For around 4 years now we have been renting at Sunsports as well as getting gear and we havent been anywhere else since. The staff is more than happy to answer any questions and when trying on gear they want to make sure that it fits right. The rental skis and boots are in very nice condition and the owner is often patrolling the shop if needed. I would highly recommend Sunsports because they care.

This sports shop has a lot of gear and equipment for snow sports and some water sports items. The atmosphere feels nostalgic, like it takes you back to a time past. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

We were looking for skis and boots and couldnt find anything in Sonora so after we searched for a ski place, we came upon Sun Sport. We had never been to Turlock and wasnt really sure about this trip but the reviews were amazing so ventured out. I am so glad we did and so glad that we listened to the viewers. The service was amazing and we were able to to have the bindings put on while we waited. The price was great and the store was packed full of happy people. Sun Sports sells or rents all ski equipment and I highly recommend this place!!!

What a pleasant experience! My family showed up on a Saturday afternoon to get ready for 17/18 Ski season and Alyssa & Cameron helped the family find all the right gear. Everyone was very knowledgeable, very helpful, and made the purchase experience enjoyable. Dennis was there to make watch over the process, but his team did an excellent job. Thanks Sunsports - The family is now ready for the ski season. This is definitely the place we will go fall of our future winter or summer sports gear.

I called on a Wednesday evening and asked if I could bring two snowboards in for a tune up(wax and edge) the following day. Also, I asked if they would be ready for the weekend. I was told yes, that they would be done by Friday afternoon. It was Friday afternoon so I called to see if they were ready. They told me they would be done by 5 in the evening. When I picked up the two boards Friday evening, I got a LECTURE that I shouldnt bring them on a Thursday and expect to have the boards ready the next day. Furthermore, on the phone I was first told the wax and edge would be $30-$35 a board, instead I was charged $40 per board. The service did match up to what I had been promised when I first called. The poor communication within the staff was evident. I should not have been guilt tripped by being told my boards were put in front of another customers because I was continuously calling; instead, if you are overbooked, do not promise service you can not follow up with. It is a disgrace that I was the one put at blame.

This place is absolutely amazing, ok so I walked in thinking Id just do some price checking of a snowboard package and maybe get an idea of what to buy online ( because you think thats where the better deals are) so the actual owner helped me out and was fully knowledgeable in what he had in store and how to set me up after asking me the kind of ridding I was doing and other questions. After finding the right board, boot and bindings for me and mind you I wasnt planning on buying only looking he made me an offer I couldnt have beat online anywhere and believe me I checked all the web sites on the way to the bank so I knew I was getting a deal. He even had the option of putting it out on layaway if I wanted to make payments but I had to walk out the door with it. Its a very cool store with a small family feel. I like keeping the local stores open and if I ever have a problem i can walk right in and get great service. I got a K2 board with some trick slip in Fuse bindings and a comfortable pair of Anthem boots . Even picked up a bag to go with it. Thanks SunsportsSincerely Craig

Lost a strap on my bindings, Jimbo a very flight over the phone and very helpful and had a very high-quality spare for a more than fair price. You offered a lot of helpful advice given that I am new to the sport.

Sunsports has a wonderful selection of merchandise in performance clothing, sports gear per season, quality items that last, knowledgeable personnel. Do not peruse for knowledge and buy online or elsewhere - support your local business.
