I made an order with the Apparel Shack for Drew Drechsels limited edition bundle of signed products, which was expressed to have free shipping. Almost a month later I was contacted and told I needed to pay extra to receive my order. When I asked them to clarify that they indeed wanted me to pay—when the website never specified restrictions on the free shipping and my order had already gone through—they said that it was a beta issue that had caused my Canadian address to receive free shipping and I needed to pay or be refunded. When I spoke to Paypal about this, as it seemed unfair I was being made to fix the mistake of the website, Paypal opted to open a dispute on my behalf. The Apparel Shack then cancelled my order instead of doing right by the customer. This was an extremely disappointing experience all around, especially since I spent so long anticipating that I would be receiving these items. Any other business would have understood it was their responsibility to fulfill the order as originally promised, regardless of if it caused an out-of-pocket expense.
