I like this place. It was nice country cooking to a tee. We were sat promptly, drink order taken, given time to look at the menu. Exactly what I wanted.Our food order was correct for the most part(forgot bananas on my ladies pancakes) but other than that, service was pleasurable. Joseph is a good server and I cant remember the nice woman who kept my coffee filled.I went their for breakfast but the daily special seemed to be very popular(beef tips with rice and cornbread. On that note, ask the daily specials sounded great and comforting.Not going to lie though, the mens restroom could use some work. Gnats kept flying into me.Im not in tomball much, but Id go back definitely
First time trying this place and we were HIGHLY impressed!!! Taste like old fashioned breakfast, almost like your grandparents use to make. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Restaurant was clean. HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone and we will be returning customers!

Every now and then you stumble upon a real gem. Ive lived in Tomball for 4 years, The Nook has been around for 37 years but somehow I missed it until today. It might be because its such a tiny place but that adds to its charm. Family owned and operated its the perfect stop for weekend breakfast, well really any meal. Great food, friendly people, all around wonderful experience. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try, I bet you will become an instant fan just like us!

We frequented this place when we lived in Tomball 20 years ago. It was so nice to walk in and see the same folks we remembered from back then. Food is still excellent, best service possible. We just love the Nook! Oh, add fresh blueberries to your pancakes! You wont be disappointed.

Overall lackluster. Service wasnt good. Server wiped the table and put all the crumbs in our laps. Food was tiny portions. Hash browns were soggy. Coffee is burnt. Chicken fried steak was about the size of my palm. Would not recommend.

Food was fantastic . I had a burger and it was amazing. The location is small but has a good old school vide to it. The staff is not very attentive on checking on refills or needs. But overall I will be returning because the food is really good.
Bacon!! The guy in there gave great service and had us cracking up the whole time. Food was great. Bacon was great. Cant wait to go again. Only complaint was the coffee was weak. But i have high coffee standards.lol

The burger came out very hot! Tasted terrific with the smooth Swiss cheese and beautiful mushrooms. The onion rings were lightly battered and fried so there was no greasy feel or taste, just a beautiful crunch one would expect.The staff are all family and fun loving people.Its a terrific find for me, in the City of Tomball.

Best Aguacate BURGER whit a side of DELICIOUS potato fries AMAZING place
I have eaten here a few times.The food has always been very good and the service is fairly quick.But the last time I ate there, they had some white beans as a side.They were Very good. I asked if there was some more. I was told that the beans were about gone.But if I liked them I could have the rest. The nice waitress brought me a big steaming bowl of those killer beans and another big slice of cornbread! Life does just not get any better then that folks.It has been 6 months, but I still remember how good they were.

Best breakfast place in Tomball
We got lucky and showed up when there was a table available. Coffee was good. Service was good and friendly. Good was good. Bacon was cooked perfectly. The only thing Id do differently is I like my hash browns a little more crispy. The place is very small so you could end up having to wait if you show up at the wrong time. Id probably actually give this place like 4.6 stars but, Ill round up for the overall good experience on our first visit. Well definitely go again.
Wow, my expectations were high and this place looks like our kind of breakfast place too. However, we were disappointed by the warm V8 juice, the obviously cooked hours ago bacon, the old eggs, and the flat omelette. We do not recommend.

Great down home cooking in a cute diner. The staff is funny and sassy, and they always take great care of you. Try the cinnamon rolls. You won’t be disappointed!

Small and sweet little grill. The waitress had all the tables to herself but you wouldnt know it, because the food was quick and hot and the coffee stayed refilled. You can tell there are a lot of regulars there, and there is a good reason. You can get a good breakfast and be in and out in minutes if you prefer, or you can take your time and read the paper and wont bother anyone.
This restaurant is one of my favorite spots for breakfast and has been for over 10 years. I’ve called up there a few times lately and no answers. I hope they make it through this mess and I wish the best for the family.

The last couple of visits have had food overcooked or just not given that level of TLC that this place has had in the past. If you were only comparing this spot to a chain like Dennys, then it would be an easy 4 or 5 star in comparison. However when compared to other premium breakfast spots - of which there are several in the area - The Nook starts to falter. This is a great spot for locals to have that personal attention that comes from being a regular where you know the staff and the staff knows you.

We make a point to eat here whenever we can. It is a drive for us, but it is worth it. The food is always good. It is simply a great neighborhood joint. We love it.
The nook is available for dine in and to go orders. We have UV air filters and plexiglass dividers between the tables. We take our safety and yours very serious and are diligent with our sanitization methods. Please come visit us Monday thru Saturday 6 am to 2 pm

I have only been here for breakfast. It takes me back to a time when my grandfather and I used to go get biscuits and gravy with sausage patties. Nostalgic for sure. The eating arrangement is bench seating and the service has been neither here nor there when I have gone. The breakfast menu is solid. I recommend it and enjoy the meals.
I went very early morning, middle of the week. It wasnt t crowded. Staff and customers were very friendly and helpful with suggestions as it was my first time there. I had an omelet and pancakes. All was tasty coffee was hot and service was good . WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR AT 6am!
Ive eaten breakfast here a couple of times. If service is good employees are friendly. The food is tasty. Seating is limited but if you get there early like I do theres usually not a problem.

This is a family run business. It is a FUN place to eat. They have delicious food, great portion size, and good prices. Lunch specials always great comfort food. The staff are all smart alecs in fun, and makes the atmosphere Great! If you go frequently you will be greeted by name and family inquired about. Be prepared to wait some visits, the place is small but some outdoor seating. But we have never waited more than 15 minutes or so. Clean and accommodating. I give it my highest rating.
Biggest and best cinnamon rolls ever! The other menu selections are of high quality, also. The place is small, and fills up quickly. This is not a place to linger, and there is a request to that effect on the menu. Friendly service, reasonable prices.
Really the best cinnamon rolls around anywhere. The food is great. BUT do not order an iced coffee, it is literally just hot coffee poured over ice with no care or thought. The staff are great, but they bite so watch out 😊😁 😋😂
First time here and last. Although the biscuits and gravy were fantastic, the rest was not good. Bell peppers in my egg scramble were not cooked or soft. The coffee is the reason I wont go back. Dennys coffee is even better. It tasted like coffee back in the day before coffee was improved. Tasted like stale water and filter. Up your roast! My final bill was $13!!!! Ive paid less than that for breakfast in the Galleria area and got more. Their breakfast is skimpy for the price. Gave 3 stars for the service and liked the clientele in there. Veterans, good ol boys and country folks. Thats Tomball.

I’ve been here many times, the service and food never let me down! If you come early enough you can get one of the giant cinnamon rolls, they are as big as the plate. Can get very busy early in the morning, but the wait is worth it.

I cant really say enough to explain the atmosphere of this place and the quality of the food. Only open for breakfast and lunch and you might want to consider going early, especially if for breakfast on the weekend. I go here as often as possible and take customers and so far everyone has loved it. Not fancy by any means, but good food, and the lady that owns the place is a trip.

Small town feel and good food.
My first time and I enjoyed it. Had the pumpkin pancakes without the extras they put on and they were quite good. Great, friendly service. They know the regulars by name. Will be back again Im sure.
It was nice, but not especially wonderful. A small, very basic diner, with a local feel.Both plates we ordered were breakfast, and the rest of the menu looked like fairly standard diner fair. Nothing stood out, except the bacon was over cooked and dry. Like a bacon chip. But besides that, nothing was wrong.I did like our server! I felt welcome.In summary, if you need some homestyle, basic, breakfast, this is an option.
Cozy atmosphere warm and welcoming and friendly staff breakfast perfectly prepared as requested tasted great and most reasonably priced I highly recommend this place however be careful of peak hours as the name suggests cook is not a huge restaurant.
