Eric is a nice guy but unfortunately did a very poor job on a very expensive lighting fixture that only needed a small welding job. I made sure over the phone and in person he could do the work and he assured he could. Brought him the fixture, showed him where it needed to be welded. I paid him $60 in advance (not a lot of money) for a simple fix. Came to his shop the next day and he had the fixture ready and to my surprise it was completely ruined beyond any repair. I looked at it with amazement expecting him to apologize and hand me back my money at the very least. He said nothing except he pointed out where he said he had what he called an arcing incident, which basically ruined the fixture on both sides. I told him that the entire light was ruined. Forget about that he melted the wires as I could always replace those but he ruined the fixture in 4 different areas. I asked him How do you expect me to want to hang this? Its all burnt and banged up with sloppy patch work to try and cover up his arcing incident. The fixture was a $600 fixture and if I knew this was the quality of his work I would have never went there. All the reviews looked great but far from the experience I had. I then asked him if he was going to refund the money or at least half. He reaches into his wallet and hands me $30 out of the $60 I gave him. Just insulted to say the least. So I walk away paying $30, wasting a bunch of time driving back and forth loosing a very expensive $600 fixture. He has no clue how to treat a customer in this situation.The first picture shows what the fixture looked like before I brought it in, it had a tiny crack in the seem where it needed a small weld. It was just this one SMALL area but for whatever reason Both sides of the bracket were completely destroyed which was no where near the original repair area, how in the world did he destroy the mounting plate? Not to mention the area he actually welded.

Brought Eric a large white lampshade that my wife bought (and loved), but it needed a different style bridal. It can NOT be easy to have a guy walk into your fabricating shop with a pristine white lampshade and ask you to weld it...and keep it clean- Eric did. A couple years ago I sucked up the tow cable pulley for my waterskis, and the prop whipped it into the lower drive unit of my Suzuki outboard, taking a 4”x 4” chunk out of my low end housing. Faced with a huge expense and lots of potential manhours, I trailered the boat to Eric’s shop and hoped for the best.He welded in and ground down a filler piece- no easy task for cast aluminum alloy, and in my estimation saved me thousands of dollars (I even had him fabricate a step onto the side of my trailer I was so impressed!).Erics skills and attention to detail has now saved me a hugely expensive and labor intensive boat motor repair, and made a nice, cost effective improvement to our dining room aesthetic- 2 awesome jobs, thank you for your skilled craftsmanship.I highly recommend him for welding and fabrication.Mike F.Canton Ct.

I used Northside Welding to fix an exterior metal stair railing that was cracked in a few spots. Eric was great to work with. He showed up when he said he would. The job was done well and at a fair price. It was very easy to do business with Eric. I would recommend him to anyone in need of metal railing repair work.

Customer service, communication, and quality are hard to find in one place these days, but Northside has it all! I contacted over a half dozen fabrication shops and Eric was the only one who replied, and quickly. Though the project was somewhat challenging (custom motorcycle fuel tank) Eric took it on without hesitation. I drove over two hours to get there and damn glad I did! Eric is very easy to do business with; hes honest and reliable and his skills match (if not exceed) the exceptional customer service. I would not hesitate to do business with Eric again. If Northside cant do it, you will be hard pressed to find a shop that will.

We had Eric fabricate some beautiful hand rails at our property. Later on after that I also had him do some custom sheet metal work on my Harley as well as powder coating. Great guy and a one stop shop.

Eric did any incredible job with my bike. I couldnt be more pleased with the way the bike turned out. Custom welding, exhaust wrapping, light installation he does it all. Communication was great and the work was high quality and done quickly. Cant ask for more. I will be returning for any work I need in the future.

This man does excellent work. I gave him exhaust header that did not fit right when I recieved it in the mail. They tig welded the header for a perfect fit before I had it ceramic coated.

I met Eric a few years ago after inquiring about an online listing he had posted for a Sportster with an extended swingarm. I wasn’t interested in the bike, but I curious about the swingarm. After corresponding through email he told me he fabricated it at his shop, Northside. Without ever meeting Eric face-to-face I took a chance and sent him my swingarm through the mail to have it modified. The process couldn’t have gone smoother and his work is second to none, he was extremely professional and the turn around was quick. I’m glad I took the chance, since then Eric completely modified my Sportster frame and hand fabricated an oil tank, battery box, electrical box, exhaust and various brackets.Eric’s work speaks for itself! I drive 3 hours (one way from Massachusetts) to use Northside. I highly recommend Northside and will use them again!
