I had the absolute best experience at the UPS store in Towson. My dad and I were served by the cashier named Peter, employee # 160558, on a Friday evening during rush hour when the line was all the way back to the door. He was so patient with us and answered all our questions on what the best shipping option would be for our family, since we were on a budget. He was really kind and after a long hard week at work, it was refreshing to be treated so well by a total stranger. We both left smiling and said we would definitely return. I highly recommend this location. Ive never received such stellar service at a store. Even my dad was impressed and he rarely is. :)
There is no way anyone could not give this place a good rating. I have NEVER seen a more well-run, efficient business! When there is a line, it goes unbelievably fast. Every employee is so nice & professional. I have never seen one of them get frazzled- especially when there is so much happening at once. I can mail a package from there in 1/3 of the time it would take at the post office. These people wrote the book on customer service & treating your customers well. Bravo!!! And, thank you: finally, a business that really cares & takes pride in what they do.
The Worst customer service experience ever! sent a package thru this store and they lost it! Tracking info never moved in the UPS tracking page. Filed a claim for a $300+ Baby monitor and they offer to pay $100 even after I had submitted receipt for the new monitor I mailed thru them. I am in a loss of over $200+ because the package was lost in transit. Store did not disclaim any packing info including coverage of loss packages when box was shipped. Insurance was not even an option since they did not advise I needed any but i did declared what was in the package when billed. Even more so, they failed to include my complete contact information in the label they created. I had to followed up repletely as they never got back to me with status of package or claim. Will never use this location again. Sorry UPS you just lost a customer. If I could give 0 Stars will have done so. Just an overall frustrating experience.
I had 6 suits to return to amazon and had free returns. It listed on the return no packages or labels needed and ups would do all that. When I tried to return it to UPS the manager wanted to charge me to return everything. I wouldn’t pay because it’s supposed to be free returns. Why would I pay when amazon is already taking care of it? I didn’t even take my wallet in because I knew it should be free. Later I went back to the same ups and returned everything with no problem. That guy was very helpful which is the only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1.
Thankfully, some employees are actually kind. The owner of this store is not. I find it almost comical that my experience with him seems to be consistent across the other reviews. This guy is box-obsessed. It took a customer service call to Amazon and 30+ minutes I will never get back to get the store to return this. He is rude, uninformative, and condescending. He explained nothing and just walked away from me while I was asking him for clarification while on the phone with Amazon. Again, his most redeeming quality appears to be hiring people less obnoxious than he is. To the guy who helped me, thank you. To the owner, you my friend are a pretty horrible representative of the UPS store franchise. Do better next time please.
Was there last week. There was only one person working and the line was out the door. What should have taken a few minutes took over an hour. I packed my two amazon items in one box and the guy made me buy a second box. Come to find out this week he sent both items in the one box I had provided rendering the second box unused. So why did I have to buy that second box??
Went there this morning and waited until 9:10 for them to open. There still wasnt anyone in the store, so I thought maybe there hours were limited due to COVID. (The sign says they open at 9am.)I just called to ask what the weekdays hours were, and the boy that answered said 9-6:30. I told him I was there after 9 this morning and no one was there. His reply,, Well I dont know whats going on there, I got here at noon. Thanks. And then hung up on me. Maybe they were busy now, but that is NO reason to hang up on someone, and he didnt even offer an apology for wasting my time. Very rude and disrespectful boy!
Visited this store and the owner/ Operator, Peter, was actually pretty rude and withdrawn. My mother who was with me tried several times to polities the get his attention and ask a question and he never acknowledged or helped. As they do not have all packing supplies for purchase in the retail space. We needed a box and they were behind the counter. The line was almost going out the door before he decided to help other patrons and still would not look in our direction.The cashier was very polite and apologized, however, the owner should be able to be as polite as who he employs.
This is honestly one of the worst run and managed UPS Stores I have been to. They are chronically understaffed and routinely have lines of customers waiting. It shouldn’t take 10+ minutes to drop off an Amazon return when you already have a shipping label.The manager is very rude and short with customers, regularly barking orders at them as if they work for him.Also, the store has, on multiple occasions, not been open when it was supposed to be, even with their modified hours.I try to avoid this store whenever possible. If I were you, drive 5-10 minutes up York Road and go to the one in Timonium.

From the never moving,never ending line out the door,inadequate parking,filthy lobby,to the TWO overworked, middle aged employees, my experience there was completely miserable. When I finally reached the cashier I was told that he couldnt ship the item and that the post office would take care of me Hahahaha! Why didnt I think of that.
I waited in line for notary services in December at the Towson store. I mean a long line. When I made it up to the counter the designated notary asked me what services I need and I asked for an I-9 certification which is a simple form required by every employer in the United States where the notary reviews your original two pieces of original documentation to state they are original (to the best of their opinion.). Not only did I present an original stamped sealed birth certificate but also a drivers license that was Real ID Maryland compliant.Still..I was turned away as he crossly said he refused to provide the service because it was too risky for him to do those employment forms. Huh?? And in front of other customers which was inappropriate as well. There is no liability on a notary, Review solely rests with the company hiring the employee and any notary should know that. It is basically a good faith effort to identify me in person that I am a US citizen qualified to work.My question for the store is: why advertise notary services if your notary can pick or choose what they notarize based on irrational reasoning or who knows what? . Either your notary staff are competent, educated, respectful, courteous and authorized to provide the service to everyone or you should not advertise the service at all. I-9 is one of the most typical certification a person can ask for.
Do not use this place for Amazon returns. They wanted to charge me $5 to print the Amazon label. Other UPS stores do it for free. Unfriendly, horrible attitude.

This location can get pretty busy during peak hours after work. The wait time to stand in line will be long. There’s one or two staff members there depending on the day.
I am pleased with the service that I received at this location. However, as I was at the register, an employee with brown hair and moustache who was on the phone came to the register without wearing a mask. He was within a couple of feet from the employee who was helping me and myself. I pointed out that he wasnt wearing a mask, but he continued doing what he was doing without change.
Used them several times - including for fragile items. Always packed carefully and delivered on time. Very friendly and considerate.

I shipped a desktop computer to college for my son. The declared value of the computer was $1500. I paid in excess of $150 to ship it insured. The computer arrived damaged. I have photo proof of damage. UPS flat out denied the claim for damage. I contacted the franchise owner, who said he would get UPS to re-examine the claim. I have had no further communication from him despite several emails and going to the store to leave a message asking him to call me.

Please DO NOT OPEN A MAIL BOX HERE. They tamper with your mails, they consistently misplaced my mails and till now I have no idea where they kept all my incoming mails. They are very disorganized, rude and very incompetent. I paid $122 yet they did not even after more than a month act like a professional business that puts its customer first. Peter, who is the owner/manager that should place customers first and seek to resolve issues is so unhelpful and rude! I will be filing a claim against them in the coming days for refund of my money since they want to scam me of my money and not perform the service I paid for. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS UPS STORE. The Five star reviews are probably fake as I have not experienced such yet.Update: I have called several times to get this rectified but each time I call I am told Peter, the manager is not available and he just stepped out and will call me back and he has not. He is now avoiding my calls but has refused to refund my money so I can go else where with my business. I will update when this is resolved.
Ive been using this store as my go to for shipping and notary services since July 2020 and have been pleased at the courteous customer service and their speed of service as well. Im normally in and our under 5 min.
Over the past several years I have had to send various items to my son and his family in California, from artwork to kids toys to household goods and every time I went to this UPS store they made the transaction easy, efficient and painless and everything arrived in perfect condition. I highly recommend this team for all your shipping needs.

Do NOT use this UPS location. The employees here STEAL packages. I shipped a sealed box from here 06/20/20 and it mysteriously was never scanned. The staff has not been helpful with finding out what happened. The shoes inside were very valuable. I have been ignored, hung up on, and dismissed by everyone at this location. I had no choice but to refund the person who purchased the shoes and also get the police involved since no one has been allowing me to look at the security footage, I still have no idea where my package is two weeks later. Once again do not under any circumstances use this store. THE EMPLOYEES ARE STEALING.

This store can be pretty busy at times. Be wary of staff diverting you to other stores, telling you to come back after 2 hours (or whatever excuse they can make up) if you are returning equipment for corporate accounts such as Comcast/Verizon. Theyve done it to me a few times already. Apparently systems are faulty but another manager from a different store mentioned they probably bs so it wont hold up the line. (Usually I would go in when its not too busy to be considerate). I will not be returning though. 3 times in the space of a week is enough lol. 🙄
Came here to get my fingerprints done and the guy working made me do them by myself, never looked at my documents and watched me struggle for 30 mins.

I have been sending packages from the UPS store in Dulaney Valley shopping center for a very long time. They do an excellent job of packing and wrapping and are always polite and efficient
As a visually-impaired customer, these people have always been extremely helpful with every type of package, mailing and notary service. I have never found any employee working there who was anything but highly capable and very courteous. When you need to ship or mail something, you may as well choose a place where the service is good, because the prices are about the same everywhere.
It is now 9:00 AM and the store is not open, I’ve been here waiting since 8:30 and at least 8 people have walked up to the door to find out no one has opened the store yet. Good way to lose customers. If you have to mail something in the morning, go somewhere else.

I’ve always used this UPS store and always had a professional and positive experience. I was looking for a nearby notary and wasn’t sure this store had one. The answer wasn’t on the website so I started reading reviews I hopes a notary service was mentioned. The reviews are either very bad or very good. Fortunately, my experience was true to my past experiences of being excellent. Nick, Peter, and Matt (the notary) were wonderful. I hope anyone who doesn’t hold up the excellent reputation of these individuals is fired.

Around the holidays time I dropped a package for delivery, the package was scanned and I was given a receipt, however unfortunately I lost the receipt, and the package was never delivered to its destination, when I went back to check, they looked into the system and said they never received the package from me, I asked they check cameras as I provided the exact time and date I walked in the store but they refused. They couldn’t locate my package and told me there is nothing they can do about it, I understand this was a very busy time of the year, but still the way this was handled by the staff was very unprofessional and I felt i was being brushed off or making false claims. I will never go back to that store again

I had a package (bike) shipped to the store so I didnt have to stay home from work for delivery. I consulted this specific UPS store prior to doing this and was told there would be a $10 pickup fee. I had paid $10 previously for a different bike. When the bike arrived at UPS I then received a voicemail saying the bike was in and there would be a $10 pickup charge. Great. Except when I went to get the bike, they charged me $20!! It was because the package was big. I obviously complained, they admitted to telling me it was $10 but wouldnt adjust the price - I had to pay $20. This is terrible customer service and I wont be using UPS for this again.
DO NOT SHIP FROM HERE. The employees are HIGHLY disrespectful and do not care about resolving issues. They’ve stolen packages from my family and gave us a hard time when trying to resolve the issue. We’ve had to call the police more than twice, the corporate office and the owner has refused to resolve our issue in regards to the theft of our package. I usually visit the UPS in White Marsh but was in the Towson area. Had an Amazon return and cashier refused to provide me with a receipt, which was very weird. Usually I do. I didnt have energy going back & forth so I just left.

Always friendly, helpful staff. Much nicer experience than the UPS Store in the Rotunda. Only issue is the parking, which can sometimes be scarce, but if youre willing to walk more than thirty feet you shouldnt have any problems.

Returned some amazon items today, may 9th. The young guy helping me under his breath was speaking poorly with vulgarities about other customers, to another employee, when they werent sure where to place their drop offs. Unprofessional behavior and needs to be addressed. No one deserves to be talked to behind their back.
This is a super convenient location with quick full service and very friendly, knowledgeable staff. They are real problem solvers when it comes to packing & shipping options, as well as printing and finishing anything. Great having Everything Under One Roof!

Very Rude staff.... I go in here at least twice a month to mail packages out... All of a sudden today I am told I need to tape my own box shut before I come in or Ill be charged to tape a box shut ..... Wont be going here anymore!!! I have been to many UPS locations and this has never happened!
Horrible service they overcharge for anything and everything. They are the only store who charges to print a return label $5 for one piece of paper. They charge $12 for small boxes to ship STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY. Go to any other branch to save money.
I have used this store for YEARS.They are ALWAYS polite and helpful. I have shipped things successfully from this store to IRAQ, and to Italy last year without a hitch. Pam is my PERSONAL favorite, but everyone is great. Again, I have used this local since 2006, no problems!!!!
We had a tough task of returning four large mud tires. We had a tough time finding a box that fit and the two young men that worked at this location were incredibly helpful in making sure our tires got shipped. They have no idea how much they made our day. Thank you!!
Visited here on a humble simply looking to mail-back a package... I think I worked directly with the store owner but whomever was very helpful beyond the general scope of shipping a package. He gave me the best options to keep the contents of the package in tact. I can say that this day customer service was alive and well!

We have shipped a parcel. The shipment was insured for $1,500. The parcel was lost on January 27, 2011. The appropriate claim was issued. Since that time all our communications with this store could be best described as complete nightmare. The person in charge at this store advised us that the UPS is a big company and may or may not pay you. When? nobody knows. Being in logistics myself, I never saw such customer service. I have contacted UPS top management and explained them everything. Need to say, they were very cooperative and helpful. so, it is nothing wrong with UPS. It is all about this particular store. Beware!
The manager i think his name is Pete is awesome . Answered all my questions and shipped My tail lights to my client on time . Was very patient with me and energetic . This was my first package too and he made my experience very enjoyable ! Will be back if I have another repackage to ship !
Won items at a auction in Maryland to be shipped to Michigan. Lets just say they quoted me $78 and then billed me for $196.11 with my AAA discount. Could have combined items into less boxes, didnt hardly use any packing in the boxes that where packed, then when I confronted them about the situation they tried to pass the buck . I then called UPS corporate for assistance but of course they couldnt help. Please dont spend your money at this location.
I shipped some framed original art work and some framed photos that werent worth anything to anyone but me, all family heirlooms, near and dear to our family. The team at the UPS Store took extreme care in how the art work was packaged and were very friendly and sensitive to my concerns. The packages arrived cross country in perfect condition. I would recommend this company to anyone who has anything to ship, big or small, valuable or worthless. They will get it right.
I love it because its really close to work but the staff makes everything so easy! I had to return some items on a few different occasions before the holidays and I thought it would be a hassle. It wasnt. They were able to scan the bar codes from my phone, taped up the boxes, print the labels, etc. I love this place. They took care of everything so that I was in and out in 2 minutes. Thats unheard of for a parcel service in the middle of Towson the week before Christmas, but they made it happen. Twice. Great job.
I never write reviews but I feel compelled to do so. The sevice was very fast and efficient! The store was very neat and clean. I wish I got the employees name who helped me. The receipt has his initials as RC. He was very nice fast and knowledgeable and I feel he went above and beyond with his service.
Pack it yourself or pay dearly. I needed to return an item for which I didnt have a box. I figured it would be simple to purchase one from a store that specializes in shipping. Well, after making a few simple modifications to a box, they charged me over $18 for custom packing - not including shipping. A warning would have been nice.

This doesnt even deserve one star.They constantly have Poor Service.On January 2nd The line went out the door . I was waiting for 30 minutes. There was only 1 person helping customers. I was not lucky enough to have printed labels.On December 31st They closed the store 5 hours early. They did not post the early closing. There was a parking lot full of people trying to go to the store.On December 16th, the lines were out the doors again. I waited 15 minutes before they told people whomever had printed labels could leave their packages at the counter. The line was still out the door after I left. I was lucky to have a label.I will never return to this store. Worth it to spend more in time & gas to drive to another store.
I shipped 9 packages from this location to myself in California because I was moving. 2 boxes were lost and 1 damaged. UPS policy is to share all information from the store in which it was shipped then communicate it to the customer. It has been 2 months and I still have yet to receive any information from this store and have lost an esitatmeted $1,100 in replaceable items and several personal items. I would highly recommend another location or even FedEx or USPS. STAY AWAY!

The store is in an excellent location but customer service is the WORST!! The owner is extremely nasty! I shipped a package and asked if I could finish putting the label on as the cashier was saying she could take it for me. I explained that I was trying to put the label over top my address but she insisted she would take care of it. Within a few days, the package was returned to me and I noticed the cashier did not keep her word about covering my address up. When I returned to the store, the owner said they were doing me a favor by mailing the package. He tossed it at the counter and suggested I take it elsewhere since I didnt appreciate their delivery attempt. If you voted for Donald Trump, you will fit in just fine with this guy.
Every time I get a package held up at this location, I am told that my package was not yet delivered when I come to pick it up, despite the tracking number stating it’s ready for pickup.After showing them that the information they are providing me is completely inaccurate, they go to recheck and, surprisingly, they find the package.This has happened multiple times, and now I just want to avoid this location at all costs. The lady employee is either careless or a liar.
I come to this store infrequently for shipping stuff out or dropping off. Everytime I come I get expedited service. The manager is always prompt and courteous. I would prefer no other store.Notary is quick too! :D

The associates STEAL valuable packages especially if you have them insured because they figure UPS will just pay the customers back anyway smh and the management is extremely unprofessional. No customer service at all. Please, for God’s sake if you’re sending anything of importance or value do not go to this store! I have gotten this information from two former associates that worked in that store and happily admitted to stealing packages and selling the contents on eBay smh.

While they were certainly polite, their fees are outrageous. They wanted over a hundred dollars to package and mail a two pound musical instrument. It cost me less than thirty dollars in freight charges to receive it. Theyre out of their minds.

I have been in to this location several times, and each time I walk away having had a bad customer experience. The fees are too high above and beyond what UPS is actually charging...however I am paying for convenience so I can get past that. What I cant get past is that if Im paying 20-25% over actual cost then I shouldnt be treated rudely each time I go in. Poor poor service. Id advise to drive a bit further and not give this store your business.
