Honestly my first time visiting was a terrible experience. Its they have tons of inventory and things I would buy, however the staff were jerks, and would not help or answer questions. I needed something that was in a cabinet, after talking to 3 different reps, one finally said no one will help you untill you take and wait for you number.I no not recommend, the staff is helpless

First time visiting a micro center and I can say that it is genuinely everything that i had expected/hoped for. Although this location was undergoing renovations, you can tell that the employees and staff were working with pride and excellence. Greg was a great person to meet and personally helped me thought the store. I would like to personally thank the Tustin Micro Center team for the great experience. I will make it a point to be back. This is heaven on earth for computer nerds. The layout recently changed to more of a warehouse style and its made it a lot easier to browse inventory. Its like if heaven got an upgrade to heaven++

Micro Center is a consistent one stop build your own computer center. We received excellent quality customer service at the Micro Center by Matthew Abele, Build your Own, Associate. We wanted to build our nephew a computer. Matthew was our guide. He worked within our budget. We felt like our lives mattered because of the thoughtful service and suggestions. We came out feeling like we the most for our money.

The experience is phenomenal--trust me on this one. I was around here during my vacation, and I remembered there should be one Micro Center within 1 hour of drive from my hotel, so I decided to go there.The first noticeable thing especially if you have never been to one is how gigantic this place is for just primarily computer parts and other tech items. This is nerd haven for sure. Unlike Best Buy, this place has a wide, and I mean it, variety of items starting from CPU, CPU cooler, memory, motherboard, and even peripherals. You can build a very customized PC (including custom water cooling tubing) from zero to ready-to-use here.The staff are excellent, take it from someone who has never been this impressed before. They are friendly, polite, and not appearing as condescending in any way. To top the cherry off, you do not have to pretend to know your stuff about PC so the staff wont screw you over by trying to upsell you stuff you dont need. In fact, you are more than welcomed to ask them questions about stuff even if you, at the time of asking, have zero intention to purchase it.I was looking for a motherboard to upgrade for my prebuilt PC. While I wont say I know every nook and cranny of PC motherboard, I do know a lot about them. I pretended to know things just barely there to be able to tell the staff the brand and the model and that I only knew about B, H and Z series for Intel. The staff walked me through giving her opinion as well as trying to let me know about how each chipset is tiered against each other. When she saw me somewhat conflicted, she did not take the chance to try and persuade me making a purchase, rather she told me to take my time and do some research first on the Internet.Another staff that I encountered was when I was looking for a headphone. I explained to them that I had zero intention to buy the headphone right away, and it was only for personal information before I decided anything. He was absolutely fine with it, and directed me to a staff he knew as a headphone expert of some sort. He took his time to figure out which headphone he personally recommended, and even going as far as telling me to get a non-USB thingy one since that would deduct the otherwise exact same item price by about $30.Oh, I ended up buying a G502 Hero and a Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut for when I upgrade my motherboard.

Under remodeling construction when I was there, but their staff is great and prices are really competitive.... UPDATE, UPDATE. My recent visit was on a weekend. Store was a little crowded, but not too bad. I went there to buy an item that showed in stock on their website. Note that they DONT have a phone number listed to call & verify inventory and their chat service is useless for inventory.. I waited for a salesperson, and the kid that helped me guffawed and told me that they didnt have the item.... AND to do not trust the online inventory website. When I told him that I could have saved the 25 mile drive if they had a phone number, the kid whined about receiving 500 calls if they had a phone number. First of all, CS IS HIS JOB. Secondly, if he gets 500 calls about an OOS item on the website, then FIX your dam website. Thirdly, its reeks of bait & switch to lure customers in with a supposed in-stock item. I can now see plenty of holes in their business model. Wont be long until they end up like Frys.

My first time. I thought I could get a little help attaching an antenna to a Smart TV, 24. The guy in repair said he could give me one minute. He had no customers. I thought that was rude.

I went in yesterday with the intent of walking out with a 3080 ti, even if it meant buying a pre-built PC. The sales rep, I believe his name is Malakai (please forgive me if I messed that up), went far above and beyond to help me get what I was looking for. We went through a few different solutions/ideas to get me one, and he was extremely patient with me until we found the perfect solution. I couldnt be happier with this experience. I used to buy all my PC parts from an online only retailer, but after shopping here, I will forever return to this store and hopefully Malakai for all my future needs. THANK YOU MY DUDE!!!

This place is awful. Reminds me of shopping in a 3rd-world country. The shelves and isles are filthy. There’s pallets of stock obstructing walkways. It’s like Fry’s but trashier somehow, which is very hard to imagine.The only reason I justify driving here is the price, but that was even an issue. You have to proactively check that they give you the $20 cpu/mobo combo discount or else they won’t do anything for you. I spent almost $700 on components and they omitted the $20 discount.The open-box program is a scam. They sold me a motherboard that’s going to fail, at best, or be a fire hazard, at worst. I got done building my pc, then noticed liquid metal on the AM4 backplate, so I looked around the components and found liquid metal UNDER a component.I contacted them in the morning via their text chat and they said they could exchange via mail, then the manager emailed me back 9 hours later saying he “just” got the email and he couldn’t do an exchange.Now I’m stuck with junk and to swap it out I have to brave the junk-yard store. This place is not worth the hassle. Just get it from Newegg and call it a day.Their credit card is through Wells Fargo, so if you’re trying to avoid working with Wells F., skip getting their credit card too.

Turning into the recently lost Frys, now no one knows where anything is. Reserve online, drive 2 hours to find out an hour ago they sent an email to tell me dont have it in stock. Sign at pickup states order online, pickup in 18 minutes (or some other short time) No one knows if there is a way to notify me and reserve it when they get them in. Website has a locate feature, that sends you on a wild goose chase trying to find something. There was one person the did help me to buy an item, that the computer showed they were out of stock. Caused a little issue sell it two me, and there were 8 more in the case. Defunked Frys on their.

I must say this place had everything we needed. Electronics, computer parts and knowledgeable customer service. We found everything we needed for our new build.

Do not buy from this store if you are not local. I was told if I paid for the two-year warranty I could pay for shipping to the store to obtain a replacement if my CPU was faulty, which it was. It is nearly impossible to get a hold of the store. Multiple tickets to customer support and even they can not get in touch with the store.As well, the Manager/Supervisor at the store does not respond back to emails. At this point, I am just collecting reference numbers from customer service.The only reason this gets two stars is because I imagine I am in an odd situation, and they would probably have better in-store support if you live nearby. As well, they generally have stock.For me, I will probably stick to Amazon or Best Buy.

First time here. A bit far from our home. A 100 times better than frys (though I still miss frys). Employees seem to know what they are talking about and they try to be super helpful without being too pushy. Good thing its far because Ill probably buy more stuff.

What a great store. Much more complete and comprehensive than Best Buy (which I didnt imagine possible). Has 3D Printers, Build your Own computer equipment, DIY electronics supplies, an aisle for trending items like Vlogging and Podcasting equipment. Two times the selection of computers as Best Buy, plenty of TVs, tablets, and phones. I dont usually write reviews but decided that it was needed to make an exception in this case. I drove for an hour to get there and was not disappointed...they had all of the Arduino and Raspberry Pi stuff that you dont normally find in Brick and Mortar stores.

PLEASE GET MORE AFFORDABLE GPUS IN STOCKEdit: I came in because I saw online that some GPUs were in stock, I was THIRD in line and THEY SOLD OUT which is fine, GPUs are in high demand and the market is cutthroat. However, the employee who was helping me was kind of rude to me. The 2 cards I wanted were sold out, so I asked what else was in stock. He just said that the 30 series were sold out and bye. It still says online that there are still some in stock, minus the two that were sold? I am not owed an explanation but the way I was dismissed was unpleasant. Most of the staff are both very knowledgeable in CPUs and good with customer service, but based on other reviews, there are some that need improvement in dealing with customers. I work in customer service and I would never speak to customers that way.Edit: sooo the website still says that a 3080 is available for in store purchase only. No 3090 or 3060, but I wanted the 3080. It says it was sitting in the store the whole day. I dont ever want to be aggressive and insistent with employees but I feel like I should have in this situation. I feel like I was lied to and dismissed. Im never coming here again

This store has tried to support less tech savvy customers by using sales help who earn based on what the customer buys. (I think). The sales helper tried to help. I appreciate the help. The store could provide more information and helpful displays for less savvy customers

Parking lot full. Store full. During lunchtime. Placed my order for pickup the day before. App stayed 20 min to pickup. Went in? No one waiting, in and out in 5 min. Next to freeway with easy on and off.

An associate named Ryan Doan assisted us and he was very helpful and friendly! When there was a problem with our payment at checkout the associate at the register was also very patient. Overall a great, quick and easy experience! And we got a great deal in comparison to places like Best Buy and Costco. I’ll definitely go to Micro Center for all future electronic-related purchases. :)

First time to a Micro Center. It is a good thing I have some restraint. There was so much maker, STEM, and retro gear in there I could have bought my way into bankruptcy getting all the cool things my kid in a candy store mentality was screaming I needed. I was also asked if I wanted any assistance with anything by an employee just about every time I wandered into a new area.

One of the few places left to buy computer components and consumer electronics in person, luckily they are one of the best places to do so as well.

They were super helpful and very knowledgeable. I had an issue and originally went to Best Buy and nobody there knew how to fix it. Here at micro center they knew exactly how to fix it, what products I needed, and told me how to set it up. Very satisfied and will be going there from now on.

The staff helping to build your own PC or find stuff were absolutely horrible one staff member literally said if your question is longer than 2 seconds I cant help you I understand they are busy but this was incredibly rude. Other than those staff members the rest were helpful and friendly but definitely have a bad vibe now.

Started researching ideas for a new desktop PC and accidentally happened across the website to this store...with the sites live chat options I was able to get all my questions answered so that I felt confident making my purchase. Instead of buying my stuff online and shipping it, I bought my PC in their store on the same day, with all the specs I needed and wanted - even with the graphics card shortage, I had no issues! Every associate I crossed paths with was super nice, patient and helpful. I had issues with my credit card going through and ended up on the phone with my bank to get the issue solved - all the while, the cashier was extremely patient. Ive never encountered such awesome customer service as while at this store. I am confident if any issues arise down the line with my PC, they will be there to help. Highly recommended!

Really great selection and prices are great too. Basically I price matched with Amazon, and it was actually cheaper and quicker just to pick up what I needed at the store than to order online. Plus there are so many great hobbyist things in there that its really worth a trip.

The store has great inventory, but is poorly managed. I went in to buy RAM and an SSD, waited over an hour for one of the two employees to unlock the case, and ultimately ran out of time and bought the items off of AmazonI wish there was a way to buy items without having the pull a number and wait with people who are receiving technical support and advice. I was literally staring at the items I needed but couldn’t purchasePerhaps store these expensive items in larger plastic cases that are unlocked at the cash register?

Most convenient place for most of my tech needs. Easy to browse online and then pickup in the store. Sometimes a little challenging to find exactly what I found online but maybe thats just me.

Drove an hour to pick up a mic stand for my set up. I brought the specs of the mic I was using and was guided to purchase one for about $100. When I got home I immediately try to set it up and it does not work.. now I have to drive an hour back to return? Very frustrating experience as I felt rushed while being assured it would work. When I asked once more for clarification one of the gentleman answered with a condescending tone does it say universal? then yeah it is without me answering his first question.... Come to find out, its not universal so thanks.. I feel as if I was sold without any real effort by the staff. Aside from the return I have to make this left a really bad taste in my mouth.. I would advise you do your own research if you go to this store.

Their staff is always interested in their customers and will usually drop everything to help. I would totally recommend you visit, even if you dont have an interest in tech!

I purchased a g509 yesterday and paid for its actual price which was $1,199 then when I got home and checked the PC it was a different one g229. The staff admitted that it was their fault and they were having that problem since and was trying to fix it but didnt. So I got a $899 pc instead of the $1,199. They wouldnt do return or exchange just because the serial number on the box and pc was different. They wouldnt do anything about it and now im stuck with the g229

Certain things are a bit pricier than what you can find online but the service was top notch, and I liked seeing what I was getting with my eyes. The selection of nearly anything is huge with multiple options to choose from, would visit again.

The best place to buy parts!! Micro center I think is the best place to find a bargain on anything you need that computer related I absolutely love the price match options, I bought a 3d printer and the filaments are nothing but the best quality, also I recently bought a projector screen 100” inland brand and I can tell you it was the best quality the picture looks crisp. All for the the low low price on 80.00$ what I should of done is got there motorized one but oh well this will do. Absolutely the best prices for monitors. Employees here are very friendly and helpful.

I waited almost an hour to process my return. Wait for it… without a receipt. A defective Razer board I just wanted exchanged. Most stores would have shrugged and told me to hit the road. I didn’t even have my purchase date right, to make it confusing I’d bought and returned the same board in different color on a different day. The store staff member spent multiple attempts trying to locate my receipt (Apple pay apparently is a pain)… and took care of the situation. I can’t very many if any stores of this caliber. There’s a reason why this place held in high steem, it’s not just hype. if you’re in the area, there’s no reason for Amazon short of them just not carrying what you need (which id find surprising they have a fairly extensive inventory)..

Still a bait and switch scam. Products listed in stock arent actually in stock. Against my better judgement I went back here to pick up 2 hard drives that the web site listed 6 in stock. Of course theyre not in stock and they try to sell you something else.

Alright .. its about time I leave a review.As a die hard Frys fan I was forced to make the switch. The customer service here is beyond exceptional, in fact they put chic-fil-a on notice. Ive been here twice and the representatives are incredibly knowledgeable about what theyre selling, they even go as far as pulling up videos to show you how to install a part while carrying your precious silicon items for you like a fancy butler. Besides walking out spending nearly $900 I feel like I left Tustin Microcenter the same way I say goodbye to an old friend, I sure hope they pay these guys well! In addition, they have copious amounts of parts for sale, it reminds me of a Japanese swap meet, super cool and you dont really know you need it until you see it. My computer now shoots lasers and sings retro synth vibe hits from the 80s while ripping Crysis 3 on 4k (not to forget the bundle deals I was unaware of). This is the future.So long Microcenter, until my next paycheck.

Got all of my pc parts here and was one of the technicians helped me optimize my pc build for the best performance at a reasonable price. The people there are really friendly and will be willing to help you with any questions you have if you are building your first computer. I had to go to microcenter a couple times with problems I had with installing some essential parts to my pc build. They were willing to help me install some of the parts that I had trouble with installing since they were expensive parts after all. After that, I was able to get to the post screen. Thank you to the employees at microcenter for creating my pc build for me!

Took my adult son here who is a complete computer aficionado. He tells me it is absolutely one of the best places to get the components and equipment you need for computers.

Edit: I want to be clear - I am not posting a review because we didn’t end up getting what we came here for. It’s the way the situation was handled.Honestly, we came here because the reviews were incredible. I was ready to have my socks knocked off by how incredible this place was. I could go into a novel about incident after incident here. And listen, I work in customer service, I’m not trying to be a Karen. But the manager, Greg Moore, is the kind of guy that will be incredibly condescending and talk himself in circles with a smile on his face. Just an absolutely wretched human being with zero people skills or concern for customer service. He couldn’t legitimately answer any of the basic questions we had about his products. People like him and places like this are why the recreational tech/gaming industry is so toxic. Thank you for coming to my tedtalk.

Great floor staff who are very helpful and knowledgeable. Those stars are for those folks alone. Pretty much the only game in town when it comes to components. But their checkout queue is a nightmare, whether its a lack of cashiers or the sheer volume of people that comes in doesnt matter, thats for them to solve. But Im not waiting in a Disneyland sized line for something I can ultimately get online if I need to.

I had never been here and my first experience wasnt bad. It was crowded with people and everywhere I saw there was employees doing there job in such an excellent way. Service was nice wait wasnt so long considering the fact that there was a lot of customers. Anything about technology that you could possibly need from cables to chairs to TVs cameras laptops anything its here. The prices are fair the place was very spacious and it was a very nice experience.

I went in looking for a printer and couldnt find anywhere.. I decided to just take a chance and ask the sales rep that I went in looking for a printer and that they have two in stock but I didnt see it.. He explained to me that there printer section was not up to par for a while but that they do have printers.. I got excited be cause I could not find the Epson 8500 anywhere. He actually went out of his way with no hesitation and found it for me. Thank you for the excellent and friendly service.

I didnt like the fact that even though my pc was fully paid for online for in-store pick up and I had the confirmation number the person who paid for it had to go all the way back after I just came from there because they needed to swipe the card for whatever reason at counter.. that wasnt mentioned anywhere during the online check out process... just sayin

I have been using Microcenter for 10+ years now. I used to price match but what’s the use they always beat lowest cost and stay current on competitors sales. Carry most components for almost all system types except servers and commercial type equipment (Cisco, HPE - servers / routers switches for industrial use) which is expected. Mostly good results and I always first store I go to for home tech equipment.

My first impressions at this Microcenter were positive, as I observe that the times I would actually shop was when it isn’t busy. But as for my overall experience, it’s terrible because of a single instance that they had a bad day. The measures they took were absolutely unprofessional. The communication between consumers and their employees(managers and associates) is inexcusably flawed. On a particular day, in the midst of the famous Ryzen and Nivida launch, they had many customers a couple of hours before opening. Without explicitly advertising that they had no stock, and a bug false website ad, they had them wait until another hour without reason to find out the truth.It has been three months, that they had this issue, but they refuse to learn from the mistakes except vent upon their customers by unprofessionally handling huge launch days. They would use the heavy scarce demand to hide their flaws.For most consumers waiting in line; they would be happy to have received the product they so desired: not thinking there is a problem with Microcenter’s association.Microcenter does not realize there is a problem until they are notably confronted with authorities about health safety issues. They find workarounds that are indeed lately implemented, which confuse the hell out of customers.And the reason why I would base this experience as one star is because of a personal quarrel. I would argue, they are the best when the store is not busy or empty, but they are absolutely worst in general just because in nature, their service is just as bad.Take my heed with consideration. Shop here if you think getting the best or at all is worth the risk of abused management power and incompetence of handling the most essential matters.*edit1: I gave an extra star because I received a reply that seems to show some concern.

This is a PC lovers dream destination. Only bad thing is they sell out of things really quick and dont restock it for quite some time. Its a really big store with everything from raw PC building components to pre-builds, laptops, monitors, keyboards, gaming chairs, VR, gaming headsets and a lot more. We had to wait almost an hour to get in due to the Wuhan flu precautions but it was worth it. We also got a great deal on a processor.

So informative and never rushed me or made me feel like I had to buy something.In addition, he also tried to help me find the best affordable prices on the things that I need.All the employee here are excellent! Eat your heart out Frys! For those who say Amazon is taking over retail stores, you havent been to Microcenter. This place is crowded and busy everyday. Its Black Friday all day and everyday at Microcenter except the huge crowd is well behaved. I went to shop for a computer case. There was a long line wrapping around the building. Took me over half an hour to get inside the building. Once inside, they have everything I was looking for and then some. I didnt get a chance to look around the store. Everything is organized and well maintained. They have everything in stock. I spent more time waiting in line than actually shopping. You wait in a long line at front check-out too. The line moved along quickly. The store location is in Tustin (Orange County.) This is the only store located in California. Wish they had more store locations here!

Well too much stuff hanging around(could be little more organized) other than that we are lucky to have one.

Remember back in the day before they imploded, how busy Frys was on Friday nights and everyone was excited to go?Thats Micro Center now. Great selection and solid prices. They have what you need and a lot of stuff you just want. Love it.

I haven’t been here but i know just that if i go there it will be amazing.

Great place to grab some ink for printers and buying all sorts of electronics parts and buying laptops for work
