I love the feeling you get when you walk into the place, its centered on the U of A crowd so there is a lounging section with couches and tables. A section to plug in your laptops and do some work, a bar, and the market with local goods. Over all a nice place to relax and or study/work.
Beautiful neighborhood market has a variety of items. Tried the chocolate chip cookies, they were some of the best around! Excited to come back and try their actual food offerings. The staff was excellent answered all of our questions and helped us find items we were looking for!
Pizzas, burger, cocktails are a great way to end an evening! Atmosphere airy and open. Weve been there for lunch and dinner excellent both times!
We had an extremely enjoyable experience. The service was excellent and the food superb, perfectly prepared and delicious.
Thank you for the horchata cold brew! Lots of local foods and drinks. I love it💗
Fantastic market! The “new” market that just reopened is fantastic. Has a lot of the good parts of the old rincon market with great additions. Everyone working there is super friendly and helpful. Got everything I needed and more for a bbq.
Experience delicious. Prices reasonable.
Excellent service beautiful place delicious food 😋
New merchandise new menu. I thought it was very good except that it was fairly expensive.
I would give them 10 stars if I could! We spent a month in Tucson at a house just 3 blocks from Rincon Market. We ate there numerous times and loved it every single time. Tried many of the dishes and they were all absolutely delicious! The staff is great too. You wont be disappointed!
Great Wine Tasting there tonight! Every 3rd Thursday I was told, 4 distributor Reps brought 6 or so wines that were sold in house along with cheese bites and other things! This place has been a great local market with fabulous finds for eons!
Gl This is a neighborhood market and deli that also sides good service and catering. As such its difficult to review because its got a lot of things going on...The grocery part is small and carries mostly gourmet items ($$$). Their wine selection is good, and their bet selection used to be excellent but seems to have transitioned to a much more eclectic selection... Speaking of eclectic, the food items are an of mix of things. Theyve definitely for some cool things, but I wouldnt expect to go in and grab your usual. Its a place that begs you go to try something new, if for no other reason than they only carry a few items part food genre and they are gourmet brands youve likely not heard of.The food service part revolves around a huge center island that used to house a hot service salad bar, quick service grill and food prep area and pastry case/espresso bar. Working your way back, theres a salad bar full deli. The center island bakery/coffee bar that also serves restaurant-type food. The restaurant sides (the things that are served next to the entree) are swimming in garlic and not super appetizing, but the food itself is decent. The pastries and baked goods are excellent, as is the espresso.Seating is haphazardly arranged around a lot of open space and there are loungers, tables, and outdoor seating.Ultimately, this is a place that doesnt know what it wants to be and winds up doing a lot of things and excelling in few of them.
Love it here, I come in daily for food and drink. Theres something for everybody here coffee beer breakfast lunch dinner chocolate cheese wine and more. Great for meet ups and one on ones. Mornings are great for a patio read and some good dog pets.
Floras Market Run just open in this location. Decent selection for a small market, although a little pricey.
Best fish market in Tucson and the cheese selection makes me happy. I can always find cool ingredients, oils and spices and other funky stuff that other markets do not carry. Great to-go foods in the deli make me hungry every time. And a fun wine selection too- I always find new wines to try.
Ordered a Reuben and a slice of chocolate cream pie to go. When we arrived home and unpacked the food, I found...the worst Reuben Id ever had in my life. The bread was soaked through with oil/butter. The sauerkraut tasted like wilted coleslaw that someone had drizzled sauerkraut sauce over - stingily. Not sour at all. The sauce was hardly there, and worst - the meat consisted of two slices of gristly, flavorless...meat. Not sure that was Pastrami. This sandwich cost $12 and was worth about $2 for the cost of materials. The cost of labor Im not counting, because this obviously was not the work of a chef or even of someone who ever tasted the food they made.Ive been here many times before and had never received a sub-standard order like this. The pie was good.
OMG I was in heaven when I went here. They have THE freshest meat. For deli, cheese, and wines, go see Duffy. You wont be disappointed no matter what your grocery or meal needs may be. If youre a vegetarian, you wont leave hungry either with the assortment of vegetable side options at the deli!
Friendly staff, great food
Great food, helpful staff, constantly fantastic character. They charge fair rates and the food quality is great. Fantastic work.
Rincon has undergone a major revival in the past year. The market side is now well stocked with a impressive selection of upscale goods. likewise, their sandwiches are pricey, but worth the extra money. Definitely worth a walk though if youre passing by.
Stopped by for lunch. We had the italian sausage & Reuben sandwiches with tomato soup - all were excellent! A bit pricey, but the quality is worth it! Nice market too, with excellent wine selections!
The parking is not always great, but everything else is. The staff are great, very friendly and very helpful. The fresh cooked food is great, and my kids love it, even the real grilled cheese. Their dessert display has lots of options, but better to get there early. If its not too hot out, have a seat at one of their outdoor benches and enjoy your meal. Its its not, stay inside where the air conditioning is nice and cool. The grocery has some normal fare, but also a few interesting items you may not find at your usual spot, so give it a look if youre stopping by.Overall, the Rincon Market is a nice, relaxing visit youre sure to enjoy.
I used the parking lot to remove my sweat shirt. I was there 3 minutes tops. I didnt get much of a feel for the place. the one employee I did talk to was very polite when he asked me to move along, tho. not rude at all or even caring, as he looked down his nose at me, that my bike probably cost more than his car...
Terrible atmosphere, dont get me started on the staff 👈pre- pandemic ( baby town frolics) it was like save by the bell had a love child with Jerry Spinger show . Please stay closed or fire the intire staff and start over with the opposite of who you had before. Personally you should ask for some of the salaries back from that staff for being as bad as they were...
So yummy! My daughter got a BLT and I got a Reuben. Both were amazing and they had home cut fries. Big salad bar with lots of great options. We came during a lunch rush and we were still able to get our order in and receive our food quickly. Really impressed!
Rincon Market has always been a fabulous place to food shop and eat, and it continues to improve and expand.Yuri offers delicious, FRESH seafood to our desert town, and the meats offered for sale are top notch. The produce area is filled with vibrant vegetables and fruit.Love this market!
Probably some of the best food I’ve had in years...maybe except for Time Market. Incredibly clean place, very nice and knowledgeable staff. What a great stroke of fortune that these people saved this old market.
Rincon Market is just a hop skip and a jump from our new place and we like to walk there for a quick snack or a fancy beer or wine. The layout is really lovely and the selection of fine products is good. While some of the home decor items (plants, vases, succulents, baskets, bags, and giftwrap) are definitely over-priced ($35 for a glass bubble vase? -I think not!), we really enjoy walking around and taking in the sights and smells of freshly-baked goods, or looking through the excellent wine selection. Fun for browsing, or great for a chill morning coffee and scone. Definitely recommend, but dont expect to get out of here with a bargain.
Friendly service and nice atmostphere, but the food wasnt memorable. We got the salmon entree and a burger and both were a bit bland. Not bad, but I would definitely opt to try something different next time. Fries were very good though. There were lots of delicious looking baked goods, but we didnt try any. Maybe next time!
I certainly loved their food and customer service, excellent area to my house. The workers are always very kind. Would recommend to others.
I used to love this place! I was there almost once every other week (on average) over the past year. It’s a great atmosphere for eating, meeting or working. The food is all good (some is especially great!)! It’s also on a bus line and you can call an order in ahead of time and get it to go. They have a wide selection of foods and drinks.Unfortunately, they recently started charging *significantly* more for the same food. Whereas there used to be bargain prices, now they charge as much or more than similar restaurants in the area for comparable menu items. It’s no longer the bargain gem it used to be.
Good food. The grill is the best, grab something and have them grill it up for you or just order from the menu. Decent cold specialty soda selection and a lot of options for people to come together who may all want something different. Its a great representation of Tucson, people of all kinds are in this place. Oh, and the breakfast is a great deal!
Upgraded for sure. Lots of great choices for eating and drinking. I miss how unpretentious the market used to be.
Virtually no produce and what they had was old and unacceptable. Few Italian items for purchase. Good meat and alcoholic beverage selection -- mostly wine. Seems store emphasis is their coffee and sandwich shop s. Parking a challenge. Clean environment and staff I encountered wasnt overly customer oriented.
They have a good collection of wines and other artisan foods to select from. On the third Thursday of every month, they have free samples and wine tastings, so you can try before you buy
Went in for lunch and hadn’t been in a while and was shocked at the changes made. I was looking forward to the salad bar and lo and behold it was gone. I walked around for a couple of minutes and finally asked how do I order food and the young man said oh here’s the menu. I asked what happened and he said new owners. I hate to say it but I liked the old Rincon Market way better. I paid $17.50 for fish and chips and an organic soda they have now, the food was just ok and not worth what I paid. I Just wasn’t impressed. I’m all for change but change for the better not the worst. Sorry Rincon Market but the vibe and friendly atmosphere is gone. The place seems dark now and not the same warming place where you could get cookies a salad etc. Not sure if I’ll be back.
Super hipster vibe, cool if you like the hipster thing. Food was just ok. Great pie
A gem of a market/deli/cafe in the heart of the Sam Hughes neighborhood. We love popping in for lunch or coffee and a baked treat. They have excellent produce, a carefully curated wine collection, and the best, freshest fish selection in town.
By groceries, eat breakfast or lunch, shop at the deli. All that and more with very helpful and friendly folks. A classic neighbor gathering spot!
I used to love the Rincon Market because they always where so nice about my allergies. Being involuntary vegan it is hard to find good vegan desserts but they used to have the best cupcakes and cookies that were so easy to stop by and get but ever sense they got their new owner things have changed around and I have not seen any of the vegan bakers desserts which has made me lesson my trips to almost never going. It used to be my favorite place to study and have some coffee and snacks but not so much anymore.
I really love that the new owners brought the time market vibe over here. Yes, its expensive, as most small companies that provide these services are actually charging what things truly cost - our grocery stores are filled with substandard good thats subsidized by big agro. Definitely plenty of ridiculous proceed teensy items - but I believe there is something for everyone.
Dining - Amazing salad bar quality! Rincon Markets deli is very good and stands out by using Boars Head provisions, but not much from the grill stands out; go with the salad bar, deli, or grab a desert here instead. Lots of space for groups. Very relaxed atmosphere.Seafood - Make sure to check out their seafood counter in the market area; theres sushi quality, and then theres Yuri quality ;) If you know fish, youll want to chat with Yuri, and he might even school you on a thing or two! This is where to go in Tucson to pick up quality seafood to cook at home
I just wanted to let everyone know that this place is Superb! It used to be WAY BETTER as far as salad bar, and soup bar, but the new changes and owners are making great food! If you havent tried the Banana Cream Sanwich, let me tell you, YOURE MISSING OUT ON A DELICIOUS DESSERT!!! I give you a HI -Five Rincon Market!!!!!
UPDATE: Just stopped in for some coffee and it was delicious! I am excited to see the changes under new ownership! This food is so good but I waited about 4p minutes for my meal. Slowest grill in town...but also the freshest fish in town. Id come here every week if they could have way better customer service on the grill side. The guy tho... so awesome! Dan you rincon market for being such a tease.
The staff is committed to the neighborhood and community. Food is excellent. Chef does classics superbly then blows you away with something New. The Soups and Vegetables like no other Ive had.
Excellent food. We love going before the Arizona basketball games.
I love this market! You can pick up everything from a roasted chicken to a great bottle of wine, organic produce, house made baked goods, the best coffee in town, or a draft beer. A favorite hangout.
Seems to be in a transition phase right now, with new owners, so its hard to tell on one visit whether its improving or not. One side it like a lunch counter, with a hot sandwich bar and bakery bar. The other side of the building is a grocery store with proper butcher in the back. Very small for a grocery store, but it seems they have emphasis in all the right places, local beer, healthy options galore, and even some vegan/vegetarian options.
I bought a steak at the butcher shop there and had them cook it on the grill. It was one of the best steaks I ever ate. You cant get that quality steak even in the best restaurants. It cost me around $13 dollars. In a good steak house it would have easily been $30. Its hard to find prime beef in town. They have the best meat and fish at the Rincon Market.
One of the best markets in Arizona! Quality food and great customer service 👍
First time going there . Very nice market and nice little in store cafe. Shelves and produce section was fully stocked. Went to the meat and fish section . The fish section hardly had a selective choice.
Open, airy space that makes the dining experience great. The 4 stars was because the latte tasted SWEET! WHAT is that? Boo!
Likened To Whole Foods Stores But A Tad Bit Better On A Personal Level. Very Relaxing Sittings And Very Tasting Hot And Cold Foods To Dine.Food Store Meet Food Store Dine In Restaurant.Only Natural Fiber, Good Body Foods Sold Here.ABSOLUTELY Love This Store.Thank You Rincon Management And Staff.
Nice to see this place is still in business. My grand father lived nearby and walked there sometimes. I was a 5 year old kid at the time and often came along.Just turned 70 -- so that place is old. No gourmet food back then.
Rincon Market is the perfect place to come in on a Saturday morning for breakfast. An extensive menu including omelettes, benedicts, crepes, burritos, etc. A great coffee bar, outdoor sitting, dog friendly, and fair prices. What more could you want? The Tucson burrito is probably one of the best, if not the best, breakfast burrito I have ever had! Eggs, cheese, bacon, potatoes, with a side of salsa! No ketchup needed.👌
I hadnt been to Rincon Market in over a year. I was happy with the renovation and improved menu. I had the Gobbler on cranberry bread, stuffing and the works - excellent! My friend had the tuna melt, and was pleased with the order too. The bakery and coffee are reason enough to re-visit this place.
Their sandwiches are HUGE!!! (Can feed two people) And they taste GREAT!! I got their Wildcat which has a pile of turkey, couple of bacon strips, avocado, sprouts, banana peppers, cucumber, Mayo, and red onion on Rye. It tasted so great, forgot to take a picture for this review! 😂😁
Very comfortable with a wide variety of food options, this place is popular with the locals and the old-timers. The prices are a bit high for what you get and quality control is not always consistent. If you have a group where everyone wants something different this is the place. The fish monger, Uri, is top notch if also a bit abrasive (dont ask him which fish is fresh!)
Inconsistent. I keep trying to support it because Im a fan of local businesses and enjoy Time Market, its sister location, but Rincon just lets me down. Ordered a breakfast burrito to be vegetarian (sub avocado for bacon) and the gal confirmed thats what she wrote. Got home to my burrito, no avocado to be found. It was written on my box even so imagine the let down. Just a burrito full of potatos, hardly any egg. Sad breakfast for $8.50. Coffee guy is nice though!
Excellent butcher with a wide variety of exotic cuts of meat. Awesome market design and coffee bar. Barista created a magical latte that had me wired for hours.
This place is a really nice deli style business. Clean and cool place for something a little different.
I have always loved Rincon Mkt., live in the neighborhood and have been going there since I was a kid. In the last couple of months there has been a big change to the breakfast. Adding the grille with a big menu is not a plus. It has caused confusion among customers and employees. Not once in the 4 times I have gone there in two months have they gotten my order correct. The persons taking the order do not write the price so the cashier on the other side of the store where you pay has to walk to the grille to get the price leaving no one at the cash register with 8 people in line to pay. Also that same cashier is to serve the farmers breakfast to another line waiting. I have had Vegetarian orders end up with meat. Today I ordered Kellys #1 with hash brown and rye toast. What I got was home fries that consisted of 3 small pieces of potato 4 pieces of hard carrot, and 3 mushrooms. Also it came with 3 pieces of very greasy bacon that I had to put on a couple of napkins for it to drain. I did tell them that they gave me the wrong potatoes, which they very quickly corrected. I really want this to be the place where I take my friends and visitors but I can not recommend it anymore for breakfast.
With the new ownership, the quality of the experience has unfortunately gone down. Their salad bar used to be the best in town with a myriad of food options but now there is a very limited assortment and many of the vegetables looked several days old and somewhat dried out and there were beets in the black olives, etc. The blue cheese dressing had the consistency of water. I didnt used to mind paying for a pricey salad (8.99 per lb.) when it was as good as it used to be but today I feel like I got jipped. Also the bakery goods just arent as good either. Of course thats subjective.
I love this place. Great food, so many options add you can do a little shopping fit groceries. Not a grocery store tho. Parties, salads, sandwiches, grilled foods. Beer, coffee and a tv for sports at a small bar. Cute and sweet.
Yuri is the best! His Salmon is top notch, only place to shop for quality meat and seafood
Fabulous experience. Great tasting food. Not a bargain priced place but a good place to eat once in a while.
Eclectic market/grocery/deli. I like coming here to just wander or meet people for food. Not really clear how to do things - just go get what you want and take it to a cashier. Read carefully for specials and rules. Food is good but more expensive due to what you are getting.
Decent food however not for the price point. Fun and open dining room with plenty of space for larger groups with different tastes. Good for what we needed but dont think Ill be going back.
Yuri is the best! He sells the fish and is always open to having a conversation. Best place in town to get fresh fish.
You wont find many places like this in Tucson. Its one of few neighborhood gourmet markets that arent entirely focused on Italian foods — and it has its share of Italian! The cheese case is worth marveling over, and the charcuterie is equally drool-inducing. Theyll let you try pretty much everything, so you can get exactly what you need.Theres also a full grocery section, a master of the deli (soon to start making his own local meats), a bar, and fresh food to order. Check out the coffee bar, local produce, decent mushroom selection, and wide selection of wines. Its only going to get better over time, so stay tuned!
Gone downhill. Will no longer eat there. $3.75 for a cookie??? Visited with a friend in our old hangout of many years. Distinct odor we decided was grease. Got up the next morning and did a smell test. Into the laundry.
Stopped by for a quick bite to eat, it was my first time trying this place. My boyfriend and I ordered a blt & avocado with mayo, pickles and banana peppers. We split the sandwich and realized there was no avocado. The sandwich was still delicious and the service was great. Because its so popular the other patrons were a bit testy when it came time to order regarding who was next. I still enjoyed my experience but felt a little out of place.
Best salad bar in town! Everything is fresh, they have a good variety with yummy dressings. Another option is to buy a steak from the butcher and the grill will season it and cook it for no additional cost.
Good breakfast. Drip coffee not great. Next time Ill order an Americana or latte.
This is a great place to eat! Delicious food, friendly & helpful staff! Great deals with your food! For example, a free cookie with each meal!! Definately go try it out!! Youll enjoy it!!
Very interesting, unusual and good choices in groceries. And a deli/restaurant with menu to match.
Chill place to study or catch a bite. Their Coconut Creme Pie to die for!💕
The food and desserts are amazing. Plus the atmosphere is fantastic
Love Rincon market its retro, you can sit and enjoy some pretty good food with a great salad bar or just hang out and have dessert and coffee/tea. I believe they also have alcoholic beverages but dont quote me on that, and right next to it is a cool little market with different types of foods and international beers and it also has a meat market!
Best meats and seafood in the City, seriously! Their seafood is fresh and always tastes fantastic. The bakery is also tops as they make everything at the store. AJs seafood is good but Rincon Market is better.
Rincon Market usually has delicious pizza by the slice, other deli items and a wide variety of cold drinks.
I miss the old Rincon Market. I went in a few days after the new ownership, and you can feel a different vibe walking in. Almost everything I used to get was not available, not a lot of cookies (and this went on for days!), not a lot of drink selection. Customer Service was okay but not the same as the old Rincon Market.
Great place to stop in for a sandwich to-go, a beer at their bar, or a full meal. Their market offers a variety of essentials at prices similar to what youd find at a Walgreens or convenience store but at least this place is local. Theres always a fair amount of people eating, shopping, or lounging but Ive been several times and not had to wait long to order something or find a seat. A great neighborhood resource!
The Rincon market combines a somewhat pricey (but excellent) fish counter/deli/butcher, a somewhat exotic (but pricey) grocery store, and a very reasonable little restaurant and bakery. While not everything Ive ordered there is perfect, I do feel theyre trying hard to offer a variety of delicious hot and cold sandwiches and even a slightly more elegant daily entree. The hamburger and fries remain my favorite in Tucson. (If you dont want carbs, the other sides are a bit disappointing.)My only complaint is that the music has been MUCH too loud when I tried to eat there on several latish occasions. I suspect the staff had turned it up to entertain themselves, but it made conversation (or even thinking) impossible. As a rule, however, I get takeout and am happy to support this ambitious, well-run small business.
Had breakfast here for the first time in many years. I had the yogurt bowl, it was excellent.
I have a lot of experience with Rincon Market. I used to live down the street, so I regularly used to work there and grab coffee. But a couple of years ago, they saved my wedding! They were already our caterer (GREAT food and really on top of things!). But when our wedding venue suddenly fell through a week before the wedding (Feb 2015), they pulled some strings, got us a place, and everything went off probably better than it would have at the previously place! Our catering bill certainly did not cover that, so we are eternally grateful!
Great atmosphere. Great food selection. Good happy hour prices. Good place to meet up with others.
I had to redo my review and lower the rating. I still think the food from the restaurant side is awesome and the desserts are still excellent. My disappointment is with the grocery side. I go in and ask about wine and nobody knows anything about wine, or even how it’s organized so that I can find a particular kind of wine. The market side staff seem annoyed having to answer questions. They have 12+ types of salsa and just as many hot sauces but no enchilada sauce.
One of the best kale salads Ive ever had.
Great barista and good latte. The quiche was delicious. It now serves oat milk. That cannot be had hardly anywhere right now.
Nice clean specialty type store. Small but good food.
