My yard was very hilly, so it wasnt easy, but they installed my fence with no complaint and maid it look amazing, even custom building a gate to follow the slope of the ground. If you need a fence, you should use these guys!

We had Tornado damage on March 25th 2021 and I called American Fence the next week and Mitch came right on out and gave me a quote. 4 to 5 weeks later we have a new chain link fence and it LOOKS GREAT!!! After getting multiple estimates, we opted to go with American Fence Company. We wanted a combination of scalloped white PVC fencing and black vinyl chain link fencing. They had to order the PVC fencing but once it arrived, they had us scheduled within a couple of days. The job was completed in two days and we couldnt be happier! The workers were very courteous and friendly, they cleaned up upon completion and the fence looks great!! I would definitely recommend the guys at American Fence Company!!

This is one of the top and oldest fence companies in Tuscaloosa, so basing my choice on whom to call was based on the reviews for it. I was disappointed after I was scheduled for an estimate. The fellow told me that he came by, I was not home when he said that he came. We did communicate after he allegedly came by and I asked about the entire area I had just gotten surveyed for the fence, which he was aware of, and he told me that some of the property was not included in the area that he looked at, but he assured me that he would “pull it up” and get back with me in a few days. It is going on two months now and as unbelievable as it may seem, no one has contacted me at all. Soooooo, what other evidence is needed to show this company did not want to work with me? This company is no longer at the top as far as I am concerned and the lack of professionalism is totally unacceptable.

We had to call this company 3 times just to get them to even consider taking a look at what we needed to have fixed. Finally someone came out and later gave a final estimate of what everything would be. Which turned out to be more than we expected and a bit more expensive than we anticipated. Eventually we were going to settle with just having a repair instead of having everything taken down and replaced with vinyl. We ended up calling them 3 more times and finally someone picked up, but the person we needed for the job wasn’t in office. He said he would pass the information to him and asked for our number to call back when they were supposed to already have it. We never heard a word back from them and the amount of time wasted with this company was unacceptable. I will never contact them to do anything again.

This was the second project that I have had American fence do for me. I have been very pleased both times. They have done both wooden and chain link fencing projects and the workmanship and materials were both top quality. The work area was also left very clean.

American fence did a excellent job on my new fence. The ground was gently rolling and I was so concerned about there being gaps under the fence and my small dog would escape. However, the guys did a great job keeping the top level and looking pretty while still securing any gaps! Also they completed a half acre 6ft fence in 2.5days and kept everything clean and neat in the process.

Fast, easy and great to work with!!We had Mitch come out and give us an estimate for our fence so that it could be installed once we closed on our new home. He met me at the house as planned and went over a few different options (layout, materials, etc) for our odd backyard. He confirmed everything with me and then drew up two different quotes/layouts for me to choose from. Once I decided, he scheduled me for the earliest business day after our closing. We had a lot of rain that week and he emailed me the week before letting me know that the project start day would be postponed a few days (completely understandable!).Mitch and his crew of 3 men came out the first day, they marked out where the fence would go and the team got started putting the post in. They completed the job in 3 days (installing the last gate on the fourth day). Overall, very pleased with the communication and workmanship. If you need a fast, great looking fence give them a call.

This company did a professional job. Our ornamental fence was high quality. Our neighborhood had certain requirements for fencing. Not only did they do the job right they embedded the fence properly into the ground included cement post holes to brace the fence. They did the job right and I would be happy to recommend them to my friends. My wife is satisfied and that was the best part!

The American Fence Company built 3 really solid gates for me. I needed the largest of the gates custom made and they did a great job and listened to what my needs were.

American Fence did an excellent job of replacing a 6’ double wooden gate at my home, as well as replacing pickets in the privacy fence as needed. I had a fence installed a few years ago. They did a good job. The problem is, if you ever need a repair - good luck. I had a branch take out one small section and the company doesnt see it worth their while to schedule a repair. I understand things are busy, but when it comes to customer service I would think helping an existing customer would still be a priority.

We have used American Fence on several occasions to replace gates and fencing (over 2,000 ft). They take pride in their work and strive to not just meet the expectations of the customer but exceed them. They are timely, communicate well, and are reasonable on pricing/billing. I dont bother getting additional estimates from other fencing companies any more as I know American Fence will get it done right and at a reasonable cost.

American Fence of Tuscaloosa, installed our Steele fence. We had many quotes, and American Fence was our best choice. We had a positive experience and service was exceptional. Alex and his team honored their word and work! The fence process took only two half days! First day poles were set, and second day panels were installed! He discovered that the electrical line had been nicked by the fence installers, and this was causing a shortage to the pool pump shutting the system down. I spoke with American Fence about this issue and here is their response!!!!********Kenny,Since it is a private utility, we are not responsible for the damage. The reasoning behind this is the utility locators only mark public utilities and will not mark private lines such as sprinklers, private electrical lines, plumbing lines, etc. Since there is no way to locate them, we are not responsible for damage to unmarked private utilities. It states this on the proposal/contract I sent you. I hate this happened, but there isnt anything I can do.Alex*future clients *** this install was 6000 dollars youd think the company out of good business would make sure that there isnt utility lines where fence post are to be placed??? Poor business it seems to me! Read the small print people!! Sad that people get ripped off these days!
