I hate people, and driving, and downtown Toms River, and parking in downtown Toms River. I drag my carcass out to work each day and thats it. Existence is miserable right now for sure, but luckily Uncle Doods has survived the pandemic.Recently I went to drop off my ballot (go Biden!) at the dropbox in front of the library. I went mega early on my day off so I wouldnt have to contend with too many slobs in my way or too much traffic. On my way back to my hearse I remembered that donuts are nearby, so I walked over there for the first time in a couple years.I bought a Twixed and tore into it immediately when I got home. It was still warm. The orchestral music swelled while I saw the sun and the stars and the sky (I was inside). My mouth filled with chocolaty goodness as I began to recall what living felt like. If I had a soul, it would have been infused with bliss while I ate.In all seriousness, the donuts are quickly and expertly made when you order them. If you have a sweet tooth, you owe it to yourself to brave the creeping numbness that downtown Toms River brings everyone and try the creative and unique donuts in Uncle Doods. It may just stave off that existential crisis that were all having for a day or two.(Pictured is Grave Dirt and Twixed)Edit: still good 10 months later. Go git it!

This is my absolute favorite place in New Jersey and the greatest donuts Ive tried anywhere. Not to mention that the people here are great too! I try to visit at least once a month to try all the new flavors. And my friends and I drive about an hour both ways just to come here. Totally worth it! This is an absolute gem that I hope NEVER goes away! I highly recommend everyone try the Vermont Swine, even if it sounds strange. I questioned it at first but its my favorite hands down. Trust me!!! 🍩

This is my second time going to this place since I moved up north I traveled 45 minutes for these Donuts because no other Donuts satisfy my Cravings like Uncle Doods. The guys working behind the counter are very nice and funny and always in good spirits so early in the morning I usually come when they first open or an hour after and Im usually in and out. Great lil shop, awesome friendly service and best of all Oh My what a fantastic donut! Nice crunch to the outside, soft in the middle, not doughy, cooked to perfection. I got the nine for $10 (how do you beat that price) Flavors included: PBJ, French Toast, Beach Sand, Cherry Cola, Lemon Pie, Ube, Samoa, Strawberry Shortcake, and Grave Dirt. My favorite was the Lemon Pie w/Strawberry SC and PBJ runners up. Truthfully all the flavors were very good because the base donut is exceptional. Doods Donuts does it right!! Theres nowhere Id rather go to get my Donuts!!!!! id also like to say anyone who has left a bad review on here About their customer serviceIs is obviously a Karen and very rude!!!!!!!!!! Ive been to a few specialty donut shops. The donuts here are excellent. The toppings are excellent. The speed though. The speed in which I recieved my order was super fast. I couldnt believe it.These donuts were all for my self. So I didnt eat the box of 9 in one day. They still tasted great the next day and the day after with no special wrapping g or anything. I left them on my kitchen table!!!

O man been going for years and they have only accepted cash. Now they accept plastic too. No more missing out because I forgot to stop by the bank. Also what ever flavors they have on their menu they will let you customize your own donut if you want. My most favorite was when I did Cashew butter Bacon and salt.

A staple of the area and you can get all types of wild flavors here. My family comes all the way from Jackson to get their donuts. They are right up there with ob_cos and are delicious and well made. If you want fresh and something different go here I recommend the cereal donuts they have in a variety of flavors And they are all slamming .

Its like walking into that small corner of your brain that you havent discovered yet, where the simplicity of a donut meets your imagination. With fun donuts to choose from on a menu, to being able to create your own with any of the ingredients on the menu for that month (there is a portion of donut flavors that changes every month), the dudes at Doods really know how to take a freshly made donut and turn it into a work of art. If donuts didnt put on calories Id be there at least 4 times per week, but without a doubt I go every month just to see what the guys at Uncle Doods have concocted with their out of this world ideas and flavor combos.

Theyre made right in front of you and the flavors are so unique you cant get them elsewhere in the area. We came down to Toms River from north Jersey for my sons hockey game. We were looking for something to take home and we found Uncle Doods. I can say without a doubt they have the best donuts weve ever had. After driving a little more then an hour they were still warm. Great place. Please come to Bergen County.

Uncle Doods is a made to order donut place that is cash only and has a wide variety of donut toppings and icing choices, as well as monthly special flavors. You can pick from their menu or make your own. They also have fresh coffee and some bottled water and juice options. Cash Only! The donuts are good and the workers always friendly, but they close at 1 so cant go in the afternoon.

I had to go to Toms River for a business matter, when I was leaving the parking lot I saw this place. It had the look of a high quality small business. I went in and met the owner, hes a good personable guy. His business makes a nice variety of donuts and apparently the choices change every month.I got a few donuts and they were honestly phenomenal. The donuts are so fresh that the newly fried dough tastes like plain funnel cake, delicious. Whatever toppings you get are hand dipped right there before your eyes and the owner will mix and match certain toppings.I had a mixture of toppings that the owner termed a French Toast Donut, it was arguably the best donut Ive ever tasted.Overall this place is phenomenal. Its around 1000% better than any major chain donuts shop, give it a try, you wont be disappointed.
