They were super busy at the west boise location but they were still able to finish my buy in a reasonable amount of time. I received a fair price for the item I was selling. Keep up the good work!

When I say this is my favorite store ever, I mean it!! It’s so nice to be able to sell clothes and buy replacements in one stop! The staff is friendly, and the store is always clean!

I always find the cutest stuff here. Good prices, good place, and great quality products. People are always in here; it’s popular, and there’s everything to love about it. I always stop here when I’m in the Boise area. It’s become my go-to shop. Clothes shopping trips are incomplete without it.

I went in to get a affordable dress for my best friends birthday dinner. Let’s just say it went great! Found such a great urban outfitters dress for $16, cute earrings, and a necklace. I did have to wait in line in for awhile, which I don’t mind waiting. But I was trying to be quick and I have 3 things…they should get their second cashier going.Overall, great place! I have other good times as well:)

I brought in two boxes of carefully selected brand name clothes and shoes...and they only accepted 1/10 of it?! For a brand new pair of $60 boots, 3 t-shirts and 2 pairs of pants, they gave me $20. I was shocked to learn that they DID NOT accept:SHOE BRANDS*Guess*AddidasCLOTHING BRANDS*Silver Jeans*Roxy*Apt. 9*Old Navy (accepts per website)*H&M (accepts per website)Needless to say, I will probably not be going back. This felt like such a disappointment and a waste of time.

Uptown Cheapskate has a very large selection and is roughly 80% female clothes and 20% male clothes. This is an exchange not a thrift store so prices are a little more expensive but product quality is often much higher than a thrift store. You can trade in your old but good condition clothes here for cash or for in store credit with a small percentage higher. The only thing bad is basketball shoes and some running shoes seem too pricey.

I always have a super amazing experience at uptown! All of the staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive. I have both bought and sold clothing there and it has been an overall wonderful experience! Well done, guys!

I would love to give this business five stars, but the customer service is so bad. Im an understanding person and I know that people have bad days. But Ive been here many times and more often than not, the employees are just really blatantly rude. They dont acknowledge you or greet you when you come in and they dont stop talking to each other to give any attention to waiting customers. It feels like Im interrupting a personal conversation every time I walk up to the counter and Im inconveniencing them just trying to purchase items or sell items. Such a bummer

I am always impressed with the friendliness of the staff at Uptown Cheapskates. They are always so helpful. It’s a great place to take my clothes I no longer use and then shop for new ones!

First off, horrible customer service. Two gals especially had ugly attitudes & were rude to me when checking in. I brought a duffle with booties & heels and one trash bag of designer denim( joes, true religion, Paige, Levi’s, sevens ) pants and shorts. I received a text while in the store browsing “ they were unable to buy my items” … I just got home and looked through my bag and I have items missing from the bag that were in there before handing them over to be looked through …So I’ll let you guess what happened there. Thieves in my book.On top of my in-store experience, when I returned to the counter to pick up my bags the rude associate had the expectation in her mind that I’d want to donate😂I’d probably have considered if they did their job a lot better & had any amount of customer service skills.I don’t suggest this place at all !

If it had what I was looking for then I wouldve put 5, the workers were nice and helpful I just couldnt find the exact thing that I needed

Great low prices for very well kept excellent condition clothing items AND extra discount prices on TOP of the already low prices! Friendly helpful staff. Clean. Lay out is a little confusing and maybe could be more organized in a less confusing way. Instead of zigzagging types of shirts (sleeveless, t-shirts, dress shirts, long sleeves) all separately going xs to xxl then when out of room begin to hang them up along the entire edging of the wall. Using about 70% of the walls makings it a puzzle to locate items. Also maybe placing the shoes all together since there is no more than maybe 150 pairs total. Each item of clothing is well tagged and the tag is on the same spot on every item. Not placing the displays so chaotic and random, so it looks more professional. Not like somebody didn’t want to put them back where they go so they stacked them on the end of row. GREAT STORE! Just need to organize the layout so it causes a more natural flow for customers adding to the already great customer service and they’ll see more items-buy them-and leave with the feeling of a successful shopping experience and a big smile on. Happy customer = Big smile = loyal customers = Telling family and friends to go there = new customers = more sales! Great set up with great customer service is key to success and sky rocketing profits! Customers save more money and you make more money! WIN WIN!

If you love a good resale store you are going to love this place! Very clean, and well laid out. They have a great variety of clothing, trendy and staple pieces. Very fair pricing and they have great sales. If you want to sell your clothes they give you more money if you take in-store credit. They even give loyalty discounts and discounts on your birthday month. I have been going for years, love how big the store is now after the expansion.

Love this place! Great place to shop and recycle your wardrobe for in-store credit or cash. It would be nice to have a few more chairs scattered around the store.

We have shopped and consigned with uptown many times in the past and have previously had good experiences, but on a recent trip we werent so lucky. My daughter brought in some very gently used Levi Wedgies that she bought only 1 year ago for $98 and the buyer at uptown offered her $4 per pair! SELLERS BEWARE!

Ive brought clothes here before. It used to be a great place to sell your used clothing to. Several recent experiences has changed my opinion. I recently brought in a bag with over 60 pieces of clothing in it. There were several people ahead of me and was told it would be about 45-60 minutes before theyd be done. I walked to my truck and as soon as I opened the door I received a text saying they couldnt take any of my clothes. I walked back in and asked if they even looked at them. I was told they had to much lint build up. They didnt even go through them. 4 pairs of Old Navy jeans still had tags on them. I took the entire bag down to Runway Fashion Exchange. They bought the majority of my items.

Dropped off a large bag and box of clothes many of which still had tags. They emailed saying they gave me $15 for my clothes. I let them know I would come pick up the things they didnt buy and they claimed the donation had already been picked up yet my box of items was still there. There were hundreds of dollars off items in that bag that still had tags on them including buckle jeans and they supposedly donated them but not my other clothes in the box. Total scam!! Do not drop off items to be sold. Stand there and watch them go through them. Untrustworthy and a horrible way to do business. Will not return.

Uptown Cheapskate has always been one of my favorite stores. The clothes they have are super high quality, the employees are incredibly helpful and nice, and they always have a wide variety of styles and options. I have never had a bad experience here. They always make me feel welcome and I always leave happy with something I was looking for.

I used to love this spot but it’s rigged by workers who could care less about how much money ur making or how much time they take. They take there sweet time talking and getting confused with other items, I’ve been waiting for an hour and it feels like there’s no rush to get my items priced, I don’t even mind if they don’t take the items but at least let me know not make me wait an hour to tell me u won’t take them

I have loved this consignment store for years now and I am always recommending it to friends. They have a fairly eclectic selection and I always leave the store with something. I really enjoy how the store is set up and how they separated their higher end brands from the rest. Most of my closet has come from this store and I am so happy I found it!

I love shopping for clothes here. I buy all my jackets, tops and dresses here. Im size 2X or 22-24. I can find all kinds of Torrid, Aerie, Old Navy and name brand cute clothes that are my size. There are absolutely no pants here my size but the tops are great. I wish they would buy more Torrid items and larger pant sizes. Everytime Im there I buy every single Torrid item I find there. The prices are GREAT! They should really just make an entire store for plus size people to buy from because I feel like the section is way picked through compared to the size small or medium sections. I really love that they opened a store in East Boise too. Its right by my work so I can stop by on my lunch break. Masks are required. Dressing rooms are open at the Fairview location but last time I checked at the Broadway location they were closed.

Uptown is always one of my Daughters favorite places to go and I Love it as well. Everyone that works there is always so awesome as well🤗

I went into uptown last Wednesday around 1 o’clock In the afternoon to try and sell off some of my old clothes that I didn’t need/wear anymore. I walked in and was greeted by a lovely young lady named Serena. She helped me pick out the right clothes that I love so much. She helped me understand the process of selling and also the benefits to shopping at resale stores. It’s fascinating how recycling can benefit in the fashion community. I would recommend this place again, and I greatly appreciate the friendly staff.

I will never take my stuff to them again those girls are very rude. When I asked her why they didnt take anything her response was these clothes are hard for us to sell because they arent the right style. I will take my business somewhere else. When the business up the road took all the clothes I brought in.

I used to like shopping here, the atmosphere and service used to be great. I dropped my clothes off today and when I picked them up the cashier had an attitude with me when I didn’t understand something about the drop off policy. I ended up selling 24 items for a measly 68$ and I had name brands like free people and kancan shorts, anthropology, toms shoes, etc. Definitely not going back and I will sell with Plato’s from now on! I have never had a problem with them and I’m sure I’ll get more money.

Be careful when you go in and sell clothes. If the ladies sorting through the clothes don’t like you they will pass all your clothes. Came in today with a box FULL of clothing items from Buckle, Free People and Pacsun that I just bough last month for weddings and photoshoots. Took them 3 minutes to go through it all and they passed on all of them, their reason being “out of style”.

Uptown has always been one of my favorite places to shop. They are always kind to my toddler, and are patient with me as we check out. I love how clean the store is, and how easy it is to find what I want. Plus, the variety of clothing they have there is INSANE!

I recently took 2 bins of clothing to the store for resale for the first time and it was very disappointing that after 1 1/2 hrs., (because I didnt hear my name called, the music was blaring in my ear while I was waiting)they employee who review the clothing did not want ANY of the clothes I brought in. Come to find out my 16 and 23 year old daughters styles were not what they were looking for and ALL the clothes were out dated. When looking at my clothes in the bins, they were all folded nicely, the same way I brought them in which tells me they didnt even go through my clothes. They wanted skinny jeans, she said, so clearly they hadnt looked because there were lots in good condition. Also, maybe they should be using a intercom to call names, so the next customer doesnt wait so long. Needless to say I was very disappointed.

Love selling here I can about always expecting to get a $20 bill. I do wish they could pay a lil more at least for shoes or something, but I do understand bc shopping here is fun and mostly reasonably priced. Over all would love to see some apprication for the people that sell here
