Respectful, they dont price gauge, super friendly! They dont make you feel like youre dumb for not knowing things as a first time gun owner which I think is really important! Prices are the best, probably in all of California! Ive heard people drive 4 hours just to buy their gun from here!Definitely recommend!

Been coming here for over two years. Everybody is super helpful, friendly and patient. Yes they can get busy but bare with them. Their prices are very competitive and have not taken advantage like others with price gouging with this whole ammo and firearm shortage.I have bought many handguns from them and now my first AR. I am always shopping here. Every visit has been a positive experience! Thank you Alquist!!!

Please Read.I am a new Gun owner and I must say that Alquist Arms and the Fellas who run it are very good people and made my time there amazing thus far. I now have 4 guns from them, not to mention there prices are the best around after doing my research. Give them a Shot because I promise you wont regret it.

Shopped here plenty of times, staff is helpful whenever I’m buying in store. When it’s came to online orders, the owner has been rude and not very helpful when I came in to sign the paper work and later to pick up the gun when it was ready. Recently, bought a CA legal gun hoping to get it shipped to their shop, but they’ve ignored mine and the other gun shop’s emails.

The men and woman that work at this gunshop are very professional and make it there purpose to make sure you have a great experience getting any firearm, greatly recommend this establishment.

No gun smithing even tho the store website says it does. Owner said we sell to many guns and do not have time...How about hiring someone then.

The store is always clean, clean bathrooms, all around clean. I love this place. The owner is a awesome guy.

Absolutely horrible customer service, this shop is anti law enforcement when they claim not to be, wouldnt let me take the safety test or do a gun transfer because they didnt have time. Not to mention they have nothing in stock anyways. I will be going to Stage Stop from now on, where you are treated with respect..

All the employees are really nice with customers, But owner he is so rude and disrespectful to customers. I purchased a firearm from them last week, his wife did my paperwork and told me they are out of ammo she will put note on my account they are out of ammo and I have to go back later to buy ammo when they have it. I went there today and talk to Owner and he told me they were never out of ammo for past 7 months. And his wife wouldnt say that and he has to check with her. He made me look like a lier in front of other customers. Then he went back and talked to his wife and then came back and he told me he didnt get that caliber for last 6 months. Which is I dont believe him since he said he never ran out of ammo for 7 months. I am so disappointed with that store and never go back there, unfortunately not only me also all my family we used to do business with Alquist arms.

Super helpful and friendly. My wife and I went in a few weeks ago, we were inexperienced. The guys working there made it a great experience. Did not try to up sell over priced gun, even suggesting I wait on a shotgun until some lower priced ones came back in stock. I could go on and on, so I’ll just say I highly recommend this place.

The one and only place I come! I cannot express how helpful and personable the entire staff here is. Spent about 45 min with John yesterday. He was more than thorough and patient answering all of our questions . Took his time showing us multiple models until we found the perfect one. This gun shop is the best in town. Great people and very knowledgeable staff that have the answer to all your questions. The prices are great compared to places like Sierra Arms. The only downside is not having a lot of things in stock that are on the website. Overall amazing gun shop hands down!

I’ve purchased every one of my new firearms from this fine establishment but one. (They no longer stocked the p239 as it was discontinued ). I’ve had no problems purchasing guns or ammo here.

Worst experience at a gun store I’ve ever experienced would not recommend to anyone. The owner was very rude and accusing. Not a good selection of ammo or guns and prices were outrageous. Take your business elsewhere.

My most recent experience was not the best.They dont answer the phone ever. I tried calling in advance to pick up a gun.They refer you over to the Facebook account but cannot be reached there either.Tried picking up my gun and they kicked me off the line with more than an hour left for closing time.I am not sure if I will continue shopping here.There is one other gun store in Turlock that i just found out about and the customer service there is great. From the initial contact via email it was nothing but great customer service all around, mind you it was Labor Day weekend when I emailed the business and I actually received a reply that very day!!! As a lifelong shooter who has been shooting and buying guns since I was a young boy in Montana, I have to say that Alquist Arms and their staff are bar none the finest, nicest, best priced gun shop that I have ever been in in my life. They have always been super friendly, allowed layaway for those guns you really want but just cant afford that day, and easily have the best prices anywhere in the valley area. I drive 1 hour each way to save money, and always enjoy the friendly faces when I pick up. I will only shop with them from now on after my third purchase. Im not much of a fanboy for the most part, but they are simply the best of the best IMO.

Im disappointed at the ignorance level of this shop. The misinformation spread here is sad. Ive already debunked the info they claim direction from DOJ with no documentation.Shady shop. This is the second sour encounter here.

I went to in today to pick up my gun that I had purchased 10 days ago. I called ahead of time to make sure they had EVERYTHING that they needed from me. I spoke with Bobby Alquist, who assured me that my gun was ready to be picked up. I drove directly there after work, which took me an hour and a half due to traffic and I arrived about 10 minutes before closing. I am then told that they need proof of residency. And no, My drivers license was not good enough. The bills that I have in my name, are not written exactly like it is on my license. I can however give them a rental agreement, which my roommate who mind you was in the middle of working, dropped what he was doing and was in the process of getting the rental agreement to me as quickly as he possible could. While I am in the process of trying to get this resolved, Bobby is pacing back and forth and saying how he has been working all day and how he has a long drive to get home and how he has stops to make before he gets home and how he has to be at work tomorrow for hours and how he is only making $40 off of my purchase. I began to speak to him about how this could have all been avoided if he had just told me the issue before I arrived. He proceedes to tell me that informing me ahead of time would have been a waste of his time and effort. Like this whole fiasco wasnt??? I told him that I would like a refund and that I would not be back and that I would tell as many people as possible not to shop there, to which he replied thats okay, I already have too much business.
