The people who work in this store are extremely rude, Ill drive a 1/2 hour out of the way to go to a better store with quality people...

The woman in blind dept did not listen to what we requested and tried to sell us more expensive blinds what she liked,what we could not afford. We had to leave. Very upsetting, intimidating experience.

Thank you Mr. David from the Paint department!!! I don’t usually review stores however tonight we left soo happy especially my 4 year old daughter, all thanks to Mr. David!!! I must say that our experience tonight was much different than two years ago when the person who was working at the paint department decided to tell us that he was the manager when we asked for one to complain about his ignorant behavior and I am not exaggerating. The actual manager came and resolved the issue we had and apologized in the name of the one who called himself a manager. But going back to Mr. David, he walked my daughter step by step and allowed her to assist in mixing the several paints we picked for her room. She was having a great time and so did we!! Thank you Home Depot for hiring amazing people!!! And Mr. David thank you one last time and best wishes!!!

No registers open, seven young people roaming around not doing anything. After going to 2 other Home Depot’s and not being able to find the ac I was looking for, even though they said they had it in the store, I called this Home Depot and spoke to Hashish. He was very helpful and personally went to go look for the ac that I wanted. When I got to the Home Depot he was there and helped me find it. He was so helpful and nice. This Home Depot is the nicest one I’ve been too and they have a helpful and friendly attitude there. Thank you again Hashish!

Obnoxious experience. Assistant Manager Maggie and customer service reps at Totowa Home Depot have a “well it is what it is approach”, no sense of customer service, unwilling to find resolution or work a touch harder. They are truly just clocking it in. My husband and I ordered a custom door on March 9, 2021. It was delivered on April 16, 2021. They claim that they called 2 weeks later and it just so happened that my husband had flown out of the country for a family emergency on the dates they called. They claim that they tried leaving voice messages but that my husbands voice Mail was full which is not true. And without even at least trying to text my husband, hello it is 2021, or trying to reach out some other way, they just sent the door back and canceled the order completely. When I called and spoke to the customer service rep and Maggie it was like pulling teeth to get the various details of the transaction. They have an attitude and are truly not about helping customers. When I asked, why wouldn’t you guys just email or text or try to figure something out like just holding the order until you could reach my husband, Maggie said, “well we don’t hold orders for more than a week”. Just obnoxious. I asked her, can you reorder and expedite the order as a “make nice” and the attitude was, “well you’ll need to come in and order through the dept” - I said “why do I need to come in if you have all of the details of the order in front of you?” She responded “I’ll have someone call you back”, and hung up. Seriously no customer service skills at this store.

Would leave 0 if possible. Completely unhelpful, tried to get help with a grill and the associate told me he would be back. Left me for 20 minutes and never came back, saw him working with other people. Just use Amazon, less of a headache!

Only This store filled with stupid people. Including manager. I brought husky 290 mechanic tool box 2 days earlier. Found one 1/2 ratchet not working. I go to store to replace only the rachet. They deny to replace it. I have to bring back whole 290 piece box to exchange everything. But husky policy says. If you have problem with anything just bring it back, they will replace it. So go back to lodi home depot. Without any questions the replace it. For stupid manager of totowa home depot i have drive 20 mile back and forth. I hope home depot authority look upon that matter. And helps to build a better customer service. I am sorry no go to home depot totowa.

Needed a couple of paint buckets and staff was very helpful and offered me great advice as well.

This was the best home depot I have ever been in. There was an employee, Carlos, who was the nicest and most helpful person that I have ever encountered. He was able to find what I was looking for, put it on a cart, wheeled it to the front, got on line with me, and then wheeled it outside and helped me load it. All while having a smile and having a good conversation.

I had to return a couple of things with my toddler. 2 min. Waiting in line and the Customer Sevice was excellent. They were very considerate of my lack of hands while holding a babies ✋. 👩‍👧👌

This location is busy but no different then any other locations. Getting good help depends on what department youre looking into or the time your shopping at. The best way and more likely way to shop in any home depot is to use their app so you can navigate the store for what you need.

Use to be my favorite home depot to go to. Staff was always top notch and helpful. Now you dont even get a hello in the store or can I help you. No one seems to know where anything is when you ask or they arent able to answer questions about products. Step up your game Totowa

I absolutely love this particular Home Depot, I own a house and you know how it is. There’s always something that needs to be done. I used to go to the to route 17 in Paramus, but I prefer taking a drive to route 46 and be better taken care of then try to find things myself.👍👍👍👍👍

This home Depot is similar to other home depots. I havent run across a bad home Depot yet. Most of these stores that I have been in including this one have very helpful people on hand.

Went to see wood flooring but the had more fake flooring than anything. Beautiful but not wood. And the wood floors they did have were meh.

Home Depot in Totowa is a great place to shop. Friendly staff and helpful.

Sitting here waiting in line forever while the forklift operator crashes into everything and his fellow employee is running the panel saw without the dust extractor on filling the place with dust. Corporate should probably have a chat with this store manager this place is a free-for-all of safety issues and incompetence

Just stopped by to purchase 1 thing for a job.. when you walk into the isle, if there is someone there working they never offer their services, neither greet you. You have to walk up to them and ask for help, and not even then they greet you. So sad..

I go to this Home Depot many times for the last few years. Today I needed help moving an almost 100lbs Halloween prop and with the amazing assistance of employees Kevin, Emily, Lupe and a older gentleman. I was able to fit the prop in my vehicle. Due to the prop box being too big for my car they also assisted me in putting all the pieces to my car. I couldn’t be happier with their help. The employees went above and beyond doing there job and without there help I wouldn’t have been able to buy the prop for my family’s enjoyment! Halloween has been saved!

Workers as you walk in have no knowledge of where to find anything. Why are they there plusnif they spoke better English might help. Some need an attitude change.

We went to the Home Depot in Totowa with a list and hoped to accomplish one thing on the list. Well we had a very good experience due to two employees that were helpful, professional and efficient. The first employee was Gina in appliances. She offered assistance right away with purchasing a refrigerator. She answered our questions, was safe and professional throughout the whole purchasing experience. She also approached us later when we were trying to select granite sealer and again, had great customer service!The second employee was Coach Mike (I read it on his Orange apron :) ). He assisted in building a quote for a garage door and gave helpful suggestions on what to consider with the door and door opener and installation. Thank you both for helping us!

If you need assistance prepare to wait. I waited about 15 minutes for the service desk to get me someone in plumbing. At least nearly everyone had a mask on.

Very poor customer service!!! I ordered new appliances. The delivery man walked into my home, took a five second look at my gas line, claimed it was corroded and said it he has to talk to his employer. He walked out and never returned to tell me whats going on. After a rediculous amount of time on hold, they finally answered and said to reschedule my delivery after it was replaced. I consulted three different professionals who said my gas connection was completely fine, no corrosion. Needless to say, I cancelled my order and dont ever plan to use them again!!! Buyer beware, its very poor service!

Wanted to get concrete it was out side garden. But to get to it it was a hassle. Cart was good but there was stones all over the floor in the way that kept the cart from moving.

I went into buy three items and they onlyhad one. I really get annoyed when I go online too check stock, it says it in stock.But when i get there its sold out.

Typical HD. Usually has everything I need. I usually check on line before going to make sure what I need is in stock and the inventory on their website is pretty dependable. Avoids a wasted trip.

Curbside pickup and no one, I mean no one was helpful. Had to leave my pregnant wife and a crying baby in the car so we can get what we needed (because already paid for) and left.I’m reasonable, so if someone promises a service, then please staff accordingly. I don’t blame the workers for they follow instruction, I challenge leadership to figure it out.Am I overreacting maybe, but come on folks, adjust expectations if you can’t deliver.And the order took a couple days to fulfill - I only ordered three small products.So if you can - please select a Home Depot with better leadership. Again, not blaming the workers. This is in the hands of those who run this storefront.

Dont know if they were just training today but there appeared to be a lot of management and experienced employees taking the time to help direct me while properly demonstrating excellent service for their newest employees. One cashier even had the time to give me great suggestions for floor cleaning solution while instructing another.The new set up is taking some getting used to but there is plenty of help to make things smooth and easily found.

If the website says “limited availability” for an item and also does not have an aisle or bin location, then go to the aisle you think it should be in and look up to the top stock.Limited availability usually means they have only 1 left and they’ve moved it up high to get it out of the way until someone asks for it.

Love it, they have all i Need when i go there.

The Totowa, NJ Home Depot is the worst Home Depot Ive ever been in. Store is a mess. Lumber is not the best quality. Not well stocked. And clear pricing and dimension tags are missing throughout 90% of the lumber isle. Terrible experience.Went to the Home Depot in Pine Brook. Super clean store. Associates available to help with questions. Everything is clearly marked with price & dimension. Well stocked and quality lumber products - no warped, twisted, sugary, or split lumber. I will do my shopping at Pine Brook from now on.

I miss my local hardware store. The lines at the check out are horrible.

Its Home Depot. It is what it is. Getting help in this store is hit or miss. Sometimes you can find someone willing to help, most other times youre on your own.

Was shopping for deck lumber. Quality is very poor at Home Depot but the options are scarce. On a positive note, two young employees helped me get the best lumber available among a pallet that was horrible. I commend these guys for helping me and for being very courteous.

Hard to find knowledgeable staff, check-out is often overrun, shelves and stocking always seem to be in a major disarray, and there is nothing more annoying than the in-your-face anti-theft cameras and screens dinging at you constantly up and down the isles. I only go here as a last resort, and even then I avoid it.

Not the best Home Depot for sure. Tried curbside pick up and nobody would answer the phone. Took me 7 attempts until someone picked up and just mentioned they were busy. Sat there for half an hour. Even walked up to the service desk but they told me I had to call...Today I tried to find items in store that showed availability online. Staff was not very knowledgeable or helpful. Just mentioned that I should try another Home Depot.
