Slow and not efficient. The older man working has very little patience and lacks customer service skills. The technology they are using in this store is extremely dated which by my observations is the reason most of their daily operations are held up and take so long to complete. Im sure they just dont want to put money into new technology but it would certainty make things run faster and more efficient. The store in Fairfield off the Post Road is head and shoulders above this location.

These people are fine. Unfortunately, the UPS website incorrectly lists them as being open until 6 PM on weekdays, even though they are open until 5 PM. I always call in advance, just to confirm their hours.

SO rude. I had to return stuff to Amazon and the second I walked in the door, the older gentleman who was working snapped at me. He angrily asked if I already had a label. I said I had an Amazon code and then he barked at me to get in line. That is exactly what I was doing before he snapped at me right off the bat. There was absolutely no need for the interaction that we had. He was not even working the register. The young man who helped me with my returns at the register was fine. I feel bad for the kid since he has to work with the nightmare of a person who was the older man working on 12/28/20 at 2pm.

Came here on a Monday because their hours online say they’re open until 630 but there’s a paper sign that says mon-friday hours are actually 9am-5pm and Saturday 8am-2pm. Posting this in hopes that no one else wasted their time trying to get here after 5pm.

Ok. I dont ship very often and I know this is the season. But I come in with items in a box and UPS shipping labels. I ask for help to estimate how many additional boxes and Bubble Wrapping I need. But no Luck. All what I get is a grumpy answer about we sell wrappers by the foot. I was seriously wanting to pay for the help with the packaging but I switched off at that point. Ill box it and wrap it myself. And drop it in a UPS dropping point. Some friendly smile goes a long way.

I just had to drop off a box there this morning, I waited outside in the line for 20 min under 34 degrees. The line never moved and I had to leave for an appointment. I stopped by at 3pm again and it eas already closed.

Im not sure if people are expecting to be asked if they want a cappuccino or espresso while they are sending out a package, but if you want a courteous and efficient experience when sending anything out, then go here. The owner (Im assuming hes the owner) always knows the best way/most cost effective way of sending something out. Not a question that cant be answered.

Owner doesn’t even know what his answering machine says, cellphone service is basically nonexistent at the location but no fault of theirs. Would rather drive to a more friendly store than go back there

Not sure of all the bad ratings... I have had nothing but pleasant experiences here. No matter what question I have had, it’s been answered. I opened a P.O. box here, and having access to it 24/7 with my work schedule has been fantastic. The gentleman who seems to be the manager (John?) is always super friendly and thoroughly explains everything. As someone in customer service and a small-business partner myself, I have only great things to say about this place. Maybe the other reviews were based off one experience, not recently, and it’s possible there’s been some exaggeration here. All honesty - I’d recommend this place to any of my friends or family. Thanks UPS!

The customer service was excellent. We were shipping multiple large boxes for a Bahamas Relief effort. These gentlemen were so kind in helping us navigate the best way to be cost effective. We highly recommend!

Rude. UPS is great, this store falls below the threshold of its expectations. Worker got a bit rude with me when I tried to use my phone as a payment method, placed his hand over the machine and told me dont do that. My mail went ground but did not go in a ground envelope, just a regular one with a piece of cardboard, little things I expect from a UPS store to be done that was not done. Ive worked and used UPS for many years and know these are things that should have been provided. I can see why this store has such a low rating, guy at the register is not a people person by any means.

I cant say enough good things about this particular store and John, who I presume is the owner/manager. I had several things (table, lamp and bric a brac) to be shipped. Everything was wrapped and protected perfectly so it would arrive undamaged. The shipping and delivery was timely as well. However, John went above and beyond expectations by calling me several times to keep me informed of the stages of pick up and confirming that I had been notified of the timing of delivery. He then followed up to make sure that all had arrived safely. Id give this business 10 stars if given the option. Thank you! Thank you!!

I have been going to this UPS store since it opened. You would think by now that I would get a lovely greeting or a have a nice day. Doesnt this owner realize that part of owning a business is public relations? The customer IS your business. This man is a robot. Doesnt acknowledge people and has no social skills. All he knows to ask is if your package contains batteries, etc. The post office is up the street and thats where Ill be heading in the future.

Owner or manager, has horrible customer service skills, he sounds like a robot every time I come in, all the employees are impersonal, probably because of him, for the amount of times I have been in there they have tried to charge me a $1 for a strip of tape to seal a package. If anyone experiences this, do what I did, go to your change cup in your car and give him all pennys. The only reason I go back is because its close but otherwise I wouldnt recommend anyone going there. They are terrible!

For a big brand like UPS, stores like this one give a bad name. I had to reopen the packaging on a 8inch box to verify contents before shipping it... when I asked for tape they gave me 2 options... pay $1 or buy a roll of tape for $4. They couldnt part with a tape piece 8inch in length.. I wasnt trying to pack all my holiday gifts with their tape :). just ridiculous store people

These people are so unhelpful and borderline rude. Every time Ive gone in here its like they dont want my business! Came in at 3:15pm to open a business mailbox and he said it takes quite some time to do so could we make an appt for tomorrow? They dont close until 6:00pm!! Months before that I tried to send a rug back that the vendor instructed to send back via UPS and he said it was too large. I received it via UPS so how so? He literally turned me away. I ended up going to a real UPS location instead and guess what? I was able to ship the rug.

I would give it zero star if there is such an option! Now I understand why this place has such low rating/bad reviews. I went in 3 times in 2 weeks to try to open a mailbox. But each time I was told the manager/owner is not in and to leave my number for the manager to call me. First of all, how can they run a business like this where only the manager can open a mailbox?!! Most frustrating is he never called!! Did he lose all the multiple messages I left for him? Finally I got fed up and asked the guy behind the counter, is there another UPS location nearby? He said, you can google it !!! I dont think anyone should do business with this store if your business has to rely on them, maybe its ok if you are mailing one off items...Update:I did google! and found that the Stratford UPS store and Westport UPS store both have near 5 star rating. I opened my mailbox at Westport. No, they do not need to wait for the manager to open the mailbox for me. The guy behind the counter did it. A 10 minute process which is what I expected this to be, not a 2 week chase.But as I was leaving the Westport store, the manager was coming in and learned I just opened my mailbox, he shook my hand, congratulated me on my new business thus need a business address, gave me a tour of the mailbox (which wasnt needed as mailboxes were all right there), gave me his card and told me to call him if I needed anything else.This is what I call customer service!I dont understand why the Trumbull ups store does not care they just lost $400 worth of business, mailboxes would seem to be high margin with little work.Please save yourself some aggravation and dont go to the Trumbull ups store, instead use the Westport store or Stratford which is only 5 miles drive away...

The person there (owner or manager) wanted to charge me a few $ for a couple of strips of tape ! I took my package and left. What an absolute disgrace. Its a shipping store, they cant provide tape ? Fedex and USPS provide tape. Ive heard from other people in town to stay away from this place... should have listened

I will never go back to do business with this UPS store. The staff is rude and couldn’t even provide a strip of freaking tape so I can send out my package ! He wanted me to buy an entire roll of tape are you kidding me !!!!!!
