I am from New Jersey and I know bagels. Excellent quality, service, and prices. Very good coffee too. If there is a better bagel in Tucson I do not know of it.

This place is absolutely amazing! I love that it is family owned and that the employees are not worked to the bone. That is why the food is always delicious and the customer service on point. That’s what happens when you treat your employees well and have passion in your business. I see a lot of comments complaining about the hours. It is so interesting to me that people will write a bad review because THEY failed to pick up the phone to call and see if said business is open. It takes literal seconds. Keep up the great work! The baked goodies are delicious! I always look forward to those.

Good bagels, friendly service, never a line. Bagels are much better than Brueggers (too hard and chewy) or Einstein Bros (too soft). These are supposedly Boston style although as Ive never been to Boston I cannot confirm. What I can say is that this is the closest to a New York bagel shop as exists in Tucson and is my favorite place for bagels in Tucson.

This is the best bagel in Tucson. It Is not one stop shop like other places and they sell out quick. But get there right at 7 and your in for a treat

Their bagels are really good, when they are open! They close for random weeks at a time and aren’t open Sunday and Mondays and close very early the days they are open. How they pay their rent is beyond me. When you are a restaurant/food business you should be open 7 days a week and at least until 7pm! In my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️

Finally made it to The Bagel Joint. Ive driven by so many times telling myself that I have to try out their bagels. So I did.The bagels are nice and fluffy, flavorful, and in my view these are the best bagels in town. Bon apatite! Enjoy!

Went to pick up lunch with a friend. Had a garlic bagel grown up grill cheese. Tasty. Not too many bagel choices to choose from.

Went this am to get a half dozen and a sandwich. The bagels and sandwich were both delicious! So much better than other places in town. We will be coming back soon!

The Lox & Cream cheese, with the works, was great. My wife & I split one on a toasted plain bagel. Its a quality fresh water bagel & surprisingly filling for both of us. Their apple, cinnamon and walnut bread for dessert topped it all off. We live in the far Northeast side but we definitely will be back when conducting business in the area. Very friendly people.

Of all the fancy sandwiches anyone can get around town, a simple everything bagel alone will blow your mind.True story: We went in this morning for the second time for a couple of everything bagels that were still going to be in the oven for ten minutes. After I told her we’d wait (because it was worth it!) the young lady helping me offered to take my order and let me pay before I waited outside. My partner decided to go get gas, so when we got back I went to the counter to check on our order, but instead our cashier had waited to cut and load our bagels fresh when I walked in the door, so that they could be absolutely perfect when I walked up. It’s that kind of personal touch that every business needs to make us newcomers feel like family. A++!!

I ordered the Bagel & Lox, OMG! I personally love salmon, in any form, but this bagel though, was the best bagel sandwich I have ever had. Let start with the bagel, it saw so fresh the bagel it self would of been enough, so soft as well but also sturdy to hold a sandwich, I had the everything bagel. The taste of the everything bagel on its own was delicious.Now the Bagel & Lox sandwich, so the salmon was perfectly smoke, the salmon was creamy and savoury, just how salmon should taste. The capers really complimented the whole creaminess of the sandwich well, the onions and tomato gave it a refreshing balance with it mild acidity. Over the BEST Salmon sandwich I have ever had. Would be a must for any salmon lovers out there. My girlfriend ordered the strongman she love it, I had a bite and it was delicious.Now the staff, well they care. I called in a order ahead of time, I also ordered a Boston dozen and they recommend I pick them out when I get there because they want to make sure I got the freshest bagels possible. They are really busy when they are open so all the employees were working on all the orders. My order was ready in 5 minutes great fast service.Ok I still give them 5 stars and would recommend them to anyone, the only thing I saw that could use some attention was there was some cobwebs in both corners of the front entrance and a tile was misplaced on the ceiling. The rest of the facility was clean though, that was my only criticism. Love this place cant wait to go back.

We normally come here every weekend. Today I decided to call in my order so I don’t have to wait. I ordered my usual but the old lady taking my order said they were out of garlic and blueberry bagels. I placed my order. When it was time to pick up- I saw they have garlic bagels and blueberries. I told her to to slice the bagels and go easy on my cream cheese. NOTHING WAS FOLLOWED ON MY ORDER. The bagels were not sliced nor toasted, plus I got lied to.

The Bagel Joint is a phenomenal restaraunt that is great for any time of day. They have fantastic bagels and an assortment of cream cheese, including flavors you arent likely to find anywhere else and whike they are amazing, I really love the sandwiches. The bagel sandwiches here are to die for, if youre in the mood for breakfast or lunch sandwiches, they have you covered with a variety of different options for each. Bagels Where different sizes some where fresh so they were not baked at same time they have a machine. So I dont know what happened I got there when they opened but as usual they make a decent bagel. Better than anyone else in az. Im from New York there is no comparison but Ill still be a customer

Looks like a nice place. My first time in to this business. It was pretty busy and on a Sunday but its a bagel shop not a sit down restaurant... They told me I would have to wait 30 minutes or longer for an everything bagel with cream cheese on it. There were maybe 8 orders in front of mine with 3 people working the kitchen. Maybe, Im just unaccustomed to the whole bagel world, but damn, who in their right mind waits 30 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese on it? Not me. As if thats the point though; how the hell does it take 30 minutes to make toast a bagel and put cream cheese on it!?

The bagels are fantastic!! The texture is perfect...tender, not all dry and tough. The stuff they put in the bagels is pretty wonderful too. The staff is very informative, helpful and fun to talk to. Nothing is pre-made (yay). A pretty cool place.

Very dissapointed, last visit. Chaos in the small space. No one answering the phone. Tried 3 different times. No organization. No cleanliness. Gloves not changed out on workers. Nothing cleaned or sanitized. No hand washing. My order was wring & dissapointing. Get the same order always. Always made different, depwnding on whose working.

My Fiancée and I really like this place. Simple, affordable and good bagels and bagel sandwiches. My only reason for no 5 star is the beverage selection. Otherwise, definitely recommend over the large franchise places

I’ve come here a few times and have had good bagels though bruegers have been better TBJ have been almost as good for a change of pace. Today though the lady taking my Oder had such an attitude I will never go back. I asked for my everything bagels to go in a separate bag from my plain. That was obviously too much of an imposition. From that point on I got stares and head shakes. I also asked for a tiny cup for everything seeds that had fallen off the bagels below to add for bagels with less than normal seeds. I’ve asked for the same at bruegers and never any attitude...just “sure thing”. In a service business to make the customer feel like a problem is a sure fire way to send business down the block. Bruegers will get my business from now on.

This guy KNOWS HIS BAGELS.My girlfriend and I have fallen in love with this place, the owner has such a friendly approach to life, we always so welcome in his store.Lets get down to brass tacks though, how are the bagels?Damn amazing. I dont know what he does, but they have a special bagel recipe going on there, that keep the bagels moist on the inside, and firm on the outside. All the flavors are just on point, and he does not skimp out on his bagel sandwiches.My personal favorite thing there is the Arizona strong man on a jalapeno bagel. My girlfriend goes for the classic onion bagel with jalapeno cream cheese.if you havent been, this place is an amazing way to start your day. Oh, and a chat with the owner, he is sure to give you a laugh.

The best bagels in Arizona, for sure.Claires in Catalina uses the Bagel Joints fresh bagels for their Lox and Bagels breakfast menu item and we fell in love with them immediately. Claire shared her secret and now we buy them direct from the Bagel Joint by the Boston bakers dozen (14) and can hardly wait to get home and toast em up. Their breakfast sandwiches are excellent as well as everything else that weve tried on our bi-weekly visits. Oh, and even more amazing, these people are friendly, patient, and go out of their way to give you what you want.Bingo !!

The only true bagels made in Tucson, theyre from back East, and THEY KNOW WHAT THEYRE DOING. Ill drive half an hour to get here just to get bagels in the morning. Well worth it. A full dozen will never make it home, because who can resist warm bagels? I mean warm bagels that are warm from just having been baked after having been boiled oh my God oh my God oh my God oh my God my God. Go right when they open, and you will never go anywhere else. Theres a Brueggers within walking distance of my house. I smile and wave as I head off to over an hour of warranted driving.

This is like a family run business not like walking into a commercial chain bagel shop love the informal hole in the wall atmosphere so far everything Ive tried including the cream cheese has been terrific...

My second trip here first time was great. This trip was ok. The bagel for my daughter was wrong. She asked for strawberry cream cheese. It was plain. My coffee lid smell odd. Diesel or gasoline smell to lid. They do make good bagels.

Update to original review: I love the bagels here but this business is absolutely not taking the current health crisis seriously. No masks in sight, dining area is open. I will not be returning in the near term.Amazing bagels, the best Ive had in Tucson. Their sandwiches are great too, and the blueberry muffins have the perfect texture. I can also say their cookie dough-Oreo-brownie bars are very tasty if you want something sweeter.

I drive 12 mile out of my way most Sundays because they are the only locally owned bagel shop in the Tucson area. So good! I like the jalapeno bagel with cream cheese or the smoke salmon spred. I sit outside and look at the Catalina mountains and enjoy my Sundays.

Been in Tucson since 1996 and finally a New York Bagel, One of the things we would go eat when we went back east, now we have it here in Tucson, Anytime i get them people asked me where i got them. So goodbye to the bread with a hole in it, now we have real bagels in town. My youngest wants bagels for breakfast on his birthday so off we go.

Their bagel dough is SO MUCH more flavorful than any of the bagel chains in town. Its also a good balance between light and dense, crispy when toasted. When Im in the mood for bagel and cream cheese this is a slam dunk! If I never had to eat anybody elses bagels for the rest of my life Id be happy.

Ordered the turkey sandwich and was EXCELLENT! Bagel was fresh and amazing, had great amount of meat and everything else, all fresh for an outstanding price. Definitely would come back and suggest for a wonderful lunch or breakfast, thank you!
