New Husqvarna mower broke with 20 hours on it. I went in south side mowers and told the person at the desk I needed warranty work. First thing out of his mouth where did you buy it from. I did not purchase it from them but it does have a nationwide husqvarna warranty. The guy at south side mowers said we are 5 weeks behind as he was watching tv. Took it to Maverick Machinery LLC. Very nice people that will have it done within a week they said. With all the rain the past 5 weeks. Please. Will never step in your shop again.
They have taken excellent care of me. I bought a Toro Timecutter Zero Turn mower last Summer. The mower is fantastic and more than cuts my mowing time in half. The customer service from Southside Mower has been great!

Very rude service, and extremely poor quality
Ive been in this shop 2 times and have left each time swearing to myself that Id never go back; I hope this time I hold myself to it! Went in last week and the guys at the desk couldnt answer simple questions about parts or repairs. Couldnt offer opinion on whether part in question could be warrantied and couldnt present a timetable if I left machine there. Basically if you want to waste time and get the same service you would from a website, stop into Southside. I bet most of us can replace them with the internet and not have to engage with crabby people!
Bought a smoking deal on a end-of-season husqvarna. They were incredibly friendly and have a reputation in the community for great service. Id recommend them without hesitation.
This is a shop with a small business feel. Wish there were more places around like this. Customer service is great!
So, only a select few shops work on the type of mower I have. Southside mowers happened to be one of the ones that do and that I have used in the passed, so naturally i went to them. I was initially told there was a 10-day turn around. Dropped off in early december. Its now January 29th. I have called several times just for updates. First I got, We were on a 2-week vacation for Christmas. Which is awesome! Great, Im glad they were able to bless their staff with that. Second call, 2 weeks later.. they tell me, well, chainsaws and headgetrimmers have priority right now. Cool! I totally get that 100%. Just checking up. Then, today I call. Guy answers. I let him know its been almost 40 days. He told me about the vacation, then added the guys been sick. Cool, I totally get it. Now what bothered me was then he said to me, Its not like youre using it right now. My reply was, Actually, I do have things I need to use it for.Being in the customer service business as well as lawncare, this just bothered me.All other calls were great, polite, and informative.

Bought a drive belt June 2019 for $75. It last just over 3 months. Counterman said it has been a rough season on belts, thick grass. He quoted the new price was $90. I disagree with accepting the increase. I found the belt online for under for under $40 and eventually at a local lawnmower repair shop for $53. This new belt unlike the Southside belt was a Kelvar belt and made in the USA. Not sure of the country of origin of the Southside belt, counterman wasnt sure (probably China). Contacted Southside about my findings, he stated I will charge what I want for my belt. Basically, if you want to be overcharged and suspect parts, this is your place of business. These types of brick and mortar shops are the fuel for online shopping. The right part, fair pricing, and good customer service. OWNER REPLY - Is another example of their misleading and unreputability. The online pricing was an OEM belt from an authorized dealer. Also another fact, you didnt provide me the OEM part number. I provided you the receipt from my original purchase in June. It had the part number printed on the receipt. What you looked up was how you jacked the price up in just over 3 months another $15 and used the excuse belts are failing because they are cutting thick grass. This is also when I questioned the country of origin of the belt. Well that is what $4K lawn mower is designed and engineered to accomplish - cutting grass, thick or thin. The only anger exhibited during any phone conversations was yours basically after you were exposed in every aspect. BUYER and CUSTOMER BEWARE - questionable service and pricing...
They fixed my non-running husqvarna trimmer and it seriously runs better and starts easier now than it did out of the box after southside did their complete service and a few other things. They were upfront about their backlog and resultant wait times from the start and delivered within their estimated time window.
Thankful for the honest opinions. I am not a commercial buyer. Just a customer looking for the right mower for my private residence.
Beware of price tag. I noticed on one of their pieces of equipment that they offer zero % financing for 48 months so i started looking at price tags that list a 4,400 cash price and a 4,900 financed price so I asked and was told they already have the lowest prices and they had financing charges and I think to myself hmm ok makes sense although thats not zero% financing then I look at the tag further and take their monthly payment number of 117 bucks times the 48 months and you end up paying over 5600 for the mower which makes a mower you can buy with cash for 4400 and tacks on 1200 dollars in financing charges thats over 30 percent of the price of the mower to begin with. No thanks Ill pass. Honesty goes along way.
I recently was told they had several Shindaiwa F222 trimmers on their website.After checking, I called to inquire using the number provided and they did have in stock.Southside must be living in the stone age as they advertise on the web, but DO NOT SHIP!!!!!!!!!What a waste of Bandwidth and energy in creating the webpage if they do not ship.

Really crappy. Go in there to get the parts for my mower. The guy at the desk tells me he doesnt carry the parts. I asked him if anyone in town carried the parts and he told me he didnt know and that their not worth carrying because its not worth replacing the parts on a hundred dollar mower. I personally will not be goung back there for anything. Their website said they carried the parts I needed.
I called Southside Mowers about getting my lawn mower serviced because it would not start and was told to bring it in for an estimate. After I got to the shop I had to wait for 10 minutes at the counter for 1 of the 4 people behind it to help me. Once I was helped I was told someone would call me to let me know what was wrong with the mower, the cost of the repair and that they were 2 weeks out for any service. Over 3 weeks later I finally called to check on the mower and found out it was done. I asked what the problem with the mower was and was told they would let me know once I came in. Southside Mowers had a coupon online for $10 off their mower service that I printed off and took in with me when I went to pick up the mower. When I got to the shop I told them I was there to pick up the mower and I wanted to know what was wrong with it, after they told me the problem I let them know that no one had ever called me to tell me it was finished or what was wrong with the mower that needed to be fixed. I handed they my coupon with my credit card and was told I couldn’t use it because they didn’t charge enough labor time on my bill. They didn’t seem to care about anything I had to say and there customer service along with their attitudes sucked. I work in a retail and promise I will let others know not to go there.
