Great place! Service was excellent! They have a sign when you enter to be patient with them because they are short staffed... well I couldn’t tell. Very friendly vibe, clean, and food was great. Green chili omelet was light in the egg and heavy on the good stuff! Hash browns were PERFECT! Seriously the best I’ve had in a long time
Excellent food can be found at this wonderful eatery! You will walk away stuffed after one of their delicious menu items. My Denver omelet was perfectly prepared and my husband had a quesadilla. If these two items were as delicious as every other item, Im sure you cant go wrong ordering anything else. We were traveling off the highway, so fast service was important to us. Kix on 66 was a most welcoming place to stop for weary travelers like us.

First time here and Im in love! Non-stop coffee, great food. Eggs were delicious, beacon was fresh, pancakes outstanding! My 10 yr old even ate everything. Clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. If one pasted by your table, they asked if you needed more coffee or anything. A good team, like it should be. Definitely worth the detour off the interstate!
I cannot say enough good things about this place. Wow food was fantastic the staff was very entertaining the service was great. If you do not know that it’s off of the side of the highway about a mile down the road you will miss one of America’s greatest little treasures. You owe it to yourself to go to this place and eat it’s got that 50s diner appeal to it.
Wow, this diner was incredible. I got the cheeseburger & waffle fries & it was the best hamburger I have ever had. My husband got an omelette & it was delicious. Great place & decorations were so cute.

Food and service has always been great the one time a year we get to stop from our trip to Taos. We like the atmosphere there. The food is inexpensive compared to Dels. I have only one negative-- a staff person who was a supervisor had a really loud voice who projected it although out the diner. She was superloud and I am nearly deaf. It did take away from the pleasant dining experience since she appeared to mainly be trading verbal jibs with a local customer. Our waitress was great and made up for the tomfoolery of the other lady at the cash register. Our food was great and as ordered. If you come in, hope the loud lady is gone for the day.
Fresh bacon & over hard eggs cooked right! Its a locally owned place. Service was prompt and courteous.
This is a great place to have breakfast. The coffee is good and stout, the chorizo quesadillas are very tasty, but the Tucumcari Mountain of Tater Tots? Wow! Who knew such a thing existed. Mind you, it’s more a mountain of hash browns but I’ve never met a starch I didn’t like so that was not a problem. I had the chorizo version with green chili sauce and I’ll get the same thing next time I go there.The wait staff was very friendly and prompt. The portions are large so bring your appetite. The restaurant is very light and open with a definite Route 66 vibe.Next time I’m in Tucumcari you’ll find me here for breakfast.
Great service and breakfast! Our waitress was very pleasant and was smiling the whole time from the moment we entered. You can tell she loves her job with the energy she radiates. I’m so glad they serve Spam! You don’t see that often unless it’s a Hawaiian restaurant. I love Spam! I tried the french toast and it was amazing as well. I typically don’t like french toast and I thought it was excellent!
The food deserves to be served on linen table cloths with nice place settings, for the quality prices are too low.

This place was great! Service was fast and friendly, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was just the Route 66 nostalgia we were looking for. The town is a sad remanent of what it used to be. The majority of the businesses are long closed, so the look of Main Street is really frozen in a bygone era. It makes me realize what was lost when the interstate system homogenized our country.
I was not happy with the food. The service was good but the menu promised more than they could deliver. I sat down, famished, and ordered the home made hash. It was the same ingredients, same consistency and all the ingredients were cut the same size if the stuff that slides out of a can. Fortunately the portions were small... the 2 eggs scrambled was the largest thing on my plate. My wife and daughters Mountain of potatoes were covered by their 2 fried eggs.This makes me sad to report like this on a dinner, because I LOVE dinners and their food. Over promised and way under delivered.

We love this place and stop here anytime we are in tucumcari. I always get the smothered breakfast burrito and probably will never try anything else. This burrito with red and green chilli is perfection!! My wife has more variety and has always loved her choices as well.

We actually went back through there a second time going home! They actually have a doggie menu! Our little Shitz Tsu had a grilled chicken breast! Very pet friendly along with great food! Try anything with the GREEN VERDE SAUCE!

Whenever we drive from Michigan to Arizona (and back!) we make sure to stop here, and its the food highlight of our trip! Food is amazing, and service is great too. They even have good vegetarian options! Our dog loves their canine menu, but hes obviously easier to please than us :)

Absolutely loved this place. Was here a year ago a few time. All the food we had was excellent. Staff was extremely nice and attentive. The Mexican Scramble smothered in green sauce is the bomb! I only wish we were closer! Great place.

The food and service was great. Masks were not enforced which is what brings it down 1 star for me. Most patrons wore a mask, but it seems about 20% dont. Surprising considering the amount of elderly folk I saw in there.

Popped in for coffee before we hit the road for the rest of our trip at the recommendation of a local. Ordered an iced breve with S.F. vanilla tops with whip cream bc why not, Im on vacay. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and had a good attitude. I like a stronger espresso taste to my breve than this one had but it was still good. The menu looked so good and I def. cant wait to eat next time I come through!
We were staying down the street at the Blue Swallow and they recommended that we eat here. We came for breakfast and Im glad we did. They have a great menu with lots of taste tempting things to fill you up. We sat down and were greeted by our friendly server who immediately poured us delicious hot coffee. My wife got the biscuits and gravy. Three biscuits and a huge bowl of thick white gravy. It was delicious and way more than she could eat. I ordered the Smothered Burrito with green chili sauce. It was stuffed with eggs, bacon, cheese, beans and topped with verde sauce. I was scrumptious. They play 50s music and the serves are dressed in period aprons. It is not a large place so it was full of folks the whole time we were there. The restrooms were spotless. They also have a coffee bar where you can order smoothies, lattes and capuchino. If you are passing through dont pass this place bye.
Stopped in for breakfast just as they opened. Our host/waiter was very friendly and made helpful suggestions concerning the various menu selections. Our choices were prepared and served in just a few minutes, all the while classic Route 66 themed music played gently in the background. All four of us had a very good breakfast at a very reasonable price.

My burrito was outstanding. My wifes food, while good, missed the mark on her request--the eggs ordered scrambled well-done were barely done, and bacon ordered extra crispy was not crispy at all. Good quality food, appropriate portion sizes, though. Wed gladly visit again.
Our family was traveling back to Kansas and we were so glad we made the stop! Great customer service and the food was amazing. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Definitely recommend!
