I been having my ADT security system for 2 years now which I love because I feel safer due to living alone. I recently had a doorbell and camera installed due to my wanting the extra layer of protection. Everytime a technician come they are on time, very professional, do no make a mess in his home while installing the equipment. The last technician that came out Aries Encabo arrived at perfect timing, he was very professional, he installed my equipment and even made sure my ADT Alarm System was working properly as well. He checked all my sensors to make sure I didnt have any issues with them too. He kept all his tool and equipment he was installing neat and organized in one place. He put on shoe protectors which I liked to make sure he tracks no dirt inside which was great to see. He even showed me a way to take the chime off my sensors on my alarm system if I like which I was not made aware of. He even provided me a ADT Alarm System sign which I have up right now. The best investment I made was having the security system up, I feel much more safe now. Thank you ADT Security Services.

ADT only staffs crooks. They make it impossible to cancel, there is never any paper trail and they only have unprofessional people working for them who do not know how to do their job. I have tried to cancel my account over 3 times but I continue to get a bill along with a cancelation fee. I refuse to sit on the phone again for another hour and I am begging begging begging you to cancel my account. I need to go more public with this type of treatment and shady company.
Oh my goodness Justin was amazing, he is the best technician that ever came out to my home for service. He went above and beyond. Truly a problem solver unlike other tech who made excuses. Justin fixed ALL my ADT pending concerns.Thank you loads Justin.
Overall good experience. Our sales associate, El, was clear and professional from the very start. From providing the estimate, scheduling the install and returning to check in while the technician worked at my home. Great follow through! I am 80 years old and was initially worried, but El was calm, reassuring and made the process very simple. Eric was our tech and did a great job as well. I know I’ll be safe and secure and that was worth the 7 hours it took to complete installation. Thanks for a great experience!
My wife and I had the delightful experience of working with Casey Silva today. Casey was the tech assigned to solve the problem with the alarm on our back door. We want you to know that he was friendly, professional, personal, resourceful, and efficient. And we could not be happier with the service he provided.We had already gone through a number of contacts with ADT and help from a telephone technician, who tried her very best to solve our problem. I took down our back door sensor, replaced the battery as she directed, reset our system --- and then was just taken down when it still didn’t work.I called ADT to schedule an on-site visit from one of your technicians (by the way, the woman who scheduled to appointment was named Wanda and she was utterly delightful).Casey showed up this morning, right on time, dealt with the terrible parking conditions in our neighbourhood, came into our house all properly masked up, and ready to go. He immediately ran into problems, because neither his company cell phone nor his personal cell phone could get a signal in our area. We’re on a steep hill-side very near the beach.It took him only a moment to figure a way around that obstacle. He got through to your office, got our system put on test mode, and then went to work finding the problem. He had it solved in about ten minutes.Once done, he explained everything to my wife and me, answered any questions we had, double-checked that our system would now work as it should, cleaned up everything he had opened, and was on his way.We are wonderfully satisfied with his help, his professionalism, his friendly demeanor, and his efficiency. Casey is a marvelous representative for ADT, and we simply could not resist sending this commendation to you. My wife and I know from our own working years how often people complain and how rarely they commend. The service was excellent. EL Piard, Ed & Michael were great. Good customer service, answers any and all questions rapidly. They took their time installing my security system but was fast at the same time. They cleaned up after themselves and was very friendly and explained everything clearly. I would recommend everyone to them.
We are extremely unsatisfied with our service and continually are trying to cancel but the company makes it extremely difficult. Our ADT alarm went off this week after midnight the alarm was ringing for over 5 minutes and ADT never called us to see if the alarm was real or fake. The same thing happened last month and it took them three minutes to call us after an alarm was going off in the middle of the night while we were nervous someone had entered our residence. ADT guarantees they will call you within 60-90 seconds but this has been a false claim. We will tell everyone we know not to go with ADT. We do not recommend ADT.
The installation experience was a 10+. The scheduling, coordination and interaction with ADT was a 2 (and that is generous..). Given conflicting information. Appointment time arbitrarily changed without contacting me. Incorrect Rider Documentation. Multiple appointment windows (all sent within 30 minutes of each other). Ridiculous hold times to reach someone. Having to repeat virtually everything when transferred from one person to the next. The installation people are first-rate. The rest are ill-trained, uninformed and dont give the impression they know what theyre doing.
This was my 2nd install and very satisfied with the technician.
STAY AWAY. Since day 1 weve been overcharged every month with No resolution. This company is a scam / a complete joke. The system never worked correctly. The customer service is a joke. Nobody helps you and just keeps sending you in circles. Its sad that this is the world we live in today.
Poor customer service. Poor sales processes. Was onitially told one price for a system upgrade only to have another conversation with a different person and received a much lower price quote. Work not done in a timely manner. Sloppy technician.
This review is about the patrol service and customer service - not alarm installation or monitoring - both of which I have elsewhere.Trying to cancel patrol service. At one point they handled our neighborhood, but hours and service have diminished. They dont alert you when a garage is left open anymore, etc. The one and only 1 time I called for patrol assistance in the last 15 years I sat on hold forever. . .Thought I would log into my account - wrong - cant do it there - and there is no help section for cancellation.Thought I would try chat, but chat said to cancel I need to call. So I called in and listened to longer than normal hold time recordings that kept suggesting I try chat.Finally reached an agent, who said cancellation for patrol must be done by fax or email - but the fax machine is broken. . . ..I asked to have the required information forwarded to me via email to avoid confusion on the spelling, etc. It didnt happen. . . . They sent the information again - as a fuzzy jpeg, so you cant click on the email, or even copy and paste the cancellation address. The jpeg also mentions the fax machine being broken...so obviously its been a long time. . .No response a few hours later, so I log in again to stop auto pay so I wont be billed for next months service . . . but SURPRISE you need to call in to turn off autopay.Called in again and asked to have autopay credit card removed from system. Hmm. . . system not responding and put on hold. . . Anyone surprised? Finally the agent (who was pleasant) says its worked, but she cant send me a verification of that, but in 24 hours I can log back in and it should be gone. . .This agent also say I should have been able to cancel service by telephone if I had the correct department. I ask her to read the account notes, and see that I requested a supervisor, and was told none were available. And then ask her to cancel for me, and she says that since I have started the cancellation process via email, its best not to initiate it again.I look forward to being notified that service is terminated.I noticed that adt monitors reviews and suggests contacting them at alwaysthere@ which I did. Their response was prompt, but with completely different directions, saying I needed to actually write a signed letter . They didnt say where to send the letter, if it could be attached to an email, faxed etc. The email response signature line had an address in New York. . . . It came off at just another delay tactic.I am so happy I have my alarm and monitoring with a small local company that answers immediately by email, phone or text - I cant image depending on this level of customer service for something as important as safety.
Needed a security system set up. ADT set out to do the minimal amount of work to meet my requirements and charged extortionist prices. Sales person used fear mongering continuously to justify outrageous pricing.

I was hesitant using ADT with all the DIY systems out there and I felt ADT was behind on new technology. As part of my due diligence I reached out to ADT and the sales person, Gilbert walked me through everything and I was pretty impressed with how far ADT has come. After reaching out to DIY alarm companies to ask questions on how it works and how much equipment I needed, I was not able to get in touch with anyone. Comparing the cost of everything ADT was actually quite reasonable for what I got. I would have paid more for the equipment on DIY products and I would have to install it myself. The ADT installer was great, he spent ALL day to put everything together and make sure it was working fine before leaving. The monthly subscription is a bit high but when everything was said and done, I feel it is well worth the total cost of ownership compared to the DIY products where you have to attach those ugly wireless monitors on every single window/door.

I used ADT for my home & am very disappointed with the services. Not only did sensors not work even after technicians came to check them out, I was never notified by the company that I needed a permit with the police to have an alarm. The one time the alarm did go off (over nothing, the sensors were acting up again) I was charged over $300 fine to the police. When I called ADT, they told me I’d likely get a refund as this happens frequently. It took them FIVE months to get to my case, they rudely declined my refund & blamed me even though according to the LAW it is the alarm company’s obligation to notify me of the permit. I have canceled my services with them (which cost $500 for breaking my contract early) however have yet to received a terminated contract from them. Now I’m not sure if they’re going to keep charging me. They will take as much as money as they can from you without the worst services. Avoid ADT!
Terrible. My alarm just went off for 30 minutes because my panel froze when i put in my code. ADT Called then immediately hung up on me and it took me 6 attempts to call their help line to get it turned off. Amazing what if it was a burgler dont even bother.
Although our experience with ADT customer Sevices/Sales was absolutely frustrating today. Our technician Camilo was excellent, he was very patient, knowledgeable and professional.
Technician arrived hours after scheduled service window. Phone agents were surly and inefficient. I was cut off after a lengthy hold and delay. Tech damaged the finish on a door where a sensor was replaced. I need a new security provider!

I had a very positive experience when the ADT tech Tim ID # 284719 came to my house in 9/11/18.He was courteous, patient, and thourough..He was very helpful to me.
ADT was by far the easiest security system supplier to deal with. Ferris and the guys were very professional. My wife and I just had our first child, so we wanted to make sure our home was secure as we do not live in the best part of town.. LOL. Im very thankful I called these guys. I had a very pleasant and professional experience, and Ferris was great at making sure my wife (whos not so tech savvy - love you honey!) and I knew how it all operated.
They will say there are no charges for certain items on phone, but when technician comes will charge. Alarm itself works well. The costs and false charges are buyer beware.
Chris B was the reason I will stay with ADT. I had some very negative experiences with techs they were sending from an outside company and was starting to doubt my choice for security but Chris got me back on board. One of the nicest guys, on time, knows his stuff, and a pleasure to work with Five stars!
ADT is a complete joke, to be honest I wish I had the time to sue them. I have a full time job and no time to deal with these idiots. Absolutely worst customer service, I was actually harassed by them as they brought me to tears with their awful equipment and nasty representatives. If they only knew how miserable they made me and my family!
Please dont trust the adv from ADT dealers and ADT has not control over the dealers price.. Ive been promised with one price and charged double.

Horrible, horrible horrible!! Rep didnt show up for appt., never called. I called and he refused to apologize for missing the appt.! Then I call to speak to a mgr. at the Torrance location and the number listed went to Jacksonville, Florida. No one is aware of a Torrance office. UGH.
