The guys in the archery shop are top notch! They do excellent work and are extremely knowledgeable! Great selection of products. They brought my old Bowtech back to life and I’ll continue doing business with them for many years to come!

Products hard to find seem to be scattered throughout the store on end caps everywhere but in the aisle that they claim to be. The entire time I was there no one bothered to ask me if I needed any help or cry from somewhere like Ace

This store location is in a very good location in North Topeka, just off of Hiway 24 and NW Lyman Rd. Plenty of parking and very clean and friendly place to shop for just about anything. North Topeka is growing at a good pace. In times like now with Covid-19, its good to know there are businesses building and opening in this area. These businesses bring in good revenue and jobs to people needing work. Check it out, North Topeka welcomes places that are cemented in staying the distance for all shoppers.

My first time coming here was about a week ago because I brought in a bow for their bow tech to put together for me. And unfortunately there was some things wrong with the bow when the manufacturer sent it to me so I had to return the bow. So out the kindness of his own heart, he threw me an amazing deal on a really good bow because he knew I was new to archery and that it was something I wanted to really get into. Awesome service, I will be buying all my archery things from this place and will definitely be recommending all my buddies to these guys.

I love sutherlands!. Wish they had more employees on the floor the store layout can be confusing. If you take the time to go to the service desk they almost always have what I want

CPVC items were extremely limited, had to go to Westlake for most of what I needed, no 3/4 pine lumber under 10 feet. I live up north and like the fact I dont have to go to Wanamaker for building supplies but I might have to if things dont change

Best bow shop within the NE Kansas region. These guys have great knowledge of what theyre doing and are great to work with.

I almost always have a great experience here. Like others have mentioned, they dont always have the best prices, but theyre close and their staff has always been good to me. I had one return and they handled it for me and didnt give me any grief.

Way better service and products than the two big stores on the west side, I was surprised when another store told me to go there to save money from going to the others on Wanamaker! My new favorite. And they are always ready to help. Not over crowded like west stores are. Worth the drive!

There were signs posted all over the entrance doors that face masks are required. Inside there were at least fifteen people without face coverings. Either take down the signs or enforce the mandate. You are putting everybody at risk

Drove 38 miles from Lawrence because of all the ads on TV about the 4.99 flowering plants...most pathetic plants I’ve ever seen. Looked nothing like the plants in the commercial . Manager who didn’t care about my concerns or the fact that the TV commercial showed something different. He told me to go to KC instead. I will NEVER shop at a Sutherland’s again. Too much competition out there to have to ever come back here again.

Their prices arent usually as good as the other big box stores but some things are less there. Its a great place for gardening supplies. The help is usually knowledgeable & helpful

Home Improvement heaven

They dont seem to have the supply of things that some of the other box stores have. I went in the other day to look for a mirror to hang over my new bathroom sink. The limited supply of vanity accessories was disappointing. The staff on the floor did not seem to know where things were. But I did get good service from the customer service desk and she was able to look up on the computer what aisle things were on that I was looking for. I was really hoping that with the store being in North Topeka I could avoid having to deal with the Wanamaker stores. Unfortunately I found myself back at Home Depot after not finding what I needed.

Found it comical the kid working felt he needed to assist me with everything when I have been on job sites longer than hes been alive but he was providing excellent customer service which would have greatly benefitted someone without the knowledge I have.

Prices are much higher than competitors. Service isnt that great. Disappointed in prices and service.

Store lay out is confusing I wanted to buy an air Brad driver never did find Brads or an employee

People need to use this store. It is a valuable addition to North Topeka, is a Midwest owned business and has everything any of the Wanamaker home improvement stores have and more. They even have a full line of archery supplies and an indoor archery range.

Great stiff juicy wood. This place has some of the best quality hard wood you can find. If you need some nice long hard straight wood this place will have your rear.

You can get a lot of stuff for a good price. Thank goodness for places like this one. I will be going to this place again and again.

The employees were very friendly and tried to be helpful however they did not carry either of the things I went in there for......a tap and drill set or some of the brightly colored wood stain that the website said they carry.

I have been shopping there on the weekends for the last 5 years. Theyre not any cheaper, I just prefer smaller businesses. But no longer.The staff is outrageously rude! All besides the register lady that has been there for years. And GOD FORBID you try to return an item. They will treat you horribly.. Horribly!!! Ive returned two items in those years and both times I got bitched at and asked why I opened the box(yes, seriously.) The dumbest reason anyone could possibly give when returning an item. I shouldnt have to apologize because the lock, your employee suggested, didnt fit my door. WE shouldnt have to answer why we opened a package and tried to install it! And for no reason should we be looked down to for these reasons! So many employees are like this there that I honestly think thats part of their training.Drive a block away to Aces or Roach Hardware if you expect any customer service. Drive across town to Lowes if youd prefer customer service as well as cheaper prices..

Sutherland has a very large selection of items in this store. It is more than a lumber yard. The staff is always extremely helpful.

Definitely worth paying a little bit more for hardware, because there are actually retired Craftsmen working there who can actually help you find the right parts. You dont have to contend with the masses of Wanamaker traffic and like I said, there are people working there who know what theyre talking about.
