Very Happy with this company.... We had new doors installed a few years ago and recently had foundation issues...after the outside work was done all of the doors were sticking. It has nothing to do with the doors, but Hoelscher send a crew out and got us all fixed up...I even added a beautiful back door a few months later... Will always us them!

Non responsive. I think the basic problem is that Hoelscher used a third party installer. I bought the hardware and doors from Hoelscher even though now they don’t sell hardware they say. Two of the locksets have completely failed in less than five years. Also the installer put non-removable pin hinges on one of the doors and not the other two for no reason apparently. When the lockset failed on the door in a shut position with non-removable pins it was a nightmare getting the door off. Some hinges are rusted already where others aren’t. The sales rep just told me to go buy some new hardware and install them myself of call door doctor. They clearly have no interest in the actual installation. I was unaware of this.

If we could leave less than 1 star we would.We paid $3,200 for exterior Speakeasy Alder Wood doors. The doors leak terribly, and let all the elements (rain, bugs, wind and etc.) into the home. We called looking for advice and a resolution and received absolutely ZERO satisfaction. The Hoelscher representative Mark Foster, told us it was our responsibility to fix and there was a caulk that can be used for sealing; but again - it was our responsibility to procure the caulk and they would not send it to us as a courtesy nor would they replace the doors or offer any refund of sorts.Derrick Hoelscher, the owner of Hoelscher, refused to return our call to offer a resolution in this matter.I do not know about anyone else, but when one purchases exterior doors - THEY SHOULD NOT LEAK, no matter the price tag! If there is a manufacturing defect, the company should do all they can to resolve the issue and the complaint of the customer.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They have ZERO understanding of proper manufacturing or any semblance of customer service.

I cannot express how horrible this company is. I have done business with multiple companies and Hoelscher is the worst of the worst. Our rep (Hugo) was a very condescending to us. On top of this he overcharged us (probably pocketed the $) and did not inform us till after the fact, when WE brought it up. I desperately tried to talk to upper management but fell on deaf ears. Do yourself a favor and just look somewhere else. ANYWHERE else!

This company is the absolute worst. Been waiting 3 months for my doors. At this rate, im better off getting a piece of plywood and making myself a door! Truly horrible!

They showed up on time (actually a bit early), and did quality work for the price. I would use again.

We had a contract with them to have the weatherstrip for our front double door replaced and the first time the worker came he brought the wrong color base so he left and we had to reschedule. The second time he came he brought the size for a single door so he didnt have enough material and rescheduled again but we declined. They also said the arrival window would be between 8am-12pm but both times the worker arrived around 2pm. We decided we were no longer going to do business with them as we have been waiting for more than a month to have a 30 minute job complete. I do not recommend them to anyone who wants good service.

Had two new custom wood doors installed in our home. These guys did a wonderful job. My wife and I visited their showroom and spent a few hours picking out the right look for our needs. They did a wonderful job showing use the quality differences and when they came to install they showed up on time, did a terrific job and even cleaned up when the doors were done. Highly recommend...would certainly buy again

What a difference the new doors add to our home. We shopped a few different door companies and spent hours in showrooms talking with sales people. I wish we went to Hoelscher first. I worked with Mark and the installation team and the one thing that was so important was they showed up on time always. With the kids activities we are very busy, they made getting new doors pretty seamless....Thank You!

Great Company for restoring a proper seal to your exterior doors and Saftey.

Complete disaster of a company to work with. They took the correct measurements from our contractor and somehow managed to construct our custom front door incorrectly THREE TIMES. And were late on their deadline they gave us every time. They barely offered us a discount after all of these mistakes, so we ended up cancelling the contract and finding a new vendor. Terrible customer service in working with us (the customer) and our contractor.

How can you work at a door and weatherstripping company and not know how to measure weather stripping.

Bought our Texas Star back door from Hoelschers and would highly recommend. They had a huge show room to choose from and did not realize that they fabricated the doors right their at their location. I guess that is why we had custom choices and time from order to install was very quick. They were very polite and on time for install. Thanks for the incredible job. Will be using Hoelscher again.

Every time I buy a new home I have gone here for door replacements they always take real good care of me and if there is a problem they have been great about addressing and correcting it. The warehouse guys are the best!

Wow! As a repeat customer I called to have a new door ordered and installed, and they are not accepting new orders for a month. All fine, but will not come out and quote, even for a repeat client. I suppose they want me to take my business elsewhere, which I will do!

Very friendly people here. Mark Hoelscher, one of the Hoelscher brothers, is very kind and gentlemanly. Omar in receiving is great to work with as well as Bruce in the office. They are all very helpful and friendly.

I just had Hoelscher install a front door. They were well below the retail costs and on time. Got to love a family own and operated company in Houston.

They were suppose to come and do our weather stripping on all our doors but they never showed up. I called the place numerous times and they never would call back. I always had to call them to find anything out. It’s in their ballcourt now. If they don’t set up something next week and actually show up, I’m going to demand my deposit back and go somewhere else...

Worst customer service I’ve ever had! After visiting the showroom and picking out doors, they were supposed to send someone out to measure..they never did. I had to call 4 times before someone came out. After the measure I heard nothing. I called to see if the doors were ordered. John said that I could get a quote but they couldn’t order for at least a month. We never got the quote. My husband called and left a message with the manager and no response. Guess they don’t want our business.

The double 8 foot tall doors just did not hold up. At $700 a year to refinishthe results just continued to be a disappointment. Now the interior is fogging up and the brass has lost its luster.

These guys run a business with integrity! Been using them for years, and they always come through for me when I need them the most!

Hoelscher has done really good work for me in the past. Currently I am having a lot of trouble with them fixing a storm door they installed. The door has come off the frame and I have been calling Mark for several weeks now to get a repairman to fix the door. I call him and he is suppose to call me back to set up the appointment but he never does. The storm door is on my father in laws door. He is crippled and this door is to only way we can get him and his well chair outside. So now he is stuck inside all day. I am very disappointed with the current service from Mark.Bryant

I ordered 5 doors in June. Have yet to receive. I have demanded multiple times for a refund but keep getting the run around. This company should be reported to the BBB! A total SCAM!!!!
