Quality master audio wiring for vehicles, trailers, and so on. Stephen is the owner, and he is an excellent problem solver. There is not a problem that he cant fix with a stereo, vehicle, or trailers wiring. He runs a family owned business with an emphasis on customer service. Seth (one of his best friends) works in the front office, and offers excellent customer service as well. Sometimes you will find Stephens mother working there as well. She is kind, and very helpful. There are always dogs onsite, and they are absolute sweethearts. I will always continue to recommend and use Sonic Audio for all my vehicles, trailers, cars, or any other vehicles I get in the future.I have been going to Sonic Audio for about 6 years or so. Stephen wired up the security system in my tool trailer, and added more lighting on the interior and exterior of the trailer. More recently I was having some issues with the charging for the trailers on board battery. I was also having issues with my work trucks 7/4 pin wiring harness. Stephen straightened it out in less than a day. He also wired up the stereo in my work truck with a wireless mic for talking hands-free, and a couple of speakers several years ago. Everything still works perfectly.

I gave these guys a fairly difficult job of adding a complex multi amp and sub stealth upgrade to a 2020 suburban with bose infotainment and they did an amazing job. I am by no means a “car audio guy”. I needed a back up camera for my F350 so I did a quick Google search on my phone to find a car audio place near Sherwood. I went to a chain competitor originally because it was a name you hear often on the radio, etc..., and I was told that only a single deck would fit in my dash, which didnt make sense to me because there is a storage compartment below the factory single deck. I did a little research and found Sonic Audio. I was immediately impressed with the friendliness of everyone and the dog too! The owner, his wife, and mother all work there which is awesome to me #americandream. I always try to support small business when I can. Their pricing was less expensive than I could find the deck online for and that included installation! They did an awesome job and helped me sync my phone up to the new double deck and showed me all of its cool features along with matching up the color scheme to my factory colors. Sonic Audio is the only company that I will allow to touch my deck and tweeters in the future! Much appreciated, highly recommended!

This is my third vehicle that I’ve brought here. I’m getting a new stereo and an HD backup camera installed and the price is very reasonable. But it’s not just the solid work. After a few years my system wasnt sounding right and I stopped by their store to talk to someone about my options. In the past I have enjoyed good experiences with a few audio shops, but these guys are by far the most impressive of them all. That alone is hard to find. The prices were more than reasonable on the speakers I added and I thought the labor charges were surprisingly inexpensive and I love that. Off the beaten path but worth finding! Ive used places like Car Toys, installers attached to Best Buy/Fryes, and standalone shops downtown. Sonic is playing in their own league when it comes to professionalism, honesty and communication. I would trust these guys with my car and they would treat it with the same care I would. Recommended!

Steve and Brad installed a remote starter (including a smartstart capable add on unit). There were some unique issues with my vehicle. I had to bring it back and they were able to use diagnostics to determine what was happening and program the bypass unit correctly. My remote starter FOB and the app on my phone both work perfectly now. There were no additional charges for the troubleshooting and they were always great to work with.

I like to shop from local business owner. I am glad I found Sonic Audio. Shopping experience was very pleasant. Pricing is transparent and straight forward. They spell out all the items and services line by line on the print out estimate and so it is clear and no confusion or misunderstanding. They warranty their work as well. Steven and his team went above and beyond on my installation job. I bought a new head unit and a backup camera and they did flawless work. This is the only place Ill ever take any of my cars from now on. (They have the added bonus of bringing their puppies to work so you get to play with a couple of very cute pups while youre there.)

Sonic Audio is the best audio place in the greater Portland area hands-down. They took 5 minutes to diagnose the problem w/ my stereo for FREE and then sold me the part I needed for only $15. I had called every other place in the area and got quoted $110-$125 for an HOUR of work and this did NOT include fixing it or parts. ONE call to Sonic and the guy told me hed diagnose it in the parking lot for free and then we would go from there. There was 0 pressure at all to buy from him or let him install it, however I will 100% use Sonic in the future for paid installations or parts, these guys are a real class act and a perfect example of a quality small business that deserves the support of the community. Choose Sonic over any other audio place in the area and you wont be disappointed.

I wanted Blue Tooth and a Navigating system added to my 2010 Subaru Outback and they were able to accommodate me with a wonderful and stylish looking Pioneer unit that looks like it was made for my car. Im taking the car to Mexico for a year or two and wanted something I could rely on. Brad, the owner, went over the system with me and encouraged me to contact him if I had any questions or concerns. They have a nice waiting area and a spotless work area. I would highly recommend this company. Any place that has dogs is great with me.

These guys are awesome! I guide professionaly over Chesapeake and Labs and the puppies can do a lot of damage to car stereo wiring. Steve is in and out in 1/2 hr for a reasonable price with discount for cash. Any time u buy a puppy establish tie down points in your car or they will find the stereo wires. Originally had Car Toys install subs and an amp with a remote bass control knob. It never sounded good, and they told me it was the best they could do with my factory deck. I came to Sonic for a second opinion, and they had the problem identified in 5 minutes, and solved in 30. Price was reasonable, service was friendly and personal. I will definitely be recommending to friends and going back!

Frys electronics royally messed up the install for my head unit, leaving the sound quality lacking, and a constant static noise. When I went back to get it fixed, the Frys Electronics tech recommended that I buy new speakers! Ridiculous!With just one trip to Sonic Audio, they were not only able to fix the issue and fully inform me on the proper connectivity of my new head unit, but also recommended some other options for my Corvette, even referring me to Amazon to get better prices than they can give me.I would HAPPILY pay for the installation fee over a crappy free install any day of the week.These guys made me a customer for life with great customer service and competent technicians. Steve installed 4 Rockford woofers, a rockford amp and rockford sub. Reasonable price for quality install and support. A year later, I dropped the sub onto the ground while trying to remove it from the car so I could clean out the car. I busted the sub. Steven asked me to bring it in, he managed to fix it and didnt ask for any $. Would definitely go here again.

This is my second visit to Sonic Audio, I have local options in Hood River but was not pleased with the quality of the work completed on my last van. I did some research and Sonic Audio came up and was only one hr away. It was defiantly worth the trip!!!! Brad and his Installers are skilled technicians in the Audio world with attention to detail and top notch service. I talked with Brad on the phone first and he took the time to answer all my questions and then we scheduled an appointment, they prefer appointment installs. The work was completed in a timely manner and Im very pleased with the results. I came back to upgrade some audio components and have them wire up some LED lighting,switches and backup camera. I suspect if you ever did have an issue after an install they would stand behind their work and make it right. A++

Where do I even start with these guys? My first time coming here was the IASCA sound-off that they did sometime in March. I used to work at Car Toys and have a decent set up in my car. I was told about the event from an installer I worked with, so decided to go and pay the $25.00 to have some professionals rate my system and give me tips on how and where to improve (btw totally worth the money for the experience and meeting some awesome people). The IASCA event was hosted at Sonic Audio. Even though I was there for the event and not a customer that day, they was still a very welcoming and chill vibe from Steve and the staff here. Tonight I came in as a customer I was welcomed again, and Steve remembered me and my vehicle and was able to help install an upgraded head unit into my car, and install my old head unit (nothing wrong with it at all, the new head unit was a wedding gift) into my friends first car. These guys have provided the best service I have found yet in the car-audio industry, and have gained two new customers for life! Not only was the staff still friendly, welcoming, and honest about the way my previous stereo was installed (which was installed at Car Toys and wires were tangled and everywhere), but they were quick, efficient, and worked extremely well with each other to get both my car and my friends car done before they closed at 7pm. I left with my car cleaner than when I had brought it in, things were put back nicely, and screws that were missing and not put back in by Car Toys were replaced completely. I will 100% support Steve and his business. He has put in so much work and love into his business and it shows! I dont usually do reviews, but, here I am. He is as competitive or better as online or big box stores on the wiring I bought. Was a good price for what I got. I asked for a couple connectors for the terminals and he tried to give me a palm full. Told him no but he made me take 3 lol. Ill be putting out the word to my friends about this guy. Its the way customer service should be!

Cant say enough great things about these guys. Dont let the location and lack of fancy storefront fool you, Brad and his team know what they are doing. I was nervous picking a place based solely on internet reviews but wanted to avoid the big box stores and typical car toys type audio places.I headed to Sonic wanting a new truck stereo and speakers, and hopeful that they might be able to hook a camera into my horse trailer, so I could watch my horses when I hauled them. Was shocked when Brad said they could easily do it, and for what I felt was an awesome price to boot. New stereo rocks and the piece of mind I now have hauling with the camera is priceless. Head to Sonic, they will take great care of you!
