Larry is an absolute artist. He just resoled a pair of Red Wing Irish Setters for me, and they look incredible. The craftsmanship is unmatched and for a great price too. I’ll definitely be back.
I needed my old dog leash repaired for my new dog. Probably should have just thrown it away but dogs you know. Larry not only repaired it but reinforced it so it wouldnt break. That little extra that makes you want to go to a local shop and craftsman.
Larry is exceptionally good at what he does. I recently got my Birkenstocks resole at a different shoe repair store but i was not too please with it. The sole was so stiff that the sandals couldnt flex thus, making it very uncomfortable to wear. Luckily Larry was able to fix that. Larry install a heavy duty vibram outsole attach to a very comfortable midsole. When i received the Birkenstocks back, they were so comfortable that it felted like i was walking on cloud. I would highly recommend everyone to come to Larry for any shoe repair service. He was very kind, informative and his work was very superb. Not to mention the price was also affordable. I will definitely return to have my other boots fixs.
Rude and overpriced. Wanted FIFTY DOLLARS to replace small swing latch on purse. Refused to use my recently purchase new latch. Chip-on-shoulder attitude.
Prompt professional service
Very helpful. Have reasonable prices
Bought boots for work at this store and had a great experience. Very knowledgeable and great help finding the boots I needed.
Expensive shoe repair shop however good American quality Craftsmanship, & Service is also there. Had good experience there.Owner should consider pricing reasonably to win more business & customers rather than turning em away. I think customer is more important than money. Sorry, Im old fashioned businessman. Just sharing my 2 cents.
What a great little spot in Tucker. The kind gentleman in charge was so easy to work with. He got me out of a tight spot and rushed a quick repair. Pricing very reasonable. I’m a loyal customer now. Love doing business locally.
My leather dance shoes had been ruined by another shoe cobbler so I went here for help and I was not disappointed! He did great quality work at a very affordable price! He listened carefully to all of my concerns (and I had many since these are dance shoes) and did a fantastic job! Ive been dancing in these shoes for weeks now and they are doing great! Highly recommend!
Ive brought n a couple of pairs of Footjoy (Classics) golf shoes - and had soles replaced with new walking soles. Not cheap - but very high quality/workmanship. Will be taking in another pair tomorrow to have soles replaced. Excellent selection replacement soles choose - as well good stock of shoe polish that you cant get anywhere else.
I called to ask if they could shine a pair of shoes while I waited. They were willing to accommodate me. I did not ask for a price over the phone. When I got to the store, the proprietor was nice enough but informed me that it would be $20! When I acted surprised, he said he gets $20-$25 to shine a pair of shoes. This store is in Tucker, not Manhattan! I will wait until I am back in Buckhead and stop by Bennies Shoes for my regular and excellent $8 shine.
Amazing work! very skilled at this craft. Always pleasant and prompt experience when trusting my favorite shoes to him! thank you!!!
I have used Larrys services for several years now and he always does a fabulous job on my shoes whether it is a simple freshen up or resoling. He is always very good about calling me to discuss what repairs may be needed and the price so there are no surprises. It is definitely difficult to find this level of craftsmanship and attention to service in this day and age!
Larry did a great job fixing my red bottoms..... super nice quick and not to pricey. Will definitely be coming back
I had my nearly 20-year old boots repaired by Village Shoe Service and I couldnt be happier! These boots are good boots -- Aigner riding boots that I purchased gently loved more than 15 years ago -- that were beginning to show extreme signs of wear. The sole was coming apart at the toe and the heels were worn. But they are good boots, and I couldnt bear to part with them. So I had Village Shoe Service work on them by replacing a half sole. I got them back today and they look better than the day I bought them. Theyll definitely last another 20 years. Thank you to the folks at Village Shoe Service -- very nice, knowledgeable, honest folks with whom Ill continue to business. VERY happy with everything -- thanks!!
Got me some Telic sandals. Larry had all the sizes and helped me get the right one. Same price as online. Nice to have friendly and competent salespeople.
I asked my husband to take my favorite pair riding boots to the shoe shop. Even told him where to take them. He took them to this shop which was convenient for him. He paid 45.00 up front it took them 4 weeks to get them back and look what 45.00 got me. A pair of riding boots that I can’t zip to the top. So they are no longer riding bootsNote with the patch they put on I am 2 inches away from top.BEWARE OF THIS SHOP, ask them how they are going to fix your shoes. I sent the other boot because I thought they were going to replace the zipper.
I LOOOVE this place! I cant say enough good things about it. I use him for everything from heel taps to stretching womens shoes and mens work boots, to re-finishing vintage baby shoes. Reasonably priced, great work, great advice for people with bad feet. You must go here!
My shoes require pretty extensive modifications due to an accident 25 years ago. When McMahan Shoes ( who did my work the first 22 years) closed, Larry and Village Shoe Service were recommended to me by one of the retailers that I purchased shoes from. Larry has done a fabulous job in handling the mods to my shoes, as well as making the custom orthotics that I need in the shoes! Excellent quality work. I highly recommend Larry and Village to anyone who needs any type of shoe work done—you won’t be disappointed!Rusty Balch, VERY satisfied customer
