My 2004 F150 had the passenger side window regulator fail and the window dropped into the door. Their soonest availability was about a week out, but managed to schedule me in just 3 days after the part failed. I dropped off the vehicle in the morning and didnt have the chance to eat lunch before they called to tell me it was ready for pick up - and under their estimated cost. Offered rides to/from the shop (declined because I made arrangements prior). Very professional, extremely nice, under budget. Would return for other mechanic needs, 5 stars.

I had a GREAT experience with Gibbs. At every stage they were excellent. It started off when my step-dad called Gibbs on my behalf from Canada because hed seen good reviews on Yelp. George of Gibbs was very informative to him, and then later to me. Even offering to call my parents in Canada if needed. He applied no pressure at any point. In fact, the first time I brought my car in to be inspected for repair needs, they put it up in the hoist, found what was wrong, made temporary bandaid fixes (e.g., zip-tying things to secure them) so that I could drive the car in the short-term. He didnt me for any of that. Then on the day of my service, they gave me a ride to and/from the car dealership I was renting from while my car was being worked on. 100% would recommend. Even though theyre on the complete other end of town from me (Im in Marana, theyre in East Tucson), Id still go back.

My car wouldn’t start when going to pick up my son from school and, as a single parent one-car family, that was a terrifying prospect. I did a bit of research on the internet and saw Gibbs was highly recommended and decided to give them a call. I spoke with George and, although they were already incredibly busy, they knew I was desperate and offered to take a quick look. They found it was a simple fix, ordered the part and had it ready by the end of the day. They also did an inspection to alert me to any other problems since it hadn’t been maintenances in a while. What I valued most about my experience with Gibbs is that no one tried to up-sell me. Ive been driving and taking my cars to various shops for over 15 years, and this is the only time I was never told that my car needed work beyond what I had requested. They have earned my loyalty for as long as I live in Tucson. Additionally, the person who picked me up from my house to bring me to the shop for pickup was a delight. The work done was excellent. My only concern was the cost of parts. After investigating, I found that the some of the exact same parts were a lot less than I was charged. Be sure to find out where the parts are being purchased from and ask to see the invoices for them.

My antique 1997 Nissan Sentras brake light sensor bit the dust on a Friday. I showed up at 4:30pm with my brake lights stuck in the on position. Gibbs pulled my chops out of the fire with a temporary on the spot fix that got me through the weekend without any fuss. They ordered the part and installed it on the following Wednesday. Saw the great ratings for Gibbs when my usual shop couldnt do the work I needed. They were literally half the price compared to the dealer, got the work done in time (cut it close though! ), were professional and explained options in terms I could understand. Will definitely use them again!

I live out of town but chose GIBBS Auto Service because of the positive reviews (and they were a shop that my warranty covered). They were so friendly and helpful, I felt like I was at a small-town business. They kept me informed and helped every step of the way, I highly recommend them!

As a woman needing my car worked on I am always a little leery of going into a new shop. When I entered I noticed how clean the office was, then I was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable man. George was patient and very understanding. My car was treated as if it was a rare jewel. The prices are extremely reasonable and comparable with other shops.

There are less expensive places to have your car repaired. I thought I needed a new transmission, until George called me to explain that the transmission was fine and all I needed was to fix some burned wiring. The guys at GIBBS took care of me while I was traveling to fix my transmission, they noticed some issues with my radiator that could of been very problematic, they got everything done on time and offered some more assistance with my vehicle. Gibbs did a pre-delivery inspection on my truck. They were thorough, and gave me details about the maintenance schedule, and what needed to be done. They were not pushy. I had one of their recommendations checked out and found them accurate. I would use them again.

The engine on my 2000 F150 was misfiring on a couple cylinders, and, given its age, I asked George (the manager) to do a full inspection while he had it and let me know what his recommendations and my options were. They did a great job letting me know what needed attention, what the priorities were, and what prices Id be looking at. They replaced the engine intake manifold to get the engine running smoothly again and took time to carefully explain all their other recommendations for future repair. Theyre honest here and dont recommend things you dont need. Ill definitely be a repeat customer.

Always a good experience at Gibbs. Not everyone can work on a Smart Car and those who can usually charge a premium. Gibbs is always honest about the needed service and their rates are very fair.

Correction to the statement about the head gasket it was a valve cover gasket. There was some miscommunication cause I asked them when I picked up my vehicle about the head gasket and how the drain plugged looked from emptying the oil (a required step for a head gasket) and they said they didnt empty it. Which raised red flags. I then reviewed my receipt and saw it was a valve cover gasket. But my concern is still the fact that I had a heavy oil leak and a low oil pressure light, and during the diagnosis the plug wasnt pulled to check for metal._______________________________________________The maintenance team did a great job, they were 2 days over what they quoted me but it was due to parts. My only concern was I had a low oil pressure problem with a heavy oil leak and the didnt pull my drain plug to make sure there wasnt any metal due too the car having considerable oil loss and the possibility of internal damage is moderate. I addressed this and am having to come back to do an oil change. Over all satisfied.

Friendly and knowledgeable

I havent had a thorough interaction with GIBBS yet, but so far, theyve given me a great experience. Even though they were backlogged and scheduled out for a few weeks, they still squeezed in the time to help diagnose the problem my vehicle was having. I didnt need any rides anywhere, but they offered to drive me somewhere if I needed it. After walking around the corner to get something to eat, I came back, and they had the vehicle diagnosed. No repairs were done yet, but they gave me a quote for the services they would recommend, and explained exactly why they recommend these particular parts replaced, and what service should be done. Even after making the time to look at my vehicle while theyre backlogged, they kindly did not charge me for the diagnosis, though I would have gladly paid for their time. From what Ive seen, I can definitely recommend them, based on their customer service.

I have taken my truck into their shop 3 or 4 times for preventive maintenance and George (shop mgr.) has won me over. Gibbs policy is to give you suggestions about things that you need to consider doing in the future without putting sales pressure on you during your initial visit.
