Searching for a specific vehicle led me to Tuscaloosa Jeep more than 200 miles from home. From the initial contact, Austin Wood and David Richardson were incredible. Communication was always rapid and thorough. Negotiations were fair. Despite the deal already being closed remotely, the team still took the time to send me pictures of the vehicle unloaded in the showroom. I know they sell tons of these things, but Austin seemed to communicate an excitement that made the purchase fun. David even went as far as to take care of some additional items that I needed to have done prior to delivery. When it came time to fly in and collect the vehicle, they were flexible with my schedule and made the entire experience simple. Signing the paperwork was the easiest process with no unwanted services pushed upon me. On my drive home and even in the following days, the team checked in to make sure all was going well.

STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! If I could give a negative score, I would. My daughter is away at UA and her Jeep started running hot. I told her to take it here to be diagnosed since I figured it was probably just a thermostat. They charged me $100 to tell me it was a blown head gasket and wanted to charge me almost $5,000 to repair it. I sent her across the street to Tuscaloosa Tire and Service Center for a second opinion.... guess what... it was only a thermostat and it runs like new. They are taking advantage of students away from their families, knowing they have to get their vehicle repaired. I wonder how many students, and parents theyve ROBBED? I want my $100 back!!!

Brought my wife’s vehicle in for oil change. Very speedy and helpful. Got in and out quick. Figured they topped off all the fluids in the vehicle. Driving down the road the wiper fluid sensor came on saying fluid low. No problem. Filled it when I got home. Figured I’d check the coolant while I had the hood up. Coolant wasn’t checked. I had to get some to fill the radiator. Does topping fluids off not come with oil changes anymore?
What a wonderful experience I had purchasing from Carlock! The entire team was so courteous, likable and professional. Rob and I began with a quick call about what I wanted (I was super specific) and he had to work a little extra to help me, but he found it and made it happen. He was consistent with follow-up, but never pushy. It was “just right” and I could tell with just a few exchanges via text and phone that I was going to like working with him. We just clicked and I knew it was worth the hour drive to have him help me.Rob and Austin were awesome! Took 2 hours and a half for an oil change and a tire rotation. Come to find out they didnt rotate my tires. When I ask them to check to see if they had been rotated they just said yes you just need to drive it some. Had to spend and extra 30 minutes driving back and forth to the dealership when they finally checked it and they were not rotated. Then they tried to make it sound like it was my fault. No one ask me any questions the whole time I was waiting and all they needed was my wheel key which was it the car. Terrible service and all they could say or do was I am sorry.
Scheduling was a breeze online, and even received a reminder. Upon arrival my Rep was prompt and thorough with follow up questions to identify my issue and pleasant to talk to. Awsome experience!!!
Last month, I received a notice in the mail stating that my Chrysler 200 had a recall on it. Well trying to get someone in the service department to schedule a time when I could bring it in was a hassle. The lady that does the scheduling must have the longest lunch break in the world. So I had to call FCA in order for them to get me to someone where I could schedule the appointment. Took my car in to have the recall fixed on June 3. Took an hour or so to reset the computer. Not a problem. Well what would I know on June 28th, my air conditioner would magically stop working. Brought it to CDJR to get freon added, well they told me they couldn’t add any because my compressor was out. So they preceded to tell me the part for my car was $1,055 and it’ll be $1100 even after taxes. So I’m thinking hard about, I tell them I’ll just come get my car, cause ain’t no way on God’s Green Earth I’m giving them that much for no part. I left there confused because I had just gotten a new a/c and compressor in 2017. So I ordered my part from online and got it replaced for a whole lot cheaper than taking it to them. COME TO FIND OUT THEY REMOVED MY FUSE AND DIDN’T MAKE ME AWARE OF IT. SO NOW I’M OUT ALMOST $800. BECAUSE THEY WERE TRYING TO RIP ME OFF. Of course if you remove a fuse it’s going to give you a bad reading so therefore get a second opinion before taking your car here. AND LADIES IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING TAKING YOUR CAR TO GET SERVICED SEND YOUR HUSBAND, FATHER, BROTHER, UNCLE, GRANDPA OR SOME MALE FIGURE IN YOUR LIFE. THEY’RE A RIP OFF. Could have just stated I needed a fuse but that would have been too much like right. If I could have given negative stars I would have.
No issues with setting up initial appointment with customer service. Very flexible. The service center itself is nice and big. Waiting area could use some attention, example no coffee or bottle water available, no charging stations for your phone. Service tech seems nice and knowledgeable.
I love the fact that my Jeep got fixed and that everything was still under warranty but the customer service was horrendous. When I walked in it took way too long for someone to acknowledge me. I dropped my truck off at 7:30 am and at 1pm I still hadn’t heard anything. I called several times to check on my vehicle and no one from the service department was available nor ever called me back. I took it upon myself to just show up and check on my vehicle since no one would call me back my Jeep was finished and ready to go and yet no phone call. So I’m very appreciative for my vehicle being fixed but communication was lackluster.

I have purchased 4 vehicles from this dealership, even before they were Carlock. The entire team is exceptional and professional. My experiences have been simple and no pressure everytime.
I had two tires replaced at the service center. When I got my car back I noticed it had been driving, 20 miles, and my gas was gone. I asked the office staff about it, and there were no written indication that they had driven my Jeep. It quickly became evident that they took a joy ride in my car. As well as excessively driving my car with no attempt to even hide it, the driver seat was also broken and would no longer move up and down and is now stuck as high as it can go. The day before I had the car washed and it now had mud on it. On another note, the inside office staff was very quick and efficient.
I took my Jeep Renegade in for a recall repair. When I got there I was told one of the parts needed was not in. Seems like they would have checked on that before they allowed me to schedule. Consequently I had to go back to complete the work. Two trips for what should have only taken one. On a positive note, they did not take an extremely long time and the staff and technicians were very courteous.
Great customer service from Colin! Before we spent several months trying to get a radio replaced. It was ordered and sent back without us even getting a phone call about it. Colin was great! He stayed on top of everything and gave us a really nice car to use while ours was in the shop. I’d call him if you have any problems!
Our sales man Chris was absolutely fantastic. He was both informative and patient. If we had any questions he had answers and was willing to show us anything they had on the lot. Chris provided the perfect no pressure environment which ultimately lead us to forgo other dealerships and buy on the spot. Thanks again for such a wonderful car buy experience!

The customer service at Carlock in Tuscaloosa has been a terrible experience. This past service will be the last service I do at this dealership. From now on I will drive to Birmingham’s Chrysler dealership. My truck was there for 6 weeks getting the engine fixed after I received contaminated fuel from a gas station. It’s not the 6 weeks that bothered me, but the constant “It’ll be fixed on this day and I’ll call you with an update,” only to receive no phone call even after text messages and phone calls on the specified day from me. It would sometimes be three days before I’d get a call back, only to be told they hadn’t gotten to my truck yet. I wasn’t bothered by them not getting to my truck on the specified day. I was bothered by not hearing about them missing the time frame till 1 or 2 days after the day it was supposed to be fixed. A simple phone call on the projected day saying they were behind schedule would have been fine with me. The first time I picked up the truck from its initial repairs the check engine light came on as soon as I left the dealership as if they didn’t even do a test drive. Then the next time I picked it up, though it was fixed and is still running great, my truck was left a mess. For some reason someone had taken all the contents from my glove compartment and middle console out and placed them on my passenger seat (picture below shows the mess). The contents were left there and no explanation was given to me why anyone was in those compartments in the first place. My advisor wasn’t there when I picked up the truck that day, but I sent them a picture of the mess and expressed my displeasure with it. I never received a return message or phone call saying we’re sorry for the mess and that we’ll find out why anyone was in those compartments. Overall a terrible experience with the communication side of the process.
Everyone is nice and polite. I only thing I didnt like was standing in front of the cashier touching the bell and the sale associate could hear it. Whenever I got there attention they stated that I had to come back to them to pay. There was anything posted about the change in location and it wouldnt matter but I was a lunch and no one was waiting in the area when I first arrive. Associate was friendly and kind when the informed me of the change.
I bought my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee here back in September, and I would have to say it was the easiest process ever! Chris was definitely the best sales associate I have ever bought a vehicle from. He is very patient, kind, and knowledgeable, you would not feel pressured at all to buy from him. He made us feel comfortable through the entire process like we were right at home. These guys even gave me more than what my trade-in was worth according to KBB! If you are ever in the need for a new car, I highly recommend going down there and asking for Chris! Hes the tallest of the salesman with the high-top, you cant miss him!

Was told my car would be ready on Friday. On Friday was told it would be ready on Saturday. On Saturday nobody answered the phone.Today (Monday) was told it’d be ready in an hour. I showed up an hour later and waited another hour & 45 minutes. Just wasnt a good experience.

It was very low pressure, not pushy at all, and we came to a fair price on both sides. Chris had the truck waiting for me to test drive right when I walked in the door so it was a very fast experience for something that usually isn’t. I highly recommend this place, especially my salesperson, Chris Elliott.
Horrible! My wife sat for 3 hours to be told they could not fix the issue unless we allowed a technician to drive the vehicle home overnight. We live 75 miles from this dealership, no transportation was offered. The first part of the visit was spent assuring themselves she knew how to turn on the feature. Very insulting!As for the waiting, the last hour was after the vehicle was finished with. It sat in theparking lot for a full hour before a service representative told her it was ready.We purchased the vehicle from this dealership so I was very disappointed to have them treat her in this manner.We will contact Jeep to seek a resolution to our issue. Hopefully a different dealership will provide better and more efficient service!

Went shopping for a truck for my husband and everyone at the Carlock dealership was so friendly, we bought two vehicles. One for each of us. We have been to numerous dealerships and the others always made us feel rushed or a bother or pressured. Everyone here in every step of the process was amazing. Our salesman David was knowledgeable but also funny and easy to work with. Matt negotiated in a way that was helpful and didn’t make us feel like we had been dragged behind a bus like our former car buying experiences. We are from Las Vegas. We will fly here again for our next purchase. That is how great the experience was.
I had a 9am appointment. My front bumper parking sensors were loose and not performing properly. I decided to wait. At 11 am, I went to see what progress was being make. The service person just stared at me like he had no idea what was going on. He was actually seemed annoyed that I would even ask. He was playing on his phone after all. He said he would check on it. I stayed at his desk to be sure he did. He finally stumbled back in, only to tell me they haven’t started working on it yet, and they were waiting in a tech who could work on it. I told him, my appointment was a 2 hours ago. He said that was just to get me signed in, not to start the actual work. I waited another 2 hours. No one checked on me or updated me about anything. I asked another service person what was going on with my truck. They came back and told me, it was on a lift but no work had been done. At 3pm my alarm went off. It was time for me to get up and get ready for work. I hadn’t even gone to bed yet. Finally, at 4:30pm they called my name to tell me they couldn’t fix it !!! They would have to order a part for it. I was livid !!!! The tech then told me they would order the part and call me when it came it. Well, it’s been 3 weeks and counting and no one has called. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK THERE AGAIN. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST. I did business with Locklear for years with my first Durango. I thought I would do the same with my second. I would rather hug a angry bear than deal with them. I will tell any and everyone don’t do business with them.
Everyone treated me great. My experience was very positive. They have a friendly staff and they didnt take safety for granted. I was pleased with the knowledge and information I received before buying my vehicle. And at no time did I feel pressured to make a purchase. Good job guys!

I didnt buy my Ram truck from Carlock but I have used their body shop, quick lane oil change services, and the service department. Most of my visits were good but the last one was great! Ms. Patience was an excellent service representative. I will go back when needed and hope she is my service representative again. The service manager did good when he hired her.
Called ahead to schedule service for my vehicle. I was told to bring it in immediately. I had tried several places around town but was told I would have to wait a week for an appointment. Tyler gave me a time frame to let me know when the service would be complete. He was prompt and called me back in the time frame with an estimate of the cost for the parts and labor. I was able to pick my car up the following day.
Still having a little trouble focusing on the positive side things but Im hanging in there and my day was blessed
Very easy to deal with. They found us exactly what we were looking for. Incredibly quick turn around compared to other “painful” experiences when shopping for a new vehicle. I will use them again. Rob, Brad and Michael were fair and obviously trained correctly in customer service.
Truck shopping at this place was the absolute worst experience of my life. My husband and I were ganged up on by 5 different people trying to sell us a truck that we already said we didnt want then our keys were held hostage after they appraised our vehicle. I almost had to beg to get them back just so we could leave. AWFUL.
I wouldn’t recommend no one to come here as far as services goes. They have screwed me over tremendously. Collin and Devon. So many excuses and lies. I cannot get in touch with a general manager to discuss my issues. My mom will be contacting her attorney this afternoon and will be suing carlock.
Carlock never fails to live up to its shady reputation. A $95 diagnostic charge is twice what other dealerships charge, and then a simple oil change and tire rotation will turn into a $700 bill if you don’t do your homework. How can you just the markup of a $20 part to $550? Just ask Carlock! I might have to drive an extra hour to get any repairs from now on

I drove about two and half hours from Huntsville to trade in my car for a used Ford Mustang. As soon as I got there, I was greeted by the General Manager who brought us inside to meet with Mark, who I’d been coordinating with from the get go. Both were extremely accommodating and pleasant people. For someone who’s sense of smell is extremely keen, walking into the showroom was the same feeling as walking into a shoe store where the smell of fresh leather is vibrant and welcoming. We waited for the car to get pulled around. Once it was out front, I walked out to take it for a test drive and I was smitten. I tried keeping my expectations down because I didn’t want to disappoint myself, but the car was perfect - exactly how they’d described it. When I decided on buying, the process went very smoothly and without any issue, from paperwork to financing. The woman we worked with in finance was delightful and made very good conversation with us while present. It was a great car buying experience and I got an amazing vehicle out of it !
Was met by a Good morning greeting and ask what kind of issues I was having with my vehicle, the service representative ask for my key and also ask would I be waiting, I replied yes I was directed to the waiting room which had coffee and other amenities the waiting area was clean and quiet, my approximate wait time was 30min. Will use them again
When we arrived we were told it might take an hour to an hour and a half. It did not take as long as we were told. We were very appreciative of it not taking so long to get the oil, lube and filter.
Took my 17 year olds new jeep to fix “the death wobble”, which started after the first tire rotation from them. Several visits later it was even worse and I had to open a case with Jeep to get some help after they told them it was in normal working condition. I took it to another Jeep dealer near by and found that they had not only put a piece that had to do with the steering damper in backwards but shaved the piece to make it fit (backwards). Horrible!!! Will never ever go back there.

My husband and I really had a pleasant experience while we were at Carlock Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram of Tuscaloosa! Our car salesman Hunter was the best! Hunter went out of his way to make sure we got the car we wanted for the price that we were desiring to pay! I also like how the mechanic Kenneth rest assured us that the used car we were purchasing was safe & reliable for my husband, I, and our 2 kids! Additionally, we like how they honored the online price of the car instead of charging us a higher price! On top of that, they are every patient. Me and my husband had to go to the bank and get a cashier’s check, but it took us awhile to get it because we had to wait on someone to come get us from the dealership, take us to our bank, and bring us back to the dealership to pay for the car. While we were waiting, the sweet lady from the finance department (I don’t recall her name) never once rushed us to pay. She waited on on us, and we appreciate that! Go this dealership and ask for Hunter! You will NOT be disappointed!

We had the pleasure of walking up to a friendly face by the name of Hunter Sexton. He listened to what our needs and expectations were and he handled everything else from there. We could tell he was very knowledgeable and he seemed to have a lot of experience in his profession. A few hours later we actually purchased the vehicle. My mom seems to really be enjoying it. A great and friendly staff, not rude or pushy. Went to just look around at possibly downsizing from my full size truck. The guys there answered all the questions I had if they didn’t know they were honest and found someone who did know the answer. I only wish I would’ve have cake here first than dealing with my prior dealership. But, I believe I found the place I would love to deal with in the future. They went above and beyond to meet my needs and I left in a brand new wrangler with a huge grin! I couldn’t ask for better service and people to talk with. In 2012 was my 1st experience with this company and it was pretty good.I have had the opposite just recently!Colin, the service rep, was just harsh and short with me. His millitant-like demeanor came across as if I were being belittled. I didnt appreciate the lack of concern or interest in what the conditions of my vehicles mandatory needs were. When I picked up my car it was as if Nothing was done to it! Yes, I had several issues with my vehicle, but I would have liked to know that the Dang Hole in my tire would have prevented me from Driving My Car Home! 😫I was expecting a better outcome so that my car could go get detailed and we could ride peacefully and with cool air blowing my face.Nope! I wont visit again!Unless they find my keys that I cant seem to find Anywhere!!Thanks Colin 👎🏼

Worked with me before and made promises that they couldnt hold. I traveled from Montgomery based on them telling me that I was approved and to drive down. Got there and was given to a less experienced salesman by which he made me feel like I was wasting time. One of the Management guys ended uo trying to fix situation but I ended up shopping in Prattville and getting a better deal and financing. Unfortunately my credit took some serious hits due to all the credit pulls

Carlock eased my nerves! My son had an unfortunate event happen while he was there attending the University of Alabama and Im 2 and a half hours away. His caliper bolt came out and rubbed a crack in his Jeep wheel. AAA towed the vehicle to Carlock. They took good care of my sons Jeep and had him back on the road the next day. As a father of a child away from home, I cant say enough about the folks at Carlock (Austin, Matt and Maurice) who took great care of, not only my son, but my nerves as well! Thanks so much Carlock!
They got back to me very quickly. They were accommodating and helpful, especially because we weren’t able to come to the dealership in person.Had to come back and change my review because our car arrived with a chip in the windshield and incorrect weather mats that we requested and I have contacted them multiple times and they tell me they will call me back but the problem hasn’t been resolved and they don’t call me back. It is almost 2 months after we received our car. We are very frustrated and disappointed.

First time having my jeep wranglers oil changed and it was a good experience. Everyone was nice and it was very quick.
I was met at the service department very promptly. I was nicely greeted by the attendant. My issue was addressed expeditiously and I was in my way in about 20 minutes. Although my issue was minor I like the service I received.
Trade in prices are very fair. Vehicle pictures match what you see when you arrive at the dealership. My wife and I drove three hours for our Jeep Grand Cherokee. Customer service was above par and I will be getting my next Jeep from Carlock without a doubt. Overall amazing experience.

I was harassed into putting my name into a contract that wasn’t even my decision. They took my ID and ran my credit without my permission.

They messed up the mileage on one of the vehicles so the bank wouldnt allow it after the change. They kind of rushed it, didnt tell me the details, they were helpful, didnt get to test drive it until almost the end. Pricing was great, people were great, just my first time i expected more, the car i bought needs detailed badly and they didnt even offer to do it. My trade in wasnt the best vehicle but it was way cleaner than the one i bought

Robert might be one of the newer salesmen there but he has prior car sales experience and will go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable with your decision. He spent extra hours comparing other vehicles I had questions about. Had everything lined up and ready for me when I came back. I didn’t feel pressured with him and I was more than happy to work with him. But that’s not it. The entire staff seems like family. They helped each other to make everything work together. I didn’t get a feeling of anyone trying to take anything or be sneaking like I’ve gotten at some dealerships. The management staff from the top guy to the financial staff were all doing as much as they could to help. I would definitely come back for my next vehicle purchase

I recently had a recall done on my jeep, while doing the recall they noticed i had a oil leak that was starting and corrected it too.Their waiting area was clean and spacious.This is a very professional dealership

Service at the location is horrible. They lied to me twice. They couldn’t find a problem which means they didn’t look very hard. If the sunroof is leaking, that’s kind of hard to miss. Plus they couldn’t figure out how the key fob wasn’t working. If it won’t unlock the doors then it doesn’t work. I will not use them again.
***** UPDATED REVIEW *****After previous frustrations with Carlock, I have changed my opinion 180°.I had a very positive experience with a recent trade and purchase of a RAM 1500 Big Horn.The sales process was easy. They gave me a better value on my trade than what I was expecting in order to make things happen, and the price of the RAM was what I considered to be more than fair.There was a slight hiccup with the display for the radio/UConnect system. But they handled it without hesitation and took care of everything from start to finish.I will continue my relationship with Carlock and recommend them to others.
