Really lovely little thrift store. Usually there is always great finds. The woman who owns the place is amazing. The manager however, who has a short blunt bob- is super rude. She’s been rude to me on 2 separate occasions. She’s also rude to other employees in front of customers, and pokes fun at customers when they leave. Other than the manager the place is amazing. There’s a younger girl who has black hair, she’s AMAZING. Super sweet, super stylish, and she makes amazing suggestions. 👏🏼💕

This is the cutest thrift store I’ve ever been too!The manager was so amazing to every customer coming in, great personality and amazing customer service! Even though it looked like she was alone she really did a great job ! Plus the store dose not smell like a thrift store ! Can’t wait to be back

I love this place! I sell here frequently and I think they are the best in town. But it does take more time to than Platos or Twice as nice. The buyers really look over the clothes well and then give you a fair price. I just make sure I get there right after they open so I wont be waiting for a long time. The store has amazing stuff and even larger sizes which you dont see at Platos. I love shopping their sales. You can get so many trendy and designer items for great prices. I have recommended this store to many of my friends.

I have had amazing experiences buying and selling clothes here. It is much better than all the other secondhand retail stores I have been to. Heather is so sweet and goes above and beyond for me every time I come here!

Unfortunately had a bad experience here. I came in the afternoon to sell some clothes and was told there was a 2 hour wait.( I really should have came in the morning)I did not want to sit around for 2 hours, so I dropped off my clothes and left my phone number. When I was unable to come back in that night to retrieve my things, I had to basically forfeit them as they dont hold things overnight?! They also wont tell you the value of the clothes over the phone? I was pretty bummed out 😤

I absolutely love this place very friendly and helpful staff I’ve never had to wait more than an hour I know they actually found some really great stuff that I would never buy otherwise A++++

I usually always love coming here but my last few visits have been AWFUL the person at the register on September 10 @2:50 was beyond RUDE! She had a attitude and has horrible customer service she also added her own clothing to my bill and forgot to take it out of my pile and then tried to get me to reject my refund because it was store credit! She is someone who makes me NEVER want to come back here. Little Mexican girl with overdone eyeliner. I sure hope the owner or manager reach out to me. Just looked at the receipt and her name is Nandi. RUDE AS ALL GET OUT

Good store for brand name clothes for less than retail. Clean store, friendly staff and everything is well labeled. Think of it as a forever 21 of thrift stores. Prices are about 40% higher than a goodwill, but quality is better to. Great store for small to regular large sizes. Slim pickings for plus sized. Trendy and great for teens and young adults.

I brought a few items in to sell, 4 to be exact, and I’ve sold here before and it was fine, not the most welcoming either of my visits as no one said anything to me before or while I checked in until I asked where I should place the items I brought in. I was really confused as I was asked to pick up my things before 3pm, I checked in around 2, and clearly heard the buyer tell other customers they could leave their things until 7. So I was given a 30 minute wait time, waited in the store and was given a callback to which I told the buyer I was still in the store, she said “Oh I’ve been calling you for the past x minutes” and they didn’t take anything this time, which I get but “thanks for trying”? I don’t know... it didn’t sit right with me. I don’t think I’ll come in again as it’s fine unless you want hospitality which can’t be expected from everyone

The girls here are so AMAZING! I came in looking for a dress to wear to my friends wedding and I tried on more the 10 dresses and they were very nice about helping me. Even a girl I believe she’s the manager short blonde hair she stopped doing something to help me look for a dress, shoes and jewelry she even pulled out some from the back for me to see (props to who ever hired her) It was an amazing experience over all. I will definitely be coming back and tell my girls about it !

I am so excited to have found this hidden treasure! I was extremely impressed with the quality and selection. I literally had to drag myself out of the store after 2 hours and well over $200 spent. I appreciate the opportunity to rock brands that I could never afford brand new. Everything is in good-like new condition. The prices arent super low but I felt very satisfied when i considered the original value and the quality of my purchases! Are your sales posted? Staff was great too!

I love this place and Heather is just the sweetest person... but I think this was actually my first experience as seller that was a Debbie downer... the 2 young ladies that were working seemed to interested in what they wanted to buy instead of focusing on the job.... this was definitely my last time selling here. Nothing against the owner she’s a terrific person

The worst customer service Ive ever had. I highly suggest you find somewhere else to sell clothes. They acted as if it was an inconvenience for me to be there. They were just sitting there talking to each other. They also just threw my bags of clothes on the ground in front of me when I came to get them. They deserve zero stars.

This is my new favorite thrift shop!! Lulu was so nice and helpful! Way better than Buffalo exchange. The store is clean and they have so many cute options and sales. They don’t have bags, which I don’t mind. So make sure to bring one! I will definitely be going back again. :)

I have discovered Uptown Cheapskate after the closing of Twice As Nice. I have yet to bring clothes in for trade, but enjoy my buying experience every time. Very nice clothes, fair prices, friendly employees, and a convenient location.

Came here to sell clothes and it was unorganized. They wanted to pay me for a pair of shoes and I didn’t even bring in any shoes??? They also misplaced one of my items. I had to call them after I left to see what had happened and they couldn’t even tell me why I was paid for another persons shoes and my blouse was gone missing. They just ended up saying that they money for someone else’s shoes would cover the cost of the blouse. Glad I got paid for my items, they definitely gave me more than I’ve gotten other places. I think the employees just need a bit more training. Overall it was a nice place. Don’t know if I would come here again.

This is a very well stocked, very clean shop with lots of clothing choices for women and men. Prices are excellent. Also important is that I have been in there three times and every time was greeted courteously by the cheerful and friendly staff. It is a pleasure to shop at Uptown Cheapskate 😁.

A great place that is always packed with goodies. The reason for only 3 stars is because I arrived in plenty of time to find out they were already closed. We are far enough into the changed world to update the hours on the websites and keep the people that are keeping places in business a little more informed.

This was my first time coming to Uptown and could not have had a better experience! When you come to a lot of second hand stores you get mildly neglected, like you are interfering with the employees. You will not receive this treatment at Uptown. When you are here, you are family! The selection is much more big city boutique than any other shop in town.I love this shop! Go local, Go Uptown!

The first time I sold here I was so impressed, I think the owner helped me and she was super helpful and nice. Since then I have had horrible service. Today they quoted me 45 minutes to sell my stuff and 2 hours later they still weren’t done. The asked about it at the 1 hour mark and the employee was snarky with me. While the prices are good if the employees are going to be disrespectful to me as a customer I won’t tolerate that. Very disappointed

This store makes me miss the Clothes Mentor in my old town. The service was fine. The clothes they offer and buy are too similar to Plato’s closet. They have a few high end items but I would say 90% of the store is boutique brands and fast fashion brands like forever 21. It must cater to a younger clientele. Not a lot of mid range brands like ann Taylor or j.crew. It’s a long drive for me so I probably won’t be back.

I love, love, LOVE this store! Ive been just twice and both times I was surprised to find soooo many great deals. My favorite thing is a dress that looks like it was made for me--it was only $8 and would probably have been $40 new. The store itself has a really nice ambiance, its very organized, the changing rooms are a nice size, and the customer service is awesome. Its a fun place to hang out and shop. If youre in Tucson and you havent been here yet, you really need to check it out! Even if you live on another side of town, its worth the drive. I promise.

Went in looking for some black wedges with a cork heel. After looking many places, went in and found exactly what I was looking for at the great price of $7.99!! At the register I happened to see a Michael Kors wallet in exceptional shape, it was the exact style of the inside I was looking for and it was to great of a price to pass up, only $24.99! It looks like new! I will definitely be going more frequently.

Not much for shopping, and I never put much thought into thrift stores but this place wasnt what I expected. The staff met us at the door with a special offer and smiles. My mother in law, sister in law, and my wife found styles they liked and the price was easy on my wallet. 3 different body types and age. All left happy!Not sure about previous reviews, but Im always wary of people who only review places to the negative.

So I went in here like a weeks ago and all I want to say is I’m very disappointed. This place has gone so downhill since the last time I was in. They only have like 3 employees. I feel very judge by the lady with the short blonde hair every time I go in. The store is messy and they have like no product. Also when I went in to sell they were at like a 24 hour wait? They have never been like this.. this place is not what it use to be. When they had the girl with long brown hair and the girl with short blackish hair they were so nice! I will say though I had great customer service from the black girl! She was great! But other than that this place is not the same with the new owners. It’s sad. Don’t waste your money.

The store is OK, they sell many outdated items and these dont come cheap. I find I can buy much better and more stylish items (and obviously new) in Ross or Marshalls MUCH cheaper. They will rarely buy your used clothes (even new with tags or never worn) claiming its not their style, meanwhile many clothes they have on the floor are pretty outdated and look used. If they do decide to buy something they will offer next to nothing.

Very excellent place. It is my go to thrift store in NW Tucson, the staff is fabulous and I love the brands they have!! Marc Jacobs, Prada, etc! My only arguments are that it doesn’t offer children’s clothes and sometimes the price is higher than I expect.

The good: Clean store with good selection.The bad: I understand buying used clothes is not profitable for the seller. However, I did not expect such a low offer for what I brought in. My advice is to choose this place as a last resort for selling clothes. The value placed on your clothes will be the equivalent to that of a yard sale.

Id rather sell here than platos they are always fair here and the ladies are always super nice and helpful, I love shopping as well as trading my clothes wouldnt go anywhere else.

Was in there, digging the chill vibes. I was greeted politely and I headed towards the men’s area and found some brand new killer Tees. Furthermore, the prices are great and Amey (Sales person) made checking out super easy.

Love this place we never leave without something. Customer service is excellent we feel like coming back to shop it’s actually one of my fiancé’s favorite place to shop.

Honestly... I worked for them for almost a year last year, within 3 months of working there I got promoted to a store manager - 10 months into it, I demoted myself back to a normal keyholder because the pressure the owners put on me was messing with my mental health, they expected me to dedicate my entire life to it, 24 hours 7 days a week.. FOR A RETAIL JOB and if I didn’t I “wasn’t taking my position as store manager serious”, the owners of course didn’t like it, so they started cutting all my shifts and I ended up quitting. They wrote me up before I demoted myself so I wasn’t able to file for unemployment when I did end up leaving. The owners of Uptown Cheapskate Tucson are awful people :)

My girlfriend and I love this place. We dont do much shopping for clothes anymore but when we do, we go here. Staff is SUPER friendly and helpful. Thye have a really good selection for guys. Highly recommended.
