and the best chocolate covered pecans!Would 100% come again!
Extremely rude service. Not worth the stop.
Great place to purchase reasonable gifts to bring back home.
That name and that layout of the inside need to be changed! Giving off the wrong vibes
Only had regular gasoline. Bathrooms not very clean.
Gas pumps get shut off... maybe dont advertise yourself so much on the highway if you close early and shut off the pumps. There were at least 8 cars trying to pump gas. Ridiculous!!!!
They do have clean bathrooms!
More advertising than Apple, but with even less of a product. I was warned that it was in no way an actual plantation, but I was driving from Florida to Michigan and needed a break. I thought Id pick up a couple snacks and get some gas. I genuinely couldnt find a single snack item. There was almost no soda, as well. The whole floor is filled with pecans and jellies, but not a single bag of chips or anything else youd expect at a gas station. I never knew I could manage to be this disappointed about a simple gas station.
The restrooms were very clean as was the store the best peach jelly & preserves ever !!!! I live in WI but every time I’m in Georgia my first stop is The Magnolia Plantation
Why one star no employee had mask then was laughed at because I social distanced from worker sweeping floor. Employee should mask up 👆
Adorable little store with lots of pecan products and sauces. A couple little collectibles, but best of all CLEAN RESTROOMS and lots of them. Cheaper gas than one exit up too. Worth the stop coming back from Florida.
Tourist trap. Junk, junk, junk. Makes you think there is something interesting but its filled with cheap reproduced junk, one cooler of drinks that are close to expiring, and stale packaged sweets.
Website says close at 8 pm, was walking up to door at 7:25 pm, cashier locked the doors in my face. I almost always stop here and buy souvenirs for my grandkids and pecans etc. Usually spend over 100 dollars. Never again. As I sat here waiting for my 30 minutes to be up, I counted 23 different vehicles come in and want to buy fuel. Each one had to go someplace else. Keep doing business like that, soon you wont have to worry about posting hours.
Left after asking for assistance and an unmasked employee completely failed to respect basic social distancing. Then we looked around and realized no employees were wearing masks even though most of the patrons were. Really wanted to spend money here, couldn’t stay when it wasn’t minimally safe.We were looking forward to this stop our entire drive home. Huge bummer.
Prices for pecans were in line for what I pay at my local grocery store. So no real reason to stop other than able to buy in larger quantities. The staff was very unfriendly during the checkout process.
Great bathrooms. Be sure to get some chocolate covered peanuts.
Good stopover on drive to Florida. On our last trip, the fuel (Shell) was a good price. Their loos are very clean. Lots of things to shop for, including unique flavours of candy and preserves.
Love this rest stop with its unique plantation style building. Gift shop, peanut brittle, peanuts jams jellies and more. Clean rest rooms and a spot to walk your dog.
Great place for dog walking, good parking lot for travel trailer or moving trucks. Nice clean restrooms.
Super friendly service and very clean! Syrups were delicious and quite the variety of no sugar added syrups. This will be a regular stop on our trips to Florida! Large clean restrooms. Completely handicapped accessible. Loved this place!
Diesel is over $1 higher than a mile either way! High prices also inside. Pays for all the billboards along 75! Nice clean restrooms.
My favorite place to stop on my way to FL. I can get gas, walk my dog, use a very clean rest room & shopping all in one place. Best merchandise! Not always friendly customer service though.
A good selection of local stuff, but the prices are outrageous. I will say, the hot sauce tastes GREAT. The peach is my favorite novelty sauce at the moment. Its worth stopping for gas and a restroom break if you need it. The restrooms are well maintained.
Nice place to stretch it out, very clean restrooms, great shopping from goodies like old-time fudge and candies, to sauces and gifts. Cutest selection of leather moccasins and tees. Also has a large selection of wooden trinket boxes, wall art, vases, and more. Everything is reasonably priced. Been several times now and the employees have always greeted me with a friendly smile and a willingness to be helpful. Highly recommend you check it out, especially around the holidays.
I prefer their pecans over all others Ive tried. Look fresh and are nice and plump!! I do a lot of baking and make it a regular stop each time I drive to FL. Thanks Magnolia Plantation.
Usually stop here for fuel but purchased some BBQ sauce this time. Highly recommend the apple cinnamon. Great for ribs.
A GAS STATION AND A LITTLE MARKET FULL OF FOOD SPECIAL TO GEORGIA?! Count me in! We got lots of bags of pecans, candied pecans, pecan logs, chocolate covered pecans, and pecan brittle.
Just stopped there on our way home from Florida. Bathrooms were clean. We purchased several syrups, jams, mustards and candied pecans. The praline pecans were fantastic which I would have purchased more. Prices were a little high but the quality of the items were really good. The inside of the store is a little old. Worth a trip if you are passing through.
Three years ago the restrooms were clean but over the past three years the women’s bathroom smells so bad I almost can’t walk in. They said to me they mop every night but I disagree. We travel to and from North GA to Florida once a month so I see the negative progression . I’m gonna bring my own can of Lysol next time :/ or try to find another gas station that is at the halfway point for us
Great experience shopping, easy parking, friendly cashier. Music outside was far too loud. Good selection of cedar boxes and candy, but wouldve liked to buy a small amount of taffy but only large containers available. Did not use restrooms so I cant review condition. Soda with ice available. Excellent pecan candy!
The other plantation is cleaner. And safer. I would not stop again unless I absolutely had to and had other people with me; even then it would have to be from a break down. Could easily be a ht joint.
Awesome place! There were lots of neat things to look at. There were plenty of different types of jams, jellies, sauces, and nuts to buy. Everyone was very friendly! We will definitely stop again on our future trips to Florida.😁
Better than average location: lots of merchandise, friendly cashiers, competitive gas prices, big bathrooms that are clean & well stocked. Gas was $2.29 and that was the cheapest around for today. Only half of the pumps were operational. We didn’t wait too long for a pump. We had difficulty paying at the pump with our Shell Fuel Rewards Network card. We wanted our 5¢ off per gallon. So we had to pay an arbitrary amount inside, fuel up, and get a new receipt for the true total. While we gassed up we were able to clean the windows and use the bathrooms.
Closing time listed as 8pm. Got there at 7:50 on a Wednesday and looked like place had been closed for a while. Tried pumping fuel and pump shut off after putting in only 6 cents and would not come back on. Had to drive to another station and paid 25 cents more per gallon. This was a planned stop to use restrooms and refill fuel that was a total bust. Shell corporate notified as I am NOT happy.
I was recently traveling through this area very early in the morning and I was by myself. I suddenly found myself in need of gas and a restroom. I pulled up to the store but couldnt really tell if it was open or not. I filled my gas tank and then it hit me that I really needed a rest room. I walked from the gas pump to the front of the store because I saw several ladies walk out into the store from what looked like an office. I knocked on the glass door and asked if I could please use their restroom. The first girl looked at me and told me no that they didnt open until 7:30. I was probably close to tears by that time and knocked again, practically begging them to open the door when an older lady came over to the door and asked if I was by myself. I told her I was, that I had just filled my gas tank and could I please use their restroom. She unlocked the door and let me use the restroom. I thanked them all on my way out. To the ladies working that morning I would like to thank you for letting me in your establishment 20 minutes before opening and I truly hope you never have to experience the same thing and if you do I hope you find a compassionate clerk.
As others had said, we stopped because of all the signs on the highway for this place. I was expecting a lot more..... The prices are high, and the girl behind the counter wasnt the most friendliest person to deal with. They do have a lot to offer, but I would just keep driving and not stop in....
I stop here for praline pecans everytime I go south. Huge new restrooms clean but gas pumps crowded I just by specialty treats. Could use more convenience items less gift shop stuff.
Tourist trap targeted at all those Disney/Florida bound drivers...do yourself a favor and keep driving. No lie, almost all of the pecan products, jellies, salsas, dressing, syrups, and every other souvenir type thing can be purchased at almost any gas station off 75.I live in Florida and travel to see my grandparents in Ga several times a year, this is the first time I’ve ever stopped here and it was bc I wanted to get pralines...imagine my surprise when I discovered this place only has mass produced pre packaged single pralines! From the many many signs off the highway I thought it would be a little bit more authentic lol.And they REALLY should have samples out for everything...but then again, maybe there’s a good reason why they don’t! Maybe they wouldn’t sell as much if everyone was able to taste it first lol
I was expecting a lot more being as though there were so many signs along the road. Most of the gas pumps were out of service and lines took forever to get to the pump. They took forever to pump and could not even get a receipt. The service was horrible. The cashier, a young blonde girl, was terrible. She was slamming our stuff so hard on the counter I am surprised nothing broke. The only good thing I can say about this place is the bathrooms were for the most part clean.I do not recommend taking the time to stop. Very disappointed.
Can’t believe this place only has station I have ever been to that does not have coffee will never stop here again
