I always have great experience here. This visit, I went in to have a toy guitar restrung. They suggested buying a new one (at walmart) because it wouldnt sound quite right even with new strings. Haha. Even after I decided to still have them restring it since it was a young childs toy and it was cheaper to do so, they didnt argue it or look at me cross. They gladly and happily fulfilled my request - and even cleaned it up best they could. Someday well get a real guitar for the kids, and we will very likely go here to get it.

My husband and I stopped by Welch Music on a whim, really just a fact finding mission on pianos. Hands down, best customer service from any business we have been inside in the last year! We couldnt help but buy a piano from here. The young man that helped us listened to our story, showed us a variety of pianos that could fit our needs, he answered our many questions, and he kindly delivered the item to our house! I would highly recommend Welch Music! They set the bar for how all customers should be treated.

We originally bought a keyboard piano that we found didn’t fit our family needs. Mark was very helpful and flexible in getting us a piano our family really needed. When shipping delays due to COVID posponed the new piano Mark again worked with us to find a piano available to ship. We now have had our Yamaha piano for a couple months and love it. John and the other staff are super helpful and knowledgeable. Great customer service, great follow through, and great products!!

I am not a musician but I have always wanted to learn how to play guitar. I came into the store today and Mark was incredible. He showed me around and explained everything in very clear and simple terms. He helped me pick out the perfect guitar without trying to sell me more than I needed. My girlfriend has had a terrible time here. Last year her bank account was charge 22 times in one day for her son’s trumpet rental. every time we go in the the sales people r grumpy and pushy and the rental repair time is forever long. Needless to say we will not be renting or buying here again.

I just bought a used sax for my son. Mark cut me a great deal and made sure the seals were in good shape. The service tech was also very helpful. He knocked out a dent and shined the sax up for me. Great experience. I will definitely shop at Welch in the future.

Great customer service experience. Even though I didnt purchase anything today the staff were extremely helpful, were not trying to push me to more expensive selections, and when we are ready to make a purchase they will be our first choice.

Our daughter stripped out the tightening screw/nut on her violin bow. They had it fixed within five minutes and didn’t even charge us for it, even though we would have happily paid. We will definitely use them again!

These guys are awesome! They are always willing to help and have the best service in the Magic Valley when it comes to anything music.

Went in to check out accessories for a couple of different instruments. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful and the store was great to just browse in. The room where you could go in and test out the guitars was pretty great as well.

Great customer service, prices and repairs!

Im used to great local businesses willing to help you out. Unfortunately this isnt one of them. When I went in to see if I can test my guitars amp system using one of their amplifiers, the owner instantly became hostile and deriding. Since I didnt buy my guitar from their place, why should they let me use one of their amps for free? Obviously they arent known for customer service since there wasnt another customer in sight. I mentioned this obvious fact and left. A different music store a few blocks north was kind enough to let me use one of their amps, and the owners even spent time explaining how the different amps work. While I spent $20 at their place on guitar accessories, I wasnt looking for an amp that day. But guess which store I would go to when Im looking to buy an amp?

Put an order in 2 different times for a replacement part for my sons bells set in January and again in February. After June we still hadnt received the part. My sons grade in band was affected because his bells couldnt attach to its stand for concerts Wont ever return. Actually kinda made him hate band.

Ive bought and, know how to play due to school. Saxaphone, clarinet and, guitar. Ive bought multiples from them and will return.

Ive bought for or five instruments here, and one bass amp. In recent years the service has become slightly less friendly to those wanting to demo a guitar or amp, and the selection is a bit thin. Dont get me wrong, I like Peavey and Schecter, but theyve definitely trimmed down, especially since moving to the new location.
