Just recently bought a brand new Ford F-150 at Torrington Ford. Through the whole process I worked very closely with Russ one of the Salesmen and also Bobby the Sales Manager. Between the two of them they were both able to find me the truck I wanted with the features I wanted right within my price range. These guys were great to work with and from the beginning very welcoming and willing to work with me. They did not dismiss me due to my budget (as has happened at other dealerships) and gave me all the time I needed. I was even contacted by Russ on his day off which he did not need to do. I cant say enough good things about how well I was treated, the job they did and I would recommend Torrington Ford and Russ to anyone looking to purchase a Ford.Thank you!!
The service department is an absolute joke. Tom is rude and Torrington ford created a critical safety issue on my truck while working on it. My seat belt anchors were left unbolted and tucked behind my seats and the visible section of the chassis of my rear seat is all scratched up from a careless technician dragging it on the shop floor. I put my kids in the rear seat of my truck and the error that was made by torrington ford is not good. Tom basically wanted a pat on the back for fixing it after i pointed it out to them. The poor work doesn’t stop there, I also found my heater hoses left out of a retainer and rubbing on my transmission dipstick tube. This error was made during a misdiagnosis of my fuel injectors that were replaced for an extended crank issue. My truck did the extended crank the same night I brought it home from torrington ford. The only thing good that came out of all of this is I will never return to torrington ford for sales or service.
Walked in.last night, came today and got my car 24 hours later!! Thanks to Russ and Bobby and the whole team at TORRINGTON FORD, you come and see them, and they will treat you like family!!

When I arrived on my date and time Tom was there and helped with all the information I needed. When it was done he called, let me know everything I asked about and that my truck was ready. Another fantastic experience with the service department, from the moment you arrive they know you and your vehicle. The work is done in a timely fashion and is perfect. I had a small issue with the automatic wipers, I described the issue and the tech resolved it and then demonstrated the repair and was able to show the issue and the repair. Cannot say enough about the service team they are awesome!!!
I recently purchased a new truck from Torrington ford, and decided to take one of my other vehicles in for a major service in the past few months.Ive had bad experiences at other car dealerships in my lifetime, but this was one of the best. Theyre not pushy, they dont try to rip you off, and the staff is very personable and friendly. Ive heard horror stories about the previous owners of this dealership-but it seems to have taken a 180 since the new owners have taken over, and Ill definitely be back. Excellent service experience in both the sales and service departments.

We recently purchased a Ford F150 at Torrington Ford; this was the best truck / car buying experience we have ever encountered.We went to the dealership with the intention of purchasing a pre-owned 2019 F-150 which was in excellent condition at a great price. However, after Bobby Rathbun the Sales Manager took our 2008 F250 diesel for a drive and inspection, he returned with a fair price for our truck. Since we ended up getting more for our trade-in than we thought we would get, we decided to look at a 2021 F-150.The Salesman, Rich Perry, was very knowledgeable and accommodating throughout the process, showing us both the pre-owned and the 2021 trucks. He explained the difference between each vehicle we were looking at to ensure we were getting exactly what we had wanted. In addition, Rich took the time to search their inventory regarding the specific engine type and options most important to us.The easiest part was the financing. The Finance Manager, Jesus Roche, explained our options, including extending the warranty without pressure to upsell. The Owner, Jim Utecht, and son Dave Utecht check-in throughout the process to make sure we were happy with the options presented to us.We are looking forward to purchasing our next car at Torrington Ford.

I have a company truck, a 2005 F250 SD, which we use on a regular basis. It required a 150,000 mile check-up and brake repair. I found Matt at Torrington Ford to be especially helpful. He pointed out that the fuel line was in need of repair too. The service was affordable. We are glad to get a lot of miles out of our truck. A Walk-In Medical Center-Newington is an Urgent Care Center open since 2007. We hope to keep this F-250 SD going strong til 2027. With Matts help, it probably will. Thanks.

The service department is probably the best around right now. They are always available for questions and keep me informed of the status of any service. They stay on track for stated service times also. They do what theyre supposed to do and look like rock stars as a result.

Took our 2015 Escape to Torrington Ford today for the first time, wanted to give them a shot since we own 3 Fords and they are under new ownership. Well nothing has changed. Overcharged and replaced items that didn’t need replacing. Won5 be goin* back here.

Just leased a 2020 Ford Ranger from this dealership. The experience was one of my best with a new car purchase. Friendly staff Pat was great. They met me after hours to sign paper work. I can’t say enough about the experience 10 stars.
This was my first service done at Torrington Ford with my 2019 truck. They did an awesome job of getting me in and took care of my scheduled services very timely. Based on my experience today I would definitely recommend.
Never go to their service department. I took my Focus there with symptoms of a bad clutch and a recall memo from Ford. I asked them to please check for the recall and if they would repair it. Not only did they charge for the diagnostic recall check, but they then lied to me. They said it was my entire clutch system, but the recall wasn’t mechanically related, only software related. I looked the manager in the eye, a Mr. Bristol, and read directly from the Corporate issued recall memo saying it included the physical disc/plate. He refused to accept it and charged me for the diagnostic. Puzzled by this blatant rejection of responsibility I left and asked a local small business repair shop his thoughts on the situation. He immediately knew it was Torrington Ford with the unethical business conduct without even telling him the name of the dealership. He suggested I try to bring the car to another Ford dealership to check. My Focus barely made it to Plainville Ford where they said the recall check would be complimentary and had in fact found it to be a recall issue. They had my car fixed for free in a shorter amount of time it took Torrington to give me their obstructed diagnosis of my vehicle. I could’ve been robbed $2,000 if I had let Torrington Ford and Mr.Bristol carry on without asserting myself. As a former retail/customer service/sales rep in the automobile industry myself, it’s disturbing to see the trained professionals do their customers wrong with their extensive advantageous knowledge. My guess is he picks my pocket for 2,000 and then bills Corporate Ford for the recall, getting twice the revenue and commission for one fix. They dragged their feet after I had to insist and speak with the dealership GM for a refund of my diagnostic fee. Not sure how their sales team is, but if it’s any indicator of their service department I would avoid this dealership at all costs.
I worked with Brian the Service Manager. Originally I called Lombard Ford in Winsted and let them know the electronics in my car had gone black and wouldn’t work and asked if someone could take a look at my car. They asked “well, did you purchase the vehicle with us” I said no I did not, the gentleman I spoke with said they could help maybe next week and they couldn’t help me today. I drove 20 min out of the way to go to Torrington Ford because Brian answered and asked how far away I was and said they can get me in. I arrived and he already knew who I was when I had walked in (never been there before) and immediately serviced my vehicle, got my electronics working and got me back on the road in 25 min. Torrington Ford’s customer service is impressive. I cannot recommend them enough. Awesome service department. I will be back!

Shady and dishonest service department. Will lie to your face. When you leave a negative review with Ford, the service manager will then call to ask you to change your review, but offer nothing in return. Maybe try to offer a resolution to the original issue next time! Go to Lombard, Litchfield or Sarat.
Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. My trucks maintenance and tire rotation were done in a timely manner without issue. Would definitely recommend this business. As a bonus, the bathroom and coffee station was clean and well stocked. Beautiful arrangement of Christmas cookies available for all patrons.
The new ownership is awesome, had the pleasure of working with Pat, Rich, and Jim, made the experience beyond awesome and got me a good deal on a lease, will definitely do future business with these guys.
