Duck Donuts was first introduced to me on my trip to Outer Banks, NC in 2018. It was without question the best donuts I have ever had. There really was no comparison to it anywhere here in Michigan that I have had. When I saw that they opened here in Michigan, I really wanted to go. The hype experienced at Duck Donuts in North Carolina was not met here at the Troy, MI location. In fact, this location was absolutely terrible.My order:- Apple Cobbler- Pumpkin Roll- Peanut Butter Paradise- Pumpkin Streusel- Coffee Cake- Cookies & CreamThe coffee cake donut was not received. Instead I received a second pumpkin streusel in place of it. The donuts were poorly packed and it was messy. The dough was really heavy too like it soaked up all the oils. It was so bad to the point that the bottom halves of the donuts were stuck to the box/tray, unacceptable.I would not recommend this Duck Donuts.

As a recently transitioned vegan I was excited to try this donut shop that I heard about from my girlfriend who is also vegan. Upon entering I was greeted with a warm welcome and great customer service. As a new vegan I came with questions and everyone was so helpful in answering them. This shop has great vegan options from their donuts to coffee. This location in Troy is still relatively new. Opened last March and Covid happened days later and shut everything down. They have since re-opened and it is definitely worth the stop for some tasty donuts and coffee. They also have breakfast sandwiches, milkshakes and ice cream. Unfortunately for now their breakfast sandwiches are not vegan friendly. However, they look tasty! Definitely a must stop. Nikki the store manager was incredible and professional as were the staff. Thank you so much for a great first experience! Will definitely be back.

So good! The bacon-caramel donut may be the best donut Ive ever had. Also ordered Oreo and SMores donuts - all amazing. Will definitely return!!

Best donuts around hands down. If everyone knew about these donuts, every other donut place would be out of business. The blueberry pancake is the absolute best donut on the menu, and believe me I tried them all. Each donut is made to order. So even if you are ordering from a delivery service, your donut will still arrive warm and fresh. I RAVE about these donuts to anyone who will listen. Lattes are tasty but on the sweet side though. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious and hearty and they dont skimp on the cheese. Even my numerous interactions with the staff members have been pleasant. Along with fantastic donuts, customer service and customer satisfaction is something that Duck Donuts continually delivers on. Overall this is 10/10 experience.

A gem of a spot for a dairy-free donut lover. Subway-ish style setup that makes it easy to know what’s safe to eat and also really great menu creations. Served warm & fresh which is a nice touch but makes it tricky to eat ASAP without cooling down a few minutes.

Ebony at the Troy location was just the absolute best! She provided great specialty donut recommendations for a first timer like myself. Then topped it off with even better customer service. The establishment was also very inviting, professional, and clean. I will definitely be returning very soon!

We were planning all day to go to Duck Donuts We didn’t get there until 6:55 pm and they closed at seven. I felt so guilty going in when they closed in five minutes but we were craving these donuts badly. I want to say the staff was exceptional. They were so kind and the donuts were Awesome. This place has a cool concept. Think chipotle but for donuts. I love how they are made fresh so when you get your order the donuts are still warm. They taste very good and there’s so many different flavor options. My only criticism is that it’s a tad pricey but we will be back for sure.

Was wonderfully surprised to find a Duck Donuts here in Michigan!!!This North Carolinian is a fan!Stopped in as soon as possible and was even more excited to find that the staff was super friendly. It’s like they brought that southern charm along with the donuts. I could easily get fat on the bacon maple donuts!

Donuts were delicious! Everyone enjoyed them and they survived the 5 minute ride home easily. Cashier and people making the donuts were friendly and very upbeat. It was very cool that they are doing charity work and accepting donations for those charity and non profits. It happened to be Leader Dogs for the Blind today.

Honestly the best donuts. All of the flavors are so fun and you can find one that fits any craving!A plain cinnamon sugar one is my favorite though!

I’ve never had such a good donut in my life, for real. i used to think voodoo was untoppable in the vegan game but this place wins any day. the fact that they are even selective on how they deliver to make sure they get to you while they’re still hot is such a respectable dedication to quality. and above all else, their true kindness and customer service is all they really need to keep me coming back.

Whenever I am in the area, I make sure to stop and get Duck Donuts. The maple bacon never disappoints. Actually, none of their donuts disappoint.

Excellent place to get a large variety of donuts freshly made. You can pre-order but it is fun to go in and watch the donut artists make your favorites. You will want to let them cool a bit before you take your first bite.

The best fresh donuts i have tried. Their cofee is really good too. And i love the decoration they have, i took this donuts to the office and they didn not last more than 5 min. Everybody loved them. If you are looking for a donut you can choose your own flavor this is your place.

Hands down some of the best donuts Ive ever had. Ebony is so sweet! Somehow my ticket went missing so I had been sitting for a while. She was so apologetic and kind! The donuts are amazing! They come out warm and soft. I come way across town from Farmington Hills just to get them! The staff is always so kind. I actually didnt mind the wait but Im glad they made up for it. If you like donuts, this is where you need to go-LIKE EVERY DAY!

Donuts are great but the staff doesn’t properly wear their masks. The mask was on but both her nose and mouth were uncovered. The other staff had their nose uncovered.

Probably the worst donut I ever had. The donut was awful. The breading was way too heavy. Entirely too much sugar in the icing/glaze.. If you want a great donut I would recommend Avon donuts in Pontiac or Donut cutter on Woodward.

Duck Donuts showed up on my Facebook feed for a “sponsor add” After seeing their menu, we went and tried it. I downloaded the app, I don’t like the pre selected dozen or 1/2 dozen donuts, you can get individual donuts but doesn’t reflect the price difference. Ordered a 1/2 dozen at the store, they looked so good. When we ate them, about a half hour later... they were delicious! I will definitely go again and try the other flavors.

Had these for the first time 4 years ago in Maryland. I was very excited to hear they opened here in MI....they were as good as the first time I had them. Yummy hot fresh donuts! Cookies and Cream and cinnamon sugar are my favorites. Clean location and friendly staff. Not super expensive, 4 donuts were $8 and definitely worth it!

Had the vegan donuts. Our first day there they had an issue with the vegan donuts fryer. They refunded it and later texted us when it was functional and provided a dozen for free when we came in the next day. Really awesome service and really awesome donuts ❤️🍩💯

Products look awesome, however the employees are extremely slow. Three employees, only one working consistently. Took almost 15 minutes to get 2 donuts and a breakfast sandwich. Meanwhile others waiting outside to just come in to order. Not good service!

I had been looking for Duck Donuts for over a year and the closest location was in Ohio. Best donuts ever! Made to order and various icings/toppings for the donuts, employees prepare each donut according to what you order. Pricey, but worth it. A dozen with tax cost around $18. Donuts are always hot and moist. Not your typical donut shop. A must visit!

Manager said the prices of the donut sundae “rose yesterday” from 5.95 to 8, then a newer worker ended up ringing us up for 5.95 after she left.

Amazing donuts and greater people

This is a game changer for me when I provide onsite training and bring donuts for the students. A variety of fresh donuts can be ordered online and theyll be ready for pickup when scheduled. Curbside contactless delivery is also an option, just call when you arrive.They are warm and individually decorated in amazing flavors. We shared a dozen of the summer assortment and I took a bite from all 12 donuts. The two peach flavors were our favorite followed by the strawberry shortcake. The beach ball was too sweet and there wasnt enough cookie topping on the cookies n cream. The PBJ was missing the jelly.Another thing to love about this place is that their assortment of donuts changes throughout the different holidays and seasons (patriotic, campfire, summer, etc) so youre not bringing the same flavored donuts throughout the year.

While I have had better cake donuts, they make a good donut that you can have made your way not theirs. You can freeze them and when they thaw, they are still good. Not as cheap as other places but you pay for having it your way.

The donuts are delicious but the staff is so rude. We have ordered from them twice in the last 6 weeks and both times they seemed almost inconvenienced when I went in to pick them up. I think a smile wouldn’t hurt... or maybe a thank you.... have a nice day... anything.... but that aside the donuts were very good.

This place is amazing. I love the fact that I can customize the donut to my liking, the owner Demitra is the icing on the cake! Her customer service is phenomenal she went above and beyond for me when I came into the store in a rush she went out of her way to take care of my order and made sure I got it on time! I rarely leave reviews but this business deserves it!

The management is terrible they need a new manager ASAP!! The business lacks professionalism because of it and makes customers not want to go there.

I stumbled across this gem and just wow!! I was not expecting these top notch donuts!! First of all they make them fresh and I only intended to get one until I seen how many options their were to choose from so I left with a dozen instead and they were all FIREEE!! Highly recommend

These donuts are amazing! Made fresh daily and watching them get decorated is fun to watch! The come out warm and I cant get enough of them! Worth the drive so stop in, I assure you, you wont be disappointed!

They do make fresh cake doughnuts and add delicious toppings to order. The maple bacon was especially good.

Opening day was great! Busy but we felt like we all got out with our selections smoothly. The donut itself is delicious! They have pretty much any conceivable topping you could ask for. I did have a large Coconut Mocha coffee but wasnt a fan. Otherwise nice job guys!

After arriving at Duck Donuts for our very first time, we read their sign to place a curbside order bc it clearly stated to order online for pickup OR call for curbside pickup. In our attempt to follow rules and guidelines per state order, we proceeded to make our call. After being told we’d have a 10-15 minute wait for curbside we then watched 4 other people go inside, place their order, & be serviced. After 15 mins and less than 4 people in the store my husband went in to grab our order which wasn’t even prepared. We were then told that our iced coffees were ready and waiting, but still no half dozen of donuts. We then had to continue to wait for our donuts to be prepared. Our melted iced coffees were a bit watery, but not a big deal. We had expected a better service experience given that this is a new establishment and obliged to the ordering process. A 20+ minute wait after witnessing, outsiDe and inside, others have no wait And a direct order was disappointing.

Fresh donuts iced in very flavorful and creative ways. I recommend the blueberry pancake and the Lemon raspberry donuts.
