Really gave this place a try, as theres no competition this part of town. Went 3 or 4 times. Watery lackluster coffee, dry pastries, burrito has strangely chewy egg inside. Struck me as not much care was put into food, which is disappointing. It could obviously be a better coffee shop with only a little more effort. That said, its a good enough place to sit and chat or work.
Pretty good overall. The folks working here were super pleasant. The vibe is good too. My only issue was that instead of asking if wanted a straw they plopped one into the cup. Im not a fan of straws and definitely not big on my drink being penetrated without consent.
A little slow at times, bit overall very nice! The employees are always amazing, never had a bad interaction with them :)
Food was not very good.coffee was week. Did not try pastry which did look good
Great service, happy with my coffee frappe and bearclaw pastry! Theres a nice little patio with some shade and inside has plenty of tables as well. Oddly beer or alcoholic beverages are available but I have not tried any. Overall, love this place and will be returning!
I used to LOVE the coffee here, unfortunately the last two times have been disappointing. I went yesterday, got a pumpkin latte-got back basically an iced milk with no pumpkin taste 👎. Decided to try again today, mocha frappe (used to be my go to here). Got back all chocolate and ice that was not blended all the way. Not to mention I feel bombarded for a tip Everytime. Wont be coming here anymore unfortunately.
Friendly staff and great coffee! Had a Marana Mocha and it was delicious! Great little spot to meet a friend and catch up. Indoor and outdoor seating. I’ll be back here to try more.
Great place for coffee. They have a drive thru and employees are welcoming and helpful. They also have a great patio! I enjoyed my visit.
Workers are always cheerful! They have Wifi and outdoor tables. Music is not too loud and they have ice cold water for self-serve and a reward system. Drink prices are reasonably priced, however; I think their lunch sandwiches such as BLT with side for $10 is priced too high. They do however; make perfect Lattes
Recently visited the location on wetmore road and had a less than enjoyable experience I had to return the food that I got due to a long black hair found in it the food was not cooked when ordered as such and it was prepared with no care the coffee that I had prepared always has coffee grounds at the bottom when I took my coffee back and had them remake it they were friendly about the experience only to receive a coffee with a hair floating on the top of it I promptly returned to the location to show them and they spilled the top and told me they didnt see it I advise going somewhere else and i will not personally be back I advise everybody who goes here to double check your order maybe even triple check
Coffee is good but I keep getting a good amount of coffee ground in the bottom of my cup
This 0lace seems awesome! I think they serve alcohol too...
I ordered a latte and waited. I tried to get the attention of the baristas, who assiduously ignored me. This meant that I had to wait at the end of the line to ask where my coffee might be. I checked my payment confirmation email and saw that it had been 18 min. since I had ordered. I noted this to a certain barista. Rather than apologize, she asked me what drink it was and the size. I left a pregnant pause, to which she was either oblivious or which she dutifully ignored. She said that it would be a minute. Wait, what? I asked her why she wouldn’t apologize. She ignored me. I posed the question at least three (3) more times, appealing to the values her parents and coaches might have taught her. She ignored me each time, but her friend chimed in and told me that the drink would be right up. I asked her what the source of her pride and arrogance was, and she ignored me, except to say that she’d already apologized (she hadn’t).After I was seated, a man approached claiming to be the owner. He did not offer to shake my hand or offer his name. He did not sit at my table or ask to be seated. Rather, he hovered creepily and menacingly over me. He asked me what happened, and I quietly told him (I felt it was poor taste to hold the conversation publicly inside the café’s lone room, within earshot of staff and other patrons). I kept looking outside, indicating with my body language that I would prefer to have this conversation privately on the patio, but he ignored me. Instead, he kept asking me whether I was upset about the wait. I told him no: I was prepared to overlook the wait provided I received an appropriate apology. He kept repeating his question, as if he had heard nothing I had just told him. I said that to err is human, but the common courtesy of an apology tends to smooth over many sins and omissions. After this, I thought that the incident had passed. I was wrong.Suddenly, he approached me with an angry and aggressive look on his face. He indicated that one girl was crying (I saw her, but saw no tears), and the other was very upset, even though I had spoken to only one woman, and that “I can’t have that.” I told him that sometimes people (such as my nieces) turn on the tears to get sympathy when they know that they are wrong. He ignored me and said that staff had described me as “aggressive.” I told him that asking questions in a normal tone of voice is not aggressive. He got madder. I asked him what they said I had done, but he did not answer. I invited him to talk to the table of three old ladies seated directly behind (~ 2 meters) the counter where I had addressed staff earlier, who would attest if I had made a scene. He said that he wasn’t interested in doing that, but that he would check the security tape. He raised his hand and disappeared into the kitchen. Later, I approach the counter to see whether he was finished with his security footage review, and he came out aggressively and angrily. I asked him what the video showed, but he wouldn’t answer. I again invited him to talk to the table of three old ladies, but he refused. When I asked him what the tape showed, he said, “I don’t need anything from you.” He told me to find a new coffee shop. I told him that I am a lawyer in Minnesota, and he said snidely, “Good for you.” I told him that he does not get to call me, a man of integrity, a liar, and that he was being manipulated, and he said, “yeah, by you.” Aghast, I advised him to talk to the old ladies, but he refused, so I approached them myself, and they said that they had noticed nothing regarding my conversation earlier. While I spoke to the old ladies, the owner was leering aggressively from behind the counter, his face growing redder, and I invited him to ask the old ladies, and I asked the old ladies to talk to him and tell him that they had heard nothing out of the ordinary. He was infuriated and again refused, and I felt that he intimidated them with his demeanor. He pointed to the door and told me aggressively to leave, which I did.Bravo! You win the gaslighting villain of the week award.
Wanted to support local. Strawberry banana smoothie is so sugary it is terrible. Dumped it out. Really sad about it. Wish they would just use fruit and no sweeteners as I love to do local. Very dissapoited.
Great coffee at a good price and excellent service.
Very comfy atmosphere, fun staff, and the owners are amazing people! If that wasnt enough, this place has great drinks and food, definitely recommend them alot to others 👍👏👏✌️✌️✌️Go check them out and enjoy!! One of my favorite syrups they use is Toasted Marshmallow... Enough said 😜
Joyful staff and the sandwich was huge! I had Brunch in one shot
I went this morning to get a few coffees and wow! An amazing place! The coffee was great and the employees were very friendly and fast. I was in and out of there. I highly recommend. I am excited to try the other things there. I will be going back for sure!
Great coffee in the NW. Good customer service and its always clean!
This place is awesome! I literally can not believe how nice every single employee has been! I can’t think of another company that I have been to that I have experienced this (large or small). I 100% recommend this place to everyone that stops for a pick me up during the day!!!
Stopped by to help fix a leak in the back of the building, owner was so awesome and friendly, even offered me a coffee it was sooo good! Definitely recommend and they have food and sweets! 5 stars!! ✊
Great little local coffee shop with nice treats as well. I especially like their nitro cold brew
It was my first time stopping by this coffee shop. I only knew about it because I was hearing all of the hype about their new location. I decided to stop by and support local.I ended up ordering the Ragin Roadrunner which includes mocha and banana syrup. This drink is similar to the banana bread breve from Dutch Bros. So if youre looking to support local stop by Roadrunner Coffee Co.- @megsthemarketer
Stopped in yesterday for lunch. Prices were reasonable, portions huge, food delicious. Employees very welcoming, pleasant and efficient. Covid protocol followed. Parking easy in and out. Very nice experience, highly recommend.
Always a great breakfast coffee stop. Friendly welcoming service, great products, in a quaint environment -- what more could you ask for?Well loved and supported by the locals. Whether you are looking for a quick drink and a bite to go, or wanting to enjoy a relaxed morning -- this place comes highly recommended.
Ordered matcha latte, cold brew and a chicken salad sandwich.Matcha tastes super powdery/artificial (as opposed to typical ceremonial matcha), but the cold brew and sandwich were great. Super friendly staff as well
Baristas are very nice and accommodating to customers. They have a lot of different options regarding drinks and alternative milks. I love how its local too, it definitely has a more communal vibe than the average coffee chain. Im only 7 min away so its a nice option to have the drive thru before my job. I am a frequent customer. (:
Awesome! First time here and its so cute! I was really impressed by the prices because I want to start supporting and buying local, and boycotting big business like Starbucks. Their prices here are VERY reasonable for a locally owned and operated coffee shop. Also, their baked goods are local too! Love this! Great menu, good service, drive thru was just a little slower but good if you have a few extra minutes.
The coffee was good and the environment is a cool place to talk.
Great place. Front patio.
Delicious food and coffee, wonderful staff!
Inconsistent. I am always charged $2 for a small black coffee. My wife is always charged $2.25. When asked why, she was told that my small black coffee is a special brew.Depending who is at the window determines if they ask for your phone number. I have to always say, Heres my number.Im done.
Very good latte, below average food, and seemingly confused staff. I went at 10am on a Wednesday, so there were not many customers. I completed my purchase without being asked what options I wanted for the veggie breakfast sandwich. I received my drink and was standing waiting on the food. After standing there for a while, the same person who took my order asked if I was waiting on food. Turns out it had been ready, but they forgot who it belong to. The time that I was waiting, the staff asked each other many questions seeming to be a little confused about what was going on with many orders. Good coffee, not great staff.
Excellent customer service, reasonable prices, and the coffee is top notch!
Outstanding local coffee spot
Lavender mocha is delicious. Great day to sit outside and visit with a friend
This is a nice little coffee shop. The staff was friendly and fast. I tried the Marana Mocha and the breakfast sandwhich. The Marana Mocha was good, a little light on the Mocha flavor. The sandwich was good also, egg with your choice of meat and cheese on a croissant and only $5. The other sandwiches seemed a little pricey. Its a good place to hang out.
I always get the Americano and my wife gets a lateThey always take the time to make the drinks just right and never feels rushed. I love how busy they get and yet manage to keep the quality of their drinks above expectations
Cold brew is really good. Wife got the prickly pear iced tea. Cut with a little lemonade at the employees suggestion. Tastes great! Cool little place.
I’ve been here about 8 times and 4 of those times the drive-through has gotten my order wrong. Today bacon was added to my breakfast sandwich and, as a vegetarian, I clearly didn’t ask for it. I didn’t discover it until I was too far away so I called to let them know and no solution or refund was offered. Just a “thanks for letting us know.”I want to support local small business but when the service/accuracy is this bad I give up.
I only use the drive up and love their coffee and the staff are always polite and pleasant. I love supporting local businesses. I drive by every day on my way to work but just started frequenting this place 2 weeks ago.
Friendly staff and good coffee
Cute clean coffee shop with good coffee, pastries and even beer! Nice padio if you have a dog. If it cools off ....
Best coffee place this side of town
I come here at least 2-3 times a week to get my cold brew. Sometimes I’ll get a jalapeño bagel, sometimes I’ll get a club sandwich, and other times I’ll get an Italian soda. You can’t go wrong with any choice you make. They’re consistent and friendly and all in all, one of my favorite coffee places in town. Support local!
Food and drinks are good, once in a long while though you could end up waiting for a loooooong time
I’ve been going to Roadrunner for years but I might have to stop. Over the last 5ish months they get something about my order wrong almost every single time. This isn’t just true for me but for my husband and other family members as well. I’ve gone back before and they have fixed it but this shouldn’t happen that often.
The staff is hit and miss on service but the owner is usually pretty rude. Speaking from more than one visit. He has the opportunity to have something special I believe. Coffee is decent.
The team is awesome and a great joy to talk to. Regulars have grown attached to the team. Service is great! My favorite drink is a Strawberry Sunset energy drink they make!
Really neat spot, I have been there twice with my wife and 8 month old(dont worry, he is well behaved) and the staff is always nice, and quick to greet upon entrance. Its nice to get that initial acknowledgement upon arrival even when they are busy. The drinks are always spot on, a pretty good sized menu. They have hot food, and fresh pastries (cheese Danish being my Fav). They also seem to have a select amount of craft beers on tap. Nice place to relax and read, or play one of their available board games.
New to Tucson and have already found my favorite coffee shop!
This is one of the best coffee and food places in or around Tucson, not only that, great service
When we visited Tucson we stayed nearby this coffee place and would go through the drive though in the mornings. They have good avocado toast and some unique coffee drinks. I had the chai latte with oat milk and it was great!
Great local coffee shop with a unique selection and is perfectly themed for Arizona. They keep the place clean, and are always super friendly whenever I stop in... which can also make up for it and brighten things up again when being somewhere else beforehand where the experience you may have gotten from someone was a little less than friendly, even though they meant well.
Nice to sit outside, enjoying drinks under the shade screens before lunch.
For me, its hit and miss. Probably depends on who is making the coffee. Sometimes too bitter, sometimes stale/burned, and sometimes just right. I am pretty picky with my coffee though. Today it was just right. At least from when I tasted my boyfriends, I had the iced mango green tea which was refreshing. I want to try the prickly pear tea next. The food was good and the prices are fair. Nothing fancy but pretty tasty which is all that matters to me when it comes to food and drink. Service has never been a problem. Always smiling, helpful, and patient. Ill come back when Im in the area, I do like to support local /small businesses when I can.
Excellent coffee, great service, good food, this place just keeps getting better!!My go-to place!
Walked over today intending to support local business. I walked in with my mask on and inside I saw all of the tables setup just as close as always and not marked for social distancing, about 9 customers in there and only 1 wearing a mask, all three employees without masks or gloves and less than 6 feet from customers when taking orders. I walked out and my family walked back home...not returning if they arent taking the pandemic and customer health seriously.
Hands down better than Starbucks! Very cozy and has a local feel.
Great coffee and amazing pastries. The breakfast burrito needs some loving. Little too much rice and hardly any egg. Seems like tortilla wasnt warmed up. About 30 secs in a grill press would make wonders.
This a great place. The staff is friendly and always greets you with a smile!
Always have the best service when we go. The employees take their time with you and if you ask what they recommend they tell you. Drinks are far better than Starbucks and the prices are great!! Love it!!
If only there were more locations 👍
Unfortunately, we had poor service. Order was taken and the second drink was forgotten. Asked where it was and they acknowledged drink wasn’t made so they made it. No genuine nothing. No manner of apology. Nada. We’ve been here in the past and this wasn’t what we experienced.
My friend and I decided to try random places throughout town for coffee. Roadrunner is the first we chose, and we were not disappointed. Their menu is a wide variety of coffee syrups, chocolate, and combinations for fun seasonal drinks. My friend had the Smore hot drink and loved it, she also got a strawberry smoothie. I had the Chocolate stout latte. Im not a sweet coffee drinker, but I do love chocolate. The drink had a perfect balance without giving me a cavity while drinking it.The ladies working were very informative, and were kicking butt during the small rush we seemed to had brought in with us. They were rocking it, and still giving every customer the attention they needed.Another fun thing was we discovered, they serve alchohol, so we may return for some night time venture to really get a feel for the place.
It was a very good place for mornings if you want to stop somewhere close by and get something. I always get a smoothie and bagel to start my morning. The service is fantastic and the lines are not too long.
Very good coffee! All the baristas are very friendly and serve your order quickly. Atmosphere is really relaxing. They also serve wine and beer. The drink called a Haboob is really good.
Nice place to stop in and grab a coffee and food. I ordered the burrito and a sandwich with a coffee. I like my coffee hot and without mixings and it was nice to see it on tap for refills. The coffee was also good and not bitter like other places that over due it! They know how to make coffee. The food was also good, my order was wrong but I ate it as I had never tried the new fangled burrito flavor and it was acceptable.Staff was friendly and the service was fast.Recommend everyone give it a try if in the area.
This is a great place! Friendly staff, delicious coffee and a great selection of teas! Plus, can come in the afternoon and have a beer, wine or adult coffee!
Great spot for specialty drinks. Lots of flavors and options appealing for coffee and non coffee drinkers. It isnt where you go if you want single origin coffee roasted on site but good nonetheless. Staff is very kind, helpful, and friendly. The baked goods are very tasty. They have bagels, muffins, and other baked treats.
Always very friendly staff! Great mochas and good sandwiches. Love their outdoor seating area.
Excellent
My favorite place to hang out for lunch! The Tuna Melt is amazing & the staff is very, very friendly! I can get handcrafted greeting cards here for a super reasonable price!! Love this place!!
Nice shop. Great variety of drinks. I had a green tea mister, with coconut milk. Fantastic!
Solid place for breakfast, coffee, and now they serve beer (possibly wine?). Have been going for years and is by far the best and one of the only locally owned places on the NW side.
Ive had their coffee, breakfast sandwiches and one of their newest menu items their healthy green smoothie - all DELICIOUS! All the people who work there are so nice and welcoming and I love the changes the new owners are making. Check this place out - you wont be disappointed!
Truly friendly customer service. Never have had a bad experience.
Great experience.
First time visit and loved the atmosphere. Staff was wonderful. It was nice that there was several individuals there in our age group. A must try.
First time going. Thoroughly enjoyed my hot chai. Would go back again to try something else.
I enjoy the atmosphere and personnel that works there. Super-friendly the best iced Americano Ive had ever. My preferences with a shot of CBD oil
The space was clean and the lavender latte i got was delicious. I do wish they had the option for sitting in with reusable coffee cups instead of being given disposable cups
I only had the light roast black coffee. The flavor was very distinct and enjoyable. I got exactly what I wanted.
Havent been here in a while and kicking myself that I havent been! Used to go regularly and loved it, now I went back and love it all over again!
I was visiting my brother for a few days and needed a place to get my coffee every morning. I am so glad that the Google directed me to this place! The staff was very friendly and the coffee was great. I definitely recommend this cafe if you’re in the area!
Coffee is great!!
Comfortable place indoors and out to meet or work. Locally roastedcoffee sold.
Actually a pretty good little place. Yes they take a little time but get things done right. They have wifi as well. They have good seating too. I recommend if your tired of main stream coffee shops.
Delicious fresh cold ice tea!
This place is great. The staff are amazing. Their new logo and interior updates make the place feel new and fun and I like the renovations while maintaining the local coffee shop feel. Ill be going there daily.
