This has been where my best friend got her gown, and I just got mine. I am so amazed by the level of service. I came in and I am the biggest tomboy. I cant dress myself like a girl and I showed them what my be all end all dress would be and they topped it. Fittings are quick and I feel like the only bride in the place even when they are busy. The women running thus place are so personable and made me feel comfortable and knew exactly what needed to be done for everything. Thank you for making me a QUEEN

Working with Mary and Claire at Gamberdella was wonderful. From the moment I walked in the store last November they seemed to know exactly what I wanted for my dress. Since I was shopping during COVID restrictions, they even made it possible for me to facetime my grandmother and aunt so they could see my dress. All went smoothly during dress fittings and even when there was a minor hiccup with my veil on my pick-up date, they handled it quickly and calmly and had me out the door en route to my wedding with a brand new veil.

Everyone Ive been in contact with here has been very friendly, helpful, and so personable. There were two ladies I met when I came into the store and they were SO lovely! I regret I did not catch their names, but the one even helped me get into the dress! Mary, however, was the real star and a real delight to work with. She called me to follow up on an inquiry I made on the website a few days ago, and asked me what I was looking for. She thought for a few seconds, said they had just gotten something that might fit the bill. When I came in to try it on, it surpassed all expectations and was everything Ive been looking for, I didnt want to take it off! She even offered to hold onto the same dress (but one that had never been worn) for an extra day while I fulfill obligations to my bridesmaid to look at other dresses 😅, truly above and beyond what was expected. My wedding is in less than 2 months, and while everything around me is chaotic, Mary made me feel calm & comfortable.Yall Mary is so much of a treasure, that Im out here writing reviews for a place I havent even officially purchased a dress from yet! I had a wonderful experience at Gamberdella! My first dress with them was in high school (15+) years ago. I needed extra alterations and It was no problem at all- I loved the gown. My most recent purchased is my wedding gown! We tried one chain store and hated the entire experience. I decided that we needed a boutique experience and called Gamberdella’s. Our consultant was absolutely amazing. She never talked about sizes or made me feel awkward for being curvy. Plus, discreetly spoke with my mom about pricing. All the while she is rotating stock and asking me questions. I never felt rushed or hurried. When I stepped in to my dress, I knew it was perfect. It was a good feeling.The shipping took longer than expected but they kept us informed. Leaving no room for us to worry. When it came to alternations it was so easy- 3 fittings, then pick up. The shop is beautiful, clean and cool. Parking in the back or pay a meter out front.

Mary, Clare, Jen and the entire Gamberdella team is absolutely amazing and accommodating! In April of 2019, my daughter found her dream dress at a salon in Denver, where she was living at the time. However, she soon thereafter moved back to the east coast. Gamberdella carried dresses by the designer but not the exact dress my daughter wanted. Mary Gamberdella had a sample of the dress shipped to her salon from the designer in NYC. We wound up ordering that dress from Gamberdella in May of 2019. My daughter’s first fitting was in February, 2020 for her June, 2020 wedding. Then Covid hit. Her wedding was then postponed 2 more times until she finally got married in May, 2021. Gamberdella kept her dress in safe keeping for over 1 year until my daughter could safely return for fittings. My daughter had several fittings and because she lives in Boston, she often needed fittings that were outside of Gamberdellas normal business hours. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Mary and her team! We have found a new set of friends! Thank you, thank you to Mary and her team for such a professional, positive and fun experience! Gamberdella played a huge part in making my daughter’s wedding soo magical and beautiful!

When I bought my dress Mary told me “I will take care of you,” and I’ve felt that way completely! Even my bridesmaids have said this was the easiest process they’ve ever had with buying dresses!

Not sure if I could have had a better experience, even with COVID. The team at Gamberdella was flexible, accommodating, and excelled at my virtual fitting. It fit FLAWLESSLY and I only had myself. They recommended a second person to help but I didnt have anyone, and still the adjustments were amazing. I could not be happier with my fitting, try-on, customer service, and overall experience. I didn’t buy a dress at the boutique due to my short timeline, however, the owner was very kind, understanding and helpful! She pointed me to a biz where she thought I’d find a dress quickly, and she was right! I found my dress the next day, which probably would not have been the case if she didn’t take the time to point me to Cherie Amour in Savage Mill. Great person focused on helping others. I would recommend this biz for its person alone!

I wish I could give this salon 10 stars! Truly the best possible wedding dress shopping experience. Mary (owner) goes above and beyond for her customers and we basically became family. She even came to my wedding to help hold my dress up and make it perfect before I walked down the aisle. Everyone is professional, kind, and willing to do anything for their clients. Their selection of dresses were incredible and I did not feel rushed in trying on until I found the perfect one. I even bought one that I was on the fence about (I am impressionable and my mom loved it) and then 1 week later I had second thoughts and was able to return it without issue and then found one even more perfect for me. I cant say enough. Their salon is beautiful and they really make you feel special. You wont regret going to Gamberdella!

I am ebullient after going to Gamberdella not once, but twice this past weekend. This was my first experience and I can say that Im very close to saying yes to the dress there. Mary and her team are caring, knowledgable, patient, and have an eye for what you are looking for which is an incredible talent that is wholly genuine. Mary welcomed my sisters and mother into the shop with open arms and we left feeling like we were on Cloud 9! I highly recommend making an appointment, it is a customized, warm experience that made me feel confident in them and in myself afterward.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Gamberdella. From the moment I walked in the doors, Mary and her amazing team welcomed me with open arms. It was so obvious from the minute my appointment started, these ladies knew their stuff. They were immediately pulling dresses I never would have even imagined to pull because they new it would fit my body, vision, and budget. They knew their designers, dresses, and styles better than any other salon I had been to. They made me feel so beautiful during the whole appointment and truly felt like their one goal was to find me that perfect dress. It sounds silly to say, as this should be every bridal shop’s goal, but let me tell you Gamberdella went above and beyond my expectations compared to what other shops could barely meet. I visited this salon a few months ago but I forgot to leave a review. The service was absolutely wonderful. The consultants were very patient and helpful. I did not feel rushed or pressured. After I told the consultant what I was looking for she brought out plenty of dresses for me to try on and assured me that I could try on as many dresses and I liked. The owner was very helpful as well. She stopped in my fitting room and assured me that she could alter any dress to my taste. The boutique also has a great selection of gowns.

I found my dream dress at Gamberdella, and the service was impeccable!Both of my older sisters found their wedding gowns at Gamberdella in Towson, so when it came time to look for my dress we knew where to begin.I was a bit apprehensive about going to a formal bridal shop because I am a fuller figured woman. Mary could not have made me feel more comfortable. They listened to what I was thinking of and brought out a wide selection of dresses, all carefully chosen just for me and my style!I fell in love with my dress after only trying on 3! It was such a perfect experience.Going for fittings was a dream. The shop is so warm and friendly.Eves alterations were so precise. She helped me to shorten the dress and made sure that I was happy and comfortable in the shape of the dress. She gave honest advice and was always a joy to spend time with.Gamberdella will always be a special place for me! Cannot recommend it enough!!

I needed to try on a specific brand/style of bridesmaid dress for a wedding. When I called Gamberdella to inquire on their inventory they told me to stop by, no appointment needed. When I arrived I was thrilled with the huge selection of the brand/style dress I needed and I spent about 45 minutes trying dresses on. They set me up with a fitting room and showed me where I could browse dresses. Staff regularly checked in on me though I was largely left on my own. I came in knowing what I was looking for, so I was happy being independent, but if youre looking for more guidance you may want to actually set up an appointment. I would recommend them to anyone shopping for dresses.

The owner of the store and her associates provided me with individualized attention and helped me select the perfect dress for my destination wedding; that also fit my personality and style. They were very patient and honest. The dress fabric is high quality, that I plan on passing down to my daughter. I had a wonderful experience and love my dress!!!

Unfortunately I didnt have a great shopping experience here, my worst experience of all the shops I visited. When I first arrived I was greeted by an older woman ( may have been the owner). She was warm and inviting sadly that was the only good thing about my time there. The consultant I was paired with was dry, had no personality, and most importantly didnt really listen to me. I gave her a few options to work with as far as what I liked but after we discovered they didnt really have one of the looks I was looking for...she kept bringing in dress after dress that was the complete opposite of what I told her. In fact I described a dress I specifically didnt like an she brought in 3 of them! I mostly helped myself in and out the dresses. It wasnt enjoyable at all. I really wished my consultant listened to me more or at least pretended like she enjoyed her job.

My mom ordered her Mother of the Bride dress from Gamberdella’s. While our shopping experience was pretty good, everything after it was not. The dress was not in by the time quoted to us at the purchase date. She needed two sets of alterations (the bodice has to be reconstructed in a way so it fit my mom better, and then needed a hem). She said she needed it by Saturday, 11/24, as she is leaving on the following Wednesday for the wedding (which is in Florida) and was working up until that date. When she asked about the price for the alterations, she was told someone would call her with that answer. No one ever did. She called today (11/24) and was told while the alterations were finished, the dress wasn’t pressed and that she could pick it up on Monday. She informed them that wouldn’t work (she is working all Monday and Tuesday) and that she would pick it up by 3. The dress was ready, but the cost of the alterations was a little bit of a shock. Maybe the price is competitive, I don’t know. When my mom expressed displeasure at the amount (which she had asked about previously) she was told, “Well, your dress didn’t cost that much anyway.” That is not the point. Weddings are expensive and money is tight right now for us. We don’t need the judgement that the dress wasn’t that expensive. That was part of the reason it was picked.

The morning of my daughter, Katrina’s wedding, she tried on her beautiful, strapless gown from Gamberdella. She applied the 2 sided tape to attach her bra to the gown. This was to prevent any slippage. But she lost some weight since the last fitting and the dress was sliding. Everyone tried different ideas to keep it in place. Katrina was very uncomfortable. She was afraid that while walking down the church aisle she would have to keep tugging on it to keep it up. I called Mary, the owner of Gamberdella’s and told her what was happening. She asked what church and she said she and the seamstress, Eve, would meet us at the church. A half hour later as we pulled up to the church, Mary and Eve were there waiting for us! What a relief!! My daughter, Mary and Eve went to the Church basement. Eve quickly sewed the bra to the dress and solved the problem. I could see the tension in my daughter’s face turn to joy. Due to Mary and Eve’s efforts the ceremony started on time. Mary and Eve stayed with Katrina to arrange the dress and veil before she walked down the aisle. Katrina was able to walk down the long church aisle with beauty and confidence. We will always be thankful to Gamberdella’s Mary and Eve for saving the day that could have been disastrous. I am so happy that we didn’t go with a large bridal retailer. I don’t think the personal attention would have been the same. The gown was gorgeous. The whole process for my daughter at Gamberdella was personalized and fun. They helped her find the style dress within her budget that she wanted. Thank you Gamberdella!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Gamberdella’s has a beautiful selection of dresses, the staff was so helpful and kind, and the owner (Mary) made sure we had the best experience possible.

RUN!! Gamberdellas ruined my wedding dress. I purchased my wedding dress here and they ended up ordering the wrong size. We kept telling the owner and the seamstress that it was too big, however, they kept assuring us that they dealt with this all the time and that they would make it fit like a glove. After 10 plus fittings, they made one final alteration the night before my wedding and destroyed my wedding dress. It was so bad that the owner admitted it was not fixable and that I would have to wear a sample gown that they had. I didnt get to wear my own wedding dress on my wedding day and I will never get the opportunity to. They ended up having to clean the sample dress and fit it to me the morning of my wedding. They STILL altered it wrong and I ended up not being able to wear a corset under my dress leaving it gaping in the chest area in my wedding photos. Please dont risk you wedding day here - go somewhere else!

I wasnt impressed when I went there three years ago for my wedding dress and Im still not impressed as a MOH. I went with my friend for her fitting when the dress came in and the seamstress actually told my friend, a size 12 who has been the same weight for years, that she needed to lose weight to make the dress fit because she must have gained weight. More likely that she measured her wrong and didnt order the dress big enough. My friends is healthy though and doesnt want to lose weight. So she decided to just go somewhere else. Also, the selection of bridesmaids dresses is small.

I have a hard time trusting reviewers who complain about the dresses in this shop being too expensive. If a shop cannot accommodate your budget, it is fair to look elsewhere but unfair to slam the shop. It seems like perhaps those brides should have done a bit more research before making appointments as the stores website very clearly lists the designers they carry. Gamberdellas is a higher end store with a beautiful selection of gowns. My stylist, Clare, was totally in tune with what I was looking for. After speaking for just a few minutes about the wedding and my taste, she pulled five dresses, four of which I loved. Mary, the owner is very experienced and opinionated so she will offer advice, sometimes unsolicited. I happened to appreciate this. I have three dresses in mind at this shop and will be buying my wedding dress here. In my opinion, the negative reviews are misguided and the shop is certainly worth a look.

Gamberdella Bridal Salon is a lovely family-owned boutique in Towson, Maryland. Both of my daughters wedding gowns were purchased there, as well as bridesmaids dresses and mother-of-the-bride dresses. We received nothing but professional, attentive service. Mary Gamberdella was very helpful and knowledgeable about what style is best for each body type. Her delightful seamstress, Eve, is an expert and was also very helpful to me. My daughters and I had a fun, relaxing time dress shopping and were able to quickly find dresses that suited their figures, their personal style and my pocketbook. I cant say enough good things about Gamberdellas.

Horrible experience. I couldnt wait to get out of there...they came off very abrupt, stern and lacked emotion or personality, which made for a very dry appointment. I asked several questions an either got no answer just a stare, or a response that I knew was a incorrect.

Beware of this store! The customer service is absolutely terrible. Tried to stiff arm my fiancé into buying a dress she did not want. The sales consultant Mets came in extremely hot and pushy. Talked over everyone and tried to control my fiancé’s dress buying experience. Mets was extremely abrasive and made my fiancé feel so uncomfortable. Her experience was so terrible and Mets was so terrible it resulted in my fiancé breaking down into tears. This place is a freaking joke. You’re not the Rockefeller’s of Towson Md or the Kleinfeld of the wedding industry.

I came to this store with my friend in search of a graduation dress and we were treated terribly. The lady was extremely unhelpful, dismissive, and condescending. She spoke a maximum of 10 words to us in the time that we were there and we only stayed there for 5 minutes after I had just paid for parking for an hour. POCs beware

Our bridal party had a HORRIBLE experience at Gamberdellas, with the owner no less. She basically insulted and shamed my two friends who are over weight and flat out told one of them she was too big for the dress--she recently had a baby btw, and the owner asked her how long ago and was shaming her for not losing the baby weight yet. They offered no tailor to come out and explain how they could make the dress work to her size, or if they could order extra fabric just in case. THE OWNER IS MEAN AND COMPLETELY UNACCOMMODATING! In hind sight if I was a little more brave I would have reached across the desk and tore up the contract I already signed and said I was taking my money elsewhere. I just couldnt believe that had happened. This is supposed to be a happy day and a celebration, not a day for shaming someones body. NO ONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED LIKE THAT! HORRIBLE SERVICE, DONT SHOP THERE!!
