Very very disappointed in service dept. Paid $$$ refused to tell me what parts wernt communicating. Refused to tell me recall information that clearly existed and is documented. I called toyota directly they were more then happy to give me the recall information! Wasted money and still have to take car to someplace else π₯π₯
They have this amazing appointment scheduling so if you have to drive an hour and a half you know the car you want to test drive will be there and you dont show up and they tell you ... Oooops sold it 15 minutes ago... Oh wait, they still do that.Garbage customer service and setting appointments is a joke. Our original contact didnt even have the nerve to come speak to us.
A Toyota airbag recall inspired my visit today. It was my first visit at this location and I was impressed. I was immediately greeted and offered help. My scheduled appointment was acknowledged in the computer system; lost reservations (sloppy scheduling) are of particular annoyance for me with any business. The cause for my visit was verbally confirmed, and, very impressively, I was informed of yet another recall part I wasnt even aware of. I was offered to schedule a future appointment for that additional service as I was not scheduled for two repairs on a very busy day. I was given an estimate of time for service that turned out to be quite accurate.Then I was led to a very spacious, two room customer waiting area that made my fee hour wait seem considerably less unappealing. In the first customer section there were four very comfy, overstuffed leather club chairs around a large coffee table and large decorative area rug, two glass writing tables with upholstered rolling chairs on the side, recycling bins, no TV or windows, and lower ambient lighting that has a plushier, lounge vibe for the quiet waiting experience. The second adjoining waiting area is less decorative but highly useful. There are about 9 wide, padded leather chairs, a large flat screen TV that was tuned to ABC daytime television, a Bunn coffeemaker, three Starbucks thermoses, Lipton bagged teas, cream, sugar, cups, two baskets of snacks, one salty and one sweet (nuts, cookies, granola, energy bars, etc), and a large mini fridge of bottled water, Coca-Cola, and Diet Coke, several magazine racks with many current magazines, two windows, and tile floors for a more illuminated and active waiting experience.All amenities are complimentary to the customer. Both are connected to a hallway that leads to public restrooms which the Ladies Room was extremely clean, spacious and fresh-smelling.When my car was ready, I was approached and pleasantly surprised to find that both recall procedures gad been repaired. They went above and beyond so I didnt have to make a second appointment. I was warmly and respectfully updated, presented paperwork and thanked for my business. I would highly recommend this dealership for auto repairs as their treatment and care of customers is wonderful.
I had a nice experience with Shaun in sales. We traveled from a few hours away to pick up a new vehicle, and the paperwork was ready and the car was ready. It was an hour and a half for the whole transaction, and we were happily on our way.
If you have an basic recall or simple work that needs to be done, plan on being without a vehicle for awhile. add 2-3 days to whatever their time estimate is. Took my car in for a basic air bag replacement. They kept it for two days and didnβt even bother working on it. The shop manager ryan couldnβt care less if youre without your car. Toyota makes great cars but their dealerships and service centers are nothing to be desired. If you need work done, find a mechanic
I went to the dealership test drove a couple cars. There was one I was interested in and made the point that I was looking at other cars also and wanted to have their best price possible. The sales person gave me a price which was higher than the price that was listed on the Internet. I felt that was deceiving and called them out on it. The sales rep made one excuse after another about them adding some a safety feature and said the online pricing didnβt reflect it. Anywayβ¦ Definitely didnβt feel as though they were straightforward with me. I still donβt know whether or not the car sold because the last conversation I had with two different people they were both trying to find out if I was going to buy the car in by the end of the conversation the sales rep told me the car sold earlier in the day. Not sure what to even say at this point. Just a bad experience and not looking to consider them for future purchases. This whole thing wouldβve been resolved if they wouldβve just given me the price I saw online when I found the car in the first place. My girlfriend even inquired about the same car two days later and found out the car was still available according to the email. Very confusing business practices. Was this really necessary? Quit playing games with people that are ready to buy.

I had purchased a used car here in 2006 and had a very positive experience. When faced with an urgent need for a vehicle I thought of White, and within 24 hours was driving my new car. Complete staff turnover in 15 years, but again a very positive experience.
Left my car there Thursday for break pad replacement, they call me Friday morning to inform me that they donβt have break pad and maybe they will have them by early next week. I said no thank you.I am a out of towner and feel sorry for Toyota owners of Toledo to have this kind of service. Driving back. Good bye and good luck.Forgot to mention that they charge me $133.00 to look at the break pads. What a ripoff. π

I purchased my 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid in July and have been in love with that car ever since. I purchased from Pam L. and she was very professional and polite. Everything went amazingly. I just had my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Everything was performed as promised. I have no complaints and highly recommend Jim White.
I purchased a 2015 Ram here in early March. I also purchased a bumper to bumper warranty. The vehicle broke down on the way home. They flat bedded it back to the dealership and gave me a loaner. After a little over a month they returned it. A month later, it broke down again. (same issue, I have proof from a certified Ram dealer) Jim White Toyota refuses to back their repairs or warranty their work because they are a Toyota dealer and have invested all that they are investing in the truck. The warranty that Jim White Toyota sold me will NOT cover the failed part because its a preexisting condition that Jim White Toyota replaced already. According to the Ram dealer that I took it to, they didnt use MOPAR parts, and according to Bill from the warranty company, (Smart Auto) being a Toyota dealer is irrelevant. The part failed and they should have a warranty from the supplier equal to 12 months or 12k miles!Now, I am stuck with a $6k engine repair that I can not afford to fix on a $26k financed truck that I cant drive. That I have had for 3 months and only in my possession about a month. While Jim White Toyota holds their hands in the air like they are not responsible. Their actions prevent me from warranty coverage. They werent authorized to do ANYTHING that would prevent me from using my warranty and did it anyway.Vinny said to me personally, We will fix this no matter what I dont sell junk vehicles.Yet, here I am--- with a broke down truck and Vinny doing nothing about it.I even tried to trade it in to them for something else, knowing they caused the warranty to be unusable, they still have done nothing. They are simply happy to have it off of their plate.When you call, you get ghosted by everyone. Then they transfer you to the salesperson that sold you the vehicle, who also doesnt have enough clout to solve your issue.Cody has gone above and beyond, is personable, and a great human.You have been warned. Look at it like this, a business that makes millions, didnt care enough about a customer to fix business made mistakes. A cost that wouldnt add up to a drop in the bucket, offered no solution, and sold a bumper to bumper warranty for 3k that did nothing as well.
I had a great experience purchasing a certified used RAV4 at Jim White Toyota. Everyone I talked to was courteous and helpful. I never felt pressured at all throughout the entire process. We stopped by after receiving horrible customer service at another dealership and were immediately greeted by Mo. We told him what size of vehicle we wanted and the features that were important to us. He immediately found the perfect vehicle for us. The hardest decision we had to make was deciding on a color. The finance manager was very knowledgeable and explained our options very clearly. The general manager even took the time to talk to us while we were waiting for our vehicle to be prepped. We will definitely buy from Jim white again.

I got a new 2020 Toyota Corolla from them. They give great deals. The scheduler is rude over the phone, but the service agents in person are great. Every time i go in for service they never remove the paper and plastic covers in my car, and an older gentleman informed me they should... I have been driving a Toyota since 2017, and I have visited with 3 dealerships (Iβve also been to the one in Metairie and Cleveland). Toledo is, unfortunately, my least favorite. The other dealerships offered free car washes with each visit and could have me in and out in 45 minutes with perfect wifi and a full service coffee bar, vending machine, and fresh snacks. I still recommend this location to get a car from, but the customer service isnβt consistently the greatest.

Any time I come in for a service, I am greeted so warmly and with smiling faces, even if I do come early. [Which happens alot if Im coming right from work in the morning, because Im a night shift RN]. They get my car in quickly and get things done efficiently, and each time I am more than satisfied with the customer service. I had such a good experience with every aspect of the process at Jim White Toyota. I worked with Sean on the sales floor, and he was so incredibly helpful and truly dedicated to making sure I got the vehicle of my dreams. Even after our appointment was over and it was close to closing time, my husband and I were looking at additional vehicles and Sean came out to make sure we didnt have any questions. Very communicative and informative without ever being too pushy or sales-y which is exactly what Im looking for when buying a car. The Sales manager was extremely nice too and worked with us to find the best financing options to make my dream a reality! I needed a new muffler insulator for my 2007 Toyota Rav4. I called the parts department, spoke with Pat the Parts Manager, who was very friendly, and patient as I tried explaining the part that I was looking for, he found it, and ordered it for me. The very next day I received a call from Pat, told me that my part was there at the dealership, ready for pickup. I arrived at the dealership, and the employees I encountered there were very helpful, and friendly. I left the dealership, part in hand, with a very satisfied experience. If I ever need genuine Toyota parts for my vehicle, I definitely wouldnβt hesitate to deal again with Jim White Toyota.

Extremely limited schedule for dropping off a car for repairs, especially for the SECOND recall on the SAME car. In addition, a glib attitude toward the inconvenience. Not a way to keep a life-long Toyota customer.
I had gone for a routine oil change. But the service guy said I need a tire alignment (cost $90). I reasoned with them that why didnt they do it when i got my new tires. I had gotten four new tires two months go from this dealership, which costed me over $1000. While I waited in the waiting room, he comes and says I need new brake pads and rotors which will cost $520. I was furious and frustrated to see how they just want to squeeze money from the customer. When I left, I had to request a new sticker for the next service since they didnt put one. When I drove the car on the highway, my front hood was vibrating as I picked up speed. They didnt close the hood properly. Very poor service

This will be my 5th Toyota vehicle. I have always used Jim White as my dealer of choice for purchase and used their excellent service department for my cars. Mike Johnson in service does a great job.I have always owned a Camry but am now interested in the RAV4 hybrid. I have owned 2 Camry hybrids and they are great cars. I arranged a meeting with Mike Beutel to test drive a RAV4 hybrid. He gave me a tour of the vehicle before we went for a drive.I have always purchased my Camryβs in the past but I wanted to learn about leasing verses buying. Of course we have all heard stories about leasing in the past when it first came about so was wondering what was true or false about what I had heard and researched. Mike was very patient and took the time to document on paper side by side each offer and discuss it with me. Allowing time for questions. I decided to give it a try.Mike Beutel explained all the controls that I needed to know about before I left with my new RAV4. I look forward to driving my RAV4 especially this winter. I bought a 2015 Corolla I loved it. Until now, I never had a minute of trouble with it. I had a use Toyota before that. I heard only good things about toyota. I tell my workmates and friends, better by Toyota.. in February I bought a 2020 RAV4 LE.. I love the way it looks, but I am so unhappy... the battery drains. I get stuck at work, I have to bother my neighbors to get a jump. I check every night and everytime I get out to make sure nothing is on. Today I had to get a jump again. I am so disappointed. Everytime I take it in they say... you must be doing something wrong it started for us....I have a demanding job. I need a reliable car. I tried to take it in today, they said we cant get you in until 4pm. I had to be at work at 3PM. The next appointment is 9am I will take it... but now I am at work worrying what is going to happen tonight, when I go home. I ask for another car, they said we dont have one for you.. she said you can rent one. I asked, will Toyota pay for it? She said no. I feel so sad and depressed over this car. I will take it in tomorrow again at 9 am, I work at 12PM.
Jim White Toyota does a great job! The dealership is clean and their employees are all very nice. The waiting area is so welcoming and comfortable I am almost disappointed that my Highlander was serviced and I was on my way in less than an hour!

I was warmly greeted when arrived at the Service Dept. Technician explained what service was to be provided, about how long the service would take and directed me to the waiting room. The car was finished earlier than expected and the technician again provided excellent customer service when delivering the vehicle.
Very poor service. Always told me my tires were in green zone on 3 services. 1 month later 3 of my tires were completely smooth, treads were gone. Went in to ask why was I never informed. They told me we only do tire rotations. Asked them last check on paper from you guys tells me all my treads are still in green zone. Withdrew from Toyota care plus package. Never going in again to these guys. Didnt even give me my refund for 6 months, stating that it will come from Toyota headquarters, and kept delaying it. Called Toyota head quarters and spoke with their rep, 2 weeks later, got a check in my mail from Jim white itself. Looks like you have to call the headquarters for every issue.

John is knowledgeable about the Toyota products and easily answered our questions and concerns. He was very dedicated in meeting our needs/wants in a new vehicle. There is no Customer Service, no one listen to you, nor do they return phone calls. Thatβs included the managers, workers and including the general manager. I would not recommend this place at all and they do not Respect women. I have had a problem with my car for months now. And they will not fix it correctly. I have never been to a car dealership where the buck is just passed around. Donβt go there.

Purchased a used vehicle in March for our growing family. The salesperson was very pleasant and helpful to work with. However, I donβt believe they were completely honest about the repairs the vehicle needed. The dealership ranted about the excellent condition this used vehicle was in. The only repair that the dealership mentioned the vehicle needed was for new tires. I havenβt been driving the car much between having a baby in April and the COVID pandemic.Within the last month there were noticeable issues. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic that specializes in German vehicles such as VW. The car needed new inner CVD boot and both front springs were broken, costing us around $700, not including the new tires.
One of the best dealerships...The sales Consultant was very helpful from start to finish. Moe was his name, he first asked me what I was looking for and of course what my budget was, and he helped me choose the best car that suits my needs. He wasnβt pushy and really seemed like he wanted whatβs best in my interest, appreciate the help and would definitely recommend the whole dealership. They were all smiling and welcoming as soon as I walked into their doors.
The car buying process can be quite daunting, but after picking up our new vehicle we have nothing but positive things to say about the folks at Jim White Toyota. Mike Beutel was always kind and accommodating and never did we feel pressured to settle on a car. Had an exhaust system issue. Was quoted $3,500 to fix it at Jim White, with a several day wait for the parts. Had it fixed elsewhere in town (same day) in about an hour for $244. Neither of those numbers are typos. My service rep at Jim White was courteous and professional, but when the price is 14 times higher, its hard for me to give a good review.
I recently purchased a new 2019 Toyota Sienna from Jim White Toyota and all I can say is, they are one of of THE MOST professional, nicest AND honest groups that you could work with. I purchased my Sienna through Mike Beutel, and I think he is just a stand-up, honest employee. Great to work with, I will definitely be going back to do business with him again. It has been the most unpleasant experience of my life when i visited Jim White in Nov-Dec19..I must say to the readers that if you havent experienced an impolite, discourteous, impertinent behavior from the Sales Team/Sales Manager in your life and you would like to take that experience, please visit Jim White @Central Avenue in Toledo..During my car search, i did visited dealers in my area and everyone did respected my budget and how much i can pay for a specific model. But in Jim white, when i put the price i can pay for the vehicle, the Sales person went back to check with her manager on whether there is any chance of closing the deal at customers quoted price.. she cam back to me and said that My Manager wants me to kick you out of the office... Seriously!!!..Now for the person reviewing this feedback should go back and check with the Sales Team and ask them to learn from their neighboring Dealer from whom i bought a new car and the level of empathy, persistence and enthusiasm shown by them during my purchasing.
They require appointments, but then theres still no guarantee that anybody will look at your car in a reasonable amount of time, so its just a lot of pointless and inconvenient hassle for the customer. In my last visit, I had an appointment for 10:30am. They took my car and said theyd call me when it was ready. Not only did nobody call me, but when I called them at 5:30pm to ask if my car was done, I was told they had not even looked at it yet because they were behind with work from last week. They were hoping to get to it tomorrow morning. Nobody mentioned anything like this when I dropped it off, which is unacceptable as well. Worst dealership service experience by far.

This place doesnβt even try to hide the fact that they are trying to rip you off. All of these 5 star reviews have to be planted by employees or friends of employees. Notice how most of the reviews are either 5 stars or 1 star. Trust me... the 1 star reviews are legitimate.I bought a Tacoma there. When I test drove it it had nice new tires, but as soon as I started the paperwork to buy it they took the truck in the back and put bald (possibly illegal) tires on it. Then as I was getting into the truck to leave they made sure I was distracted with handshakes and pats on the back until I was in the truck.Your response is BS. I called about the tire scam (which you absolutely did and you know it!) and got the run around. My options was to take you to court or just eat the cost. Iβm way too busy to take someone to court for $800. So I decided to keep as many people away from your shady business as possible. Fortunately, Iβm a teacher to young adults so I can spread the word to many people who will never set foot in your establishment.

The White Toyota website is somehow inter-linked with the White Lexus website. I made my appt. on the Toyota website. When I got there, no appointment. Your customer service rep wouldnt listen and tried to say I messed it up. I have never done business with Lexus, yet my auto VIN, make, model came up on my appointment confirmation. When I returned home I pulled up my appointment on the White Toyota website and it had the same confirm number. Your service reps need customer relations training.

I went in Saturday and was fortunate enough to work with Danya. She was super friendly and incredibly helpful. While I had some concerns with the vehicle I was looking, she assured me that they would help take care of the issues, including replacing a windshield. I purchased the vehicle through her, and it was quick and painless. I figured the windshield repair would like at least a few days or even a few weeks to get to, but she called me today (Monday) and had my repair scheduled! She even got it set up to where the gentlemen came to my workplace to take care of it! I will suggest this dealership and Danya in particular to anyone looking for a vehicle, superb service!
