I came to get my botched hair fixed, I went to a salon 2 weeks ago at Jordan Thomas and the lady f it up. Thankfully Susan was to the rescue. It’s my first experience with Susan but I can tell Susan is a professional and educated Hairsylist that I have ever experience. Furthermore, she is patient and does not rush the process! she is definitely a hair whisperer! My hair is now soft, even, and no longer brassy. Thanks soo much !

Love this store because I can pamper myself

I needed help with something they could not assist me with. They tried their best and even got their manager without me asking. They truly tried to make it right. Even offered me a samples to help as well as let me know what deals they had.The store was clean and organized. I was greeted promptly and directed where I can go to solve my issue.

I had gotten my hair done today. My hair looks amazing dont get me wrong. But I felt as if I was a ginny pig for a new hair dresser. I was there for over 3 hours. And got something that maybe shouldve taken 2 hours. She kept asking the other lady for help and the other lady pretty much did my whole entire appointment while the other girl was watching and learning while using my hair. I didnt mind but I wish I wouldve been told me that before I made an appointment.

When I went,to Ulta I had several questions about the products. A very nice young lady answered my questions. I bought what I needed. It is a very nice place.

I asked a customer for help. She was very helpful and she referred me to the store manager. The manager went through the entire process of making sure I purchased the best products and knew how to apply them. I was elated.

I’ve come to this ulta multiple times and have received “help” from Ginger (who I was told was the manager) and a few others. Each encounter with Ginger has been unpleasant and rude. I’ve asked about sales and she said “read the signs”. I just wanted a few minutes of customer service, instead of looking around the store to see what’s on sale. She also was not interested in helping me find a foundation; instead she wanted to talk with the MAC girl about personal topics. Any question you have don’t bother to ask, because she will have an attitude. After 4 encounters; i know to find someone else in the store. On the other hand the cashiers and other sales people are the sweetest and are always willing and happy to help. I continue to visit this location for the rest of the people there and the wide selection of products. If it wasn’t for Ginger; I’d be giving 5 stars

I went to get a haircut, when I booked it showed the price was $55, when I was given the check out slip it showed $65. When I asked the stylist why the price difference she told me that the $55 price was for a TRIM, and I needed to go ask to speak to a manager. She only cut 2-3 inches, so it wasnt like she cut a ton of hair to justify the price difference. She didnt even fully do what I asked for. Overall, it wasnt a bad haircut, but between getting push back on what I wanted (side bangs) and the price issue, I wont be returning.

I decided to stop by this location because I wanted new foundation. The store is well stocked with lots of selections. I liked that a lot. I arrived early morning about an hour after opening abs proceeded to wander around. There was 1 young lady on register checking out customers. No other employees were on the floor. I asked for help and she did call the back for someone... which I appreciated. I wanted to try Juvia foundation.... a brand I never wore before. Everything and I mean ever is wrapped up so you can’t use or really see a tester. I get it: we are still working thru Covid restrictions. So I asked if she could open and maybe let me see a few. She said no. I can do my best to help you and if you don’t like it you can bring it back. Now... she wasn’t rude and I’m sure she is just stating policy that they have told her to say. But... who has time to keep running back to ultra because your foundation didn’t match!!! That’s a waste of time! I decided if I’m going to do that I may as well order using Amazon from the comfort of my couch. Next day shipping and easy returns! A better policy would have been ‘ only employees can open testers for you’.

I will never shop at Ulta again. Today I experienced “shopping while black” not only from the security guard, but the store manager from the TOWSON location. I told them repeatedly I did not need help, and they would NOT leave me alone! When I got home, I did some research and learned that many other African Americans had this same issue, and Ulta was in hot water for racial profiling back in 2019. I will be sure to spread to word to my fellow AFRICAN AMERICAN muas or makeup lovers. Never again!!

Absolutely worst Ulta experience of my life. I Call to ask if they have the new Nyx lipstick and she said, “the WHO?” ..... you work in Ulta and u don’t know one of your most popular brands. Now I’ve called 4 other Ulta stores previous to this one and they’ve been nothing but helpful. I ask this lady can you please see if there are a couple specific colors for me? She says “no there’s like 9 colors here you can go online”. NEVER going here.

This is the worst Ulta Ive been to. Every time I place an online order and come to pick it up inside the store, several employees walk by me without acknowledging me or asking if I need help. I stand there ackwardly, just wanting to pick up my online order. Ispend thousands of dollars at Ulta every year. And sometimes they cant even find my order. Like when I came yesterday. Lack of organization skills by the store. I only come here out of convenience. The employees are so rude and literally wait for the line to wrap around to ask another employee to come to the front to help. This is not acceptable. Every time I come to pick up my order, its a frustrating experience.

Every time I shop here it’s always a different experience. Sometimes good sometimes bad. But I will say I always see the same girl walking around and asking everyone if they’re doing okay probably 3-4x. She’s helped me multiple times and she’s the best of the best. I wish I could remember her name but I do know she’s an esthetician and works for benefit. She’s so sweet and funny! She’s super knowledgeable on products, especially skincare. So the next time you are at this location and need skincare advance ask for the esthetician.

Normally pretty chill ULTA. I called yesterday night 20 mins before closing looking for the go smile sonic pro whitening kit. Its currently clearneace . I spoke with two different associates both said this location didnt have it...so out of sheer curiosity I went and checked. And not only did they have it but its right in front of the register . where both young ladies said they were...so mad I didnt take their names and I got in here after opening. Yeah and an associate said the products have been there since opening yesterday.

Super clean, well-organized, lovely staff who check on you but arent stalky. The only bummer, which is not on the store at all - COVID - is that all of the samples and displays are taped off so you cant try a swatch or open something to see the colors. But again, thats for everyones safety, so no ding.

The Towson ulta is extremely unsafe. I will not continue to shop there. On multiple occasions I have seen people blatantly stealing, and the poor employees seem as though they can’t do anything about it. I highly do not recommend shopping here.

Beware of the salon -- ask for prices on the service(s) you are receiving as they are not disclosed adequately. I went in for a blowout and was asked if I wanted a hair treatment - no additional cost was mentioned at the time (I figured there would be some cost, but nothing crazy), and it ended up being $25. Ok, fine. I then had my blowout ($40 price listed on the website); during the course of the blowout, the stylist used a straightening iron to help create some curls - this was then billed as a separate service and set me back an additional $30 (even though the description on the website indicates this would be an entirely different type of service for already dry hair, not just the use of a straightener during the course of a blowout). I mean, seriously? Tell your customer if its going to be billed as a totally separate service in advance. Super annoying. I wont be back.

Two employees stood at the front entrance walkway as soon as customers entered the door chatting the whole time. There was a lot of missing inventory in the section I was looking to purchase from. After trying to find merchandise for 5 minutes, I had to walk back to the entrance to ask for help. The person was eager and nice, but I felt like it could have been a better experience. I think other customer were looking for help too, because one stopped her to ask questions while she was helping me. I ended up finding the item myself, after she said they didnt have it and when I got to the register, the cashier had stepped away to help someone on the floor. Meanwhile, the two employees were still in the same spot talking. One of them decided to ring me up. I may try them again if I know theyre the only ones that carry something. Otherwise, they wont be my first choice.

While I did get a decent hair cut, the stylist was very abrupt and rough. No conversation!Then when I went to check out, the cashier was incredibly rude and had quite an attitude with me about my number not being in the system.I will not be returning!

I typically go here but lately they make the experience very uncomfortable. I understand its the holiday season but they have a lady who will just follow you around pretend to be looking or doing something. She think shes watching me but i sit back and watch her and think really?It makes the store very unwelcoming and ultimately gives the entire ulta a bad rep in my books.

I come here specifically to get Monica to do my eyebrows. After too many mishaps I have finally found someone to trust again. Monica is very clean and professional . She always gives her professional opinion regarding what works best with your skin type and never makes you feel pressured. So glad I found someone to trust with my eyebrows again. Ask for Monica!

As a retail store, Im pretty much always happy with Ulta, so Im going to write a review regarding the salon services, which Ive had at this location a couple of times. The prices will vary drastically depending on the service you get and what youre having done, so theres not a good way to determine what the end cost is going to be. I always book online with whoever is available, and this is probably not a good idea.For my latest salon service I wanted my hair bleached and then dyed one solid color. I was quoted $250 by the stylist when I got in the chair, which was a more than I was expecting but I said it was fine. 4 or 5 hours later, I was told that my total would be TWICE that amount, and my jaw almost fell off. I did spend at least an hour sitting and doing nothing in the middle of my service because my stylist (master level iirc) went to cut someone elses hair. So she took an hours worth of work off my total .... which was great, but my bill still came out to over $400 when I was originally quoted $250. There was also several times I was sitting at the sink when she said shed be back in a few minutes, and it turned into a half an hour. I spent half the day at the the sink, which was really uncomfortable, especially because the neck pillow kept falling off. At one point the dye got in my eye which was extremely painful, so I had to go to the sink and wash it out with paper towels the best I could. Then when the stylist blow dried my hair, she literally burned my ear! Salon hairdryers are uncomfortably hot, but Ive never outright had someone burn me with one before. I was very patient with all of this and still left an appropriate tip of 20%+ for the services. Still, I dont think Ill be using the Ulta salon anymore. (They also tried to get me to schedule to get my roots done a month later for another $120... no thanks. Ill learn how to bleach my own hair.)Ill come back for the products but Im done with the salon, unfortunately.

Susans haircut was fantastic. She listened, provided input, and I walked out very happy. She didnt make me feel out of place as a man getting more feminine request. All in all, great service!

I dont shop there often (more like ever). But I needed to go get some things for my wife. I had no idea where anything was. A nice sales associate helped me find everything. Great experience.

Horrible Customer Service!!!!!! They do not greet you when you 1st walk in the store. They do not acknowledge your presence while in the store. I walked around for 10 mins trying to find a particular foundation brand and still no one helped.. I ended up leaving for poor service and they did not have the color shade I needed. YOU DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ME RETURNING THERE EVER AGAIN!!!!

This is the worst ultra i’ve ever been to, and I’d much rather buy products online than have to go into the store. I’ve been here several times just to give them an honest chance. No one greets you at the door, or even acknowledges your presence the entire time. Every single time, even during the holiday season. Today I was in the store for 30 minutes and the only person you talked to me was the cashier at checkout. I walked past every employee and nothing. It’s disappointing and disheartening especially because I was so excited for this location to open up. They do not care about the customers whatsoever.

This is based on my daughters opinion of the store. The products cover every price range and they offer many discounts. What we went there for was sold out, but an alternative was easily found. The location is the clincher because the mall is avoided.

Where do I begin? My experience here was amazing. I came in looking for skin care. When I was approached by Adrianna she told me she was the skin therapist and asked if I needed any help. She was with me for a good hour or 2 explaining dermalogica products, and drug store skin care products to me. After she finished talking to me about skin care I asked if I could get a facial. She took me into her room and she begin the facial. I’ve gotten plenty of facials before but her movements and personality was different. She educated me on the products she was using on my skin and why it will help with my skin type, Ive never had an esthetician teach me about the products. She was so kind, sweet, and a good listener! and not judgmental at all when I told her what was wrong with my skin. ill definitely be back and to whoever is reading this you need to book your next facial with her!! She’s amazing!!

Lots to see and try. I picked up a gift of perfume and a little something for myself. They are ready for customers to come in and shop for Xmas. They have a ton of gift sets as soon as you walk in, it was a bit overwhelming. Lots of ideas of beauty items to try

Everything is more expensive than it should be. Most of the stuff can be ordered online directly from the manufacturer for less money.....however, returns are easy, which is a plus. Almost all the hair products can be found at Marshalls or TJ maxx for half the price or less.

I always have to hunt down a sales person for assistance. Slow check-out service. I wish I had a store near my area.

Ghetto trash! Horrible customer service I’m simply browsing not looking for anything in particular but I’m stared at the entire time... As soon as I pick something up someone is asking if I need something - no thank you I’m just looking I’ll let someone know if I have a question. When I actually had a question I get pure attitude, I was actually shocked. Employees not friendly, not nice, not knowledgeable about the products, it wasn’t a pleasant experience the manager yesterday didn’t make it any better. I do not recommend this Ulta and won’t return.

Made an appointment last week with MAC at this location. Everywhere was booked due to prom. I get a call the day of stating they can not see me for my apt cause the girl does not come in till 3pm. She offered me to come in a noon instead and stated that their people would do it at same charge $60 just for service. I tried to call back to speak with manager an no answer at store location. Horrible!! I can believe they couldnt make better accommodations for canceling day of.

I love the helpful staff, the salon, the variety of products. Is it really expensive, of course, but cause it’s a salon you can get really good products and advice.

I’ve heard of the store and was shocked to see one next to the five below I was visiting in towson. I shopped around for a few but not without the numerous employees following me and my sister and asking if we needed assistance every five seconds. I noticed the other shoppers weren’t being pestered, but I was going to buy my facial mask anyway, got to the counter and after being followed around almost the entire time there was no one at the register to ring me up. I left the product right on the counter and left since they took too long. I will not be visiting this store again!

The Benefit Brow Bar is amazing and so is Monica this is my second time seeing her and she really bring my Brows back to life.

These kids on the floor and at the register do not know how to resolve a hiccup in the flow. I have visited st least four times. The employees are clustered together chatting about their weekend plains. The cashier messed up resulting in me not receiving points on my large purchases. I had to call Customer Service to resolve that issue. Im still awaiting the return of my points. I am not treated as well as the younger customers. Ive never had an issue at Sephora.

I love ulta. But also this location is clean and organized. Got my hair cut and styled at the salon by bridgette, a salom manager there. She was absolutely amazing. She had such great attention to detail and was very good at finding out what I wanted although I was somewhat vague about what I wanted. I left with gorgeous hair and very pleased. I would absolutely recommend the salon.

Really bad time here. I needed a long service and they scheduled it for the end of the day (place closed at 9, appointment was at 6) I asked for a balyage and they were confident they could do it. I was open about my hair history that I previously had an ombre which I dyed back to black but they said it was no problem. The first appointment I had was with Harmit. They rushed while cutting my hair but it was not a complicated cut, it took about 5 to 10 minutes, only a few stray hairs to fix myself. They couldnt lift to color to how light I wanted because it couldnt be done in one service which they said they could in do it in one. They still said it was fine but didnt offer a follow up to get it to the right color. I complained and they did a reservice (but they tried to charge me dor it initally).The second appointment was with Bridgette. The blending of the bleach was really bad. I learned after, the way they bleach is bad because they used 40 volume all over including my scalp and stuck my under a dryer to speed things up which causes blochy bleaching- I know they were busy but the bottom part of my hair fell out despite trying many Olaplex treatments (I did these myself, they did a protein treatment but the hair was so damaged it didnt help).I got a refund for the services but not the haircut which was rushed since the store was closing, the protein treatment which didnt help, or the tip (which of course I dont need a refund for). When I asked for a refund, the store told me I could have had a reservice or a refund which they didnt tell me when I first complained and also they tried to charge me for the reservice anyway! I ended up called the head office to get the refund so I could go to another salon to fix my hair (they had to cut off most of the damage and dye the rest back to black).

Disgusting and unhygienic. I have yet to hear from a district manager regarding the selling of prior used makeup on the sales floor. The sales rep are aloof and act like they cannot be bothered. I have been more than patient with this store and company i n general.
