The prices are great and the place is clean and organized. The only issue I have is with the self checkout machines. This Commissary needs a serious upgrade with their machines. There are only 1 or 2 machines that have an unlimited weight restriction, and the machines themselves are quite chatty, often yelling at you to place your items in the bagging area, or just shutting down completely requiring a customer service representative to unlock the machines for you because it thinks your stealing apparently.I shop at Walmart relatively consistently and never once have issues with their machines because the software is up-to-date with the current technology.
Very nice, clean, well put together. One of the nicer Exchanges I have been to.
Probably on the smaller size for a BX, but not tiny either. Somewhat limited items compared to others. They down price match and you can find a list of merchants on the AAFES site. Overall good for bigger purchases since theres no tax.
Generally a decent value, but selections can be limited.
Prices are just as steep as they are in non-exchange stores. If you live on base I guess it would be closer shopping.
Better selection than Fort Huachucas exchange
First time visiting the base Exchange I am amazed at the size of it an am looking forward to returning again the personal were extremely helpful from the ap at the base entrance to guide me to it an the exchange employees were very helpful all I can say is that the air force has it together thank you for a great experience one that I am looking forward to returning again
Workers specially the guy in front is very friendly. Everything is either MSRP or under. I rarely see something that is out of stock or gone bad. Parking area is wide and a lot of parking spaces.
The food court has some good places. The quality of food is pretty consistent. Some places have there days when the foods not so good but Popeyes is usually the best place for a quick bite to eat that I go to that has great quality good. Pretty rare when they have an off day.
Its ok wont be around much longer if uncle Joe dose not give a budget
Prices going up but still better than commercial
Enjoyable visit and nice things to buy but the visitors center computer was down again so could not get my guest on base.
When we go on base we love to eat at the food court. Love to just wonder through the store and look at what they have. All of our expensive purchaes are checked out there because no taxes.
Hand sanitizer strategically located. Food court has spaced tables for about 50 percent occupancy. Tables sanitized after every use. 6 foot distancing signs on floor. At counters, plastic up to protect employees and customers. Carts sanitized after every use.
Food court was very good and clean. Store seems a bit low on stock. But still a very nice Store.
Excellent store keepers were very helpful. Plus get everything I needed in one stop.
The exchange is great
Prices reasonable. A small selection of organic produce and products. Everyone helpful.
The food court? On point. The bx further in especially the electronics section is seriously lacking in up to date products. I start to cringe when I go back there to see a lousy selection for such a busy place. I witnessed a monitor 240hz go out of stock the same day....so that should ring the bell that we need updated stuff on base.
Excellent selection of merch, and the outside vendors are pretty good. Prices are a bit high, but thats everywhere these days.
Very helpful clerks throughout the BX and the food court was really good too
They sell guns and ammo too
Great purchase options, and very good prices. Very good customer service. The food trucks are a must try.!
Good food decent service dont use BX often
I was treated in a very professional way and explained to me about questions i had asked regarding pizza orders. Will come back again
Clean and roomy
Love our heroes, glad to see that they have a place to shop and grab a great lunch, dinner, snackThank you to all who serve
Excellent selection of goods as well as very competitive pricing. The barber shop is open on Sundays as well, best $10.50 haircut in Tucson. There was only about a ten minute wait for a nice military cut. They always do a precise and individual cut to your specifications. The BX offers fresh food alternatives to burgers: smoothies, salads, Mexican food, Subway, as well as a larger Starbucks too. It gets very busy of course during 1100 - 0130, and those in uniform do get priority in lines for haircuts, prescription pick up and also at the BX.
Went to the Commisary and Base Exchange... both are good, clean and stocked...but some items are still in low supply. Overall good place to shop.
The firearms staff is wonderful.
Great place to get my prescriptions filled.
I have been to several bases and I live close to Luke AFB and we go on base often. But DM is one of the best exchanges I visited. Its spacious and well laid out and set up to be a one stop shop including the main pharmacy.
After the COVID-19 lockdown, business is largely back to normal. The vendors are back to rotating through in the marketplace, and barriers and cleaning procedures are in place, but its the same stellar customer service as always. The pandemic has caused some shortages but you can still order online and pick up your order curbside. Still a great place for service members and veterans to get a good deal.
They had the dress shirts I needed at a reasonable price.
Love shopping on base!! Not as cheap as it used to be but always a nice variety of items.
The store could use an update but generally its a well stocked place. Best prices no doubt... Its tax free and they price match so youd be an idiot not to shop here (assuming you have access to base).
Neat base.....efficient layout and love the Exchange and Commissary. My husband is retired and we enjoy visiting when we can. He gets his hair cut there and I shop while waiting. Lots of choices of food too...Starbucks, Subway, Anthonys Pizza plus Asian cuisine and ice cream.
Clean, the cashier was very friendly. They have everything you need. Although you dont pay taxes, things are a little pricey. Having the Starbucks close makes it worth while.
No hospitality when visiting! At least, hello, can I help you? Not crowded at all. Good sale items.
Very large store with a Starbucks inside, various traveling vendors, and food trucks.
I was thinking i bought a 60.00 dollars Dockers shirt and it ended up being 29.00 dollars i love shopping here
Clean, full of products of all kinds . Quality every where you look. Really nice people work here.
This place has the best prices on electronics in town plus NO TAX! Bought a 2020 model Samsung QLED TV here less then a week ago and it was $100-$300 less then the lowest on sale prices @ amazon, best buy and walmart.
Good, floor in Food Court needs a good GI Party
Its like Walmart only better!!
A great modern military exchange. Always bright and well maintained. The customer service is friendly and cheerful. Everything in one stop.
*BX HAIRCUT REVIEWAll the girls in the barbershop do a great job! I went to all of them and always had a great haircut. I love the the fact it’s about $11 because off base barbers charge way too much $$$.
Fantastic, although I couldnt find the Military Clothing and Devices Store that used to be there. The prices are nicer than retail and no tax! Thank you very much!
Acces to this facility is limited to military (and former mil) ofcourse. The Exchange is well stocked and they can order a lot of things if you want them to. Service is good. The food court has a number of places which means that there is something for almost anyone.
Dirtiest bathroom I have ever had the displeasure in using! Whoever is in charge of the bathrooms should be fired. The kind of dirt that has not been cleaned properly in a very long time. Needs a good old GI party and some elbow grease!!!!
Two registers had lights on, only one had a cashier. A handicapped person was at the head of the line receiving very personal service. I just wanted a bottle of water. I left without buying anything. It was worth the detour based on price and selection not on service.
Had what I needed at a reasonable. No Muss No Fuss
Has everything. Great food court. Awesome store
Picked up an online order. Seemed they were having trouble locating the order in their system. Settled for signing some other document. Pleasant staff, nice clean facility. Great food court.
Its a spacious building with a major shopping store and a very good food court with a lot of vender available. We have lunch many times over the years since 2013, this place never dispoint me. Therefore I highly recommend!
Good prices on high end items... the rest is overpriced. Exchanges have always abused their privilege of exclusive access to our military.
Better deals than from local economy...associates are good but not as informed as those in other stores. So, some trade offs if you wanna get to the bottom line and save a few dollars.
Always a great time shopping on base. Be sure to leave time for lunch. Had a gell manicure at the salon that was outstanding 😊
Every aspect of this particular air base is excellent service with the highest standards they require Nothing by the best. And they provide that service. I want to thank everybody in the food court for doing their job with a big smile and serving are active duty personnel and retirees with a big smile.
It has the basic necesities of a BX but some items arent stock.
Love the staff here. Helpful and friendly!
I travel a lot and visit several bases every month and I have to say that I do really enjoy Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and the exchange there. People are very nice and helpful at this Exchange and they make you feel welcomed.
This Exchange ALWAYS has new vendors with unique items. Their food court is large with Charleys, fresh yogurt place, popeyes, subway, quedoba, etc. The employees in the Exchange were very helpful.
Good selection, good prices and usually clean. Staff is usually friendly. Great for grabbing a quick bite to eat.
Stopped by on military brat day, kids got lots of free goodies at the food court. Nice store great selection... always great prices.
Had the Worst Experience in my Life at a base exchange paid for something in cash decide I dont like it to take it back they dont tell u if you owe money on your star card you cant return something you pay cash for terrible business . I wouldnt hi back there if you paid me a million most of the staff are rasicit. They do not respect Black people.
Great experience, will again shop the exchange
Great place to get electronics and my toiletries. Love that you can order items online if it is not at the store as well. I ordered my couch using their computer right there in the furniture area after seeing it in their display. No tax and free shipping and delivery setup
I really like the Base Exchange. It pretty much has everything you need at really reasonable prices. The staff are very professional and friendly.
I purchased an adorable hat with a flower that you can clip on, or take off, and visited Lady Jones Boutique. She has inexpensive jewelry pieces, blouses and wraps perfect for valentines day😍
Customer service is unfriendly. But the store is well kept.
The Bx has never changed. Management always and still suck. Now false advertisement. How can you have a national sale and not have 60 to 80 percent of individuals items not in the store. I could go on but it does not matter. Their managers all the way up to their CEO needs to be fired. Really! I only wrote two 1 stars reports and this is one of them. They are sad. The only good thing is no taxes but be aware their prices are not lower than some stores. Be a smart shopper.
This place is GREAT good customer service
Huge BX, lots of vendors, even a pharmacy. One of the largest and nicest AAFES stores Ive visited. Excellent selection of items. I found items there Id been looking for and hadnt found at other military exchanges. Very nice staff...cashier chased me down to give me a second bag of items Id purchased not realizing I had more than one bag when I left the area. She didnt have to do that but I was sure happy she did.
This place is big & you can certainly find mostly everything you need here. Great prices & friendly faces.
Excellent products and prices, carries just about everything you would expect in a top-notch base exchange. Very friendly and helpful staff is there to get shopping done quick and easy. Good food court available if you need a bite to eat, or that Starbuck fix satisfied.
I’m a retaried us war veteran it the only base I go to I don’t like fort huycuy I spent my last 4 years there of service but I will stick to DMAB.
Very nice exchange. Larger than others I have been in. Quality clothes and supplies.
What all military members and families need. A safe and clean location with a great staff.
Great selection and prices. My family loves shopping, especially out of town family. Use coupons to get even more savings!
For active and retired military personal and there dependent. Always satisfied with the merchandise and service. Very clean and bright facility.
DM PX out of a lot of products That are not on shelf
Gun counter was terrible! Better off going in town.
I love going here and being on the base. It brings back found memories of Air Force life.
Never a bad experience coming to the BX, everyone is always friendly & the place is always well organized & clean. My only complaint is theres only 1 bathroom in the whole store.
I didnt get the sale price on my item. I brought it up and was told to go to Customer Service. The line was rather long, so I opted to leave. But normally have good experiences. The cashier was nice about everything. :)
Good selection of firearms and related products. Very friendly associates working the firearms counter. Very clean and organized.
Love this place.and you just feel safe.all the things that the mall has.but without the headaches of parking.handicap available
Nothing there. Shelves are empty. Prices are too high.
Great place. Felt like freedom.
The place is very clean and organized. You can find basically anything you want in here. And everyone was so nice, professional and ready to help out when theyre needed.
Always have a great experience when I am w/my military Brothers / Sisters. Happy Veterans Day. 😎😎
A little bit of everything except hand sanitizer. Nice staff.
Nice food court. Decent sized BX. They have a good variety of items.
This is actually for the Davis Monthan Inn...If you want a barracks style room where you CANNOT control the thermostat then this is the place for you! With bunker-type poorly painted cinder block walls, shabby carpet, a lumpy sagging mattress and terribly old furniture, this is NOT a place we would EVER again stay no matter what the price We were there in late November and the room was SO hot we couldnt sleep. There was a governor on the thermostat, so we had no control over the room temp. It was set at 80 degrees. That is not only uncomfortable, but unhealthy. We couldnt open the windows because we were near a busy street and right on a major sidewalk. This may be a fair price at $60+, but the contract-government run facility is outrageous with their non caring employees...and ESPECIALLY their lack of respect and their blatant disregard for the comfort of military families. Shame on them. I would give this review zero stars if I could.
New check in machine will be much faster when we old folks learn it. ......good idea.
Always a great place to shop
Friendly staff, decent selection, and good prices.
I use to love coming on base to the BX cause of the prices but it just doesn’t seem to be worth it
