I gave it two stars because we did at least receive the oxygen that was needed for my dad. Although it was delivered well after 9PM. The customer service when you call is horrible and I feel they need to be trained on how to talk with customers. Also, scheduling the pick up of tanks is even worse; its like they expect you to be home for multiple days at a time all day because they dont know what time they will pick it up. Then the entire day passes and still no one to pick up the tanks, you call and they tell you oh its been changed to two days later, great when was that going to be communicated with us. HORRIBLE service.
Sent home from hospital with empty tank. At 7 pm Fitzsimmons called and said dispatched to homeAt 10:30 pm someone calls ( Battest?) and says they are a long distance away. First thing in morning deliveryTried calling and,got bounced around. Worst service I have ever encountered for something so critical to a persons LIFE.
A real pain to deal with initially. I found that I was chasing them after my doctor sent details. Then they wanted me to drive 45 mins to let them access something they could get online. The doctor sent the data in an email to them and that got the ball rolling. But I am not certain I will stay a customer after the initial problems. They really do not care about their clients and dont really want new business. I dont want apologies, I want good service.
Im not sure if my original negative review prompted better service, but someone called today to inform me of the progress of acquiring my new equipment. I imagine if you get the right person, the experience is different. The lady I spoke to today was polite and helpful, however that has not been the case with everyone.
Can I enter ZERO STARS? Why dont do their jobs anymore? I went through a long process to get my CPAP supplies in December of 2020, received one shipment and never heard back. I have been paying for them MYSELF even though I have good insurance. Ive called and called and called to no avail.
Very unorganized operation.They don’t seem to be interested in following up or taking care of their patients.You have to follow up with them several times to get anything done and when you visit their office nobody steps up to help you. I imagine whoever owns this place is sipping margaritas someplace warm and the people working here are left without direction.
They called last Thursday to tell us theyd call Monday before they came to get my moms oxygen tanks they never called back and were still stuck with the oxygen tanks. Piss poor company if you ask me. Weve delt with other companies that handled oxygen tanks and they were prompt and professional 👎👎
In all our dealings with Fitzsimmons we have always been treated very well. We have been their customers for several years culminating in an insurance problem last June. The staff could not have been more kind and understanding; the company allowed us to keep the breathing apparatus we were renting until we were able to get things straightened out at no cost (about 2 1/2 months)! We will always be thankful for this exceptional regard in putting patient need first.
This place does not do. What they say. Every time you need something they are booked she’s two days fir them to answer your call very bad service chec other service out before you use them need portable tanks silvered you have to wait 6 days before they get to you but you still have to pay your bill
I have been on oxygen for a year. Have never had a problem with this company. Always prompt & polite. I recently lost my medical insurance & became self pay. After several months, I realized that I could no longer afford to pay for my oxygen. I called the company to arrange pickup of their equipment. I talked to Samantha in patient accounts. She was insistent that if I still needed oxygen, then I should have it! She asked my permission to go to her bosses & see what could be done & call me back. Within a half hour, she called back & said I would be keeping my oxygen for now. She set up a few things & wished me health & good luck. She didnt have to do all this. She could have cancelled account & arranged for pick up. I cannot say enough about this young woman & her bosses & company! What a Xmas gift for me, one that cant be reciprocated. Thank you so much Fitzsimmons!
Thank you for immediately delivering supplemental oxygen for our dad who was having difficulty breathing. The order was submitted Saturday afternoon and arrived within a few hours. Amazing service! Thank you.
Fitzsimmons has repeatedly let us down with failure to make the adjustments to care as ordered by my father’s provider. We are greatly disenchanted with Fitzsimmons. Do your research before you chose to use this service provider.
I initially started out with LinCare to reorder a new CPap machine. After waiting 3 months with no action I switched to Fitzsimmons. I received my new machine within a 1 1/2 weeks. I cant believe the difference in these 2 companies! I would recommend Fitzsimmons to anyone with a medical need.
Stay far away!! This company is horrible and has the most incompetent customer service I have ever experienced in any regard!! We have had nothing but problems with Fitzsimmons... have scheduled delivery of oxygen for my mom and no delivery was made... called back to be told they had no record of our order!! Scheduled another delivery and again no one showed up..went to pick the oxygen up myself and again experienced their extreme disregard for customer service!!! Additionally... the equipment that they supply is outdated and poor quality... portable tanks don’t last long at all. The office staff does not communicate with each other!!! If I could give zero stars.. that would be too much!! Avoid this company at all cost!!!
The fact that you can’t get a delivery time window is what deserves the one star. We wait all day for a delivery for portable oxygen tanks for my mother. My dad and myself both work night shift. So we have to stay up all day waiting for a delivery then several instances they have forgotten our delivery and say they will be out the next day. Always told they will be there within an hour and never are. I wish we could use a different company or this company would develop a window for delivery!
The machines are “disinfected” before they arrive. The disinfectant is supposedly “fragrance free”, but the odor coming from the exhaust smells like cigarette smoke and PERFUME. The entire room reeks. Just what I need after recovering from lung surgery. I’m assuming that a strong fragranced solution is used to mask other odors, like cigarettes. This is the third machine I’ve rented in a short time. The first concentrator malfunctioned and also smelled, but not as strongly, the second concentrator arrived so filthy ( the delivery person agreed and I have photos) that I told him to take it away and now the third has an unbearably strong PERFUME odor. Fitzsimmons best asset is Edgar. He does everything possible to help the customer.
I got my equipment and thats it. No explanation on how to use it. No proper fittings so I keep flip flopping between masks.
I rent an Oxygen concentrator and an E size Oxygen tank(portable) for when my 93 year old mother visits my house. I find Fitzsimmons staff very helpful, from the phone to the delivery staff. The delivery staff went out of their way to make sure I received the Oxygen concentrator for Thanksgiving. Ill be using them again in the future.
For the most part they are pretty good. The accuracy of the orders is not very good so they end up having to come back a lot of the time. For some reason they are always hours late with deliveries. They do call to tell you they are running late. We’ve had to call hours after the delivery driver called to find out what happened to him but evidently their commercial customers take priority and that usually is where they end up getting behind in the delivery. Make sure you call in plenty of time so that you don’t run out of tanks. But overall they are pretty good.
I have nothing but praise for this company, I was forced to switch insurance providers and unfortunately Fitzsimmons didnt work with my new provider.Fitzsimmons continued to let me use their equipment until I was able to procure my items from a different company.I am and will be forever indebted to this company for their kind and compassionate understanding during a difficult transition.
Huge help. Good staff. Very pleased with the help I received. A big plus is that they answer the phone when you call. No voice mail. This is the number one thing I liked about their establishment. Also, going out of their way to help you.
I posted a great review for this company over a year ago because I found someone who cared enough to take care of their equipment. Today I spoke with a supervisor regarding a BiPap machine, Marge. This was the WORST excuse for customer service I can remember. I am shocked she is holding a supervisor position. Was I angry, absolutely. To find out that I have had a machine for two years with no filter changes done because I never knew it had a filter. When a senior citizen has spent much time in the hospital, not expected to survive, and recovers to return home, a ten minute presentation on an additional piece of equipment is certainly not sufficient to make us some who can service it! It seems like they feel that this ten minute presentation is all they have to do, drop it off, 10 minutes later they are done! Once I realized it needed a filter, I called their office.I was put on hold for 30 minutes with the phone ringing and ringing.The receptionist came on the line to say that they must have left for lunch. Leave a number and they will call you back. They did and I asked for some filters to be sent. Five days later, patiently waiting, after a visit with the doctor and telling him what was going on, he was appalled at the level of servicing and requested that I let them know how poor service was. A package arrived today from this company which I hoped contained the filters. It did not. It contained the supplies for the oxygen. I called and expressed, very upset, that I had not received them. When I finally got the department for the BiPap, I was told they hadnt even sent out the filters yet at all. Their records showed I spoke to someone in April. No record of the call five days ago. The supervisor Marge was totally uncaring. Letting me know it was MY responsibility to call to get supplies that were needed, MY responsibility for knowing when things needed to be replaced, just totally absolving themselves of any servicing responsibilities. I asked that the machine be swapped out for a new one and she refused. This is just unacceptable. I will be notifying Medicare of the issues I am having with this company and their lack of concern to resolve the issues. Check for companies that not only have the equipment that care enough to partner with you on making sure it runs properly, is serviced properly and take responsibility to handle customers with sick patients with the respect they deserve.

The supervisor is very rude. She will not provide paperwork so a patient can get the equipment that they need even though Medicare specifically says that it is not required to have a release when it is one healthcare provider to another. I think this is their way of keeping patients. I would not do business with this company.
Absolutely the worst supply company you will ever deal with. Rude, argumentative, and careless. You call to order supplies, they tell you they have to call you back and they never do. They could care less whether you get what you need or how their products effects your health. Their CPAP department more specifically is atrocious and the variety in their supplies also is limited. Trust me, go find another company to buy supplies from, you will thank me when you do. The only word I can think of to describe Fitzsimmons is garbage.
My husband was receiving his mask for his cpap machine until recently when he was told that they could no longer provide his mask and he needed to try a different one. He was ordered a different mask that caused an allergic reaction to his face. I called to ask for them to please order him his original mask which he has had for many years. Well the mask they could not order they then did order it until he needed a replacement which blue cross stated he could have every three months. We were told again he could not have that mask.I spoke to the manager Lisa who was extremely rude and argumentative and of no help. I called a different medical supply store who were extremely helpful and able to provide the mask we need. I called fitzsimmons again to ask them to fax over my husbands prescription to the new supplier and was told by Marge that they would not do it because the new supplier would not accept it which is not true as it was the new supplier who requested it. So they continue to be rude and argumentative at the expense of the patient. I would stay clear from fitzsimmons medical supply as their customer service is extremely poor and extremely rude! It’s shameful that they do not advocate for the patient as they are in the health care field.Luckily there are many medical supply stores out there and they have now lost an account which apparently they are ok with. We will never use this company again.
