I would like to comment about Jason as he has been there from beginning and has always responded to our calls and any issues which arose. We recently had a hose brake which was brand new and we were unable to get the hose immediately and the pool turned green with the heat and lack of filtering. We called Jason, who offered all his expertise and took our water sample and within almost a day we had our pool back to normal. Jason has always gone out of his way and we feel that Great Escape is lucky to have such a great employee. Thank You Very Much

Worst customer service ever! Go elsewhere. We went here twice to research a particular pergola and worked with the same two sales reps. Our younger son came along also, which appeared to be a nuance to them even though he wasnt poorly behaved. We came back to purchase today, and struggled to get the same two reps to assist us. We told them we wanted to purchase this particular pergola today. They seemed annoyed with us, I guess thinking we wouldnt follow through?? Jennifer told us shed have to see if it was in stock, walking away from us. Then she and the male rep helped another customer, which okay, but afterwards the 2 reps stood talking to each other. What?! No one came back to us...we waited for a bit and walked out. Just because someone wants to research an item they will be spending $3800 on doesnt mean they wont buy it or you are wasting your time with them!! Your loss! Horrible shopping experience. I will not be purchasing from this store or be recommending this store to any friends or family. Get some new sales reps who actually want to do their job and sell some products, not be snotty nosed to their customers!

To be honest, we were gonna give our business to American Sales. But, when we got there, it was 30 minutes to closing, and the sales people acted like they didnt see us. Originally I purchased a pool last year 2020 around March right before the pandemic hit. 2021 I noticed my pool filter was damaged because of winter.I was unaware you had to remove every last drip of water out of the pool filter in which I was not informed. I went to the location in Orland Park where I originally purchased the pool. When I arrived and spoke to a Salesman and he was finding every way to say no but couldn’t find one way to say yes. I ordered another pool filter, I got a message 4days later my filter was in. Headed to the store I spoke to another salesman about my situation and he also finding ways to say no. There was a group of men standing off to the side and apparently one of them was the president of the company, he contacted me the next day and told me to take the pieces that I needed and he would buy the other pieces back because they always run out of parts. I went back two days later and was refunded 80% of what I paid which was great all I wanted was for somebody to act like they care. I referred my sister last year and she spent thousands of dollars on her pool as well.Show empathy like you care.Your customer Luis Rivera

I purchase a $4,000 patio table and chairs on 6/20/20 and it still has not been delivered! The umbrella and 8 incorrect chairs were delivered on 7/10. Nobody knows when the wrong chairs will be picked up. To make matters worse, they were damaged during the storms we had last week. I have now spent nearly the entire summer without a patio table. I called again today and my salesperson is off and nobody could figure out where the table is at or when it will be delivered. My salesperson has been very nice but he has no information. I have made several large purchases at this store in the past and never had any trouble. I am extremely frustrated. I want answers!!

AWESOME EXPERIENCE FOR THIS POOL AMATEUR!!! I had little knowledge about owning and maintaining a pool, but Jason and his staff were always available to answer any of my questions. They walked me through the purchase and installation and made me feel comfortable about my investment. I highly recommend this Great Escape location.

We started out great with the service. We placed our order and the sales rep said it will be delivered assembled to your garage or for an extra $60 they will set it up on your patio or deck for you! We said garage is fine because the deck was still not complete. The delivery day comes and guys just set the boxes on a pallet by our garage and said theres no assembly by them! Sales rep gets mad at our frustration and then they turn it around on us that we didnt hear them or misunderstood them! To top it off we have yet to receive the cushions we ordered and we are the ones that keep calling to check only to be told they cant track the products arriving and that they are coming from other stores! We are now 1 month in and season is over without cushions and have no clue when they will arrive.

Called was told item is in stock. Was told only way to purchase is in store - pool ladder. Arrived had zero in stock. Had a bad experience in Joliet also - salesman seemed rushed. We were told they didnt have it in stock to try Orland Park - no offer to look in their system or call other store to hold.

Requested a recommendation for a pool opening service from the Great Escape. They supposedly vet the companies that they refer through a vetting that involves them checking to see if the companies are insured and bonded. We had a terrible time with the service and our pool partially collapsed because they drained the pool during the service and it rained shortly after. This company Just in time Pools has been stating they will repair the damage since spring . Well its almost winter and after six months they sent out a crew who said that they could not fix the problem caused by their company and if they close the pool it will probably make the pool collapse over the winter. We have since made numerous attempts to have them follow up but only get promises of they will contact us tomorrow. Jason at the Great Escape has stated he has called them and that they will call but no one has called. When I ask for the information about the bonding and insurance that Jason said they require to recommend he ignores our requests and instead stated that Mike was a stand up guy and he will follow up. All we want is the insurance company name so we can get an adjuster out to assess the damage before winter .

I am a first year pool and home owner, and the assistance and advice I received for opening my pool and getting it ready for the season was amazing. Rudy R. in particular provided and continues to provide me with expert advice and tips for my pool. Before going to Great Escape I went to two other places nearby and the advice I got at those places was honestly a waste of time and money. Ill keep shopping here because they hire knowledgeable folks.

Called to purchase chemicals, solar cover, and some other supplies. They no longer offer curbside. I went to the store and it’s packed. Guess what I doing curbside with American sales. The prices are great but the service leaves something to be desired. My salesperson was Elliott, nice guy until I questioned him. I was sent an email by the Delivery department with multiple people and know one responded.. I am attempted to have a delivery service pick up my hot tub. You would think, they could release the hot tub. There are no answers from anyone ad of yet. Cheaper is not always better... waiting 30 days for delivery is a bit much snd the arrogance is unprofessional. I was told, I can get my money back right away.. where does this happens.

I went to American sales and compared prices. The Great Escape was approximately $1,700 cheaper for a 24’ pool. The staff at the great escape was great Jason took care of us and I was super happy with his honesty, knowledge and helpfulness. We had a budget and he made sure we got everything possible with that budget. I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. Jason’s personality really made the experience amazing. He can take a joke but always maintains professionalism. Jason is the man and my family has enjoyed the pool but sometimes we just go back to visit Jason because of his personality. The Great Escape is my familys go to store for outdoor items, fitness equipment and gaming tables. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable--you never feel pushed to buy something like at some other retailers--and the prices cant be beat. They have quality products and great customer service too. Its always worth the trip to the nearest location or I just give a Rob a call and our new purchase is delivered in a matter of days. Ping pong table is next on the list!

I went to the great escape in Jan/Feb 2020 in search of a pool and meet Jason Swinson. I told him Ive searched for pools and even showed him the quote I got at American sales. Jason was so extremely knowledgeable about pools/process and all that comes with it. Jason didnt pressure me or even act like a Salesperson, he truly gave me all my options and was very honest about everything and helped me make the best decision that worked for my wallet and my wants/needs for a pool. My experience in buying the pool was amazing and even better yet; When the official statewide lock down in IL came into effect, Jason really stepped up, even considering he was short staffed, building closed, etc. I was uncertain if the pool would even be installed in April as scheduled and he made sure that the heater/gas line installers plus the pool installers were still on track. Jason also assured me that any pool needs I have I can reach out to him at any time and sure enough hes been there through the install of everything, set up, meeting at the store for chemical pick up and through all of my questions which are still on going lol. I highly recommend The great escape and Jason for all of your pool needs. Theyre reasonable priced, fair, honest, dont oversell, extremely knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to help.

First time shopping with the Great Escape and you know what they say.... you only get one time to make a good first impression. My fiancee and I were in the market to purchase a pool table. Ive been researching places and comparing prices. Fortunately our sales person Rob and the Great Escape made the choices... that fitted our budget and the customer service was excellent. There are some other things that Im still interested in buying for our home, and Im sure well be returning to the Great Escape and looking for Rob to do business with again.

We purchased a pool last year and now realized we are adding deck and therefore the ladder we received with the pool would not work. We came back to the store and found our sales person Jason who was just as attentive as when we made our initial purchase of our family pool. As we now need a step to mount to our deck. He gave us a credit towards the new set of steps and he returned the ladder even tho it was 6 months old. We will definitely continue to do business with this store because people really do care about ones needs. The entire staff is courteous and knowledgeable and it is hard to find that in a retail store in this day and age. Just want to drop a note to Jason at Orland Park store. I had some common things/ issues and he solved them in an instant with our pool. His response to my questions and keeping me posted at all times on orders were outstanding. In todays world, we cant always get things in an instant, but with communication and understanding things work out. I bought a full pool package through this location and would not go anywhere else. Jason always has the solution we need. I advise anyone looking into a pool store, or need an experienced point of view, please call him. You will not be disappointed.

Oh my goodness 😍! This place was excellent. The crepes are gigantic. Mine was about 9 inches long and 6 inches wide filled with peaches, pears, apricot jam, almonds, vanilla sauce, and whipped cream. Total with coffee and after taxes is about 11 bucks. For the meal I got it was definitely a good value. If youre in Orland looking for a fresh tasting bite this is a must try. I cant wait to bring my girls here. The coffee was good, hot, and fresh, and the lady who assisted me was very nice. The crisp blue and white bistro tables and chairs were very French. Overall this place gets 5 stars.

We purchased the large patio umbrella for an anniversary gift from the Great Escape and we could not be happier with the price, service or product purchased. I had to do it in a hurry and the staff was able to advise me with helpful information and help me make the transaction, delivery and installation in a quick hurry. We could not have been more pleased with the selection and the final price, but the icing on the cake was how easy they made delivery and installation. I would highly recommend these guys for any of your outdoor needs.

I went in just to look around again to see what they had to offer. I have been planning to purchase a pool for my grandchildren since last year. Jason Swinson is a great asset to your company. He did an amazing job helping and explaining all the details of our purchase. We were very impressed with his knowledge and selling skills. He went above and beyond our expectations. He has exceeded all our shopping needs. It was really adorable how Jason always made sure that we were comfortable with our pool purchase. Even after the pool was installed he called us to make sure were doing ok and if we had any questions. He also send us pool cheat sheet in our email so that we can follow on how to maintain a pool. This location is great. Everyone who works there has been very helpful and extremely nice. I worked with Rob and he helped me choose the perfect setup for my needs. They have also helped me with my chemical questions and got my pool water perfect. Anytime I need anything pool related. I will always come here first.

I ordered a patio set on June 28th. It was delivered on July 11th but the leg of the sofa was snapped off. I was told I would have to wait 11 days before they could come and collect the broken sofa and replace - I said this wasnt OK as I had a huge boxed sofa that was both an eyesore and was blocking access to my garage that would have to sit there for almost two weeks. Eventually after calling many times they agreed to collect the damaged sofa on July 14th. I was then informed that there were no replacement sofas in stock but they would try and find one in store. I have chased them 3 times and all I have been told is that they havent heard back from stores. So now Ive paid for a complete set, have no sofa and no one has offered me a solution despite me continually contacting them. Horrific service, will never order from this company again.

The manager Jason is always at his desk and never acknowledges anyone walking in and seems to make a point not to say hello. While I understand he might be busy I’ve been to this location over 25 times and not once has he acknowledged me or anyone else that I’ve ever seen. We did have to deal with him for a few issues here and there and he always seems uptight and stressed out and generally very unhappy. Prior to covid I can’t tell you how many times I walk in and it’s like party central in the front with the employees mostly sales people standing in front laughing. When asked for help they seem annoyed that their conversation was interrupted. I’ll head down to American Sales going forward.

Bought a pool for our family over the summer and so glad we did. From the consultation to the installation we have been VERY pleased. There were a few snags along the way, but Jason took care of everything every time. It was the best customer service experience I have ever had. NO HASSEL ever. They seem to need some diversity training. We brought an LED umbrella from here Sunday July 19th 2020 and instead of giving us a new umbrella he immediately gave us the floor model even after we informed him it was still a new umbrella in stock. The floor model didnt light up, he didnt take time to make sure it did indeed work. Returned it the very next day he didnt even speak to us or say sorry. Very unprofessional

Jason worked day and night to get this issue resolved. He put up with my countless e-mails and texts but was always professional and courteous. The result was a very happy ending thanks to Jason and the upper management of Great Escape. I will never forget what Great Escape did for me and still dont know how to thank them enough.

Used this location to add to patio furniture we already owned. We were well received, no pressure. The particular item we were interested in had to be special ordered. Ugh! Rob made this very simple with really no long delays. One little issue was the table came in with the wrong pole. With one phone call this problem was fixed and had a replacement within a few days. The service exceeded our expectations. Will definitely return to this location for any future needs.

My overall experience with Jason was great!!! Besides weather causing delays on pool being installed which is difficult and frustrating but necessary for professional installation from pool installation contractors... so be patient and understanding in that part if you want it to be done right the first time without any issues. Jason always answered all my questions and concerns, he is genuinely a great person and cares about your project! I would not hesitate to ever refer him to be your go to guy for any pool/spa installations-purchases.

Every time I go there they have an excuse for not doing water testing. Our pool was bought from there. I have to drive well out of my way to Leslies in Tinley Park. They are always willing to test my water samples. Now I buy my supplies from them.

We purchased a pool through Great Escape a few years ago and the salesman Jim Bruen has been super helpful making sure we have everything we need to get the pool open and started. If we run across an issue he is there to help resolve it and guide us in the right direction. We have always had a pleasant experience shopping at the Great Escape.

Bought my pool from the Great Escape 7 years ago and to this day if I ever have a problem or question,I know I’ll get a straight answer from Jason. He’s a joy to see when I go in the store for supplies and has never steered me wrong. He won’t push items just to sell you something, which is an honesty you don’t find often enough anymore! Thanks Great Escape for having a friendly staff, they’re all wonderful, but Jason goes out of his way to make sure a customer is happy.

We purchased a Hot Tub from GE, and were initially guided through the educational process of Tub comparisons by Jason. The best part of our experience, however, came after our purchase. Throughout the last 3 years we have had various user questions come up, and we have always been able to pick up the phone or go to the store and have excellent customer service follow up. Jason and the Orland Park Staff at GE are genuinely concerned about their customers truly enjoying the use of their products. Even when we had an issue with the manufacturer about a particular part that failed, Great Escape did not pawn us off to deal with the manufacturer directly; instead, they called on our behalf and scheduled a service visit. There was no hassle....the part was replaced without question, and everything has been great since.In todays age it seems that customer service is about passing the buck, instead of truly caring about the customer...………….Great Escape still embraces the good old fashion way of caring for its customers.
