I brought my truck in first thing in the morning around 8am to have them quote the driver’s side door bracket that had previously broken as well as look at a squeak noise I noticed in the exhaust. He told me they would have an estimate within a half hour so I popped across the street to a coffee and bagel shop and approximately 20 minutes later he called me and told me he would have the part from gm the same day and have the truck fixed by 230pm for way cheaper than the dealership tried to scam me on. By 2pm he had called and said the truck was all done and ready. They also nearly eliminated the squeak noise with some lubricant.My first experience there was a good one and it seems like an honest straight forward shop. I will be a returning customer.

A great auto shop that does great work. Tim and Joe are honest, direct and timely. The mechanics fix it right the first time. Ive been going here for a long time for any work that I cant do myself and I wouldnt trust my cars to anyone else. I cant say enough about how well theyve treated me and my cars over the years.

We took our older car in for repair and found out it needed a transmission replacement. Because it was older it took a lot of work to find us a replacement. We got our car back and it runs great. The service and pricing was exceptional. We highly recommend Automotive Authority.

Tim and his team did a great job on my oil change. It was a relief knowing that the professionals were looking at my car as a whole and not just trying to get through as many oil changes as they could. They even let my therapy dog in training stop in to say hello, and she gives Tim two paws up!

Took my car in because the check engine came on and didnt go out. This was about a week after they replaced 2 sensors after diagnosing another check engine light issue which was causing the engine to stall at idle. After that it ran fine. I had it detailed; it looked good and ran fine. Then the next day - check engine light came on solid. So-o-o back to Automotive Authority where they found a small hose had come unplugged and was tucked away. Perhaps done when engine was detailed and just not plugged back in.Problem found and fixed and I was out the door with no impact on my wallet.Good people and good service for over 20 years and a dozen cars; my family and I have always been treated well.

By appointment only. Convenient hours as they are open after 6, but they usually give me the car next day. A little pricey I guess, but good work.

I had a somewhat urgent but quick fix (my heat shield between the muffler and gas tank was coming loose, I couldnt get under the car enough to secure it well or take it off myself) and I called at least 8 other shops in the area, all of which were packed and unable to help. Automotive Authority was also extremely busy but they were able to get me fixed just before they closed. The guy working there was extremely helpful, you could tell that they have honest people here. I will be sure to return next time I need some help!

I had a great experience at AA. One of the most convenient places if you work longer days or work weekends as they are open late at night and will be sure to give you top quality service. I happen to get into the office at a very early time and typically do not leave until after 7pm so it is most convenient for me to drop my car off in the morning to have them look at it and then pick it up fully functioning after I leave the office. AND they provide a service for you to get to your location while they work on your car. Excellent spot and I highly recommend Joe!

This place will take advantage of you. They told me it would cost $600 to replace lugs and bolts, went somewhere else for $165. I’ve done the research on my car, the parts are not that expensive. I would just really appreciate honesty and a helpful business.

A few days ago, my window fell off track (on the coldest day of the year!). My mom suggested I take my car into Automotive Authority because Tim has always taken good care of her there. Tim got me in first thing the next day (and ordered the part right after we scheduled the appointment so he would have it ready to install when I got there!). I dropped my car off, and to my surprise, received a call 3 hours later to let me know that my car was finished! Super quick, friendly, and affordable service. I hope that I don’t have any future problems- but if I do, I will definitely go to Automotive Authority!

Tim and the guys at Automotive Authority were life savers.... I own a 2005 Ford Expedition that I depend on every day for my Home Inspection Business. With 150,000 Miles on my vehicle, the timing went out. I took my truck to a big shop in Waterford who took nearly a month to fix the timing issue and spent $3,500.00 from the day I picked my truck up it was not right. I had to take it back in 4 times for them to try and get it right and then the timing chain broke again. They fixed the broken chain and told me, youre all set. I got so frustrated that I took the truck to Automotive Authority to see if they could help me. Tim assured me that they had the tools and technology to fix my issue for good. They had my truck truck for a couple weeks and ran a number of diagnostic tests to isolate the issues that that the last mechanic missed. Took my vehicle in for a quote as this place was recommended by another business. They insisted on taking the vehicle for a test drive even after telling them the issue I needed fixed that could plainly be seen (no other shops insisted on this). Gave me the quote that included more work and parts than actually needed (as verified by 2 separate other shops) but what the worst part of the experience here was that my vehicle was returned to me smelling of smoke. They had my car for only 20 minutes and it took a full day to air out the smell that both me and my 5 year old had to inhale the drive home. Needless to say I did not go back. Was happy and satisfied with the work provided by another shop, issue fixed.

I went to a dealership and they told me I needed a 2,000 dollar fix for my VW. I brought it to Automotive Authority and they did a full inspection at no charge just to tell me I didn’t have the issues the dealership said. My real fix was $0! Very honest place and will definitely be back.

This is not the cheapest place you can find but you get what you pay for. I have been taking my cars to them for couple of years and they are good. They will not make you change/fix something that you do not need to. They are honest and trustworthy.

Exceptional auto service. I have a 2008 Trailblazer that had a/c problems (heat blowing constantly from two vents with the a/c on). Automotive Authority replaced a faulty actuator deep within the dash for a fraction of the cost that my local Chevrolet dealer quoted me. Works perfectly, three months after the repair. Price quoted was spot on, and work was completed within the time frame discussed. Thanks very much!

I have been taking my cars to Tim and his crew since 1993 (previous business owners). They have always taken excellent care of my vehicles. I get prompt service, a fair market price for the parts and labor, and they always take that little extra step that makes it a pleasure to work with them. On occasion, when needed, they go the extra mile as well.

Being an Auto Enthusiast I couldnt have been more excited to find an Automotive Authority near me. I was sorely disappointed when I discovered that they not only dont do any custom work, but cant even order any common aftermarket parts at better rates. While their staff has ALWAYS been very courteous and friendly, the inability to assist me with my Automotive needs leaves much to be desired.Bottom line: if you are looking for common auto repair, this place would fit the bill and then some. If your looking for an Automotive Authority look elsewhere.

If I give these people no stars...I would. The complete obnoxious..arrogance, of the owner, and his sidekick. Over charging for an alternator, not fixing it the first time, leaving me stranded, and costing me over $100.00 in jump charges..and the owner then tossing my keys at me, when he replaced a wire to rhe battery...shocked that these people are still in buisness.

Always honest prices, prompt service, knowledgeable personnel and they stand fully behind their work. I drive 60 miles round trip because theyre the best.

A friend had recommended this place to me when I had an emergency with my Jeep. It was completely out of chance that I took my Jeep here, but ever since then I do not trust anyone else with my vehicles. Tim and Joe are both incredibly personable and professional. For women, it can be incredibly intimidating taking you car to the mechanic and dealing with them. That is not the case at Automotive Authority. They call you when the discover the problem with your vehicle and inform you of your options and DO NOT do any work without your consent. I find their prices to be very reasonable (especially in comparison to auto shops in the Troy, MI area) and their times are very flexible as well. They take the fear out of taking your car in for work. Definitely pleased that I took/TAKE my car here, and so are my family members who use Automotive Authority too.

I work for Hearthside Heating, and our company uses Automotive Authority exclusively. Because of this, I have used them twice now. Today, I was in a real bind. My cars battery was practically dead and (of course) it is one of the coldest days of the year. They stay open late, but I havent been available in the evening. I knew today that I had to replace it or run the risk of getting stranded. Automotive Authority picked up my car, changed out the battery, checked my engine for any other problems, topped off the windshield fluid and brought my car back to me. I dont know if they offer that to everyone, but theyve made me into a faithful customer. I really felt like I was given the star treatment today, so this is my way of saying, Thank you.
