Took in a 4 stroke string trimmer that was leaking oil. Prepaid $25 for them to look at it. 2 weeks later I call them and they tell me it needs a carburetor. Nothing about the oil leak. No confidence in what they told me was the truth or not.

Tried to support a local business; not impressed with them. I needed to replace my tillers carburetor. They didnt have it in stock and had to order it. They told me it would be available in one week. I came in a week later and no part; it had been back ordered. One month later they call and say the part is finally in. When I went to pick up the already paid for carburetor, they tell me that it was now a special order and I needed to pay for shipping! So this part ended up costing more than if I had ordered it online, took way longer to get, and got the feeling that I got ripped off with the shipping charge.

Rude as hell

Took my Craftsman string mower in because it wouldnt start. They cleaned it and charged me $60. Took it home and could not get it to start. Took in back within 24 hours and was told they dont warranty their work.Took it to Sears and they found the carburetor needed replacing. Cost me $90 but it worked and there was a 90 warranty.I will never go back to J&J.

I wont go back. It is not so much the 18 days it took for them to fix my mower. They told me 7 to 10 days when I dropped it off.It was the you are bothering me attitude I received when I phoned to check on it (4 times). And when I told them I was going to find a new shop (and why), they said they tried to phone me, but they wrote down the wrong phone number.......and made it sound like that, for some reason, that wasnt their fault, either.This shop just has too many customers.

Took in a John Deere push mower that I bought on Craigs list to be tuned up. $250 later they promised it was good as new. I got my yard mowed less than twice before the belt broke (if a mower hasnt been used in a few years and youre doing that much work, spend the $8 and replace the belt!). $50 later they had replaced the belt, but when I got it home the cable to the lever to put the blade up and down had about 2 inches of slack in it and it only started once. Took it back - they fixed it for free. Now the belt falls off periodically because its WAY too loose. Im taking it too the John Deere dealership instead.I wonder if it might have been fixed correctly if I wasnt a single woman...

Poor Customer Service . I came in a half hour before closing and picked out a lawn mower to buy but the manager refused to pull the lawn mower out due it might cause her mechanic to go into overtime. When we offered to pull it out our selves we were told that it was a liability for us to move the lawn mowers. Finally we said I will buy that lawn mower right now if you will get it for me and she refused. She lost my business that day and I will never be back.

I was asking an employee outside a question about my snowblower. Boss lady from inside came out and said I needed to go to the inside he needed to be to work which I thought customer service was work.
