I started coming here because I had an emergency with my glasses and they fixed them same day without charging me. My most recent actual appointment went very smoothly, they explained all out-of-pocket costs so there were no surprises, the optometrist and technical staff were all very pleasant to work with. They are booking out about a month like most places nowadays, but I think it was worth the wait!
Went there first time today and they are so pushy to sell you glasses and new imaging service. Doctor was pushing me to see the glasses or schedule an appointment if I do g have time today 3-4 times then receptionist tried to push it so hard another 3-4 times even though I though my daughter doesn’t need glasses and I only need reading glasses that can be picked up over the counter. I do not like pushy sales people. Family optometry and Dr. Shaily is the best. She is very friendly and so is the staff and not pushy at all. Definitely going back to her.
Ive been a patient here since I moved to Tracy in 2014. Every year since then Ive ordered contacts through them using the Lensferry service. EVERY year its a battle to get the contacts ordered and the service set up. Finally this year it was brought to my attention after multiple phone calls between this office and Lensferry, that monthly payments are no longer an option. My problem is, when I was at the office I was told monthly payments were no problem, but now after weeks of delays, its not an option? What a waste of time. Im so tired of dealing with this offices lobbing of problems over the fence for someone else to deal with and taking my business else where. If you were smart, youd do the same.
We were referred to use Tracy optometry by my sons school. They have a very large clean show room with plenty of staff. They have a huge selection of frames and in many different brands. We were immediately helped to check in when we walked through the door. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I believe they get pretty booked up but they were still able to squeeze us in to an appointment only 5 days out. The dr. was fast and efficient and be made some great recommendations for the future. Toni helped us select our frames, she was really nice, patient and informed us of warranty options and time frames. I would recommend using Tracy optometry for all optometry care for all ages.
Worst customer service, waited or about 40 min to pick up glasses and left without them. 2 at they front desk and 3 in the back where they dispense the glasses just to heard them laughing and on their phones. Being going here for years but now it’s time to find a new place
Ive been going here for several years, doctor Tim NG is great.I understand they are trying to follow covid restrictions but not being able to walk and pick out what glasses you want to try is a bit extreme specially when a mask is on at all times. Basically they pick out a number of glasses for you and you make your selection from whatever they bring out to you. When you are spending over $500 the least I would like to do is be able to pick out my own glasses. I will not return until they change their procedures. We have also cancelled appointments for other family members and will be visiting a different doctor.I would suggest walking with a person from the office (if they dont want us to touch everything) and pointing which glasses we would like to try on. Another suggestion would be to give patients hand sanitizer so they can pick out what they want to try on and put them on a tray with the help of specialist.
Tracy Optometry Customer Service is the worst of them all. They treat you like your a problem then a customer. Tried to scheduled an appointment 3 times unsuccessfully. They never call you back when you leave a message and when I did talk to them on the phone, I was told they would call me back???? Lost my business for sure!!
The doctors are great, no compliant there. However, the front desk needs some work. I went in a few weeks ago to pick up a contact prescription but couldnt. Come to find out they were supposed to give me trials (since I have two different prescriptions) at my appointment back in February, but never did. The lady at the front desk order them for me, said I should expect them in 3-5 business days and was told I would receive a call when they came in. Mind you, they WERE NOT on back order. Waited the 5 business days, called and they hadnt come in. Called back about a week later, only the left eye contact. Called Monday, 9/14, later in the after noon, the other trial came but hadnt received a call that it was in. Please just follow through with calling when prescriptions come in and also notifying patients when something occurs with their order.
Had an appoint and waited for 20 minutes then they wouldnt see me because I cant cover my nose with a mask due to medical reason made me wait outside in the cold to bring me my classes. Very rude.
I have been wearing glasses for over 40 years. I have also used many many different optometrist . The person who works here named Susan is the best. She is not not patient, kind etc etc, but also knows everything very well regarding select the right lenses and fit frame. She takes time to consider all different situations of my eyes and living environment and personal habits etc etc. And she gives very practical advice. The glasses I got from her is the best pair so far!! Thank you so very much Susan!!
Overall, the best optometry place in Tracy
Just go in to see the Eye Doctor there great, other than that forget about buying glasses there, over priced they try to sell you up if you have insurance, I already knew this because Ive been going for years, this time I just got the basics, what the doctor wanted me to have for my eyes, $200+ later got a phone call 3 weeks later glasses are here so I had a appointment for Saturday at 10 waited in the lobby for over 30 minutes to find out my glasses are not even there, the staff is a joke, girl behind the counter didnt care shes to busy drinking her Big Gulp, staff is just not professional might as well be running a ice cream shop in the front. Blew my Saturday because I came from out of town.
Bad bad customer service they were rude when i got my glasses and im talking about the receptionist and people who work in the lobby not the doctors . Let me make that clear . Its obvious they havent had proper training i work customer service and im a wireless store manager these people working here are not trained properly and are rude they were rude to me i gave the benefit of the doubt maybe they had a bad day so i let it go, i wanted my bf to get in there for a apt as a new customer he informs me they call him at work and he politely ask them if he can return the call and the lady was snobby and rude about it just because your at work doing call backs doesnt mean customer arent busy . One thing is being rude to me but now you want to be rude to my bf thats where you cross the line . Ill be cancelling my apt and talking to the office manager . Hopefully they can get it together these girls are not properly trained and they will try and upsale you luckily im in sales so that doesnt work on me if they knew anything about customer service i wouldnt be typing this review long story short dont do it, book else where trust me guys this place is no good
Service isn’t bad but they overcharge everything my benefits cover contacts and $150 towards glasses frames yet I paid $500 for contacts and they used my $150 towards that? Should went to Walmart or Costco honestly but the people are friendly and cool
I lived in Tracy for 10 years, I moved 3 years ago but still go back because the staff is fantastic. Susan is the best, you can never go wrong w/her if. She is honest & goes above & beyond to help you make good decisions that will make you happier in the end!
I have been going to Tracy optometry for over 5 years now .NOT anymore someone came up with the bright idea to have you fill out a online form to set up an appointment ... select 3 times and days for appointment . Then site days you dont have an appointment until some one contacts. Which turns out to be an email only with a random appointment day and time you didnt come close to selecting online...Why even have the online choice? Is it just a trick to get someone to fill out a form which only really infuriates someone because the whole process was just a waste of time to begin with...... services in side great appointment process stinks
This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at an optometrist office. First off, they messed up my appointment and set it up at their “sister” location, and then when I was getting ready to see the doctor, the front desk didn’t even notify him when I was waiting for him, I waited two hours to see him and it was only for a few short minutes. This is the worst optometrist office ever. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Avoid coming here.
The best eye group around. Staff and doctors are the best. Nice selection of glasses if you need them. Many new testing machines, makes visit much nicer and answer any questions you have. Ive been here for 8 years.
Great service! They do all that they can to make sure you get the best. The best service, best glasses, best all around experience. First optometrist in the Central Valley weve found that works for our whole family.
Absolutely fraudulent business. Went in with insurance and still spent 500 dollars somehow. I was new to the coverage and after checking at a later point and after reviewing the insurance policies and receipt this place had ripped me off. This place will upsell you like crazy, not express what you will be charged for and further more their recipes take a PhD to decipher. I cant complain about the exam part that was just fine. But if money is a factor and youre not expert on the system do not go here.
Everything moved very smooth for my visit. Test were done and right in to wait for the doctor who was in to see me within 5 minutes. Dr. Yee does a great job at explaining what is going on and answered my question so I could understand. The staff who help order frames and lenses could have a better system in calculating costs, but everything went well for me. I will definitely recommend this office to others.
This is the only optometry office I have been to since my first ever eye appointment about 16yrs ago or so. The Dr is great and so is the assistant, but the customer service employees when it comes down to choosing your frames and picking them up is not great at all. The color of the frame I wanted was not there to view in their display but they were able to find a color I wanted online, so we went with that pair (1 solid color), when the pair came in it was a different colors (the front of the frame 1 color, the side different) than what I ordered and what I was told and shown that day, since this happened I asked what we could do about it the only thing that could be done was to order the same pair in a different color so they ordered me an all black pair, I was told it would take 1 week if the frame was in Stock and 1 month for the frame if was on back order, a month and a half went by still no call so I decided to call them and was told the frame has been there. When I asked why I hadnt been called she didnt answer and just said well its here now, which is not a great answer. For some reason everytime I have been there or have called the manager is not there.
Hello... What do I think about this place? I agree with the statement of some Clients... the stuff NEEDs people Skills Training, because they are rude, impatient and rude...did I mention that they are rude? Im sorry... they are rude. Ive had issues with them a couple of times, they just dont even try to help you out, rather they will charge you everything and more, 🤷🏻♀️
I have been a patient of the Tracy Optometry Group for over a decade. I have always had an excellent experience with this office. They are knowledgeable about how to coordinate benefits from multiple insurance companies. They are friendly and courteous.
My family absolutely love them!! Very nice, helpful, clean and friendly!!! I moved from Tracy and I still drive back just for them!! Very kid friendly
The location is nice, the office is clean and merchandise is presented well.Definitely misses the mark on customer service. First visit went fine, they accidentally broke my frame when fitting it, no big deal. Waited a week or so for the new frame to come in. I work Monday through Friday so Ive only been able to go on Saturday.I call to see if they are open, they say yes, I get there and they are closed. Believe it or not this happened for about 5 Saturdays. No apology from the staff, they wasted my time and the worst part was they didnt seem to care that they were making me waste my time and money (I had to drive from out of town)Will be going to Costco from now on, at least they wont monopolize my time.
Love this office! Every year my husband and I see Dr. Moline followed by ordering eyeglasses from Barbara. The entire staff is professional, friendly and really know what they are doing. Always a great experience.
The customer service is lacking greatly here! Ive been a long time customer and as their business griws, they seem to not have that small business customer service they once did. I tried to make an appropriate for new frames and lenses for my son and their site stated error both times. It was after hours when I was attempting to schedule online so I decided to walk in today after pulling my son out of ax hooligans early to do so since he scratched his lenses the day before playing baseball. I signed in upon arrival and the front desk receptionist was a snob and asked if I had an appointment. I explained to her my aforementioned statement and she told me she was unsure they could see us today. I pointed out her sign said walk ins welcome and explained our situation and told her I had his prescription already from his Kaiser eye doctor and all we needed was new glasses ordered. After 30 minutes of waiting and her telling me shell see if she can get us in, I decided to leave and will not be back to be shunned by very ungrateful staff. Its sad as the disloyalty to those who have patronized here for awhile are not treated as a returning customer. Its unfortunate, because I really liked this place and drive from another city to shop at this store, but Ill be looking for something within my city limits from now on. Theres too many other places to shop then to be treated like youre at the DMV at the optometrist.
Great office, experienced Doctors and staff. State of the art equipment. Highly recommend.
So friendly and helpful, best place to go to for glasses. Great with kids, highly recommend!
Great office. They just need a person knowledgable about the billing. The young lady there was close to really over charging me.
Thats all I can say is thank you so much! Everyone was awesome!!
I had an appointment scheduled at the tracy optometry group today at 10am. As soon as i came in the lack of customer service and attention were obviouse. The secretary told me their was a problem with my insurance wich i was never informed when i made my appt. and they tried to excuse themselves by saying they had tried to contact me but my service was off (a complete lie). She didnt want to look up my insurance on the computer because she was obvously being lazy. I explain that my house was rite around the corner if i could walk there and back less than 10min id have the info. She didnt even try to make an acception of course her glasses arent the ones broken like mines so she had no concern. She tried making me a new appt. Until next month but since my situation is urgent i told her ill be going to a different place. Wont be coming back here horrible staff.
I went in and was told my cost was $20 but might be $90 and they would let me know the next day. They never called. They called me today and asked me to pick up my glasses and no charge. I came in and they wanted $197!!Last year and the year before I hd the same type of problems.I will no longer do business with these folks
