Stopped to get my son measured for a tux rental for a wedding, was also going to purchase shoes. They said that unless we purchased the suit there they would not do it. Left the shoes there. Since I cannot add an official rebuttal, I am amending my review to reflect my response. Let me add, the sizing was for a tuxedo RENTAL for a wedding that was over three hours away! We had no problem having to do this in the past with another store.

Overpriced, not competitively priced and limited inventory of quality items above size small for women. There are some items that appear to have been previously worn and placed back into stock. Be careful not to purchased those items marked at new/retail price. It makes me question if the owner/employees wear or loan items out to friends and family then put it back on the rack to sell at full price.Reputable: I wont bother coming back or recommending the Big Snobbery Store. Ill order on line thru the company brand websites to get better deals. I was misguided to think it could be an experience to have a variety of selections to browse through before making a purchase. I was rushed to make my selections. I guess I didnt have the look of their type or typical customer. The lady handling checkout was rude and disrespectful to the lady helping me. She was delighted to help others, delayed acknowledging us to help other staff with their regulars/friends (relationships known if calling by name). Ive read some of the other reviews and totally concur with the rudeness, selective behavior towards customers and hovering customers of certain statuses. If you have a problem with thieves, you might be looking at the wrong people, look inward! Rate change from 3 to 1 star because it wouldnt edit to no stars!

Highest quality, best variety merchandise anywhere. Their sales are amazing. A hint: the person who greets you is your person for your entire visit. Use their knowledge. They are a wonderful staff of salespeople.

Our family loves this store. I remember being a child and getting to spin the big wheel. Mr. Phil showed me some shoes and my life will never be the same. Best pair of shoes ever.

I purchased pants and 2 belts of leather and I have worn them for over 13 years and they are still going strong. I would recommend this store for all people.

I have been in this store only a couple times, and each time the employees followed me and who I was with around. They watched us like hawks for no apparent reason other than we are young adults. I bought my boyfriend a shirt from there, and it did not fit him so I took it back to exchange it. I spoke with someone on the phone the day before I brought in the shirt, and she said that it would be okay as long as I had the receipt. I came in the next day, and an older lady there told me that they couldn’t accept the shirt because it was out of their return policy. I went back and forth with the lady telling her that someone else yesterday told me that it could be exchanged. She didn’t want to believe me and she had the WORST attitude. After talking to the owner, she came back and said she would exchange the shirt this one time, but she cant give me in store credit (meaning if I grabbed a shirt that was less than what the first one cost I would be out money). I was okay with that and picked out a shirt and checked out. It did not sound right when I had a balance, but I just wanted to get out of there. I was uncomfortable, and the employee was treating me like garbage. When I got home, I noticed that I was not given the tax back on the first shirt (they kept that), and I wasn’t given the sale price on the second shirt so they overcharged me $18. I am beyond livid, and I am just lost for words. What kind of respectable business does this? If I could give them less than 1 star, I would.

What a great establishment! Drove over an hour to check it out today, with two young kids, and had such an incredible experience. The staff was BEYOND helpful, the inventory for my husband was eclectic and well priced- Vans and Nikes he has been looking for alongside formal shoes. And did I mention how nice everyone was? Thank you all!!!

My husband and I stopped by The Big Store today for the first and LAST time. We have NEVER felt so uncomfortable while shopping in a store!! The employees watched us the entire time we shopped. If the employees were really concerned about our trustworthiness why not offer to help us. The gentleman that greeted my husband was actually kinda creepy and made the statement that he wasnt going to hover over him, but promptly grabbed a young girl and placed her to watch his every move while he went to help another customer. So obvious! He did buy a couple of pair of shorts, but almost took them back because of the way they made us feel. We are bargain shoppers and look at everything for a good deal. We do not want to steal your stuff!! We wont be back no matter how BIG your sale is at the BIG STORE! By the way all sales are final too!

This place was such a gem. As a traveler this was just a random stop along the way in a small town, so to find a place like this stocking all the high-end and eco conscious outdoor brands was a real treat. Service was super friendly and helpful too.

I’ve been shopping at this store for years...but today was by far the worst experience ever! There was a lady standing & watching me & my coworker as if we were theives!!!! We couldn’t shop because she was standing like a soldier over us! I’m so serious.....I finally waved at her & said ‘hello, how are you’? We will never step foot in there again, not that they care but if enough of us stop going in there I promise you it will subtract from their sales. It’s so sad to be treated as such, I’m probably one of the last people on Gods green earth that will steal! The ones they don’t watch are the ones that steal from them. I know I’m right because I’ve witnessed it with my very own eyes. Rant over!!! Don’t shop there!!!!! This store doesn’t deserve 1 star!!!!!

Best clothes selection and service!

I drive all the way from Atlanta to do business with this store. They know how to service the right way with customers. They take the time to fit you correctly and also make the right suggestions with you in mind. Well worth the drive!

Went shopping for sons birthday and they had the best deals and clothes.

Not impressed. Saw the signs for Patagonia. Thought wed give it a try. When we entered, two employees were just standing there gossiping. They looked at us when we walked it, barely greeted us and just kept talking. That was ok. We didnt need help locating anything. We could see the very small section of ladies Patagonia options. We walked further back into the store. There was a counter in the middle with another employee that was digging in her ear with her finger. I greeted her. funny. As we travelled further into the store, a man did greet us and asked if we needed help. We mentioned the ladies Patagonia. He said they were working hard to unpack the merchandise. Going as fast as they could to get it all out. Someone should let the ladies know. Maybe they could help him out. lol

They have a great selection, but sometimes the prices are a little on the high side. However, it’s a great stop for all kinds of outfit occasions, and the sales are hard to beat!
