This place is amazing. Bravo for enforcing the masks, but A+++ for true craft beer selection.The bonus on top was a knowledgeable and fun beertender and an amazing fruited sour ale on tap!

Happened across this place, and it is everything I look for in a beer store / bottle shop. Lots of local beer. Can buy individual cans or bottles. Super helpful staff. Clean environment. Very well organized and displayed. So far away from my apartment, but definitely want to return.

They always have a nice local selection here. Its easy to pre-order online and then just swing by to pick up my order. Service has always been great too.

Amazing place for those who like to try a variety of only the best beers/brewers around. They have a fairly straightforward website to browse and place orders for pickup. Better yet, they have a taproom so you can sit down and indulge in a cold beer when picking up your orders or browse and buy in person.

Great selection on tap. And KILLER selection to go.Its not a liquor store though- you can pay a small fee to drink your beers there.They offer Bingo, Yoga, a Running Club, tastings ALL the time. They just had a movie night.They offer more than Ive even tried but I will keep coming back :-) Our area needed places like this. Its great to see that they are popping up and doing well.

Awesome bottle shop and a great place to get a pour of some hard to find local beers. Have made several stops here and they always seem to have some of the more rare finds in the area. Just wish I lived a bit closer.

I was looking for a place local to Chicagoland that could fill an order for a 1/6bbl keg of New Holland Dragons Milk. Came across the website for The Open Bottle and filled out their keg order form, not sure if they could do it or not, but only a couple hours later I had an email confirming that they could and offering an absolutely fantastic price to boot! The whole process was easy - havent been in to browse or enjoy a beer there yet but they have absolutely won a new customer with the experience so far!!

Outstanding collection and many little known gems. This is a favorite specialty beer store.

The owners and staff are super awesome and polite. The beer selection will allow anyone to find a beer to enjoy and the atmosphere is chill. As of 9/26/20 there is very limited seating indoor and they do online reservations and take out. This is also a great place to sit and socialize while being about to try new beer without having to commit to a full case or 4/6 pack. Highly highly recommend this place!

A laid-back place to try out various beers. I love going to their Thursday night Brewery Bingo events, too. I really like how the staff happily answers questions about the various products they offer. For those who aren’t big beer drinkers, they also sell ciders and various wines as well as a small sampling of nonalcoholic beverages. They’ve got something for just about everyone here!

Made my day. Had a hard time finding a brewery that was dog friendly so just stopped in to get some local brews to take back to the hotel. Was so happy to enjoy some beer there with my dog! Felt very welcome and we had a great time.Thanks

The Open Bottle is amazing. The owners are great people who provide a wonderful environment for craft beer lovers to feel at home. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The beer selection is outstanding. They get fresh beer and new releases daily. Being dog friendly is great! The events they hold are awesome. I absolutely love the tap takeovers and rare tapping events they host. They are doing an awesome job and are in a good location. The draft prices are a little high.

The absolute mecca for craft beer nerds in the south suburbs of Chicago! Specializing in local, and not so local brews, youll be sure to find something new to wet your whistle. I love the layout of the store, making it easy for my virtual bartender friend to tell me where to find a certain beer. They keep new releases coming, and announce these via their social media channels. You can even enjoy some beer at their locations in a taproom style offering, as well as bottles. If your still reading this, you should of already left to check them out!

This place is great! We stopped here last night and couldnt be more thrilled with the experience. Both Julie and Patrick take great care of their customers. Im not sure what that lady in a previous review was saying about this place being pricey. THE PRICES ARE GREAT! They are right there next to other similar stores in the area... plus they have draft! Who doesnt like a good beer while shopping? Id rather spend my money here to a family business than give it to corporations any day! The selection, the price, at the atmosphere are A+!Keep up the good work! We will definitely be back soon.

The Mornin Delight tap release from Goliath Brewing Co. was phenomenal! I was impressed with the selection of beer from Brewers all over the country and imports too. Staff was accomodating and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend you check it out! 😊

Cost was much more than any of the 5 other local establishments/breweries that offer a good variety of beers. It seemed clean and bright though.

The only positive I can give is that they have a good selection of beer... however, RARE or Variant releases stay in the back for regular customers. I was in one day, asked about a VLAD Maple that they posted. I asked the staff and they said they were sold out. Then a gentleman walks in and calls the bartender by name and asks for a Maple Vlad and the guy goes to the back and brings it to him and rings him up. I ask after why he didnt sell it to me, and I received sorry man.Beyond this, dogs coming in without leashes and arrogant staff is a bit normal. Been there 5 times now and Im done. Im a consumer willing to pay the same as anyone else and we all should have the same treatment as others.

The selection of craft beer here is amazing, with a lot of local brewery products which is awesome. The girl working there was very friendly and greeted me when I walked in. You can grab a pint or beer out of the cooler to enjoy while youre out checking all they have to offer. Only a couple small complaints. They are a little expensive, but thats not unexpected for a specialty store like this. They have a build your own 6 pack section which is great (not advertised), but they could have a bigger selection there.

Wonderful bottle shop. A great selection of beer from around the US and a few international brews as well. The staff is attentive, polite, and very friendly. This bottle shop features 8 rotating draft beers. They also have a daily tasting and too many great beer events to count. If I could award more stars I would.

Oh my. A true craft beer lovers Disneyland. There is a tremendous amount beer. If you cant find something to bring home from here, you have no idea what you are doing. There is a well stocked section of Illinois crafts, with multiple items from each brewery. I really like the quaintness of it all. There wasnt stacks of brews lying around, but instead, maybe only a 6 pack or two. While I didnt check any born on dates, the shop appears to stock things that are fresh in more manageable quantities. Next time Ill hang around long enough to sample a draft or two, again a great bonus while shopping.

Only spot I can find my favorite Basil Mint cider. The staff is always friendly and theyre a locally owned business. Great place!

Neat place serving just craft beer. There is a $2-4 cork charge for package goods, depending on how many ounces it is. You can order food for delivery or bring in your own. Friendly and helpful staff.

Shop your craft beer and drink it there too! Pat and Julie do a great job at keeping a great, ever changing inventory of beers on the shelves, and also have a good variety on tap if youd like to sit down for a few in the store. Couldnt recommend this place more. Keep up the good work guys!

If this place was in my town, I probably would be a big trouble. The best possible craft beers available, and always something new or experimental from a sought after brewery. They always get Saint Errant, who I love. Great staff too, cool events like run club and yoga. They know a ton about beer. You have to get in there. It is worth a drive, even if like me it is about 30 minutes away from you.

Ordered a hailstorm Vlad which Ive drank in many occasions at the hailstorm Brewing Company in Tinley Park. After the first taste I recognized a strong vinegar aftertaste after finishing the swallow of beer. When I informed the barkeep of the vinegar aftertaste and explain that my experience with hailstorm Vlad has never been such he explained thats exactly how its supposed to taste. I said okay and my experience thats not correct but in that case and I would like to change the spare for different selection after bringing me a different beer he then informed me have to charge me not only for the beer that I returned it had the vinegar taste for $10 but it happened also charge me for $10 for the new beer. First off who does that second off if thats what youre going to do dont bring me the second beer and then tell me you going to bill me for two beers afterwards tell me what youre going to do beforehand then I can make a choice to walk out of your establishment or not. Previously had much better experiences at open bottle.

Customers are always bringing in beer to sample, overall great place to enjoy a beer and shop. Prices are great as well, highly recommended.

They carry everything you could ever want to drink!! Helpful staff when I was trying to chose a wine for a gift. If you are having a party they carry everything alcoholic you would need.

Absolutely loved this place! Its a craft beer heaven with so many things to look at. The owners, Patrick and Julie, are always there and so welcoming to help you select the perfect beer. Not to mention that they have 8 taps to help you decide on what to buy! It is now my go-to beer shop in the area.Also make sure to ask them about their daily tasting too. When I was in there the other day, Patrick sampled out a small taster of a new IPA from Arrowhead Ales. It became one of my favorites and I even picked up a bottle for myself and girlfriend.

We made the mistake of coming in about 45 minutes before closing time. It was clear that the bartender wanted everyone out so he could close the doors at 9:59. I understand being tired and wanting to go home but if your business is open till 10 then you should make people feel welcome until 10. Seriously, it’s like having people over for dinner and while they are eating desert you take out the vacuum cleaner and start turning off all the lights. Very disappointing!Customers keep your doors open.

BEST BOTTLE SHOP IN CHICAGOLAND. PERIOD. I will always sing the praises of OB. Tons of great selection on tap and their bottle selection is massive. Been coming here since they opened. The staff really makes it special too. Bring your kids! Bring your dog! Enjoy beer...and stay for another.

Great shop with a variety of quality beer

When I visit from out of town this is always my first stop. I love how they work with local breweries for releases and love how I can always fond some great beer to bring home. Staff is super cool and knowledgeable.

My husband and I come in a couple times a month usually with friends. We love the atmosphere, beer, games, and the chill environment. We were excited about the Sundae release this past weekend. Unfortunately we couldnt make it until 2:30. We were bummed when the release was already out. So of course we bought the bottle, thats what we came for. Ok, so ready to leave we pay the bill and charged $4.00 to open the bottle!! Really? Could you please explain the hefty price to open the bottle? To be honest the Sundae release was just ok. We were both expecting a more flavorful beer. With that being said we will be back, but just felt the need to share. I guess we will ask more questions next time.

Beer selection amazing!The staff cant say the same. Within my visit there was a group of people just having a good time, drinking good beer, socializing. But one the employee was apparently bothered by their noise volume. So bothered he blasted the music to cancel their noise out. The worse part dude was a total dick and still told the group yeah Im turning up the music cause you guys are loud, jokingly. When that group left and dude started complaining about how loud they were and annoying to other customers, made me question how jokingly the smart comment he made to the group about being loud was. I was sitting next to this group for atleast an hour, they werent bothering me,annoying, or too loud. Again great selection of beer guys. But from what I saw just gave me the wrong impression about this place.
