This store is a joke. They never have oil paints. Out of stock on fine art supplies all of the time. The local hardware store has more oil paints than this store does. Big waste of time. They should just close this store. It’s horrible.

I browse for inspiration and I get fired up to make something. Joanns has the tools to let me express my creativity. Whats more, I can try any number of arts and crafts simply and inexpensively. Great prices,too.

This local Joanne doesnt have a lot of my selections compared to the one in milford ct. But employers are happy help. Explain and even help your stuff to the car. They to have a hug clearance selection which is well kept. But around these days. I dont go in. I rather do curbside pick up. And theyre happy to bring everything to the car

Visited the Joann Fabrics in Torrington, CT. What a breath of fresh air! The peopleWe’re so nice and kind - mind you I flew in about 45 minutes before closing and no one came at me pressed or telling me to hurry up because they were just about to close. The lightness and freshness is very palpable in this store - I will drive a half hour out of my way to this store than to go to the one closer to me in Danbury just because the staff are so much more, well, nice. Accommodating, kind, helpful, etc…things I have never experienced at mylocal store. So thank you Torrington Joann’s for treating people like humans and not just dollars.

Joanns is a fabulous craft store. Especially when you have a 40% off coupon which you can get right on your phone online. I recently bought a set of 148 gel pens for 14.00$ because they were on sale and I have a coupon. I also buy jewelry there and most of the time they have a brand on sale.

Not really a lot to say, I went in, got fabric, paid and left. Staff was helpful in explaining to me how the process of picking fabric and having it cut works. I would use this location again.

Your typical Joanns Fabrics. Located in a large plaza in the center of Torrington near Coe Park. Its handicap accessible and has plenty of parking. If I remember correctly, they were once in business here in Torrington years ago and didnt survive, but it looks as if theyve been doing better since the new store opened. The selection of items is good for the do-it-yourselfers and crafters out there. The prices are competitive and the store is clean. The few times that Ive been there, the staff has been friendly and helpful. Just be aware that the plaza tends to have riff raff, so keep your eyes open.

Joanns is a HUGE crafts and fabrics store nestled in the back corner of the plaza. It is the place to go if you like to sew or engage in any other crafty projects. Dont know how to knit, sew create? Joanns has numerous classes to get you started.

Joanns is great for DIYers. The staff member I encountered during my last experience at Joanns was so helpful, and I feel awful bc I dont remember her name. She literally listened to me explain how I wanted to refinish my dining room chairs and then assisted me in getting the materials I would need, answering all my questions, and giving advice. As a result my chairs are fabulous!

Great store For a seamstress, crafty crafters ;-) or just creative people looking to learn sewing or crafting. They have everything from sewing supplies to artwork from Scissors, needles, tape or cut to fit sticky backed Velcro products sew on zippers & so many different types of fabrics and tapestries that I could never hope to list them all, oh and dont forget nearly all the fabric is cut to size on premises.All these great products - all placed about a VERY CLEAN and VERY WELL organized store.I give them a 99.99999999999 rating :-)Hey after all nobodies perfect right?

Its definitely a great arts and crafts store: very convenient location, and pretty decent stock. My biggest complaints are the staff - a lot of the ones Ive dealt with are very rude and dont seem to have the knowledge you would expect an employee of an arts and crafts store to have, and the service is extremely slow - it takes forever to get a cashier and get checked out. However it is a very clean store.

Love coming here they always have what I need for a good price. The right place to find all I need craft wise and they have a unique selection.

JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts is one of the few longstanding businesses in Torrington. The store is clean, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I examined about ten items throughout the store on my last trip. Each of them was significantly higher in price than the other craft store in town. For instance, a Fiskars fabric cutting set was $79.99 at JoAnn, but only $59.99 at the other store in town. Additionally, that other store routinely puts out 10-25% off coupons. For my money, Id only shop at JoAnn in a pinch.

Kind of annoyed with my visit. We stopped in here to look for a mothers day present for my mother. My girlfriend picked up an item from the shelf, and we paused to talk for a minute before checking out. One of the male employees hovered behind us for quite some time (my back was to him, so I didnt even notice he was there), staring at us silently until my girlfriend, now nervous, made eye contact with him. He immediately, with no greeting, yelled at her not to take the items out of the package (we were simply standing there holding the item), and stormed off without another word.???So we put the item back and immediately left. Cool way to lose customers - couldnt even gather the courage to get our attention so he could yell at us for something like that. Regardless of that, it always feels like theres never enough employees, and Ive wiped fingerfulls of dust from several products in the wall. Will not be returning to this one.
