This shop is organized very well! They have a great variety of raw and polished rocks/minerals. Tons to see and read about as they have little cards explaining healing properties of each rock/mineral. They sell tons of other cool things like books, tarot cards, candles, incense, etc. I bought goat milk soap that was apparently made at a nearby Traverse City farm with essential oils from the shop itself. Super neat. The pricing was pretty normal for that area. The service was warm and welcoming. I will be back!

Customer service is excellent. An amazing array of choices of stones, metaphysical books, candles, incense, essential oils, etc.My only disappointment (no stars removed because ultimately its just a perk) is that weve spent a lot of money here ($200+) in the last year and my most recent visit was the first time I was asked about having a membership or perk card with them (I didnt). Weve always had easy chats with the staff around checkout time so Im guessing they just forgot.Id still choose shop here regardless of a special card.

Lots of great treasures in here! Staff members were friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of tumbled and raw rocks and gemstones at a fair price. Many great books on all kinds of topics, tarot decks, runes, jewelry, incense, oils.. the list goes on and on!

Friendly and helpful staff also very relaxing. They have so many different selections for books, tarot cards, crystals/stones, candles and more. If you havent been there it is definitely a place to visit.

They had a tarot section, and thus my wife could not walk out without spending at least three digits. Plenty of gemstones. Obsidian mirror? More dear than my bank balance.

This store was beautiful!!! The scent of incenses bring you in the door and all the healing crystals trap you in. All the books they have will keep you there for hours and with how helpful the staff is you just might stay that long. I loved it and can not wait to go back.

So Im obsessed with this place! They have amazing selection of crystals, both in jewelry form or just in their raw beautiful rock form. We also have a great selection of incense and essential oils. As well as, self-help and a magical book selection. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! I have even had a session with the owner and he is incredible! And remember if you come here consistently to get a karma card! You earn money to spend later! Love love love this place!

Allie is an amazing Medical Massage Therapist! I had a rotator cuff repair surgery, and Allie is using your knowledge to help with my healing. Shes very professional and knowledgeable in her field of practice. Higher Self on a whole has such a welcoming atmosphere and I feel like my relaxation starts the moment I walk in the door.

This place right here is an experience you cant afford to miss out on, it would be equivalent to never stopping to smell the roses. Everything from readings to Riki. Ive never experienced the world lifting off my shoulders walking into a building such as Higher Self. You can hear it all you want, its not the same as walking in and knowing.

I just took the Summoning Your Personal Powers class and IT WAS AMAZING!! I suggest taking any of their classes. I will be taking the energy class in April. The personal journey that Jeff helps you take was an awesome experience. I am a very spiritual person and this was perfect to help guide me in the right direction. I love this store I could be there everyday all day long and never get enough. Jo and Jeff the owners are always in the shop and are very helpful and welcoming and are awesome. They answer any questions you have and this store is a JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE! The staff is AMAZING all of them have their own Nitches and are great at what they do. I could shop there everyday and still find something new. You have to have to, check out this shop. If you are more of a naturalist/natural path this is the go to spot. You can make some of your own tea find a good read and try some of their products out before you buy them. I am smitten as a kitten with this store!!! Just step in side and you will find out why!!!

The staff here are enlightening and more than willing to share their personal fulfillment in working there and enthusiasm for the items and services provided by Higher Self. One worker, I think, is a clairvoyant? That was a fascinating shopping experience. Another worker helped me pick out about 20 individual crystals with the enthusiasm of a Disney Parks & Resorts employee. Ive seen the same crystals for less at other stores nearby, but the selection and organization of crystals (and essential oils) here is hard to resist even despite the prices.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was open and hospitable. Had a reading done & was amazed at the energy in the room. I would defiantly visit again.

My experience with this store was ridiculously amazing for me and my friend. The first time we both had ever stepped into a crystal shop, and it was perfect. One thing thats great about this metaphysical bookstore is that you dont walk in to a cloud of overwhelming incense!They have a great selection of crystals and a decent number of herbs. They could use more books, though. They do have readers and even a Reiki share! The people were really nice and knowledgeable as well.

There is convenient parking on the street and a parking ramp directly across the street. This is my favorite store in Traverse City.
