The employee was nice and friendly. The rest of the experience sucked. We bought apples and 2 pieces of candy. It was nearly 30 dollars. The apples were both subpar. One of them tasted like fridge, and neither were worth the price. The candy was okay at best. The white chocolate peanut butter cup had low quality peanut butter and the ratio of peanut butter to white chocolate was terrible. We wont be back. ☹️

Bought a Carmel apple. Took it home to enjoy. When I cut it open, it was rotten. I contacted the company. I was told someone would reach out regarding my issue. Days passed, no call. I called the number that called me, and again was told someone would call me back. No one ever called I just thank God I didn’t bite into that apple. They are selling bad apples at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Troutdale.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I had the most horrendous experience here today. I bought three pieces of candy. 1 m&m pretzel, 1 peanut butter cup and 1 chocolate covered marshmallow. The total was $17.80 which I thought was a little spendy, but what the heck, it was a treat for my family. I paid, the girl folded the bag to seal it and I picked up the bag at the fold only to see she folded the bottom instead of the top. All the items fell on the floor. The other girl working said, no problem, we will replace those. Cool! We cleaned the mess on the floor (with no offer of help or even a broom from staff....) Then it turned into awkward waiting for the manager who said the items would indeed not be replaced. But we could buy the same items again at cost (about another $9).....okay so $27 for THREE pieces of candy. I declined and was very irritated as this was all caused by an employee error and the fact that we were told it would be replaced. So to cover this again. Spent 17.80 on 3 pieces of candy and left with nothing after cleaning the mess ourselves due to an employee error. Surely a corporation that throws away the old candy would surely be fine replacing 3 items. Nope. When I called to speak with the manager again he said I yelled at them and then slammed the door (both blatant lies) and he was very argumentative, condescending and flat out rude. There was zero effort to make things right. I am in shock over how poorly this situation was handled. I used to love this company but after this experience I will never set foot here again. If this is how you treat loyal customers, I wish you luck in staying in business. I have been in contact with corporate and will happily change my review if the situation is rectified.EDITED TO ADD. We never heard back from corporate. What a joke. Zero stars. Dont waste your money on such a terrible company.

Amazing chocolate confections and wonderful staff.

This place WAS awesome previously, but apparently all the awesome employees are gone now. They HAD made us excellent custom cakes in the past, but absolutely screwed up the cake we picked up today because no one knew what to do.

This business is arguably a scam (or so poorly managed that it may as well be). Prices are listed for packaged products but not for the unpackaged items behind the glass. If you ask for one or more of the unpackaged items, the girl behind the counter will weigh them and then quote you an absurd price ($17.50 for three pieces of candy that my partner requested). My partner was in a mood such that she went ahead with the order. The girl behind the counter placed the three candies in a sack and then, it appears, folded the wrong end of the sack, so that, when my partner picked the sack up from the folded end, the candies fell out onto the floor. We picked up the mess (without the offer of a broom from the employees behind the counter, who has no other customers to serve, mind you), having been told by the girl behind the counter that she would replace the three pieces (which would make sense as the candies in the case were somewhat perishable and would hence likely be thrown out anyway at some point, given the understandable lack of customers). After some minutes, the manager came out and informed us that we could have three replacements at cost, which he claimed was another $10. We left and will not return. I do not expect this location to remain in business for much longer.

It was fun to take my grandson with me he had a ball about all the choices he had with alll the Carmel apples he could choose from.

THE CHOCOLATE STUFF IS DELICIOUS!!! WELL, IT WAS... CAUSE ITS ALL GONE!! I NEED MORE.

The new owner failed to pay their employees twice & is now blocking employees from their Facebook page in order to silence them. They have turned off Fb reviews in order to avoid responsibility.Incredibly disappointed by this conduct, since this has been such a nostalgic place for me, I loved the seasonal caramel apples. Wonderful service from the employees and amazing quality of sweets, but a horrible owner. Unfortunately, I will no longer vote with my dollar here until they publicly apologize and correct this abuse of power.

The selection and quality of chocolates and chocolate-covered apples in this place is awesome!Im a fairly picky eater, and while I love chocolate-covered caramel apples, I dont like all the other stuff (e.g., coconut, peanut butter, M&Ms, etc.) that is often piled on them. Well, Rocky Mountain has something called a Saturn Apple that has only the caramel, fondant, and chocolate that I want, and they are delicious!Its so good, in fact, I stop in at least once or twice a month after a motorcycle ride to get one of those scrumptious things! Yum!

Great lil candy store

This place as been here for as long as I can remember. The quality is just as high as it always has been. They have delicious beverages and ice cream. Their caramel apples are fantastic. Of course, the chocolates here are delicious and they have a great variety. You can buy preboxed chocolate for chocolate fresh out of the case. The staff is super friendly. You can tell that they love working there. Definitely swing by if you have the chance.

Wonderful Chocolate, and amazing variety of caramel applies. The Saturn Apple is my favorite., But there are many other choices. Even has white chocolate dipped dog bones for out canine friends.

I came in yesterday right at opening specifically for the chocolate dipped red vines, I was happy they had some, but a couple of red vines on the bottom looked really fresh, & the others looked like they had rice crispies in them, I asked the person working, and she stated, no they dont have rice crispies, they just look that way because of the sun coming in the window, I didnt buy any, as I still wasnt sold on thwm, they looked like theyd been sitting thete for a week at least, she never offered to make any, as I spendlt nearly $60 on chocolates & avalanches, & even a sliced carmel apple.. Im not aure if ill come back here, i might just have to drive ti Woodburn instead...

Yep its exactly how it sounds in the name a factory that produces chocolate. Dont think youre going to walk in and get the factory price tho its still pretty expensive but oh my yumminess is it ever good. Calling all chocoholics!

I got a carmel apple and the chocolate was good. But, the apple itself was dry and not crisp. When I went back in and asked about the apples. The lady working the store asked what color the stick was. She continues to tell me those were made over a week and a half ago. When I asked her to replace my apple with a fresh one. She said no that they werent moldy or expired. I am very dissatisfied and frustrated. I will never come back here again. And I was very fruatrated when there wasnt anyone else in the store to talk to besides the overly friendly associate. I wasted my money and Im frustrated with the poor customer service to resolve my problem. Especially, when I had the entire bad apple for an entire 5 mins while I sat outside and ate my over priced ice cream cone.

This place is expensive, but the quality of chocolate is great! Victoria was extremely helpful in helping me find the Chocolate Covered gummi bears for my girlfriend. Now Im out of the dog house!

I worked here in 2018, it was my very first job as a high school student. Everyone who worked here was awesome and friendly and hardworking, but the owners are the worst bosses Ive ever had. They had no respect for the work I put in, as I would need to stay late since theyd have me open and close the store by myself, with no breaks. As a kid, I didnt know any better, thought that this treatment was normal, and now I see that they took advantage of my inexperience. I was hired as a part time employee but ended up working FULL time without the benefits. They take advantage and blame all of their employees for any shortcomings despite the fact that they should be blaming themselves for their abhorrent treatment. I hope that they wake up and treat the people keeping their store running with dignity in the future.
