I walked out! The woman behind the counter that was making the food had on plastic gloves. Thats good, but she went to the front counter, grabbed her cell phone and used it with her plastic gloves on. When she was finished with her phone she walked right back over to making food. She never changed her plastic gloves. I stood in line for 15 minutes and was next to order when this happened. I turned right around and walked out. That was gross enough but what else are they forgetting to do or not do if something like this happened out front!?

Big fans! Weve been here 3 times now and the quality is consistent. We love that we can bring the dog and sit outside, but the atmosphere inside seems cool too. The Ave Maria and the Baca House are our faves, but everything weve tried has been tasty. Really great flavor combos. Prices are decent. A little higher than what were generally used to, but in line with Trinidad as a whole so cant complain!

This is a cozy little restaurant on Main Street that is definitely worth the stop! The employees are very personable, the chicken salad on a homemade croissant is to die for and the place is very clean. They only take cash, though, so be prepared for that. We will definitely keep this spot on our radar for future trips through Trinidad.

First fresh food that i had in a while while i was on a road trip, and was not disappointed at all! got the mediterranean open faced sandwich with chicken, the worker at the register was mindful of my food allergies and pretty helpful. the interior and exterior are very welcoming, and i would recommend stopping through if you’re in the area for some delicious food!

I love their chicken salad sandwiches and salads. This time I treated my daughter-in-law and she loved it. She had the beef sandwich with spices, I forget the name. Anyway, we will be back to eat there again!

Awesome place we discovered in Trinidad, CO.The guy there is a great barista, if you like cereal while reading a good book this is your place, with a wide array of books and comics, this is the go to place.

Awesome local place thats been around for a bit. I got a sandwich that was recommended by a staff member that came with a spring salad and balsamic vingarette. Clean, good atmosphere, and friendly staff. Will definitely go again.

My wife and I had wanted to visit this restaurant on a previous trip to Trinidad but unfortunately it was closed. So when we saw it open this time we were delighted. My open faced Mediterranean sandwich was delicious as was my wife’s Country Salad.

Passing through got a much needed coffee. The cafe was nice and quaint.

Great place for a date. The food was very good and the prices were on point. Coffee was also great, I could actually taste the espresso in my coffee unlike many other coffee joints that just serve you syrup. Wonderful service, would come here again.

We stopped in to grab a bite and coffee on our long drive home. The sandwiches were delicious and flavorful, and the coffee was good. We did get iced beverages, and my only critique would be that I wish the caramel had been mixed a little better into the drink. But it was still very tasty! The service was polite, and the establishment clean. Its a beautiful interior and we enjoyed our time there and our food!

Id normally give it a five-star but the worker gave us the wrong order! We would had returned it, but we had already driven away with it. To be fair to her, she was the only employee working that day. She was taking orders, running the cashier, cooking the food and taking orders to the people outside. She didnt even have time to clean the tables!

The whole menu is amazing. Every dish has complex flavors that really play on each other perfectly. Presentation is always gorgeous, as well as the decor and atmosphere that give of a relaxing vibe. Ive also always had really great service. Employees are friendly and attentive, and the food always arrives quite quickly. Great spot for a lunch out with friends and plenty of options to satisfy everyone, from sandwiches and salads to breakfast to light lunch options. I recommend the cattle baron salad. Its refreshing yet hearty, and I can never get enough of it. Im looking forward to trying their egg puffs on my next visit. They also have GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS!!! If the owners happen to see this the only thing I would change is possibly a better selection of cold drinks.

The selection of sandwiches and salads are well thought out and flavorful. Even through the COVID19 take out food only period, the quality of the food has been exceptional.Well done! Not that impressed... most of the tables were dirty, my espresso wasn’t very good, pretty watered down and wasn’t hot at all. Most of the food wasn’t available either because they were out or stopped serving at 10... won’t be back

What a great salad and sandwich spot! My wife had the Mediterranean and I had the Miner sandwich...driving between Denver and Amarillo...it’s hard to imagine a better place for lunch.

Stopped in for the delicious Mediterranean open face hot sandwich! So Good i ate it before i took a photo! And the drip coffee was even super delish! Very impressed with quality and flavors of the food! 2 young Ladies holding the fort were very nice and food came out almost within seconds. 5star!

When driving back from Texas, we always make it a priority to stop at the Cafe when passing through Trinidad. It has never let us down and has a great menu of tasty comfort foods along with plenty of healthy options. The soups are always delicious and the food has been consistently great.The restaurant is right in the heart of Trinidad on Main St in a very cool older building, similar to many historic/older buildings youll find here. Definitely make a stop here and Im sure you wont be disappointed!

Menu is limited, but the food was decent and reasonably priced. Very limited. Cant get a cup of black coffee and only three sandwiches were on the menu. During the course of my meal the owner/manager went from wearing a mask (to protect patrons from covid) with her nose exposed to wearing it around her chin to not wearing one at all. The other employees were wearing their masks properly so I know the knowledge is there but apparently the desire to keep customers safe is not. Makes me question the food safety practices in the closed kitchen. The tomato basil soup is Imagine brand (organic), which is good, but nothing special. The employees were friendly. Would give 3 or 4 stars but for the lack of food safety in covid times.

Came in for breakfast during a snow storm and they didnt have eggs but their sandwiches were delicious and so was the cake. Coffee was good too.

I had the pleasure of visiting here and had a great visitand the food was excellent. The prices were reasonable considering the historical building and supporting a local business. I take umbridge to the previous reviewers diatribe. I just cant understand people like that.I would go out of my way to support a local business ESPECIALLY now.Visit this wonderful spot.

As a disabled person, I dont drive. They are willing to separate dressing and such for me till I get home so I can reassemble. Staff always friendly, patient with me 💞. Let me rest to sit if I need to. That means sooooo much. Cant thank you all soooooooo much!!!! Miss you all!!!

On the way to Denver and stopped for lunch. Easy to find and the food and service were fantastic. Had the “Baca” sandwich and it was delicious. Ciabatta bread was super fresh, warm and tasty. Meat and cheese were flavorful and greens were the perfect accompaniment. Highly recommend this great restaurant

You close at 4. Sita restaurant that you suggest i go instead, doesnt do dine in. Guess last time. I dont care for energyTues -Exactly what I needed for hot day shopping. Surprisingly good and fresh lunch in Trinidad. Nice selections of sandwiches and salads in a historic building. Theyve also got espresso drinks and some homemade desserts. A good place for a pit stop if youre looking for a decent lunch on this lonely stretch of I-25.

Very friendly staff, very good food. I really recommend to eat there. Also Im gluten free and they have bread and they make me very nice sandwich. Inside is very nice and restrooms very clean. If you want to stop by they also have very good coffee.

Twice now weve made special trips into Trinidad off the highway to eat here. Both times Google shows the restaurant as open. Both times it wasnt. Super frustrating

I just went here for my first time since moving to Trinidad. I had the Santa Fe Trail Wrap and it was very tasty. The dipping sauce was mildly spicy but full o flavor. It only took a few minutes to be made and boxed up for me to take to my office. It was just over $7 so not something Id get everyday but every once and again Id sure have it again.

There is nothing negative I can say about this place! The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. I always have a hard time deciding what to order because everything on the menu sounds so good!

Service was the worst Ive ever had. Cynthia helped us and was extremely rude, I ordered a cappuccino and she didnt say anthing so when I asked if they had different flavors she replied with theyre over there pointing to a bunch of bottles behind her. I couldnt see them so I just guessed a flavor hoping they had one. She handed our change back from 100 bill instead of counting it out. Being in customer service/sales my whole life I was very offended. Probably wont ever come back. Still waiting for my lemons I asked for twice. Finished my food hasnt checked on us once and theyre not busy maybe 2 other tables here. Had to ask the other girl for a to go cup. Second time this has happened. Same place, same girl. My mother and I are both uncomfortable came for a nice lunch and its awful.

Very yummy, we stopped here on our trip from Denver to Phoenix. Very kind gals, I had a delicious sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup. Kiddos got a chicken quesadilla on a whole wheat tortilla. Great atmosphere, was a good place to stop and stretch our legs and get something healthy to eat on our trip.
