Ive had quite a bit of experience with this location. My first issue was over a year ago, I had purchased a silicone eyeshadow applicator which never made it into my bag. Instead of just believing me they said they needed to look at the video footage of the day that I purchased the eyeshadow applicator. I never did hear back about the lost eyeshadow applicator and I never did get my money back or the eyeshadow applicator. In March 2021 I got a haircut and my brows shaped. My haircut looked really cute after it was styled. Once I got home and washed it the next day I realized it was a hot mess. The front on the left side was 2 inches longer than the right side. This was not part of the intended style. My eyebrows were done to perfection. On the plus side I have found an ULTA cream eyeshadow that I really like. I have since lopped off the extra 2 on the left side to make it even with the right side. Im sure they have good stylists and maybe it was just not a good day for mine, but I wont be going back to find out if it was a fluke.

Went to this Ulta to find a new skin care routine, they were lovely and helped me pick out the products best for my skin. I was worried about spending as much money as I did on these products, but it was totally worth it. Went back to my hometown for a visit and the bars refused me service because I looked too young and my ID had to be fake. Thanks Derma-E products and Ulta workers!

I dont leave a lot of reviews but I had to because of 1 super great employee and 1 employee that was pretty bad.First the positive, Molly helped me find the perfect gift for my niecesShe was super sweet and great! The other girl with her (didnt get ur name, had a russian accent, Im pretty sure) was also wonderful. My nieces loved it. I wouldve rated 5 stars just based on these girls.The not so great. I was browsing and had a few items in my hands. An employee asked me if I needed a basket. I said no. She kept watching me and walking by ( like she thought I was doing something sketchy) then demanded i used the basket. I came in and spent a decent amount of money, I didnt appreciate being made to feel like a shop lifter. Also they didnt have any birthday gifts for this month and didnt substitute it for anything or even look.

After a HORRIBLE experience a week earlier at a different Ulta (see other Ulta review) we decided to stop in here. At the previous experience we ended up with an Ulta merchandise credit which evidently cant be used online. We had received a coupon for 20% off our purchase in the mail, and we didnt want to let the merchandise credit go to waste so here we went.This was a much more calm environment where no one was screaming on the phone at customers for calling in, and questions were answered without any issue. Had this been our interaction the week earlier we probably would still be regular Ulta customers.

Maddie in the salon is AMAZING. She’s the absolute sweetest and is so talented with hair. She’s super pleasant to talk to and always has me leaving the chair feeling super happy with my hair. Highly highly recommend seeing her!

I saw Jessie Rush in the Ulta Salon last Friday and it was such an amazing experience! Jessie is such a gem and is seriously talented. I left with a hair color and style even better than I imagined. She listened to what I had in mind and offered her expert opinion. She even gave me a price quote prior to starting, which was appreciated. And after the appointment she helped me pick a shampoo and conditioner to help keep my hair healthy. Overall it was such an amazing experience and I cant wait for my next appointment with Jessie!

Im a long time Ulta customer. Ive never had issues until this year. I ordered online and while ordering updated my address. Unknown to me, my address did not save. I waited for my product to ship and when it did I reviewed the email for the ETA not paying attention to the ship address because I thought my update saved. After the delivery date and realizing that I had not received my order, I reviewed the order online and realized then it had delivered to the wrong address. I reached out to Ulta Customer Service who told me its Ultas policy to not reship. That it was my fault and so Im out the product that I ordered and $70 paid. Ive followed up on this twice more and Im still getting this answer. As a platinum status customer, I can tell you that I WILL NOT be shopping at Ulta again.

Benefit consultant helped me find exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond to help me find skincare from the brands I like and for my skin type. There was a drastic difference in my skin overnight and Im in love with my new skincare routine.Ive been coming here for years and will continue to!

Cant say enough good things about Ellen. Shes really good at what she does and very friendly. Only thing that I have an issue with are the prices for merchandise. Services seem to be priced ok considering the time and effort she puts in. Shes a fun experience!

Everyone was super friendly, except for the manager. Beware of the older woman with pitch black hair. I asked a question regarding the reward program and she replied with sass. Then a week later when I was in, i asked another question and she replied with “what ? Are you talking to me ?” Even though she was right in front of me. She didn’t even give me her full attention for 20 seconds. Worst service received anywhere, ever !!!! Will not be coming back to this location in hopes to avoid her.

Employees asked my friend and I about five times if we needed help and made us uncomfortable. One employee actually started making comments about my mini backpack and touching the pin on the back even though it was pretty clear I didnt really want to talk to her. I dont know if its because were Mexican or teenagers or something but I honestly will not be coming here in the future to avoid being treated like a thief.

My sister was getting married and we forgot our primer and was desperate to get some at Ulta the morning of her wedding. People we’re working at 9am and they refused to let us purchase a primer because they don’t open until 10am. Any kind of customer service would have been letting us purchase a primer even if it meant them grabbing it for us and us paying in cash without coming in. I have worked in Sales for several years. There are options to help people. Never shopping there again. Also, thank you Sephora for allowing us to do this when we were in a little crisis!!!

Got my hair done by tiffany in the salon a week or so ago! really good quality experience and my hair turned out exactly how I wanted. You could tell they really knew their stuff there and even with their busy schedule they really take their time with you and are detailed! Definitely will go back again!

Permanent hair dye was used on my hair instead of semi permanent. They refuse to fix my hair now after assuring me I just needed to keep washing it. Will never buy and products or utilize their salon again. Perhaps better customer service training is in order for their staff and assistant managers.

I’ve been to this store several times, seeing that it’s the closest makeup store to me. Every time I’ve been there I’ve never been helped. I’ll try to hunt someone down but I get ignored. Time after time, I’ll be conflicted on what I should buy, what shade is closest to me or anything in that range and no one is around to help. The workers all stay in groups and talk about their day and how they’ve dealt with horrible customers and bash people while on the clock. I’ve overheard countless conversations that really weren’t meant to have out on the floor.I strongly suggest only going here if you know what you need to get otherwise they don’t seem to want to help you. This is just my experience but I know it could be different for others.

I’ve gotten my hair done by Sarah L a few times and she is amazing!! She always communicates to make sure she is getting what you want and is so gifted at making your hair exactly what you invisioned! She cares about your hair and will be honest on what’s best for it which is always something you want to hear! 30/10 would recommend Sarah L to everyone I know! Also she is super sweet and friendly which is a nice atmosphere to be around.

I went to the salon for a color correction and cut. I had a couple of d.i.y attempts with dark brown/reds and 3 different tones. One my natural root, second was about 2 inches of a lightening attempt and a dark brown violet on the the rest. I was schedule with a girl named Jesse and my goodness did she have a job ahead of her. We discussed price and time and plan. I was in that poor girls chair for 4 and a half hours. She showed no signs of irritation or tiredness through the whole 4.5 hours. My hair started to turn pink during the highlighting process. She knew exactly what to do, what tones to add to fix my mess. Anywho! I can wear my hair down again! I love it.. she got my hair pretty exact to what I went in asking for. I can’t thank her enough for all her knowledge and hard work. I will definitely recommend her and continue to go to her. Well worth the $ spent! Thank you Jesse!

Just called to make an appointment for my hair, phone was answered by a girl, who I did not catch the name of, who then put the phone down while I was talking to help a customer without even letting me know! I could hear her whole conversation going on.

My favorite place to go for all my cosmetic needs! The girls who work here are all so helpful and nice!! Every time Ive visited, there has always been someone knowledgeable to help me out. Last time I went, I thought my trip would take at least 30 minutes, but Katie helped me find everything in less than 10!! And Im loving the things she helped me find. I never shop anywhere else for makeup now because Ive always had such great experiences here. A+!!

Changing my 5 star review to one star. I cannot go their without the workers pushing certain products on me ( most likely the fault of management ) but what really gets me going it the amount of times they treat me like a theif. Watching my every move, pushing a bag on me when I only have a item or two. The workers are rude and don’t care about giving you products best for you but best for the company.

I went to the Tualitin location last week in a hurry, the woman at the counter refused to sell me my item without my ulta card, I couldn’t remember the phone number. I told her I was late and in a hurry, she got another worker who said I cannot purchase at the store without a card and she would make me a new one. I explained again i was in a hurry. She said sorry due to the return policy I have to have a new card or use my old one. I ended up leaving without buying it and was late to work. So mad this happened.

She spent a lot of time with me and seemed genuinely interested in helping me find what I needed. On this day, the store was also way more organized!---------This location felt very disorganized. I was looking for a certain hair dye and they were all mixed up and tons of colors in every brand had no stock on the shelf. I left pretty quick.

Ulta is great until you try to do returns. Brought something and opened it and it was broken. Immediately went back to exchange it and was interrogated by a manager....

They have everything so that part is great, but the employees there to “help” are always rude, always judgemental and NEVER listen. If you tell them what you like I guarantee you they will argue that you are wrong. Always leave feeling bad about myself. Terrible customer service.

Everyone had recommended Ulta Salon and so I was looking forward to this appointment, especially since I normally just go to a beauty school.I scheduled the appointment at 10am with Tricia, but when I got there, Tricia passed me off to Rachel. I showed Rachel a picture of what I was looking for. It was an ombré look, dark brown roots to blonde. My hair was dark brown and had not been dyed in 8 months. I told her that I understood that it wouldn’t necessarily happen today, but my hair lifts fairly well and I have been told my hair is pretty strong.Anyway, Rachel started and she said we would be done around noon. She started a full foil on me and even though I was confused, I just told myself to trust the stylist as they’re the pros and not me. TWO HOURS LATER, she finally finished foiling my hair. (My hair is shoulder length with average thickness.) I mentioned to Rachel that I had work at 3pm and she didn’t say anything.Around 1pm, I was finally getting the foils taken out of my hair. Rachel said we need to do toner now — at this point, my anxiety starts to really kick in. Luckily the toner only took a couple minutes. Around 1:50pm, I’m in the chair to get it blow-dried. This is the first time I’ve seen my hair and I’m shocked. I can’t even look at myself in the mirror because all I saw was this coppery-yellow mess staring back at me and a stylist who cleared did not read her client. Rachel took her sweet time to blow dry my hair. When 2pm hit, I got up out of the chair, hair still very wet, and told her I had to leave. Rachel seemed shocked. She was like, “Do you want me to style it at least?” She even told me I need a haircut. I told her no and that I just wanted to pay and leave, to which she gave me a receipt and told me to go to the front of the store to pay (even though there was a register in front of her). I ended up getting 30% off the service, just because it was my first time at the salon but I still paid $134 for the service — and now have to go elsewhere to have fixed.I’m very upset with how my hair turned out and even more upset with the service. What was supposed to be a very relaxing, pampering moment before my baby is born, turned out to be a disaster.I love Ulta, but I will not be going back to the salon. EVER.

I was followed around the store and the girlWasn’t even trying to be discreet about it. I called corporate to complain and they had the store manager call to ask me what happened and she apologized and informed me that it’s not their policy to follow people around. I went in about a month later and one of the employees must of recognized me and pointed me out to the manager, because she came up to me and said, sorry about my last experience. I felt so uncomfortable and weird that she even felt the need to approach me after we already spoke on the phone. In my opinion, that was very unprofessional by her and whoever it was that pointed me out as the one that called to complain.

Ok so I go to this location ALL the time. I am pretty knowledgeable about makeup but I like to get second opinions from the people that work there. Both times Ive gone in the past month I have left with a product that I was told would be perfect for my skin type/shade. And both of those products have not been what they promised me it was. They tell me all these amazing things about these products and then when I use them it seams to me that they straight up LIED to me just to get me to buy their products. Im furious and now I have to return another product. The two women that have pushed products on me have been a Pur consultant and a Benefit Consultant. Everytime I ask for help at this ulta I ALWAYS ask an employee that is just ulta not a brand consultant because of this reason. But always these other people (brand consultants) come up and start pushing their products on me. I do not like pushy salespeople. Today I was testing a foundation on my own (like I said I know what Im doing when it comes to makeup) and a Benefit counter women tells from across the room Hey girl, what are you doing and then runs over and tells me I should try their foundation and how she is dry and pale like me and she wears it everyday and its so amazing and buildable and matches my shade perfectly. So she tests it on my skin and it looks nice and I take her word for it and buy it. Now a few hours later I see it had oxidized and is starting to be very patchy and sinks into my lines. So I looked up video reviews and all of them say exactly what Im experiencing and exactly opposite of what she told me. I am mad.

Rating for Salon at Ulta Nyberg. Ive only been to this salon location 2 times, but have had both appointments with stylist Jessie Rush. My first, we took off quite a bit of hair (going from a bob to pixie again). My appointment yesterday was only 2 weeks after my first appointment and I was feeling extra frumpy. My hair had gotten kind of wild and poofy, I was worried that we wouldnt be able to fix it up into a style I would be happy with. Jessie already remembered who I was and remembered my weird preferences for my hair. After 30 minutes a cutting, buzzing, and texturizing...I was like a brand new human! I cant get over how much better I feel! Jessie did an amazing job, is super personable and definitely would reccomend her to anybody..but really to people who have shorter hair! (She also has a long pixie with an undercut, so she understand the little tricks with them) Anyways. LOVE her and her skills. Go to Jessie Rush!

I was in the market for a new foundation-type product and was excited to learn that this store existed and had so many of the products Id read about online. I specifically went in without makeup because I thought it would be easier for someone to help me find a good shade.Well, it was very difficult getting any help (maybe I wasnt made-up enough to look like a serious customer with money burning a hole in my pocket?). When someone finally did help me, they appeared to be in a big hurry to find one shade in one product line and send me off with samples as quickly as possible.When I wanted some more samples to try at home (because clearly I wasnt going to get much help trying things on in the store), I was told there is a 3-item limit on samples.When I, as a customer, feel like Im disturbing the salespeople, it doesnt make me want to shop there or spend money there.So I went to the *other* makeup store and found someone who spent a lot of time with me finding the right product and shade.

I was not only sold make up I ended up hating, but essentially stalked through the whole store. They don’t even deserve one star. Felt like I wasn’t allowed to browse and the employees even put a product I didn’t want into my bag without telling me. I will never go back to ulta. Do not purchase pur products. They are garbage just like the store that sold them. Go to any other make up company than this one.

Never get your hair done at Ulta!I have had my hair cut and colored several times at the Ulta salon. The hair stylist, Chelsea, was nice. But each time she spent a lot of time talking to her friends during my appointment, so it took a lot longer than it needed to. After one of my hair cuts, I noticed that a chunk of hair on the under side was chopped off very short. Now Im having to grow that chunk out, which is taking a long time, and it looks really bad when I wear my hair up. I dont know how someone can accidentally cut a big chunk of hair way shorter than the rest of my hair.

Took forever to get help here today. Extremely understaffed, and the cashier told someone on the ear piece she was overwhelmed helping 2 customers....maybe it was her first week? The manager that seemed to be in charge sounded mean and irritated at everything and everyone, barking about displays and such. They had a floor remodel going while they were open, maybe not the best idea. Manager seemed like she couldnt handle it either. Maybe just a lack of training all around today?

Returns are headache inducing. Employees are poorly informed on ongoing events and sales. Hair services are alright, but not worth the price point.

I asked about highlighters and she showed me the most expensive one instead of the best one. They didnt have the highlighter I really wanted which was the Urban Decay Naked Illuminator. All three shades were gone. Wheres your backstock?! Its the weekend!!! She wasnt paying attention when I was standing in line so I walked over to her register. They didnt even have the free gift I was sent an email about yesterday. She barely said hi and I showed her my coupon and she offered a gel mascara instead and I declined. Who wants that?! Terrible customer service. Never will be back and I only love 0.2 miles from here! So sad. I would rather drive to Tigard! Fix your supply and get some new employees.

I ran into Ulta to purchase a few things on May 14th. The cashier, listed as Siarra on my receipt asked if I had a rewards card, etc., I said no. She then proceeded to go list out the benefits of the card and then got my attention when she said that you could not make any returns unless you had a rewards card. I said, even if you have your original receipt you cant return something unless you have the card? She said yes, even with the original receipt - you still needed the rewards card to make a return. I said, What kind of customer services is that? She basically said that was store policy. And I again said, Even if you have your original receipt? She said yes and I said that I will never shop here again. I am not going to patronize a store that forces you to get a rewards card to make a return. She was quite taken back and asked if it was her customer service or just store policy that I didnt want to shop here anymore. And I said store policy. She gave me my bag and as I walked out, she turned around (because no one can hear you if you turn around) and started badmouthing me to her co-workers and couldnt believe my reaction. I told my husband that I didnt care if she said anything about me, but someone should have told her to at least wait until the customer is out of the store before you start running your mouth. I have shopped at Ulta for as long as they have been in the Portland area. I believe I have returned something once or maybe twice to a store. SO...all that being said, when I got into my car, I turned the receipt around and it very clearly says on the back that you CAN make returns with your original receipt. There is no mandate on using a rewards card. I would hope that cashiers like Siarra are better educated about store policy and customer service when they are the point of contact for customers.
