They sent someone out to our house to look at our washer. He was bad, smelled like a chimney and stayed for 15 minutes. The next day they called us and charged us $109.95 for that initial service call....which they did not inform us of before he came to our house. Then they gave me a price of service which costs more than just buying a new washer. When I said this they said, its your choice. When I said, they should say what their service fee will cost before they send someone out, they rudely replied, Well did you think it was free?! 99% of our customers love us so too bad you dont When I reflect on it, its comical how bad their customer service is.
There was a time, not so long ago… that a “call ahead,” was something a contractor did to give the homeowner a complimentary notice of their immediate arrival.A call ahead is not “our guy was in the area,” or an excuse to move on to the next job. If the window for arrival is 1-5PM, you should (actually) show up during the predetermined time.I called the morning of to confirm the appointment.Arrive on time and ring the doorbell...No response... thats a missed appointment.Phoning it in, isnt showing up.Glad to know your time and your schedule, are more important than your customers.--------------------------------------------------------------“Would you like to reschedule?”- Yeah o.k... Unbelievable...---------------------------------------------------------------Wouldn’t have to, if someone showed up and completed the job when they were scheduled to.Whats the point of giving the customer a window if no one shows up?• Accountability• Professionalism• Respect for the homeowner’s timeA one star review is too generous.
I have never EVER experienced such awful customer service. After we missed the repair person who came to change the part on our dishwasher, we attempted to reschedule the appointment. From the onset, the technician was rude and inflexible. We called the office to request another appointment, and apologized for the mixup. The woman who answered the phone continued to be rude and inflexible and even hung up on me when I asked to speak with the service manager. I was confused and disappointed by the unwarranted rudeness and very strange rigidity by this company. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this business.
Both my fridge and freezer were warm, so I called for service. The technician was very friendly. He explained the issue and what he was doing to fix it, and also gave me some great maintenance tips to hopefully make my very old fridge last a lot longer. This was a few years ago and (no jinxies) I havent had any issues since. Great service! I highly recommend!
The service techs they send know their stuff and solve the issues. We have had both Ron and Rick out to fix issues and they both were top notch people and technicians. A little expensive but what isnt these days.
Confident, knowledgeable, dependable, professional, truthful and safe. That is my experience with the service I received this morning with Towson Appliance. Thank you Ron. Can’t wait to start doing laundry again... ha.I wouldn’t hesitate to contact them for all of my appliance repair needs.
I called for an appointment to have someone fix our Thermador Freezer. It took days to get an appointment (which I understand) but the technician shows up and was there for probably 15 minutes and states he cant find anything wrong with it. A week later the freezer stops working completely and I end up throwing out all the food because it is hotter in the freezer than it is outside! I would not recommend this place to anyone!
Very happy with the repair of our Refrigerator. Rick, the technician is great. He repaired our stove about 5 years ago when he worked for another company. Not only does he do excellent work, hes a funny guy too. Keeps me laughing.
Great job. Tech was very experienced. Unfortunately he tried to say when the part may be available. I recommend you call the office for that information and you wont be disappointed; maybe at all.
Fantastic Service!! Went above and beyond for us. Thank you so much for you help! I would definitely call again and recommend them.
Super quick and easy to work with, thanks!
I just had rick to my house for a service call after trying another company and wow what a difference, he was so knowledgeable and helpful. Look forward to doing more Buiseness with them.
This is my first review ever. Wish I could give 0. Technician completely blew us off. Dont bother.
*** WORST SERVICE EVER DO NOT USE***I was connected to this service through Maytag. There was a knocking sound in my washer during the was cycle. When the person arrived he was stand offish and had no communication with me. I explained what the problem was, he proceeded to fill the washer with water and press on the agitator. Took the top off and let the water drain. Placed the top back on and said nothing was wrong. I tried to explain to him that there were no clothes in the washer and let me put something in. He then told me I dont have time for you to put clothes in the washer, after being in my home every bit of 15 mins. I did not know there was a time limit for him to be there, since I had to take 1/2 day off from work for the 12 - 4 time window. As I tried to plead with him to let me load the washer, he sat a sticker down and told me to Call the girls at the office. Wow! On the way out of the door he said he could order a transmission box, but I will have to call the office to have someone put it in. If there was nothing wrong why would I want you to put in a transmission box. If there were a rating below 1 star they would get it. ***DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE***
Scheduled time between 1 and 5. I called to rescheduled at 4:57 and ask where they were. There was no answer. They called me saying they came to the house at 4:45 and no one was home. I was home all day waiting for the person. They continued to say they took a picture of my front door and no one was home. Both my kids were home with me two and would have answered the door if someone came. Atrocious customer service and unfortunately stuck with them because of they are the company out home warranty uses. Avoid.
One horrible technician was straight up rude and condescending to my wife and I. He refused to do simple tasks and pushed work onto my plumber. Another tech was good with my oven—polite and nice. They’re customer support is rude and honestly unbearable. It was a mixed bag at best with them. Avoid if possible.
Let me start by saying this is the first bad review I have felt the need to write. I contacted Towson Alliance as they are an authorized Kitchen Aid repair facility. My fiance took my stand mixer in for a repair. First they said they would call with an estimate before doing any work. That didnt happen. Next we were told I would have it by Thanksgiving. I was called and told it was ready. A couple of hours later they called and said it was making a weird noise and they wanted to look over it some more. I am happy they wanted to take the time to make sure it was right. I had to call them Friday to see what was happening. The tech called me back and said the motor was making a noise and the motor was hesitating on low speeds. She said she thought it was because it needed to be run but, I was assured that I had a warranty and they would make things right if they were not. My fiance went to pick up the mixer Tuesday. When I got home the outside housing was scratched all over and some so deep I can see the metal beneath. The silver ring by the beater mechanism shows dents and tool marks. I was furious (still am). Called left a message that night. Called back in the morning was told the tech comes in later and she would call me back. She then proceeded to tell me she didnt think it left the shop that way.. She pretty much accused the man who bought me the mixer of messing it up!! Really?!! I asked to speak with a manager whose only in shop hours are 8am to 9am. Hmmm. I have no confidence that my mixer even works. I am going to their shop tomorrow to see what resolution can be come to. Will update.
The repairman swore to us that our electrical connection to our new Bosch (they are an authorized dealer) was bad - although we had a dedicated line. After paying for an electrician to verify the electric was fine, Towson did not reimburse us nor show up for an appointment to solve the problem. Worse company Ive ever dealt with.
Aside arriving on time, everything else was a wash. Couldnt fix the dishwasher and stated that because it only has a cold water feed, dishes dont get clean - even though modern dishwashers heat on demand. Never fixed any of the issues, had to call a second company who repaired the pump within 10 minutes.
My 1 year home owners warrantee company chose towson appliance to come fix my wall oven. someone did come out to the house, and said they were ordering a part; two weeks later i call to follow up after not hearing anything. the women who answers the phone is a miserable nasty woman. learned from the insurance company that towson reported that they could not fix the oven because they dont work on large household items.. confusing. do not call them
We have used Towson Appliance for 25 years and never had a problem with service or scheduling. I highly recommend them.
Very honest. Never had any issues with them in my 20 years of using them.
Very helpful. Not many parts in stock, but they can get it the next day
If I could give no stars I would. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Every single employee right down to the technician was ignorant . I called to check on the status after a week of no follow up by them and they simply just said they werent fixing it and flat out lied about the problem. The woman at the company proceeded to yell and say I wasnt listening to her and hung up on me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !
Customer service is simply awful. I had an appointment from 1-5 and the service tech called at 12:30 and left a message saying call me so I can figure out what the problem is to see if its worth coming all the way out there. Note that I had already described the issue with my washer to several other people, which is why he was scheduled to come out in the first place. So I call him back and he said he got lost and would call right back. I received a call instead from Kim at the service center who said I needed to reschedule my appointment (I had already taken off of work to accomodate the first four-hour block). At this time, it was 1:30----he still had PLENTY of time to come out during the 1-5 window! Kim refused to work with me and said I had to reschedule, then told me she would call me back. Instead, someone from Lowes (where we purchased the washer) called saying I needed to reschedule. When I called Towson Appliance back to speak with a supervisor, conveniently, there were no supervisors there. Save yourself the hassle and do NOT work with this company. (FYI Lowes does contract out to other companies, so ask to use anyone BUT Towson Appliance).
We found them by way of our HMS warranty company. They came to fix our refrigerator which was a bit complicated and they were wonderful. Made sure it got fixed and fixed right!
Kimberly was very helpful. Hours are to 5 on most weeknights, not 10 p.m.
MY FIRST BAD REVIEW - I Was scheduled for an appointment between the hours of one and five and after calling to confirm the status of my technician at 4 PM I was told that the technician would not be arriving, So we rescheduled the appointment for today between the hours of one and five and it is now 3:41 pm and have not heard from the technician. I called the office, spoke to schedulers to inquiry as the time the tech would arrive.... this was almost an hour ago. Ridiculous!!!
The woman who answers the phone for this company is rude.
Great Customer Service.
