I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the store this past Thursday. Despite being extremely busy, and noticeable shorthanded, the staff was working with the efficiency of a well oiled machine. The food was delicious especially the corned beef sandwich and the potato salad which is obviously homemade. I think the shorter gentleman there was the manager because he was handling the tough situation with expertise and dedication. He seems real friendly with the customers and excels in customer service. I will definitely be back.

This was my first time coming to Barry Bagels and I have to say I really liked how much I was able to customize the bagel I was getting! The lady behind the counter helping us was very kind and helpful and the service all around was great. I’ll make sure to stop here next time I’m in town for breakfast or lunch!

Food is always good. But their productivity is not even existent. Everyone is running around bumping into each other frantically trying to do every job which takes twice as long. How about have one cashier and an assembly line of workers to make the food. That is food service 101 *editing after your response…. Considering it took me 35 minutes of waiting in line and there were only 7 costumers in front of me is outrageous

Been getting potato salad for years. Hadnt had any in a while. They changed it and its horrible. It used to be the closest I could get to homemade without making it. Now its like the cheap .99 cent potato salad at the grocery store. It is very disgusting it has a lot of rotted potatoes and very runny. I wont get it again..

A lot of times someone says this was the best... meaning it was good. When I say these are the best bagels Ive ever had, I literally mean that I have never had another bagel taste and feel as good as these. This was my first visit and Ill be coming back again. That means something since I live 2 hours away.

Barry Bagels has been a customer of ours (Habitec Security) for years! We order food from them multiple times a year for our employees. They do a superb job. The food is always so fresh and delicious. We order for multiple people each time and they always get the orders perfect. The delivery is prompt. And the customer service we receive is impeccable. We highly recommend Barry Bagels!

I am sorry that I miss leading you by giving Barry bagels a one star today. I stopped to get a cup of coffee, I did notice that the bagels look delicious behind the counter. Purchased my coffee and I asked the young lady which pot was fresh. She said probably none of them, they’re probably from this morning. Yes, I did find that all of them except for one we’re pretty much empty or cold. But that wasn’t the bad part, as I did find a mediocre cup of coffee at a lukewarm temperature. I just wish I hadn’t paid for it first of course. But the eating area and bathrooms just awful dirty. I know that they are a Toledo staple, been in business a long time. But come on guys, your facility looks pretty tired and dirty today You could try a little harder. I’m just glad I didn’t order anything to eat, I can’t imagine what the kitchen looks like.

I ordered a roast beef sandwich it came with roast beef and bread. No mayo, no lettuce, no tomato. Nothing, I was never asked what I wanted on it. I also had the cheddar broccoli soup. It was not soup, it was a clump

These poor people are so understaffed. There was a line of 15-18 patrons and only 2 employees preparing orders and answering the phones. The 2 that were there were busting thier rumps to get the orders done. My only complaint is the amount time it took to put the order together due to lack of staff.

A man just walked into the store, looked at a line of about 5 people, shook his head and walked out. All I can do is feel sorry for this man, because this is the type of food you wait for. Barrys is one of those Toledo establishments that I always have to visit when Im in town.Literally everything they have on the menu is good. Bagels? Obviously they are good. Get the everything if you are in a savory mood or try the vanilla swirl with some butter and cinnamon on it if you have a sweet tooth. Theyre tomato basil soup is excellent for dunking your sandwich into and the Mac and cheese is ooey and gooey just the way you like it. While youre at it you might as well take one of their gigantic warm cookies with you for dessert.On top of that you always see a familiar face behind the counter. Its like coming back to your favorite bar. Once youve been there a few times the staff will recognize you.If you dont know why I feel bad for that man who walked out, you should now.

Food is good but curbside pickup can take over 30 minutes.I fully expect a long wait between the time that I order online and the time that the food is ready. This review is describing the difference between when the food is scheduled to be ready compared with when the customer can expect to receive it.Many places offer curbside pickup in order to attract customers. If this store is incapable or unwilling to offer curbside service in a timely manner, they should stop using it to attract customers. Since I do not know the owner, I cannot be certain whether they are too cheap to hire adequate labor or if they are simply incompetent at management.The fact that the owner thinks this did not happen and believes that customers should be grateful for receiving the service that he/she advertised is likely part of the problem.

Easy in and out, fast thru the line, and I dont know how they do it but every single time I go there the bagels are still warm. I am always eating one on the way thru the parking lot. You guys are amazing!

The quality of the bagels is 5 stars. However, I don’t know what has happened to the service at this location. It took 25 minutes of waiting in line to get a bagel this morning. All the people behind the counter were filling online orders and slowly took care of one customer at a time. The one bagel I got also had an obnoxious amount of butter on it and the bagel was soggy. Not the greatest experience, hopefully this isn’t going to be a consistent thing at this location.

Usually love the matzo ball soup. Whoever made the broth for today dumped a ton of pepper in it. Ugh!! I had to rescue the matzo balls and put them in some decent broth!

Bagels and cream cheese was good. The sugar cookie was gooey in the center, not good at all.

Workers behind counter were not masked. Most customers were not masked either. The highly contagious Delta variant is straining ICUs to the breaking point. I’ve been a customer of Barry’s for decades, but if this is how they treat their staff, customers, and community, I will not return.

If you thought like me that this was a breakfast bagel joint like dunkin or similar places, well we are not close to being right. This place is quality. Meats chesses and breads/bagels, all top notch delicious. Go there, eat, you will be happy

We got the jalapeño cheddar bagel with egg and cheese (jalapeño cream cheese), it was everything I hoped it would be. My sis got poppy seed bagel with the same cream cheese. It was spicy yet creamy!

I’ve been a Barry’s fan since college and still enjoy their food very much. However, every time we visit the Sylvania location I leave questioning if we’ll be back. The staff is SO rude, particularly one of the older women behind the counter. I understand being busy, I’ve worked in the service industry, but it truly makes the experience unenjoyable.

If there is a place in Toledo that has better pastrami, let me know! Of course their bagels are awesome, but try the onionSticks!

I have been coming to Barrys Bagels since I can remember. It has always been one of my favorite places. Best bagels in the world and the onion sticks are to die for. Everyone is always very polite and helpful. On top of being a great bagel shop Barrys has also always contributed greatly to the local community.

DELICIOUS. The bagels are chewy and full of flavor, and I love that you can get bagel sandwiches and even pizza bagels. Their Mac n cheese is also delicious. Usually pretty friendly and a nice place with medium-fast service. If you like bagels, forget Tim Hortons. This is the place to be.

First impression walking in was the back area where food is made looked dirty and unorganized. Customer service wasn’t on point, lots of staff members but only one of them helping me through the whole order. He took my order, made it, made my coffee AND rung me out while 3 other people looked on with no tasks. The overall meal was sub par and did not hit the standards I’ve experienced at other Barry Bagels.

Stood at the checkout counter to pick up my phones in order for nearly 15 minutes and was never acknowledged by any staff. My food was sitting bagged up and ready to be paid for but none of the employees ever even looked at me. Eventually I just left without my order. However, the next day I received a very nice call and apology from the Barrys Bagel office. This conflict was handled so professionally and with such sincerity that it really put a good spin on the situation. I will be returning due to this awesome customer service.

As much as I love the food at Barry Bagels, the service is horrendous. Every time I come here there seems to be a problem. It took over 15 minutes to make a ham and cheese bagel with lettuce to come out with ham and cheese and mayo with no lettuce. Understandable if the workers were very busy but there were only two other customers in line with me. There needs to be a more efficient system for the workers rather than having one person doing the whole order.

I get a salad a couple times a week, pre made but then they will add my own touches, Turkey and pepper jack cheese. The folks there are always friendly and recognize me and know what I order. Great experience every time.

Sun grain toasted eggles is my new favorite bagel sandwich. Any choice deli meat bacon or sausage tops this one off..for the sweet tooth vanilla cinnamon is also a treat. Friendly staff amd quick service...must visit when in Toledo

Poor customer service... even during slow periods with no one in line: Many people behind the counter tho and some looking right at me.. but no one could acknowledge a customer and help with an already paid for online order (at the pick up sign) until I actually said ‘can someone help me’. I place the same uncomplicated order every few weeks and most times go across town to Westgate because it’s an issue every time I give the Sylvania location a chance. The bagels are good but honestly poor customer service is why I don’t plan on picking up from this location again.

We are in town from Georgia and had Barry Bagels 2 mornings and are going back tomorrow before we go home. First at Westgate. Then Sylvania today. I gave the Westgate location 5 stars. The bagels were amazing at both locations but the order was wrong on all the bagels we got at the Sylvania location today. They forgot to add the vegetables to all the farmer bagels. 🙄 We’re going again tomorrow, but will be going back to Westgate.

Truly the worst customer service I’ve received in a long time. Stood in a line with 2 other ppl who had already been helped and wasn’t even greeted or acknowledged even though I was looked directly at by 3 employees for at least 10minutes! What the??? Helloooo...is anyone there? Are you all zombies? The weirdest behavior exhibited by employees at an establishment thus far! Anyways, after them greeting the man that came in after to me and asking if he was helped, I had to assert myself and asked if my pick up order was ready just to be attended to. Just to point out other customers have experienced similar treatment. This type of behavior needs to be rectified immediately. I would say drive to another location but after reading their reviews it seems like customer service is an issue at all their stores! Employee retraining is needed ASAP!
