I picked up a helium backplate and wing single tank setup from Paragon, just in time for a trip to Cozumel. it was great having such a lightweight rig to travel with (due to the titanium plate and accessories), and I found the weight system really great.I added 4 pounds to the pockets behind the plate, bringing it up to about the equivalent of a steel plate. but with the added benefit of being able to adjust the positioning of the weight a bit, and of course the lighter suitcase.Ben was very helpful, and I love the selection of gear that Paragon has chosen to stock. great local shop, worth a drive from Phoenix even.

Ive had a couple of dealings with this company so far: First, to verify that a product I was looking for was discontinued, and no longer available, and secondly to purchase a replacement item, and associated hardware. A few questions popped up during the online order process, but these folks were on the spot, promptly answering questions, and making sure all the details were right. Despite time spent with those details, they literally had my package in the mail within hours. This order was placed towards the end of the week, but I still got it on Saturday and had everything put together before the start of the following week. Because they carry some brands and products that arent available in many local dive shops, Ill definitely be ordering from them again - very good experience!

Paragon is one of those rare companies that lives up to their name and reputation. We recently used Paragon for an Intro to Tech class and dive travel trip to Mexico. For the training Ben was extremely patient, highly detailed, and incredibly knowledgeable. Following each dive day we had video reviews of all skills and general diving form. This is really invaluable and let me transition from a person who scuba dives to a proper diver. It also provided a great chance for gear changes and alterations, simply moving a wing up paid huge dividends for me personally (and not something I was likely to have guessed). I feel more than confident to continue my technical diving progression with the rock solid foundation that I received. With the travel aspect, it was seamless as a customer. I just finished TDI intro to tech with Ben Lair and Paragon Dive Adventures. Truly a terrific course! We completed 8 dives over 4 days in the warm waters of San Carlos, Mexico. This course provides an overview of diving with doubles and technical gear configuration. Ben provided video review of all skills taught and even threw in additional practice with more advanced skills including carrying/switching stage bottles. I feel well equipped to continue my technical dive training and would absolutely use Paragon Dive Adventures and Ben Lair again in the future for dive training and travel.

I bought a Dive Rite LX20+ dive light from Paragon Dive Adventures. The shipping label was created 4 days after my purchase and the shipping took 6 days. All in all 10 days was not a long time to wait considering the light was significantly cheaper than on Amazon. I’ve been using the light since, it has about 40 dives now some to my 130 rec limit, with no complaints at all, and it’ll meet my needs through the technical course I’m taking soon. All in all I’d totally recommend Paragon Dive Adventures.

I went to Ben to do an O2ptima CM try dive a few months ago. Fast forward to September, I did the training with Ben and can say with confidence that he is extremely knowledgeable and patient as an instructor. Dives were pretty relaxed which made for a good learning environment but yet he let you know what you did wrong and what you needed to do to fix it. (Usually I could tell when I was about to screw something up because it would be prefaced by some laughing coming from his rebreather) I really liked how he took video of all of us so we could discuss and learn afterwards what was done wrong or we needed to improve. His classroom sessions were very laid back and relaxed yet all the material was covered and he took the time to reinforce anything I had questions about or was weak on. Id highly recommend Ben for anyone looking to do some technical training or even just dive with.*Hes also a good dude to have a beer with afterwards and as a bonus, he introduced me to his ginger beer / rum concoction at no extra charge!

I met Ben on a refresher dive earlier this year it was my first dive in many years, after getting the bug to get back to the octopuss garden. Ben took inventory of my abilities and gave me the instructional tips and techniques that I needed. He didnt bash me with unsolicited information or try to sell me services or gadgets.It wasnt hard to see Ben is a very knowledgeable and well rounded instructor, so I opted to get some advanced training. Again, Ben taught to my level, not dumbing the information down unless I needed it (haha), or speaking too techie for my background. The value for the quality of instruction was pretty remarkable.
