We liked how he followed up soon after meeting us and answered all our questions without any pressure to purchase. Once we decided to move forward he kept us updated on the delivery. You can tell he enjoys helping people and ensures they get the right vehicle for them. He made us feel comfortable and welcome, even though our 2yr old was running around looking for something to do. Overall, Torrington Toyota was the best car buying experience I have ever had, which says a lot because in the current auto market most dealers treat you like they have you over a barrel. From the get go our salesman, Larry Valenta, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He helped us locate a hard to find model and went above and beyond to make the process easy for us, he even called our insurance agent ahead of time to make sure they would be available when we went to pick up our new car.As soon as we arrived Larry was waiting for us and didnt just rush us in to do paperwork. I live 200 miles away so I was worried about buying a car remotely and how I would be treated. Need not worry. Their sales consultant Randy Klonowski was super responsive. He gave me a quote, sent me the docs, and answered all the questions I have by email or phone. I made the 3.5 hrs drive and he was waiting to greet me at the door when I arrived. Lazy shoddy half baked work. They worked on my car and returned it dirty and wet. When I showed the service jerk he said the detail guys were gone and there was nothing he could do today. How about if you go get a wet vac and you clean out the water the mechanic dumped into my carpet. Shame on you.

I have been taking my Tacoma to Torrington Toyota for the past 4 years for service and they do a great job. There are several Toyota dealerships that are closer to me, but I prefer Torrington Toyota because of their quality of service and also the helpfulness of their employees.

The first thing you will notice while entering the establishment is the building is not a monument to their debt that you in turn will financially contribute to. With out a silly fake Taj Mahal want a be show room attribute, a fair financial can be bartered without the obscene DOC fees. Old school playbook with retaining customers. I was pleasantly surprised when submitting my inquiry, and Gerald responded almost immediately, even though it was after hours. The purchase process was painless, and despite Covid-19 throwing the deal off a bit, the agreed upon price, including my trade-in value, was honored 3 months later. I am rating only the sales department, as the service did not meet my expectations and I ended up getting my car serviced elsewhere.

I find no fault with the routine maintenance of my Tacoma.However, their COVID-19 precautions and measures were inconsistent and inadequate. My service advisor wore his mask for the entire time I waited for the servicing (as I was able to watch him and others through the window). Other employees had masks, but they hung around their necks. Mechanics that I saw did not even do that (estimate 4 or 5 different people). Sales personnel were similarly were inconsistent with mask wearing. I only saw four employees wearing masks all of the time that I was waiting, about 45 minutes. Clearly, COVID-19 precautions are not a priority of the dealerships management.What makes this notable is I took my Honda to Sullivans Honda service, just down the road two days before this appointment. Sullivans clearly made an effort to abide by all COVID-19 protective guidance. The difference was stark and boldly accentuated Torrington Toyotas differing behavior.This raises doubts in my mind as to the overall quality and consistency of other things Id expect from a professional service business. If they are lax on something that is for the general good, can I also be certain they are serving my best interests when they are working on my vehicle?

Everyone was honest and upfront the whole time. Super smooth used car buying process. We had stopped at a few dealers before Torrington Toyota who tried to add hidden fees at the last minute, or tried to hide problems with their used cars. But here got a great price on a 4Runner and they detailed every square inch, inside and out. We will be back for service. Definitely recommend!

Easily the best experience I have ever had with a car dealer!!I drive over 30k miles a year as a salesman, married with 3 kids- Ive purchased a lot of used vehicles over the years. I come prepared, know what I want, but hate the BS that comes along with purchasing a used vehicle. There was NONE of that here. My salesman Larry Valenta was excellent- knew all about the used vehicle I wanted to see. and had it waiting for me at 9:30 am with vehicle history already done. After the inspection and test drive, Larry went to work with Dave (owner) who was covering credit for the day along with everything else. Easily they could have asked me to come back the next day, I wasnt even buying a Toyota. Larry and Dave took the time to understand my needs- gave me a great deal, found me a great rate, and then added a 60k bumper to bumper warrantee to ensure I would be worry free driving my new to me Subaru.They had the car detailed while we were doing the paperwork- I drove it home @ 12:30.Cant thank you enough guys!Dave

I recently purchased a 2019 Tacoma from Torrington Toyota and was very pleased with my buying experience. The sales atmosphere is low pressure with a focus on customer service. I drove off with what I wanted not what someone else wanted me to have. This is not the first truck Ive purchased from this dealership with Randy K. as my sales representative. As in the past he went out of his way to be certain I was getting the exact truck I wanted. Since I am rather particular the vehicle I wanted was not in stock so Randy located it at another area dealership and brought it into stock at Torrington just for me. Best of all, he didnt make a big deal out of doing this for me! Go try that at other area Toyota dealers and see how you make out. My truck was delivered to me sparkling clean at a time that was convenient to me. At delivery Randy explained all the features of my new truck including the myriad of technical gadgetry. We had a great experience at Torrington Toyota. We drove there from NYC because they had the best selection of new Siennas at the best price. Tee was super helpful and gave us a great deal (lower than weve seen anywhere else) without any need to haggle. We really appreciate a straightforward transaction.
