Food was good. Coffee alright. The bistro atmosphere was nice. And outdoor seating was great that day.
Fantastic variety of espresso and drip coffee. Great pastries. The breakfast tacos and scrambles are amazing as well. There are plenty of options for ☕️in Tulsa, this one is on my podium for sure 🥇🥈🥉.
Love this place! COVID friendly and amazing staff. Chimera is by far one of my all time Tulsa favorite restaurants. You can feel the thoughtfulness throughout your entire experience here. From the drinks to the food to the staff it’s an all around great place and deserves to be frequented and supported!
Had a coffee meeting here while in town and it had everything you would want in a Cafe. The coffee was good, the wifi was fast, and the ambiance was welcoming. I have fairly plain tastes when it comes to coffee so I cant provide much more than it was tasty and I would happily visit again.
Tulsa classic for vegetarian café foods. So many unique, tasty, and somewhat healthy options. They do not skimp on the variety of flavorful ingredients in all their tacos, bowls, and sandwiches. This place has become my default for picking up lunch for friends when I cant think of anything else :)
Great breakfast dishes and nice strong coffee. Great place for a breakfast meeting outdoors.
I’ve now been to Chimera twice in the past few weeks, both times for Sunday Brunch. Other times I’ve come by in the afternoons for a brew with friends.Chimera has a ton of good coffee and usually an eclectic selection of beer (8taps). The nitro coffee is my go-to.Brunch - it gets busy, long lines to order food and a decent wait to get ordered items. Breakfast tacos are a bit pricey (4-4.5$/per). Patience though, it is worth both wait and price. Three tacos are enough to fill me completely and I’m a big guy. There are seven different tacos and you get to add a salsa to each; what I’ve had are delicious. The place is mostly catering vegetarian/vegan dishes, and is all good. There are a lot of seating options, indoor and out. Bicycle pickups just outside. Well lit indoor and music plays lightly.
I was looking for some healthy breakfast options and a dirty chai for my son on his birthday. Chimera had delicious coffee and chai options and the avocado toast was super. The breakfast tacos also had the most amazing tasting cilantro on it! I loved the outdoor seating option and the whole street is just super cute.
Came here for dinner as we love good coffee and breakfast is served all day. It was bit with the family. The cappuccinos were perfection. The foam was done just right: art but held its shape as your drank. Seriously perfect. Our food was very good as well. My husband and I shared the San Diego club on sourdough with hummus and carrots. It was delicious. The bread was obviously fresh. Our girls each got a Kelly blue plate special. You really can’t go wrong with scrambled eggs and bacon for kids. This was a elevated version of a staple. The bacon was delicious—long, thick strips that seemed to have some kind of glaze. Again, we got sourdough for the toast which both girls just loved. A simple plate, but perfect for our 5 and 7 year old.Food wise, I give five solid stars. I’m only rating four overall. It’s on the pricey side, but the food really is worth it. However, because of the price with tip, I’d have expected a bit more service wise. It’s counter service, and while the people were friendly, they didn’t really do anything service wise but bring our food out. Idk, if a tip is requested up front when ordering, I feel like there should be some follow through to deserve that tip.Overall, it was a very good experience, and I’d happily eat here again if we find ourselves in Tulsa.
Love working remotely from here; friendly staff and delicious eats.
Fantastic breakfast! Fantastic bloody Marys! Super nice and efficient staff! Im a senior citizen who loved this hip spot!
Incredible baked goods, welcoming atmosphere. Absolutely the best spot for breakfast and coffee in Tulsa
This place was great! Good coffee and breakfast options. Tried coffee with cardamom flavors and it was amazing!
Hours are not accurate on google. I came here to work for the afternoon because it said they are open until 7pm, but they closed at 3pm shortly after I arrived and ordered coffee. When I informed the employee he shrugged and said that sucks.
Great service, delicious food and coffee. Was going to take a picture of the beautiful tacos, but I was so excited to try them, I devoured them instead. They taste better than they look, and they have beautiful presentation. Was worth the short walk from Downtown to the Arts District. Definitely see myself as a return customer!
Really good food and service. Sourdough bread is absolutely delicious.
Ive been here twice and the food tastes good but I cant bring myself to give the place 5 stars yet. Two reasons: on the first visit, my eggs were overcooked and the potatoes and bacon were a little cold. Something I would not expect for the price I paid. On the second visit, the tacos were good but there were little flies everywhere that eventually drove me out. Also, all the power plugs werent working so it wasnt a good place for me to sit an work, which is what Ive been trying to find in the Downtown area: a place to eat and drink and work for a few hours.
Food was good a little too gen z for me
A good variety of vegan food. Whether youre in a religious fast, want to stop eating certain things, or just vegan yourself you will enjoy. Their coffee is also very good. I had the black bean burger and butternut squash queso. Would recommend.
The food is always great, with lots of customization available. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I also appreciate all the effort they went through to ensure the safety of their employees and customers during the COVID situation.
Trying to eat healthy. Googled and found it early Sunday morning. Always like to try new things and they did not disappoint. Had the smothered burrito and the quinoa and chickpea burger. The sauce on the burrito was excellent. The char on the burger made it so good. Totally satisfying. Got back in the truck and drove three hours with out feeling stuffed or hungry.
This is the kind of place you reslly want to succeed but they still need some work. I ordered what they call a blue plate special and a cup of normal coffee. The eggs and bacon were cold. The service was disinterested. Unless you absolutly require something made out of an avacado for your breakfast, I would recommend just about any diner in the area for a better breakfast at half the price.
This is our new favorite cafe!! The only downside is that its a 2 hour drive from home. While in Tulsa for 24 hours, we visited Chimera twice! It is nestled in the wonderful Tulsa Arts district and is truly a vegetarian and or vegans dream. They have options for omnivores as well but really put effort into providing amazing, delicious dishess for the rest of us. They make vegan donuts in house even! The coffee is all made to order based on individual preference, something Ive never seen before. The staff is hip, they are friendly, and the place is packed with happy customers always. We will be making additional trips to Tulsa JUST for Chimera.
The food was great, and they had plenty of delicious vegan and vegetarian options.
The new Chimera Cafe menu has a good variety of vegan options and they are super delicious. A must try is their fresh orange juice. I really liked how they had arranged the food in bowl and tacos. I just wish if they give a bit more of pico de gallo. Their red hot sauce is the kick. The staff is friendly and sweet; restaurant is clean.
It was a very different experience. Not your usual dining place. As its name suggests, it is a mixture of so many places.....enjoyed the breakfast but its on the expensive side.
Don’t go here. This morning, one of the staff members didn’t miss a chance to make my partner and me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I work at a coffee shop so I know a thing or two about customer service. Body language and tone of voice are very important. I don’t know what this person was going through but they shouldn’t have been at work. The sign on the front door says “Be nice or leave”. Shouldn’t this apply to everyone? Food was delicious. But it wasn’t worth the attitude. This was our first time there.
Cross-training is the answer to efficiency. While standing in line I noticed a lot of moving pieces but not a lot of work being done. There were people that had waited for 45min for a drink. We waited 45min for a breakfast bowl. I decided not to get anything after the manager updated me on a change in menu items and the item I ordered was no longer available. If you happen to see 10+ standing in line, skip Chimera, come back after the crowd dies down.
This place only deserves 5 star reviews. Their vegan options are INCREDIBLE! Highly recommend biscuits and gravy, green light taco, cauliflower wings, and Buffalo cauliflower wrap. YUM
Awesome cafe with great outdoor seating, city views, alongside delightful gluten free and vegan options; the salsas are to die for.
Favorite vegan food in Tulsa hands down. Weekly vegan specials, daily juice blends, local kombucha on tap, vegan treats, yoga happenings on the cork board, breakfast all day, beer and coffee - I could go on and on about all that I love about Chimera. The service is the crux of Chimera for me; its a coin toss whether the service will be friendly or downright unpleasant. And they close early on Monday (always when Im craving it).
Busy morning, nice atmosphere, super friendly staff, ask the food was terrific.
We showed up at 2:50 on a Saturday. They have the restaurant listed as being open til 7pm, but somebody basically walked to the halfway point of the line and told us and everybody behind us that they were closing and we had to leave. Who on earth runs their business like that?
Outstanding service, really good food, excellent atmosphere. Came in from out of town and would highly recommend. Well be back!
Great vegan and vegetarian options for all food moods. Amazing coffee. Best breakfast burrito in town! Love the Super Veggie Wrap, the Smoke and Mirrors sandwich, Twinster Vegan Plate, and the Juice of the Day! Chimera never disappoints.
Really good! People are super nice and the coffee and bakery items are awesome.
The Biscuits and Gravy was awful. The biscuits were red and pink all the way through very hard like they were old and the taste was unbareable. The Cashew Gray was cold and lacked much cashew with overwhelming taste of garlic and oil.
Coffee is great, my Vegan friends love the food.
Wanted to love this place as we are Vegan and loved the idea that something like this was here in town. After multiple visits though it just keeps disappointing. Most of the food has been great but the service is no bueno. They definitely want to have that cool hip restaurant vibe but unfortunately don’t seem to have the skill or follow through to pull it off. Much of staff are immature and not good customer service people. We have regularly waited a looooong time for online orders. Like 20 mins more than the ETA. After voicing we are vegan we ordered the potatoes and they put bacon in it randomly 🤷🏻♂️ Again really want to like it but they need to ramp up their staff training and quality control.
I gave Chimera 3 stars because the portions are small and the flavor is ok. I am a new vegan and recently had Elote for lunch and was quite impressed with the flavors and seasonings. I think for 13 bucks my side of fruit shouldnt come in a condiment container. The portions were toddler portions. Thank God I had bread.Nothing against them, the atmosphere is great. I just dont feel satisfied. Still hungry.
Awesome spot, I wish their menu had photos of the food but other than I had a good experience there and plan on visiting again.
I give them a 3 star because the food was good but it just wasnt enough. Especially being vegan you gotta eat a ton. I also tried the coffee and it was great. If this place could give me a meal with 1000 calories for the same price I would come back.
This was my very first time at Chimera, and, unfortunately, I can not say if the food/drinks is good or not because I was turned away 15 minutes before closing. They told me the kitchen was closed and I could not order anything, even the coffee I wanted. However, the lady said it pretty rudely and didnt give me a chance to say anything else before she turned to talk to her co-workers, so their service isnt great. This has also shown me that they do not close when they say they are closed, so do they actually close at 6:30/6:45, not 7? Im stuck wondering though what kind of business is open and turns away customers, especially paying customers. Last time I checked, you should be able to order until closing not order until the kitchen feels like closing.
I visited this place per my friends suggestion. Not going to lie when I saw the menu and walked in I was actually thinking what the heck am I going to get here? This place looks to healthy. Wow, was I wrong and impressed! This is a very hipster cool place to visit. This place features food all freshly grown in Oklahoma and all their food vendors are even featured on their menu and where their local farm is which is such a great local touch that you just dont get elsewhere. Its also nice knowing that these eggs are actually freshly cage free eggs rather than store bought.I got a drip coffee and 2 tacos, 1 teenage riot and 1 other that I just forgot the name of, whoops! Anyways, each taco is $4.50 a taco which is pretty steep if you ask me but it is filled up pretty good. The drip coffee was nothing to rave about next time ill probably opt out for water. Besides that creamer and sugar isnt on your table its in the corner so Im pretty sure I spilled coffee walking back to our table. The place was packed when we came Sunday morning we were lucky enough to find a seat but other people I did notice were standing around waiting for tables to open. This place just has local charm, the table markers after you place your order are alphabet letters just very all unique. The baristas are friendly and get the long line moving which is also a huge plus.If youre a carb lover and want to try something other than tacos they did offer bowls, home made scones which just looked divine and they had this chocolate covered donut that I kept eyeing!
I was so happy to find a vegetarian restaurant in Tulsa. This one did not disappoint either. The food was good and the options were fun. I brought my family which are not vegetarians and they enjoyed their food. I enjoyed theirs more than mine sadly. I chose poorly. The environment here is set up for a very laid back crowd, with community tables, private tables and a no rush attitude. Your are able to stay as long as you like it appears. I watched many people stay and work after their meal. Go with a small crowd if you want to sit quickly!
I have found great comfort in studying at chimera for my final year of undergrad. The fresh juice, the breakfast, the atmosphere, and the fast wifi have all proven to be worthy of five stars. Yesterday, though, that changed when staff members decided to play the same five ABBA songs on repeat for an hour. Usually I would not see this as a problem (ABBA is awesome), but the music was loud and extremely distracting. I politely asked a couple of baristas to change the playlist to something different and they responded that they were busy and hadn’t had time to change it (totally understand, I’m a server as well and I get it). I went back to my seat, thinking the issue had been resolved until staff members started playing Super Trooper three or four times in a row. They even peered over at my friend and I to see our reaction. This is a very difficult time in the semester and finding a welcoming environment to study in is hard as is. I find it incredibly discouraging that the staff members chose to blatantly disrespect me after I made a reasonable and polite request. I had to go up a second time and politely ask again, this time making my request to a tall man with a deep voice. He was much kinder and apologetic and immediately changed the station. I cannot fathom why employees would choose to make a regular customer uncomfortable and anxious, but they did and it was in very poor taste. If this was an accident, no harm no foul, but seeing as the baristas were watching my reaction, I can only assume that this was a purposeful aggression. I will be back, I still love the place, but I think the staff needs some revision/customer service training.
The best vegan restaurant in Oklahoma. The adzuki bacon is a must order. My husband and I both prefer the adzuki bacon over pork. I think that says it all. The avocado blt is fabulous. The vegetables and fruit is fresh, and you can tell it in the taste. The tofu scramble is also just amazing. The consistency is just like scrambled eggs, and tastes very similar. The prices are pretty reasonable, especially being a vegan restaurant. And it also has a menu for the meat eater. The staff is super friendly too! The happiest Ive ever been with a restaurant.
Lovely atmosphere, great customer service and delicious vegan options!
The food is perfect. Lattes are perfect. The building is so pretty and the staff are sweet and capable.
Great gluten-free selection of food, plenty of space, and the food tasted great
This was such a happy, wonderful surprise to discover in Tulsa. We were in town for one night and found this gem online. They offer really delicious vegan food, well crafted drinks and scrumptious deserts in the heart of Tulsa. But maybe the best part was the great staff! We liked it here so much, we’re headed back in the morning for breakfast before we head out of town. You won’t be disappointed eating here!
Very relaxed atmosphere. Menu was outside and easy to navigate. Tacos were delicious and unique! Will definitely come back
First time in but I was refused service. I tried to place an order for a Postmates customer as well as an order for myself. I was told that they would not take a postmates order for some reason, but they also refused to take my personal order. They wouldnt give me a reason; i can only assume they wouldnt take my personal order because I work with Postmates. Very rude!. Definitely wouldnt recommend this poor excuse of customer service!
Delicious and fresh. The meal was filling. The price was fine. The service was excellent. And they are very health safety conscious. Would recommend.
Stopped in for a late breakfast/lunch :) Had two of their tacos and a cortado. Everything was so good! First time and and definitely wouldn’t be my last if I lived here!
Just love the vegan options, it’s my favorite spot! Try the vegan tacos
Good drip coffee, breakfast taco and outdoor area to chill!
